1 ஏதோமியரின் தகப்பனாகிய ஏசாவின் வம்சவரலாறு: Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 ஏசா கானான் தேசத்துப் பெண்களில் ஏத்தியனான ஏலோனின் குமாரத்தியாகிய ஆதாளையும், ஏவியனாகிய சிபியோனின் குமாரத்தியும் ஆனாகின் குமாரத்தியுமாகிய அகோலிபாமாளையும், Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;

3 இஸ்மவேலின் குமாரத்தியும் நெபாயோத்தின் சகோதரியுமாகிய பஸ்மாத்தையும் விவாகம்பண்ணியிருந்தான். And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

4 ஆதாள் ஏசாவுக்கு எலீப்பாசைப் பெற்றாள்; பஸ்மாத்து ரெகுவேலைப் பெற்றாள். And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

5 அகோலிபாமாள் எயூஷையும், யாலாமையும், கோராகையும் பெற்றாள்; இவர்களே ஏசாவுக்குக் கானான் தேசத்திலே பிறந்த குமாரர். And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

6 ஏசா தன் மனைவிகளையும், தன் குமாரரையும், தன் குமாரத்திகளையும், தன் வீட்டிலுள்ள யாவரையும், தன் ஆடுமாடுகளையும், மற்ற ஜீவஜந்துக்கள் யாவையும் தான் கானான் தேசத்திலே சம்பாதித்த ஆஸ்தி முழுவதையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, தன் சகோதரனாகிய யாக்கோபை விட்டுப் பிரிந்து வேறே தேசத்துக்குப் போனான். And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

7 அவர்களுடைய சம்பத்து மிகுதியாயிருந்தபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒருமித்துக் குடியிருக்கக் கூடாமற்போயிற்று; அவர்களுடைய மந்தைகளினிமித்தமாய் அவர்கள் தங்கியிருந்த பூமி அவர்களைத் தாங்கக் கூடாததாயிருந்தது. For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

8 ஆதலால் ஏசா சேயீர்மலையில் குடியேறினான்; ஏசாவுக்கு ஏதோம் என்று பேர். Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

9 சேயீர்மலையில் இருக்கிற ஏதோமியருடைய தகப்பனாகிய ஏசாவின் சந்ததிகளும், And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

10 ஏசாவின் குமாரருடைய நாமங்களுமாவன: ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய ஆதாளுடைய குமாரனுக்கு எலீப்பாஸ் என்று பேர்; ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய பஸ்மாத்துடைய குமாரனுக்கு ரெகுவேல் என்று பேர். These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

11 எலீப்பாஸின் குமாரர், தேமான், ஓமார், செப்போ, கத்தாம் கேனாஸ் என்பவர்கள். And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 திம்னாள் ஏசாவின் குமாரனாகிய எலீப்பாசுக்கு மறுமனையாட்டியாயிருந்து, எலீப்பாசுக்கு அமலேக்கைப் பெற்றாள்; இவர்களே ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய ஆதாளுடைய புத்திரர். And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

13 ரெகுவேலுடைய குமாரர், நகாத், செராகு, சம்மா, மீசா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய பஸ்மாத்தின் புத்திரர். And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

14 சிபியோனின் குமாரத்தியும் ஆனாகின் குமாரத்தியுமான அகோலிபாமாள் என்கிற ஏசாவின் மனைவி எயூஷ், யாலாம், கோராகு என்னும் புத்திரரை ஏசாவுக்குப் பெற்றாள். And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

15 ஏசாவின் குமாரரில் தோன்றிய பிரபுக்களாவன: ஏசாவுக்கு மூத்தமகனாகிய எலீப்பாசுடைய குமாரரில் தேமான் பிரபு, ஓமார் பிரபு, செப்போ பிரபு, கேனாஸ் பிரபு, These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

16 /கோராகு பிரபு, கத்தாம் பிரபு, அமலேக்கு பிரபு என்பவர்கள்; இவர͠ΕӠύ ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் எலீப்பாசின் சந்ததியும் ஆதாளின் குமாரருமாயிருந்த பிரபுக்கள். Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

17 ஏசாவின் குமாரனாகிய ரெகுவேலின் புத்திரரில் நகாத் பிரபு, செராகு பிரபு, சம்மா பிரபு, மீசா பிரபு என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் ரெகுவேலின் சந்ததியும் ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய பஸ்மாத்தின் குமாரருமாயிருந்த பிரபுக்கள். And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

18 ஏசாவின் மனைவியாகிய அகோலிபாமாளின் குமாரர், எயூஷ் பிரபு, யாலாம் பிரபு, கோராகு பிரபு, என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் ஆனாகின் குமாரத்தியும் ஏசாவுடைய மனைவியுமாகிய அகோலிபாமாளின் சந்ததியாயிருந்த பிரபுக்கள். And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.

