Matthew 13 in Tamil

1 இயேசு அன்றையத்தினமே வீட்டிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கடலோரத்திலே உட்கார்ந்தார். The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

2 திரளான ஜனங்கள் அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவந்தபடியால், அவர் படவில் ஏறி உட்கார்ந்தார்; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் கரையிலே நின்றார்கள். And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

3 அவர் அநேக விஷேசங்களை உவமைகளாக அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்; கேளுங்கள், விதைக்கிறவன் ஒருவன் விதைக்கப்புறப்பட்டான். And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

4 அவன் விதைக்கையில், சில விதை வழியருகே விழுந்தது; பறவைகள் வந்து அதைப் பட்சித்துப்போட்டது. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

5 சில விதை அதிக மண்ணில்லாத கற்பாறை இடங்களில் விழுந்தது; மண் ஆழமாயிராததினாலே அது சீக்கிரமாய் முளைத்தது. Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

6 வெயில் ஏறினபோதோ, தீய்ந்துபோய், வேரில்லாமையால் உலர்ந்து போயிற்று. And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7 சில விதை முள்ளுள்ள இடங்களில் விழுந்தது; முள் வளர்ந்து அதை நெருக்கிப்போட்டது. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

8 சில விதையோ நல்ல நிலத்தில் விழுந்து, சிலது நூறாகவும், சிலது அறுபதாகவும், சிலது முப்பதாகவும் பலன் தந்தது. But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

9 கேட்கிறதற்கு காதுள்ளவன் கேட்கக்கடவன் என்றார். Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 அப்பொழுது, சீஷர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: ஏன் அவர்களோடே உவமைகளாகப் பேசுகிறீர் என்று கேட்டார்கள். And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: பரலோகராஜ்யத்தின் ரகசியங்களை அறியும்படி உங்களுக்கு அருளப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அவர்களுக்கோ அருளப்படவில்லை. He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 உள்ளவன் எவனோ அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும், பரிபூரணமும் அடைவான்; இல்லாதவன் எவனோ அவனிடத்திலிருந்து உள்ளதும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 அவர்கள் கண்டும் காணாதவர்களாயும், கேட்டும் கேளாதவர்களாயும், உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களாயும் இருக்கிறபடியினால், நான் உவமைகளாக அவர்களோடே பேசுகிறேன். Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 ஏசாயாவின் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் அவர்களிடத்தில் நிறைவேறுகிறது; அதாவது: காதாரக்கேட்டும் உணராதிருப்பீர்கள்; கண்ணாரக்கண்டும் அறியாதிருப்பீர்கள். And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 இந்த ஜனங்கள் கண்களினால் காணாமலும், காதுகளினால் கேளாமலும், இருதயத்தினால் உணர்ந்து மனந்திரும்பாமலும், நான் அவர்களை ஆரோக்கியமாக்காமலும் இருக்கும்படியாக, அவர்கள் இருதயம் கொழுத்திருக்கிறது; காதால் மந்தமாய்க் கேட்டு, தங்கள் கண்களை மூடிக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பதே. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 உங்கள் கண்கள் காண்கிறதினாலும், உங்கள் காதுகள் கேட்கிறதினாலும், அவைகள் பாக்கியமுள்ளவைகள். But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 அநேக தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் நீதிமான்களும் நீங்கள் காண்கிறவைகளைக் காணவும், நீங்கள் கேட்கிறவைகளைக் கேட்கவும் விரும்பியும், காணாமலும் கேளாமலும் போனார்களென்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18 ஆகையால் விதைக்கிறவனைப்பற்றிய உவமையைக் கேளுங்கள். Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 ஒருவன், ராஜ்யத்தின் வசனத்தைக் கேட்டும் உணராதிருக்கும்போது, பொல்லாங்கன் வந்து, அவன் இருதயத்தில் விதைக்கப்பட்டதைப் பறித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; அவனே வழியருகே விதைக்கப்பட்டவன். When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 கற்பாறை இடங்களில் விதைக்கப்பட்டவன், வசனத்தைக்கேட்டு, உடனே அதைச் சந்தோஷத்தோடே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன்; But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 ஆகிலும் தனக்குள்ளே வேரில்லாதவனாய், கொஞ்சக்காலமாத்திரம் நிலைத்திருப்பான்; வசனத்தினிமித்தம் உபத்திரவமும் துன்பமும் உண்டானவுடனே இடறலடைவான். Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 முள்ளுள்ள இடங்களில் விதைக்கப்பட்டவன், வசனத்தைக் கேட்கிறவனாயிருந்தும், உலகக்கவலையும் ஐசுவரியத்தின் மயக்கமும் வசனத்தை நெருக்கிப் போடுகிறதினால், அவனும் பலனற்றுப்போவான். He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 நல்ல நிலத்தில் விதைக்கப்பட்டவனோ, வசனத்தைக் கேட்கிறவனும் உணருகிறவனுமாயிருந்து, நூறாகவும் அறுபதாகவும், முப்பதாகவும் பலன் தருவான் என்றார். But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

