அப்பொழுது ராஜா, தூண் அருகே நின்று, கர்த்தரைப் பின்பற்றி நடக்கவும், அவருடைய கற்பனைகளையும் அவருடைய சாட்சிகளையும் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் கைக்கொள்ளவும், அந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற அந்த உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளை நிறைவேற்றவும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணினான்; ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் உடன்படிக்கைக்கு உட்பட்டார்கள்.

அரசன் (மேடை மேல்) தூண் அருகே நின்றுக் கொண்டு கர்த்தரோடு ஒரு உடன்படிக்கைச் செய்துக்கொண்டான். கர்த்தரைப் பின்பற்றவும், அவரது கட்டளைகளுக்கும் உடன்படிக்கைக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியவும் ஒப்புக்கொண்டான். அவன் அதனை முழு மனதோடும் ஆத்துமாவோடும் செய்வதாக ஒப்புக் கொண்டான். இப்புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்ட உடன்படிக்கைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியவும் ஒப்புக்கொண்டான். சுற்றி நின்ற ஜனங்களும் உடன்படிக்கைக்கு ஒப்புக் கொள்வதாக உறுதி கூறினார்கள்.
