Genesis 37 in Tamil

1 யாக்கோபு தன் தகப்பன் தங்கியிருந்த கானான் தேசத்திலே குடியிருந்தான். And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.

2 யாக்கோபுடைய சந்ததியின் வரலாறு: யோசேப்பு பதினேழு வயதிலே தன் சகோதரருடனே ஆடுகளை மேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; அந்த இளைஞன் பில்காள் சில்பாள் என்னும் தன் தகப்பனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டிகளின் குமாரரோடே இருந்து, அவர்களுடைய துன்மார்க்கத்தைத் தன் தகப்பனுக்குச் சொல்லிவருவான். These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.

3 இஸ்ரவேலின் முதிர்வயதிலே யோசேப்புத் தனக்குப் பிறந்ததினால், இஸ்ரவேல் தன் குமாரர் எல்லாரிலும் அவனை அதிகமாய் நேசித்து, அவனுக்குப் பலவருணமான அங்கியைச் செய்வித்தான். Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors.

4 அவனுடைய சகோதரர் எல்லாரிலும் அவனைத் தங்கள் தகப்பன் அதிகமாய் நேசிக்கிறதை அவன் சகோதரர் கண்டபோது, அவனோடே பட்சமாய்ப் பேசாமல் அவனைப் பகைத்தார்கள். And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

5 யோசேப்பு ஒரு சொப்பனம் கண்டு, அதைத் தன் சகோதரருக்கு அறிவித்தான்; அதினிமித்தம் அவனை இன்னும் அதிகமாய்ப் பகைத்தார்கள். And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

6 அவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நான் கண்ட சொப்பனத்தைக் கேளுங்கள்: And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

8 அப்பொழுது அவன் சகோதரர் அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ எங்கள்மேல் துரைத்தனம் பண்ணுவாயோ? நீ எங்களை ஆளப்போகிறாயோ? என்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவன் சொப்பனங்களின் நிமித்தமும், அவன் வார்த்தைகளின் நிமித்தமும் இன்னும் அதிகமாய்ப் பகைத்தார்கள். And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

9 அவன் வேறொரு சொப்பனம் கண்டு, தன் சகோதரரை நோக்கி: நான் இன்னும் ஒரு சொப்பனத்தைக் கண்டேன்; சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் பதினொரு நட்சத்திரங்களும் என்னை வணங்கினது என்றான். And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 இதை அவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்கும் தன் சகோதரருக்கும் சொன்னபோது, அவன் தகப்பன் அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ கண்ட இந்தச் சொப்பனம் என்ன? நானும் உன் தாயாரும் உன் சகோதரரும் தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து உன்னை வணங்க வருவோமோ? என்று அவனைக் கடிந்துகொண்டான். And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 அவன் சகோதரர் அவன்மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டார்கள்; அவன் தகப்பனோ அவன் சொன்னதை மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டான். And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

12 பின்பு, அவன் சகோதரர் சீகேமிலே தங்கள் தகப்பனுடைய ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கப் போனார்கள். And his brethren went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.

13 அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: உன் சகோதரர் சீகேமிலே ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? உன்னை அவர்களிடத்தில் அனுப்பப்போகிறேன், வா என்றான். அவன்: இதோ, போகிறேன் என்றான். And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

15 அப்பொழுது ஒரு மனிதன் அவன் வெளியிலே வழிதப்பித் திரிகிறதைக்கண்டு, என்ன தேடுகிறாய்? என்று அவனைக் கேட்டான். And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

16 அதற்கு அவன்: என் சகோதரரைத் தேடுகிறேன், அவர்கள் எங்கே ஆடு மேய்க்கிறார்கள், சொல்லும் என்றான். And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.

17 அந்த மனிதன்: அவர்கள் இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து போய்விட்டார்கள், தோத்தானுக்குப் போவோம் என்று அவர்கள் சொல்லக்கேட்டேன் என்றான்; அப்பொழுது யோசேப்பு தன் சகோதரரைத் தொடர்ந்துபோய், அவர்களைத் தோத்தானிலே கண்டுபிடித்தான். And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

18 அவர்கள் அவனைத் தூரத்தில் வரக்கண்டு, அவன் தங்களுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வருமுன்னே, அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி சதியோசனைபண்ணி, And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

19 ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நோக்கி: இதோ, சொப்பனக்காரன் வருகிறான், And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmaelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

26 அப்பொழுது யூதா தன் சகோதரரை நோக்கி: நாம் நம் சகோதரனைக் கொன்று, அவன் இரத்தத்தை மறைப்பதினால் லாபம் என்ன? And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

And they sent the coat of many colors, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.

34 தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்து, தன் அரையில் இரட்டுக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அநேகநாள் தன் குமாரனுக்காகத் துக்கித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான். And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

36 அந்த மீதியானியர் யோசேப்பை எகிப்திலே பார்வோனின் பிரதானியும் தலையாரிகளுக்கு அதிபதியுமாகிய போத்திபார் என்பவனிடத்தில் விற்றார்கள். And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

1 Yaakkopu than thakappan thangiyiruntha kaanaan thaesaththilae kutiyirunthaan. And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.