24 வேறொரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: பரலோகராஜ்யம் நல்ல நிலத்தில் விதைக்கப்பட்ட நல்ல விதையை விதைத்த மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 மனுஷர் நித்திரை பண்ணுகையில் அவனுடைய சத்துரு வந்து, கோதுமைக்குள் களைகளை விதைத்துவிட்டுப் போனான். But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 பயிரானது வளர்ந்து கதிர் விட்டபோது, களைகளும் காணப்பட்டது. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 வீட்டெஜமானுடைய வேலைக்காரர் அவனிடத்தில் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே, நீர் உமது நிலத்தில் நல்ல விதையை விதைத்தீர் அல்லவா? பின்னை அதில் களைகள் எப்படி உண்டானது என்றார்கள். So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 அதற்கு அவன்: சத்துரு அதைச் செய்தான் என்றான். அப்பொழுது வேலைக்காரர்: நாங்கள் போய் அவைகளைப் பிடுங்கிப்போட உமக்குச் சித்தமா? என்று கேட்டார்கள். He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 அதற்கு அவன் வேண்டாம், களைகளைப் பிடுங்கும்போது நீங்கள் கோதுமையையுங்கூட வேரோடே பிடுங்காதபடிக்கு இரண்டையும் அறுப்பு மட்டும் வளரவிடுங்கள். But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 அறுப்புக்காலத்தில் நான் அறுக்கிறவர்களை நோக்கி: முதலாவது களைகளைப்பிடுங்கி, அவைகளைச் சுட்டெரிக்கிறதற்கு கட்டுகளாகக் கட்டுங்கள்; கோதுமையையோ என் களஞ்சியத்தில் சேர்த்துவையுங்கள் என்பேன் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார். Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

31 வேறொரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: பரலோகராஜ்யம் கடுகு விதைக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு மனுஷன் எடுத்துத் தன் நிலத்தில் விதைத்தான். Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32 அது சகல விதைகளிலும் சிறிதாயிருந்தும், வளரும்போது, சகல பூண்டுகளிலும் பெரிதாகி, ஆகாயத்துப்பறவைகள் அதின் கிளைகளில் வந்து அடையத்தக்க மரமாகுமென்றார். Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33 வேறொரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: பரலோகராஜ்யம் புளித்த மாவுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு ஸ்திரீ எடுத்து, முழுவதும் புளிக்கும் வரைக்கும், மூன்றுபடி மாவிலே அடக்கிவைத்தாள் என்றார். Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

34 இவைகளையெல்லாம் இயேசு ஜனங்களோடே உவமைகளாகப் பேசினார். உவமைகளினாலேயன்றி, அவர்களோடே பேசவில்லை. All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

35 என் வாயை உவமைகளால் திறப்பேன், உலகத்தோற்றமுதல் மறைபொருளானவைகளை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன் என்று தீர்க்கதரிசியால் உரைக்கப்பட்டது நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படி நடந்தது. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

