Genesis 48 in Tamil

1 அதற்குப்பின்பு, உம்முடைய தகப்பனாருக்கு வருத்தமாயிருக்கிறது என்று யோசேப்புக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் இரண்டு குமாரராகிய மனாசேயையும் எப்பீராயீமையும் தன்னோடேகூடக் கொண்டுபோனான். And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.

3 யாக்கோபு யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் கானான் தேசத்திலுள்ள லுூஸ் என்னும் இடத்தில் எனக்குத் தரிசனமாகி, என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து: And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

4 நான் உன்னைப் பலுகவும் பெருகவும் பண்ணி, உன்னைப் பல ஜனக்கூட்டமாக்கி, உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கு இந்தத் தேசத்தை நித்திய சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று என்னோடே சொன்னார். And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.

5 நான் உன்னிடத்தில் எகிப்துக்கு வருமுன்னே உனக்கு எகிப்துதேசத்தில் பிறந்த உன் இரண்டு குமாரரும் என்னுடைய குமாரர்; ரூபன் சிமியோன் என்பவர்களைப்போல, எப்பீராயீமும் மனாசேயும் என்னுடையவர்கள். And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

6 இவர்களுக்குப்பின், நீ பெறும் பிள்ளைகள் உன்னுடையவர்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரருடைய பேரால் அழைக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களுக்குரிய சுதந்தரத்தில் பங்குபெறுவார்கள். And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.

8 இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பின் குமாரரைப் பார்த்து: இவர்கள் யார் என்று கேட்டான். And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?

9 யோசேப்பு தன் தகப்பனை நோக்கி: இவர்கள் இவ்விடத்தில் தேவன் அருளின குமாரர் என்றான். அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்படி அவர்களை என் கிட்டக்கொண்டுவா என்றான். And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

10 முதிர்வயதினால் இஸ்ரவேலின் கண்கள் மங்கலாயிருந்தபடியால், அவன் நன்றாய்ப் பார்க்கக் கூடாதிருந்தது. அவர்களை அவனண்டையிலே சேரப்பண்ணினான்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அவர்களை முத்தஞ்செய்து அணைத்துக்கொண்டான். Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.

11 இஸ்ரவேல் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: உன் முகத்தைக் காண்பேன் என்று நான் நினைக்கவில்லை; ஆனாலும் இதோ, உன் சந்ததியையும் காணும்படி தேவன் எனக்கு அருள் செய்தார் என்றான். And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath showed me also thy seed.

12 அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய முழங்கால்கள் நடுவே இருந்த பிள்ளைகளை யோசேப்பு பின்னிடப்பண்ணி, அவனுடைய முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகத் தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து வணங்கினான். And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.

13 பின்பு, யோசேப்பு அவ்விருவரையும் கொண்டுவந்து, எப்பிராயீமைத் தன் வலது கையினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் இடது கைக்கு நேராகவும், மனாசேயைத் தன் இடதுகையினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் வலதுகைக்கு நேராகவும் விட்டான். And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.

14 அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல், மனமறிய, தன் வலதுகையை நீட்டி, இளையவனாகிய எப்பிராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேலும், மனாசே மூத்தவனாயிருந்தும், தன் இடதுகையை மனாசேயுடைய தலையின்மேலும் வைத்தான். And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

15 அவன் யோசேப்பை ஆசீர்வதித்து: என் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாமும் ஈசாக்கும் வழிபட்டு வணங்கிய தேவனும், நான் பிறந்த நாள்முதல் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் என்னை ஆதரித்துவந்த தேவனும், And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

16 எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கி என்னை மீட்ட தூதனுமானவர் இந்தப் பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக, என்பேரும் என் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு என்பவர்களின் பேரும் இவர்களுக்கு இடப்படக்கடவது; பூமியில் இவர்கள் மிகுதியாய்ப் பெருகக்கடவர்கள் என்றான். The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

17 தகப்பன் தன் வலதுகையை எப்பிராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைத்ததை யோசேப்பு கண்டு, அது தனக்குப் பிரியமில்லாதபடியால், எப்பீராயீமுடைய தலையின்மேல் இருந்த தன் தகப்பனுடைய கையை மனாசேயினுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைக்கும்படிக்கு எடுத்து: And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.

18 என் தகப்பனே, அப்படியல்ல, இவன் மூத்தவன், இவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் உம்முடைய வலதுகையை வைக்கவேண்டும் என்றான். And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

20 இவ்விதமாக அவன் அன்றைத்தினம் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து: தேவன் உன்னை எப்பிராயீமைப்போலவும் மனாசேயைப்போலவும் ஆக்குவாராக என்று இஸ்ரவேலர் உன்னை முன்னிட்டு வாழ்த்துவார்கள் என்று சொல்லி, எப்பிராயீமை மனாசேக்கு முன்னே வைத்தான். And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

1 Atharkuppinpu, ummutaiya thakappanaarukku varuththamaayirukkirathu entu yoseppukkuch sollappattathu. Appoluthu avan than iranndu kumaararaakiya manaaseyaiyum eppeeraayeemaiyum thannotaekoodak konnduponaan. And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

2 Itho, ummutaiya kumaaranaakiya yoseppu ummidaththil vanthirukkiraar entu yaakkopukkuch arivikkappattathu; appoluthu Israel thannaith thidappaduththik konndu, kattilinmael utkaarnthaan. And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.

