1 பொல்லாதவர்களைக் குறித்து எரிச்சலடையாதே; நியாயக்கேடுசெய்கிறவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமைகொள்ளாதே. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 அவர்கள் புல்லைப்போல் சீக்கிரமாய் அறுப்புண்டு, பசும்பூண்டைப்போல் வாடிப்போவார்கள். For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 கர்த்தரை நம்பி நன்மைசெய்; தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்து சத்தியத்தை மேய்ந்துகொள். Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிரு; அவர் உன் இருதயத்தின் வேண்டுதல்களை உனக்கு அருள்செய்வார். Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 உன் வழியைக் கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புவித்து, அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிரு; அவரே காரியத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணுவார். Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 உன் நீதியை வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும், உன் நியாயத்தைப் பட்டப்பகலைப்போலவும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுவார். And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 கர்த்தரை நோக்கி அமர்ந்து, அவருக்குக் காத்திரு; காரியசித்தியுள்ளவன்மேலும் தீவினைகளைச் செய்கிற மனுஷன்மேலும் எரிச்சலாகாதே. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 கோபத்தை நெகிழ்ந்து, உக்கிரத்தை விட்டுவிடு, பொல்லாப்புச்செய்ய ஏதுவான எரிச்சல் உனக்கு வேண்டாம். Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 பொல்லாதவர்கள் அறுப்புண்டுபோவார்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களோ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வார்கள். For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 இன்னுங் கொஞ்சநேரந்தான், அப்போது துன்மார்க்கன் இரான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தை உற்று விசாரித்தாயானால் அவன் இல்லை. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்து மிகுந்த சமாதானத்தினால் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பார்கள். But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமானுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தீங்கு நினைத்து, அவன்பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறான். The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 ஆண்டவர் அவனைப்பார்த்து நகைக்கிறார்; அவனுடைய நாள் வருகிறதென்று காண்கிறார். The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனை மடிவிக்கவும், செம்மை மார்க்கத்தாரை விழப்பண்ணவும், துன்மார்க்கர் பட்டயத்தை உருவி, தங்கள் வில்லை நாணேற்றுகிறார்கள். The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் பட்டயம் அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்திற்குள் உருவிப்போம்; அவர்கள் வில்லுகள் முறியும். Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 அநேக துன்மார்க்கருக்குள்ள செல்வத்திரட்சியைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீதிமானுக்குள்ள கொஞ்சமே நல்லது. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 துன்மார்க்கருடைய புயங்கள் முறியும்; நீதிமான்களையோ கர்த்தர் தாங்குகிறார். For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 உத்தமர்களின் நாட்களைக் கர்த்தர் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; அவர்கள் சுதந்தரம் என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும். The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 அவர்கள் ஆபத்துக்காலத்திலே வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகாதிருந்து, பஞ்சகாலத்திலே திருப்தியடைவார்கள். They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 துன்மார்க்கரோ அழிந்துபோவார்கள், கர்த்தருடைய சத்துருக்கள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளின் நிணத்தைப்போல் புகைந்துபோவார்கள், அவர்கள் புகையாய்ப் புகைந்துபோவார்கள். But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 துன்மார்க்கன் கடன்வாங்கிச் செலுத்தாமற்போகிறான்; நீதிமானோ இரங்கிக்கொடுக்கிறான். The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 அவரால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்; அவரால் சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்களோ அறுப்புண்டுபோவார்கள். For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 நல்ல மனுஷனுடைய நடைகள் கர்த்தரால் உறுதிப்படும், அவனுடைய வழியின்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார். The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 அவன் விழுந்தாலும் தள்ளுண்டுபோவதில்லை; கர்த்தர் தமது கையினால் அவனைத் தாங்குகிறார். Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25 நான் இளைஞனாயிருந்தேன், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனுமானேன், ஆனாலும் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்துக்கு இரந்துதிரிகிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 அவன் நித்தம் இரங்கிக் கடன்கொடுக்கிறான், அவன் சந்ததி ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும். He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மைசெய்; என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பாய். Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 கர்த்தர் நியாயத்தை விரும்புகிறவர், அவர் தமது பரிசுத்தவான்களைக் கைவிடுவதில்லை; அவர்கள் என்றைக்கும் காக்கப்படுவார்கள்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய சந்ததியோ அறுப்புண்டுபோம். For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 நீதிமான்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, என்றைக்கும் அதிலே வாசமாயிருப்பார்கள். The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 நீதிமானுடைய வாய் ஞானத்தை உரைத்து, அவனுடைய நாவு நியாயத்தைப் பேசும். The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 அவனுடைய தேவன் அருளிய வேதம் அவன் இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறது; அவன் நடைகளில் ஒன்றும் பிசகுவதில்லை. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 துன்மார்க்கன் நீதிமான்மேல் கண்வைத்து, அவனைக் கொல்ல வகைதேடுகிறான். The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 கர்த்தரோ அவனை இவன் கையில் விடுவதில்லை; அவன் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படுகையில், அவனை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்ப்பதுமில்லை. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 நீ கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருந்து, அவருடைய வழியைக் கைக்கொள்; அப்பொழுது நீ பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வதற்கு அவர் உன்னை உயர்த்துவார்; துன்மார்க்கர் அறுப்புண்டுபோவதை நீ காண்பாய். Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 கொடிய பலவந்தனான ஒரு துன்மார்க்கனைக் கண்டேன், அவன் தனக்கேற்ற நிலத்தில் முளைத்திருக்கிற பச்சைமரத்தைப்போல் தழைத்தவனாயிருந்தான். I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 ஆனாலும் அவன் ஒழிந்துபோனான்: பாருங்கள், அவன் இல்லை; அவனைத் தேடினேன், அவன் காணப்படவில்லை. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 நீ உத்தமனை நோக்கி, செம்மையானவனைப் பார்த்திரு; அந்த மனுஷனுடைய முடிவு சமாதானம். Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஏகமாய் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அறுப்புண்டுபோவதே துன்மார்க்கரின் முடிவு. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 நீதிமான்களுடைய இரட்சிப்பு கர்த்தரால் வரும்; இக்கட்டுக்காலத்தில் அவரே அவர்கள் அடைக்கலம். But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

1 Pollaathavarkalaik kuriththu erichchalataiyaathae; niyaayakkaeduseykiravarkalmael poraamaikollaathae. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 Avarkal pullaippol seekkiramaay araுppunndu, pasumpoonntaippol vaatippovaarkal. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Karththarai nampi nanmaisey; thaesaththil kutiyirunthu saththiyaththai maeynthukol. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Karththaridaththil manamakilchchiyaayiru; avar un iruthayaththin vaennduthalkalai unakku arulseyvaar. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Un valiyaik karththarukku oppuviththu, avarmael nampikkaiyaayiru; avarae kaariyaththai vaaykkappannnuvaar. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 Un neethiyai velichchaththaippolavum, un niyaayaththaip pattappakalaippolavum vilangappannnuvaar. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Karththarai Nnokki amarnthu, avarukkuk kaaththiru; kaariyasiththiyullavanmaelum theevinaikalaich seykira manushanmaelum erichchalaakaathae. 8 Kopaththai nekilnthu, ukkiraththai vittuvidu, pollaappuchcheyya aethuvaana erichchal unakku vaenndaam. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 Pollaathavarkal araுppunndupovaarkal; karththarukkuk kaaththirukkiravarkalo poomiyaich suthanthariththukkolvaarkal. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 Innung konjanaeranthaan, appothu thunmaarkkan iraan; avan sthaanaththai uttaு visaariththaayaanaal avan illai. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 Saanthakunamullavarkal poomiyaich suthanthariththu mikuntha samaathaanaththinaal manamakilchchiyaayiruppaarkal. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 Thunmaarkkan neethimaanukku virothamaayth theengu ninaiththu, avanpaeril parkatikkiraan. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 Aanndavar avanaippaarththu nakaikkiraar; avanutaiya naal varukirathentu kaannkiraar. The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 Siraுmaiyum elimaiyumaanavanai mativikkavum, semmai maarkkaththaarai vilappannnavum, thunmaarkkar pattayaththai uruvi, thangal villai naanneettaுkiraarkal. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Aanaalum avarkal pattayam avarkalutaiya iruthayaththirkul uruvippom; avarkal villukal muriyum. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 Anaeka thunmaarkkarukkulla selvaththiratchiyaippaarkkilum, neethimaanukkulla konjamae nallathu. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 Thunmaarkkarutaiya puyangal muriyum; neethimaankalaiyo Karththar thaangukiraar. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 Uththamarkalin naatkalaik Karththar arinthirukkiraar; avarkal suthantharam ententaikkum irukkum. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 Avarkal aapaththukkaalaththilae vetkappattuppokaathirunthu, panjakaalaththilae thirupthiyataivaarkal. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

21 Thunmaarkkan kadanvaangich seluththaamarpokiraan; neethimaano irangikkodukkiraan. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 Avaraal aaseervathikkappattavarkal poomiyaich suthanthariththukkolluvaarkal; avaraal sapikkappattavarkalo araுppunndupovaarkal. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 Nalla manushanutaiya nataikal karththaraal uraுthippadum, avanutaiya valiyinmael avar piriyamaayirukkiraar. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Avan vilunthaalum thallunndupovathillai; Karththar thamathu kaiyinaal avanaith thaangukiraar. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25 Naan ilainjanaayirunthaen, muthirvayathullavanumaanaen, aanaalum neethimaan kaividappattathaiyum, avan santhathi appaththukku iranthuthirikirathaiyum naan kaanavillai. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 Avan niththam irangik kadankodukkiraan, avan santhathi aaseervathikkappadum. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Theemaiyai vittu vilaki, nanmaisey; ententaikkum nilaiththiruppaay. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 Karththar niyaayaththai virumpukiravar, avar thamathu Parisuththavaankalaik kaividuvathillai; avarkal entaikkum kaakkappaduvaarkal; thunmaarkkarutaiya santhathiyo araுppunndupom. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 Neethimaankal poomiyaich suthanthariththukkonndu, entaikkum athilae vaasamaayiruppaarkal. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 Neethimaanutaiya vaay njaanaththai uraiththu, avanutaiya naavu niyaayaththaip paesum. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 Avanutaiya Dhevan aruliya vaetham avan iruthayaththil irukkirathu; avan nataikalil ontum pisakuvathillai. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 Thunmaarkkan neethimaanmael kannvaiththu, avanaik kolla vakaithaedukiraan. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 Karththaro avanai ivan kaiyil viduvathillai; avan niyaayam visaarikkappadukaiyil, avanai aakkinaikkullaakath theerppathumillai. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Nee karththarukkuk kaaththirunthu, avarutaiya valiyaik kaikkol; appoluthu nee poomiyaich suthanthariththukkolvatharku avar unnai uyarththuvaar; thunmaarkkar araுppunndupovathai nee kaannpaay. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 Kotiya palavanthanaana oru thunmaarkkanaik kanntaen, avan thanakkaetta nilaththil mulaiththirukkira pachchaைmaraththaippol thalaiththavanaayirunthaan. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Aanaalum avan olinthuponaan: paarungal, avan illai; avanaith thaetinaen, avan kaanappadavillai. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Nee uththamanai Nnokki, semmaiyaanavanaip paarththiru; antha manushanutaiya mutivu samaathaanam. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 Akkiramakkaarar aekamaay alikkappaduvaarkal; araுppunndupovathae thunmaarkkarin mutivu. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 Neethimaankalutaiya iratchippu karththaraal varum; ikkattukkaalaththil avarae avarkal ataikkalam. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