36 அப்பொழுது இயேசு ஜனங்களை அனுப்பிவிட்டு வீட்டுக்குப்போனார். அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, நிலத்தின் களைகளைப்பற்றிய உவமையை எங்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தவேண்டுமென்று கேட்டார்கள். Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக நல்ல விதையை விதைக்கிறவன் மனுஷகுமாரன். He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 நிலம் உலகம்; நல்ல விதை ராஜ்யத்தின் புத்திரர்; களைகள் பொல்லாங்கனுடைய புத்திரர்; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 அவைகளை விதைக்கிற சத்துரு பிசாசு; அறுப்பு உலகத்தின் முடிவு; அறுக்கிறவர்கள் தேவதூதர்கள். The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 ஆதலால், களைகளைச் சேர்த்து அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிக்கிறதுபோல, இவ்வுலகத்தின் முடிவிலே நடக்கும். As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 மனுஷகுமாரன் தம்முடைய தூதர்களை அனுப்புவார்; அவர்கள் அவருடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் இருக்கிற சகல இடறல்களையும் அக்கிரமஞ் செய்கிறவர்களையும் சேர்த்து, The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 அவர்களை அக்கினிச் சூளையிலே போடுவார்கள்; அங்கே அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் உண்டாயிருக்கும். And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 அப்பொழுது நீதிமான்கள் தங்கள் பிதாவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே சூரியனைப்போலப் பிரகாசிப்பார்கள். கேட்கிறதற்கு காதுள்ளவன் கேட்கக்கடவன். Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44 அன்றியும், பரலோகராஜ்யம் நிலத்தில் புதைத்திருக்கிற பொக்கிஷத்துக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு மனுஷன் கண்டு, மறைத்து, அதைப் பற்றிய சந்தோஷத்தினாலே போய், தனக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று, அந்த நிலத்தைக் கொள்ளுகிறான். Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 மேலும், பரலோகராஜ்யம் நல்ல முத்துக்களைத் தேடுகிற வியாபாரிக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 அவன் விலையுயர்ந்த ஒரு முத்தைக் கண்டு, போய், தனக்குண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று, அதைக் கொள்ளுகிறான். Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 அன்றியும், பரலோகராஜ்யம் கடலிலே போடப்பட்டு, சகல விதமான மீன்களையும் சேர்த்து வாரிக்கொள்ளும் வலைக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 அது நிறைந்தபோது, அதைக் கரையில் இழுத்து உட்கார்ந்து, நல்லவைகளைக் கூடைகளில் சேர்த்து, ஆகாதவைகளை எறிந்துபோடுவார்கள். Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 இப்படியே உலகத்தின் முடிவிலே நடக்கும். தேவதூதர்கள் புறப்பட்டு, நீதிமான்களின் நடுவிலிருந்து பொல்லாதவர்களைப் பிரித்து, So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 அவர்களை அக்கினிச் சூளையிலே போடுவார்கள்; அங்கே அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் உண்டாயிருக்கும் என்றார். And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 பின்பு, இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: இவைகளையெல்லாம் அறிந்துகொண்டீர்களா என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஆம், அறிந்துகொண்டோம், ஆண்டவரே, என்றார்கள். Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

52 அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: இப்படியிருக்கிறபடியால், பரலோகராஜ்யத்துக்கடுத்தவைகளில் உபதேசிக்கப்பட்டுத் தேறின வேதபாரகன் எவனும் தன் பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து புதியவைகளையும் பழையவைகளையும் எடுத்துக்கொடுக்கிற வீட்டெஜமானாகிய மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறான் என்றார். Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

53 இயேசு இந்த உவமைகளைச் சொல்லி முடித்தபின்பு, அவ்விடம் விட்டு, And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