2 Yaakkoputaiya santhathiyin varalaaraு: yoseppu pathinaelu vayathilae than sakothararudanae aadukalai maeyththukkonntirunthaan; antha ilainjan pilkaal silpaal ennum than thakappanutaiya maraுmanaiyaattikalin kumaararotae irunthu, avarkalutaiya thunmaarkkaththaith than thakappanukkuch sollivaruvaan. These are the generations of Jacob. 4 Avanutaiya sakotharar ellaarilum avanaith thangal thakappan athikamaay naesikkirathai avan sakotharar kanndapothu, avanotae patchamaayp paesaamal avanaip pakaiththaarkal. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

5 Yoseppu oru soppanam kanndu, athaith than sakothararukku ariviththaan; athinimiththam avanai innum athikamaayp pakaiththaarkal. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

6 Avan avarkalai Nnokki: naan kannda soppanaththaik kaelungal: And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

7 Naam vayalil araுththa arikalaik kattikkonntirunthom; appoluthu ennutaiya arikkattu nimirnthirunthathu; ungal arikkattukal en arikkattaைch sutti vanangi nintathu entan. For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

8 Appoluthu avan sakotharar avanaip paarththu: nee engalmael thuraiththanam pannnuvaayo? Nee engalai aalappokiraayo? Entu solli, avanai avan soppanangalin nimiththamum, avan vaarththaikalin nimiththamum innum athikamaayp pakaiththaarkal. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

9 Avan vaeroru soppanam kanndu, than sakothararai Nnokki: naan innum oru soppanaththaik kanntaen; sooriyanum santhiranum pathinoru natchaththirangalum ennai vananginathu entan. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 Ithai avan than thakappanukkum than sakothararukkum sonnapothu, avan thakappan avanaip paarththu: nee kannda inthach soppanam enna? Naanum un thaayaarum un sakothararum tharaimattum kuninthu unnai vananga varuvomo? Entu avanaik katinthukonndaan. And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 Avan sakotharar avanmael poraamai konndaarkal; avan thakappano avan sonnathai manathilae vaiththukkonndaan. And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

12 Pinpu, avan sakotharar seekaemilae thangal thakappanutaiya aadukalai maeykkap ponaarkal. And his brethren went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.

13 Appoluthu Israel yoseppai Nnokki: un sakotharar seekaemilae aadukalai maeykkiraarkal allavaa? Unnai avarkalidaththil anuppappokiraேn, vaa entan. Avan: itho, pokiraேn entan. And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

14 Appoluthu avan: nee poy, un sakothararutaiya ேmam eppati entum, aadukal eppati irukkirathu entum paarththu, enakku maraுseythi konnduvaa entu avanukkuch solli, epiron pallaththaakkilae irunthu avanai anuppinaan; anthappatiyae avan seekaemukkup ponaan. And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

15 Appoluthu oru manithan avan veliyilae valithappith thirikirathaikkanndu, enna thaedukiraay? Entu avanaik kaettan. And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

16 Atharku avan: en sakothararaith thaedukiraேn, avarkal engae aadu maeykkiraarkal, sollum entan. And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.

17 Antha manithan: avarkal ivvidaththilirunthu poyvittarkal, thoththaanukkup povom entu avarkal sollakkaettaேn entan; appoluthu yoseppu than sakothararaith thodarnthupoy, avarkalaith thoththaanilae kanndupitiththaan. And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

18 Avarkal avanaith thooraththil varakkanndu, avan thangalukkuch sameepamaay varumunnae, avanaik kolaiseyyumpati sathiyosanaipannnni, And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

19 Oruvarai oruvar Nnokki: itho, soppanakkaaran varukiraan, And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

20 Naam avanaik kontu, inthak kulikal ontilae avanaip pottu, oru thushdamirukam avanaip patchiththathu entu solluvom vaarungal; avanutaiya soppanangal eppati mutiyum paarppom entarkal. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

21 Roopan athaik kaettu, avanai avarkal kaikkuth thappuviththu, avanai avan thakappanidaththukkuth thirumpavum konndupoka manathullavanaay, And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

22 Avarkalai Nnokki: avanaik kolla vaenndaam, neengal iraththam sinthalaakaathu; neengal avanmael kai vaiyaamal, avanai vanaantharaththilulla inthak kuliyilae pottuvidungal entu solli, ivvithamaay roopan avanai avarkal kaikkuth thappuviththaan. And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

23 Yoseppu than sakothararidaththil sernthapothu, yoseppu uduththikkonntiruntha palavaruna angiyai avarkal kalatti, And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him;

24 Avanai eduththu, anthak kuliyilae pottarkal; athu thannnneerillaatha veraுnguliyaayirunthathu. And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

25 Pinpu, avarkal pojananjaெyyumpati utkaarnthaarkal; avarkal thangal kannkalai aeraெdukkumpothu, itho, geelaeyaaththilirunthu varukira ismavaelarutaiya koottaththaik kanndaarkal; avarkal ekipthukkuk konndupokumpati kanthavarkkangalaiyum pisin thailaththaiyum vellaippolaththaiyum ottakangalmael aettikkonndu vanthaarkal. 27 Avanai intha ismavaelarukku vittaுppoduvom vaarungal; namathu kai avanmael padaathiruppathaaka; avan nammutaiya sakotharanum nammutaiya maamsamumaay irukkiraanae entan. Avan sakotharar avan sollukku inanginaarkal. Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

28 Antha varththakaraana meethiyaaniyar kadanthupokirapothu, avarkal yoseppai anthak kuliyilirunthu thookkiyeduththu, avanai ismavaelar kaiyil irupathu vellikkaasukku vittaுppottarkal. Avarkal yoseppai ekipthukkuk konnduponaarkal. 30 Than sakothararidaththukkuth thirumpi vanthu: ilainjan illaiyae, aiyo! Naan engae povaen entan. And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

31 Avarkal yoseppin angiyai eduththu, oru vellaattuk kadaavai atiththu, antha angiyai iraththaththilae thoyththu, And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

32 Pala varunamaana antha angiyaith thangal thakappanidaththukku anuppi: ithai naangal kanndeduththom, ithu ummutaiya kumaaran angiyo, allavo paarum entu sollachchaொnnaarkal.