19 இவர்களே ஏதோம் என்னும் ஏசாவின் சந்ததி; இவர்களே அவர்களில் இருந்த பிரபுக்கள். These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

20 அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளாகிய ஓரியனான சேயீரின் குமாரர், லோத்தான், சோபால், சிபியோன், ஆனாகு, These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

21 திஷோன், ஏத்சேர், திஷான் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் சேயீரின் புத்திரராகிய ஓரியருடைய சந்ததியாயிருந்த பிரபுக்கள். And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 லோத்தானுடைய குமாரர், ஓரி, ஏமாம் என்பவர்கள்; லோத்தானின் சகோதரி திம்னாள் என்பவள். And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.

23 சோபாலின் குமாரர், அல்வான், மானகாத், ஏபால், செப்போ, ஓனாம் என்பவர்கள். And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

24 சிபியோனின் குமாரர், அயா, ஆனாகு என்பவர்கள்; வனாந்தரத்திலே தன் தகப்பனாகிய சிபெயோனின் கழுதைகளை மேய்க்கையில், கோவேறு கழுதைகளைக் கண்டுபிடித்த ஆனாகு இவன்தான். And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

25 ஆனாகின் பிள்ளைகள், திஷோன், அகோலிபாமாள் என்பவர்கள்; இந்த அகோலிபாமாள் ஆனாகின் குமாரத்தி. And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

26 திஷோனுடைய குமாரர், எம்தான், எஸ்பான், இத்தரான், கெரான் என்பவர்கள். And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 ஏத்சேருடைய குமாரர், பில்கான், சகவான், அக்கான் என்பவர்கள். The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

28 திஷானுடைய குமாரர், ஊத்ஸ், அரான் என்பவர்கள். The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.

29 ஓரியரின் சந்ததியில் தோன்றிய பிரபுக்கள், லோத்தான் பிரபு, சோபால் பிரபு, சிபியோன் பிரபு, ஆனாகு பிரபு, These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

30 திஷோன் பிரபு, ஏத்சேர் பிரபு, திஷான் பிரபு என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே சேயீர் தேசத்திலே தங்கள் தங்கள் இடங்களில் இருந்த ஓரியர் சந்ததியான பிரபுக்கள். Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.

31 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர்மேல் ராஜாக்கள் அரசாளுகிறதற்கு முன்னே, ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் ஆண்ட ராஜாக்களாவன: And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.

32 பேயோருடைய குமாரனாகிய பேலா ஏதோமிலே அரசாண்டான்; அவனுடைய பட்டணத்துக்குத் தின்காபா என்று பேர். And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 பேலா மரித்தபின், போஸ்றா பட்டணத்தானாகிய சேராகுடைய குமாரனாகிய யோபாப் அவன் பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான் And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

34 யோபாப் மரித்தபின், தேமானிய தேசத்தானாகிய உஷாம் அவன் பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான். And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.

35 உஷாம் மரித்தபின், மோவாபின் நாட்டிலே மீதியானியரை முறிய அடித்த பேதாதின் குமாரனாகிய ஆதாத் அவன் பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான்; அவனுடைய பட்டணத்துக்கு ஆவீத் என்று பேர். And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

36 ஆதாத் மரித்தபின், மஸ்ரேக்கா ஊரானாகிய சம்லா அவனுடைய பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான். And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

37 சம்லா மரித்தபின் அங்கே இருக்கிற நதிக்குச் சமீபமான ரெகொபோத் என்னும் ஊரானாகிய சவுல் அவனுடைய பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான். And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