54 தாம் வளர்ந்த ஊரிலே வந்து, அவர்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயத்திலே உபதேசம்பண்ணினார். அவர்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இவனுக்கு இந்த ஞானமும் பலத்த செய்கைகளும் எப்படி வந்தது? And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 இவன் தச்சனுடைய குமாரன் அல்லவா? இவன் தாய் மரியாள் என்பவள் அல்லவா? யாக்கோபு யோசே சீமோன் யூதா என்பவர்கள் இவனுக்குச் சகோதரர் அல்லவா? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 இவன் சகோதரிகள் எல்லாரும் நம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? இப்படியிருக்க, இதெல்லாம் இவனுக்கு எப்படி வந்தது? என்று சொல்லி, And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 அவரைக் குறித்து இடறலடைந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவன் தன் ஊரிலும் தன் வீட்டிலுமேயன்றி வேறெங்கும் கனவீனமடையான் என்றார். And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 அவர்களுடைய அவிசுவாசத்தினிமித்தம் அவர் அங்கே அநேக அற்புதங்களைச் செய்யவில்லை. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

1 Yesu antaiyaththinamae veettilirunthu purappattuppoy, kadaloraththilae utkaarnthaar. The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

2 Thiralaana janangal avaridaththil kootivanthapatiyaal, avar padavil aeri utkaarnthaar; janangalellaarum karaiyilae nintarkal. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

3 Avar anaeka vishaesangalai uvamaikalaaka avarkalukkuch sonnaar; kaelungal, vithaikkiravan oruvan vithaikkappurappattan. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

4 Avan vithaikkaiyil, sila vithai valiyarukae vilunthathu; paravaikal vanthu athaip patchiththuppottathu. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

5 Sila vithai athika mannnnillaatha karpaarai idangalil vilunthathu; mann aalamaayiraathathinaalae athu seekkiramaay mulaiththathu. Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

6 Veyil aerinapotho, theeynthupoy, vaerillaamaiyaal ularnthu poyittaு. And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7 Sila vithai mullulla idangalil vilunthathu; mul valarnthu athai nerukkippottathu. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

8 Sila vithaiyo nalla nilaththil vilunthu, silathu nooraakavum, silathu araுpathaakavum, silathu muppathaakavum palan thanthathu. But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

9 Kaetkiratharku kaathullavan kaetkakkadavan entar. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 Appoluthu, seesharkal avaridaththil vanthu: aen avarkalotae uvamaikalaakap paesukireer entu kaettarkal. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 Avarkalukku avar pirathiyuththaramaaka: paralokaraajyaththin rakasiyangalai ariyumpati ungalukku arulappattirukkirathu. Avarkalukko arulappadavillai. He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 Ullavan evano avanukkuk kodukkappadum, paripooranamum ataivaan; illaathavan evano avanidaththilirunthu ullathum eduththukkollappadum For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 Avarkal kanndum kaannaathavarkalaayum, kaettum kaelaathavarkalaayum, unarnthukollaathavarkalaayum irukkirapatiyinaal, naan uvamaikalaaka avarkalotae paesukiraேn. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 Aesaayaavin theerkkatharisanam avarkalidaththil niraivaeraுkirathu; athaavathu: kaathaarakkaettum unaraathiruppeerkal; kannnnaarakkanndum ariyaathiruppeerkal. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 Intha janangal kannkalinaal kaannaamalum, kaathukalinaal kaelaamalum, iruthayaththinaal unarnthu mananthirumpaamalum, naan avarkalai aarokkiyamaakkaamalum irukkumpatiyaaka, avarkal iruthayam koluththirukkirathu; kaathaal manthamaayk kaettu, thangal kannkalai mootikkonndaarkal enpathae. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 Ungal kannkal kaannkirathinaalum, ungal kaathukal kaetkirathinaalum, avaikal paakkiyamullavaikal. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 Anaeka theerkkatharisikalum neethimaankalum neengal kaannkiravaikalaik kaanavum, neengal kaetkiravaikalaik kaetkavum virumpiyum, kaannaamalum kaelaamalum ponaarkalentu, meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18 Aakaiyaal vithaikkiravanaippattiya uvamaiyaik kaelungal. Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 Oruvan, raajyaththin vasanaththaik kaettum unaraathirukkumpothu, pollaangan vanthu, avan iruthayaththil vithaikkappattathaip pariththukkollukiraan; avanae valiyarukae vithaikkappattavan. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 Karpaarai idangalil vithaikkappattavan, vasanaththaikkaettu, udanae athaich santhoshaththotae aettaுkkollukiravan; But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Aakilum thanakkullae vaerillaathavanaay, konjakkaalamaaththiram nilaiththiruppaan; vasanaththinimiththam upaththiravamum thunpamum unndaanavudanae idaralataivaan. Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 Mullulla idangalil vithaikkappattavan, vasanaththaik kaetkiravanaayirunthum, ulakakkavalaiyum aisuvariyaththin mayakkamum vasanaththai nerukkip podukirathinaal, avanum palanattaுppovaan. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 Nalla nilaththil vithaikkappattavano, vasanaththaik kaetkiravanum unarukiravanumaayirunthu, nooraakavum araுpathaakavum, muppathaakavum palan tharuvaan entar. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