3 Yaakkopu yoseppai Nnokki: sarvavallamaiyulla Dhevan kaanaan thaesaththilulla luூs ennum idaththil enakkuth tharisanamaaki, ennai aaseervathiththu: And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

4 Naan unnaip palukavum perukavum pannnni, unnaip pala janakkoottamaakki, unakkup pinvarum un santhathikku inthath thaesaththai niththiya suthantharamaakak koduppaen entu ennotae sonnaar. And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.

5 Naan unnidaththil ekipthukku varumunnae unakku ekipthuthaesaththil pirantha un iranndu kumaararum ennutaiya kumaarar; roopan simiyon enpavarkalaippola, eppeeraayeemum manaaseyum ennutaiyavarkal. And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

6 Ivarkalukkuppin, nee peraுm pillaikal unnutaiyavarkal; avarkal thangal thangal sakothararutaiya paeraal alaikkappattu avarkalukkuriya suthantharaththil panguperaுvaarkal. And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.

7 Naan pathaanaivittu varukaiyil, kaanaan thaesaththil eppiraaththaavukkuk konjam thooram irukkumpothu, valiyilae raakael ennanntaiyilae maranamatainthaal; avalai angae pethlakaem ennum eppiraaththaa oorukkup pokira valiyilae adakkampannnninaen entan. And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.

8 Israel yoseppin kumaararaip paarththu: ivarkal yaar entu kaettan. And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?

9 Yoseppu than thakappanai Nnokki: ivarkal ivvidaththil Dhevan arulina kumaarar entan. Appoluthu avan: naan avarkalai aaseervathikkumpati avarkalai en kittakkonnduvaa entan. And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

10 Muthirvayathinaal isravaelin kannkal mangalaayirunthapatiyaal, avan nantayp paarkkak koodaathirunthathu. Avarkalai avananntaiyilae serappannnninaan; appoluthu avan avarkalai muththanjaெythu annaiththukkonndaan. Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.

11 Israel yoseppai Nnokki: un mukaththaik kaannpaen entu naan ninaikkavillai; aanaalum itho, un santhathiyaiyum kaanumpati Dhevan enakku arul seythaar entan. And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath showed me also thy seed.

12 Appoluthu avanutaiya mulangaalkal naduvae iruntha pillaikalai yoseppu pinnidappannnni, avanutaiya mukaththukku munpaakath tharaimattum kuninthu vananginaan. And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.

13 Pinpu, yoseppu avviruvaraiyum konnduvanthu, eppiraayeemaith than valathu kaiyinaalae isravaelin idathu kaikku naeraakavum, manaaseyaith than idathukaiyinaalae isravaelin valathukaikku naeraakavum vittan. And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.

14 Appoluthu Israel, manamariya, than valathukaiyai neetti, ilaiyavanaakiya eppiraayeemutaiya thalaiyinmaelum, manaase mooththavanaayirunthum, than idathukaiyai manaaseyutaiya thalaiyinmaelum vaiththaan. And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

15 Avan yoseppai aaseervathiththu: en pithaakkalaakiya aapirakaamum eesaakkum valipattu vanangiya thaevanum, naan pirantha naalmuthal innaalvaraikkum ennai aathariththuvantha thaevanum, And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

16 Ellaath theemaikkum neengalaakki ennai meetta thoothanumaanavar inthap pillaikalai aaseervathippaaraaka, enpaerum en pithaakkalaakiya Abraham eesaakku enpavarkalin paerum ivarkalukku idappadakkadavathu; poomiyil ivarkal mikuthiyaayp perukakkadavarkal entan. 17 Thakappan than valathukaiyai eppiraayeemutaiya thalaiyinmael vaiththathai yoseppu kanndu, athu thanakkup piriyamillaathapatiyaal, eppeeraayeemutaiya thalaiyinmael iruntha than thakappanutaiya kaiyai manaaseyinutaiya thalaiyinmael vaikkumpatikku eduththu: And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.

18 En thakappanae, appatiyalla, ivan mooththavan, ivanutaiya thalaiyinmael ummutaiya valathukaiyai vaikkavaenndum entan. And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.

19 Avan thakappano thaduththu: athu enakkuth theriyum, en makanae, enakkuth theriyum; ivanum oru janakkoottamaavaan, ivanum perukuvaan; ivanutaiya thampiyo ivanilum athikamaayp perukuvaan; avanutaiya santhathiyaar thiralaana janangalaavaarkal entan. And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

20 Ivvithamaaka avan antaiththinam avarkalai aaseervathiththu: Dhevan unnai eppiraayeemaippolavum manaaseyaippolavum aakkuvaaraaka entu isravaelar unnai munnittu vaalththuvaarkal entu solli, eppiraayeemai manaasekku munnae vaiththaan. And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

21 Pinpu, Israel yoseppai Nnokki: itho, naan maranamataiyappokiraேn; Dhevan ungalotae iruppaar; avar ungal pithaakkalin thaesaththukku ungalaith thirumpavum pokappannnuvaar entum, And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.

22 Un sakothararukkuk koduththathaippaarkkilum, naan en pattayaththaalum, en villinaalum, emoriyar kaiyilirunthu sampaathiththa oru nilaththai unakku athikamaana pangaakak koduththaen entum sonnaan. Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