38 சவுல் மரித்தபின், அக்போருடைய குமாரனாகிய பாகால்கானான் அவனுடைய பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான். And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

39 அக்போருடைய குமாரனாகிய பாகால்கானான் மரித்தபின், ஆதார் அவனுடைய பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான்; அவனுடைய பட்டணத்துக்குப் பாகு என்று பேர்; அவன் மனைவியின் பேர் மெகதபேல்; அவன் மத்ரேத்துடைய குமாரத்தியும் மேசகாவின் குமாரத்தியுமாய் இருந்தாள். And Baalhanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

40 தங்கள் பற்பல வம்சங்களின்படியேயும் வாசஸ்தலங்களின்படியேயும் நாமதேயங்களின்படியேயும் ஏசாவின் சந்ததியில் தோன்றிய பிரபுக்களுடைய நாமங்களாவன: திம்னா பிரபு, அல்வா பிரபு, ஏதேத் பிரபு, And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,

41 அகோலிபாமா பிரபு, ஏலா பிரபு, பினோன் பிரபு, Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

42 கேனாஸ் பிரபு, தேமான் பிரபு, மிப்சார் பிரபு, Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

43 மக்தியேல் பிரபு, ஈராம் பிரபு; இவர்களே தங்கள் சொந்தமான தேசத்திலே பற்பல இடங்களில் குடியிருந்த ஏதோம் சந்ததிப் பிரபுக்கள்; இந்த ஏதோமியருக்குத் தகப்பன் ஏசா. Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.

1 Aethomiyarin thakappanaakiya aesaavin vamsavaralaaraு: Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 Aesaa kaanaan thaesaththup pennkalil aeththiyanaana aelonin kumaaraththiyaakiya aathaalaiyum, aeviyanaakiya sipiyonin kumaaraththiyum aanaakin kumaaraththiyumaakiya akolipaamaalaiyum, Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;

3 Ismavaelin kumaaraththiyum nepaayoththin sakothariyumaakiya pasmaaththaiyum vivaakampannnniyirunthaan. And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

4 Aathaal aesaavukku eleeppaasaip pettaாl; pasmaaththu rekuvaelaip pettaாl. And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

5 Akolipaamaal eyooshaiyum, yaalaamaiyum, koraakaiyum pettaாl; ivarkalae aesaavukkuk kaanaan thaesaththilae pirantha kumaarar. And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

6 Aesaa than manaivikalaiyum, than kumaararaiyum, than kumaaraththikalaiyum, than veettilulla yaavaraiyum, than aadumaadukalaiyum, matta jeevajanthukkal yaavaiyum thaan kaanaan thaesaththilae sampaathiththa aasthi muluvathaiyum serththukkonndu, than sakotharanaakiya yaakkopai vittup pirinthu vaeraே thaesaththukkup ponaan. And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

7 Avarkalutaiya sampaththu mikuthiyaayirunthapatiyinaal avarkal orumiththuk kutiyirukkak koodaamarpoyittaு; avarkalutaiya manthaikalinimiththamaay avarkal thangiyiruntha poomi avarkalaith thaangak koodaathathaayirunthathu. For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

8 Aathalaal aesaa seyeermalaiyil kutiyaerinaan; aesaavukku aethom entu paer. Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

9 Seyeermalaiyil irukkira aethomiyarutaiya thakappanaakiya aesaavin santhathikalum, And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

10 Aesaavin kumaararutaiya naamangalumaavana: aesaavin manaiviyaakiya aathaalutaiya kumaaranukku eleeppaas entu paer; aesaavin manaiviyaakiya pasmaaththutaiya kumaaranukku rekuvael entu paer. These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

11 Eleeppaasin kumaarar, thaemaan, omaar, seppo, kaththaam kaenaas enpavarkal. And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 Thimnaal aesaavin kumaaranaakiya eleeppaasukku maraுmanaiyaattiyaayirunthu, eleeppaasukku amalaekkaip pettaாl; ivarkalae aesaavin manaiviyaakiya aathaalutaiya puththirar. And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

13 Rekuvaelutaiya kumaarar, nakaath, seraaku, sammaa, meesaa enpavarkal; ivarkalae aesaavin manaiviyaakiya pasmaaththin puththirar. And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