24 Vaeroru uvamaiyai avarkalukkuch sonnaar: paralokaraajyam nalla nilaththil vithaikkappatta nalla vithaiyai vithaiththa manushanukku oppaayirukkirathu. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 Manushar niththirai pannnukaiyil avanutaiya saththuru vanthu, kothumaikkul kalaikalai vithaiththuvittup ponaan. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 Payiraanathu valarnthu kathir vittapothu, kalaikalum kaanappattathu. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 Veettejamaanutaiya vaelaikkaarar avanidaththil vanthu: aanndavanae, neer umathu nilaththil nalla vithaiyai vithaiththeer allavaa? Pinnai athil kalaikal eppati unndaanathu entarkal. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 Atharku avan: saththuru athaich seythaan entan. Appoluthu vaelaikkaarar: naangal poy avaikalaip pidungippoda umakkuch siththamaa? Entu kaettarkal. He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 Atharku avan vaenndaam, kalaikalaip pidungumpothu neengal kothumaiyaiyungaூda vaerotae pidungaathapatikku iranntaiyum araுppu mattum valaravidungal. But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Araுppukkaalaththil naan araுkkiravarkalai Nnokki: muthalaavathu kalaikalaippidungi, avaikalaich sutterikkiratharku kattukalaakak kattungal; kothumaiyaiyo en kalanjiyaththil serththuvaiyungal enpaen entu sonnaan entar. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

31 Vaeroru uvamaiyai avarkalukkuch sonnaar: paralokaraajyam kaduku vithaikku oppaayirukkirathu; athai oru manushan eduththuth than nilaththil vithaiththaan. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32 Athu sakala vithaikalilum sirithaayirunthum, valarumpothu, sakala poonndukalilum perithaaki, aakaayaththupparavaikal athin kilaikalil vanthu ataiyaththakka maramaakumentar. Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33 Vaeroru uvamaiyai avarkalukkuch sonnaar: paralokaraajyam puliththa maavukku oppaayirukkirathu; athai oru sthiree eduththu, muluvathum pulikkum varaikkum, moontupati maavilae adakkivaiththaal entar. Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

34 Ivaikalaiyellaam Yesu janangalotae uvamaikalaakap paesinaar. Uvamaikalinaalaeyanti, avarkalotae paesavillai. All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

35 En vaayai uvamaikalaal thirappaen, ulakaththottamuthal maraiporulaanavaikalai velippaduththuvaen entu theerkkatharisiyaal uraikkappattathu niraivaeraுmpati ippati nadanthathu. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

36 Appoluthu Yesu janangalai anuppivittu veettukkupponaar. Avarutaiya seesharkal avaridaththil vanthu, nilaththin kalaikalaippattiya uvamaiyai engalukku velippaduththavaenndumentu kaettarkal. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 Avar pirathiyuththaramaaka nalla vithaiyai vithaikkiravan manushakumaaran. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 Nilam ulakam; nalla vithai raajyaththin puththirar; kalaikal pollaanganutaiya puththirar; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 Avaikalai vithaikkira saththuru pisaasu; araுppu ulakaththin mutivu; araுkkiravarkal thaevathootharkal. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 Aathalaal, kalaikalaich serththu akkiniyaal sutterikkirathupola, ivvulakaththin mutivilae nadakkum. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 Manushakumaaran thammutaiya thootharkalai anuppuvaar; avarkal avarutaiya raajyaththil irukkira sakala idaralkalaiyum akkiramanj seykiravarkalaiyum serththu, The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 Avarkalai akkinich soolaiyilae poduvaarkal; angae alukaiyum parkatippum unndaayirukkum. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Appoluthu neethimaankal thangal pithaavin raajyaththilae sooriyanaippolap pirakaasippaarkal. Kaetkiratharku kaathullavan kaetkakkadavan. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44 Antiyum, paralokaraajyam nilaththil puthaiththirukkira pokkishaththukku oppaayirukkirathu; athai oru manushan kanndu, maraiththu, athaip pattiya santhoshaththinaalae poy, thanakku unndaana ellaavattaைyum vittaு, antha nilaththaik kollukiraan. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Maelum, paralokaraajyam nalla muththukkalaith thaedukira viyaapaarikku oppaayirukkirathu. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Avan vilaiyuyarntha oru muththaik kanndu, poy, thanakkunndaana ellaavattaைyum vittaு, athaik kollukiraan. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 Antiyum, paralokaraajyam kadalilae podappattu, sakala vithamaana meenkalaiyum serththu vaarikkollum valaikku oppaayirukkirathu. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 Athu nirainthapothu, athaik karaiyil iluththu utkaarnthu, nallavaikalaik kootaikalil serththu, aakaathavaikalai erinthupoduvaarkal. Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 Ippatiyae ulakaththin mutivilae nadakkum. Thaevathootharkal purappattu, neethimaankalin naduvilirunthu pollaathavarkalaip piriththu, So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 Avarkalai akkinich soolaiyilae poduvaarkal; angae alukaiyum parkatippum unndaayirukkum entar. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 Pinpu, Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: ivaikalaiyellaam arinthukonnteerkalaa entu kaettar. Atharku avarkal: aam, arinthukonntoom, aanndavarae, entarkal. Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

52 Appoluthu avar avarkalai Nnokki: ippatiyirukkirapatiyaal, paralokaraajyaththukkaduththavaikalil upathaesikkappattuth thaerina vaethapaarakan evanum than pokkishaththilirunthu puthiyavaikalaiyum palaiyavaikalaiyum eduththukkodukkira veettejamaanaakiya manushanukku oppaayirukkiraan entar. Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

53 Yesu intha uvamaikalaich solli mutiththapinpu, avvidam vittu, And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

54 Thaam valarntha oorilae vanthu, avarkalutaiya jepa aalayaththilae upathaesampannnninaar. Avarkal aachchariyappattu: ivanukku intha njaanamum palaththa seykaikalum eppati vanthathu? And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Ivan thachchanutaiya kumaaran allavaa? Ivan thaay mariyaal enpaval allavaa? Yaakkopu yose seemon yoothaa enpavarkal ivanukkuch sakotharar allavaa? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 Ivan sakotharikal ellaarum nammidaththil irukkiraarkal allavaa? Ippatiyirukka, ithellaam ivanukku eppati vanthathu? Entu solli, And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 Avaraik kuriththu idaralatainthaarkal. Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: theerkkatharisi oruvan than oorilum than veettilumaeyanti vaeraெngum kanaveenamataiyaan entar. And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 Avarkalutaiya avisuvaasaththinimiththam avar angae anaeka arputhangalaich seyyavillai. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