14 Sipiyonin kumaaraththiyum aanaakin kumaaraththiyumaana akolipaamaal enkira aesaavin manaivi eyoosh, yaalaam, koraaku ennum puththirarai aesaavukkup pettaாl. And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

15 Aesaavin kumaararil thontiya pirapukkalaavana: aesaavukku mooththamakanaakiya eleeppaasutaiya kumaararil thaemaan pirapu, omaar pirapu, seppo pirapu, kaenaas pirapu, These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

16 /koraaku pirapu, kaththaam pirapu, amalaekku pirapu enpavarkal; ivara͠ΕӠύ aethom thaesaththil eleeppaasin santhathiyum aathaalin kumaararumaayiruntha pirapukkal. Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

17 Aesaavin kumaaranaakiya rekuvaelin puththiraril nakaath pirapu, seraaku pirapu, sammaa pirapu, meesaa pirapu enpavarkal; ivarkal aethom thaesaththil rekuvaelin santhathiyum aesaavin manaiviyaakiya pasmaaththin kumaararumaayiruntha pirapukkal. And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

18 Aesaavin manaiviyaakiya akolipaamaalin kumaarar, eyoosh pirapu, yaalaam pirapu, koraaku pirapu, enpavarkal; ivarkal aanaakin kumaaraththiyum aesaavutaiya manaiviyumaakiya akolipaamaalin santhathiyaayiruntha pirapukkal. And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.

19 Ivarkalae aethom ennum aesaavin santhathi; ivarkalae avarkalil iruntha pirapukkal. These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

20 Anthath thaesaththin kutikalaakiya oriyanaana seyeerin kumaarar, loththaan, sopaal, sipiyon, aanaaku, These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

21 Thishon, aethser, thishaan enpavarkal; ivarkalae aethom thaesaththil seyeerin puththiraraakiya oriyarutaiya santhathiyaayiruntha pirapukkal. And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 Loththaanutaiya kumaarar, ori, aemaam enpavarkal; loththaanin sakothari thimnaal enpaval. And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.

23 Sopaalin kumaarar, alvaan, maanakaath, aepaal, seppo, onaam enpavarkal. And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

24 Sipiyonin kumaarar, ayaa, aanaaku enpavarkal; vanaantharaththilae than thakappanaakiya sipeyonin kaluthaikalai maeykkaiyil, kovaeraு kaluthaikalaik kanndupitiththa aanaaku ivanthaan. And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

25 Aanaakin pillaikal, thishon, akolipaamaal enpavarkal; intha akolipaamaal aanaakin kumaaraththi. And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

26 Thishonutaiya kumaarar, emthaan, espaan, iththaraan, keraan enpavarkal. And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 Aethserutaiya kumaarar, pilkaan, sakavaan, akkaan enpavarkal. The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

28 Thishaanutaiya kumaarar, ooths, araan enpavarkal. The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.

29 Oriyarin santhathiyil thontiya pirapukkal, loththaan pirapu, sopaal pirapu, sipiyon pirapu, aanaaku pirapu, These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

30 Thishon pirapu, aethser pirapu, thishaan pirapu enpavarkal; ivarkalae seyeer thaesaththilae thangal thangal idangalil iruntha oriyar santhathiyaana pirapukkal. Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.

31 Israel puththirarmael raajaakkal arasaalukiratharku munnae, aethom thaesaththil aannda raajaakkalaavana: And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.

32 Paeyorutaiya kumaaranaakiya paelaa aethomilae arasaanndaan; avanutaiya pattanaththukkuth thinkaapaa entu paer. And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 Paelaa mariththapin, posraa pattanaththaanaakiya seraakutaiya kumaaranaakiya yopaap avan pattaththirku vanthaan And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

34 Yopaap mariththapin, thaemaaniya thaesaththaanaakiya ushaam avan pattaththirku vanthaan. And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.

35 Ushaam mariththapin, movaapin naattilae meethiyaaniyarai muriya atiththa paethaathin kumaaranaakiya aathaath avan pattaththirku vanthaan; avanutaiya pattanaththukku aaveeth entu paer. And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

36 Aathaath mariththapin, masraekkaa ooraanaakiya samlaa avanutaiya pattaththirku vanthaan. And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
