Genesis 29 in Tamil

1 யாக்கோபு பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, கீழ்த்திசையாரின் தேசத்தில் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தான். Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.

2 அங்கே வயல்வெளியிலே ஒரு கிணற்றையும், அதின் அருகே மடக்கியிருக்கிற மூன்று ஆட்டுமந்தைகளையும் கண்டான்; அந்தக் கிணற்றிலே மந்தைகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டுவார்கள்; அந்தக் கிணற்றின் வாய் ஒரு பெரிய கல்லினால் அடைக்கப் பட்டிருந்தது. And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.

3 அவ்விடத்தில் மந்தைகளெல்லாம் சேர்ந்தபின் கிணற்றின் வாயிலிருக்கும் கல்லை மேய்ப்பர் புரட்டி, ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டி, மறுபடியும் கல்லை முன்னிருந்தபடி கிணற்றின் வாயில் வைப்பார்கள். And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.

4 யாக்கோபு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தார் என்றான்; அவர்கள், நாங்கள் ஆரான் ஊரார் என்றார்கள். And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

5 அப்பொழுது அவன்: நாகோரின் குமாரனாகிய லாபானை அறிவீர்களா என்று கேட்டான்; அறிவோம் என்றார்கள். And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

6 அவன் சுகமாயிருக்கிறானா என்று விசாரித்தான்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: சுகமாயிருக்கிறான்; அவன் குமாரத்தியாகிய ராகேல், அதோ, ஆடுகளை ஓட்டிக்கொண்டு வருகிறாள் என்று சொன்னார்கள். And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.

7 அப்பொழுது அவன்: இன்னும் வெகுபொழுதிருக்கிறதே; இது மந்தைகளைச் சேர்க்கிற வேளை அல்லவே, ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர்காட்டி, இன்னும் மேயவிடலாம் என்றான். And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.

8 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: எல்லா மந்தைகளும் சேருமுன்னே அப்படிச் செய்யக் கூடாது; சேர்ந்தபின் கிணற்றின் வாயிலுள்ள கல்லைப் புரட்டுவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது ஆடுகளுக்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டுவோம் என்றார்கள். And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep.

9 அவர்களோடே அவன் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போதே, தன் தகப்பனுடைய ஆடுகளை மேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த ராகேல் அந்த ஆடுகளை ஓட்டிக்கொண்டு வந்தாள். And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them.

10 யாக்கோபு தன் தாயின் சகோதரனான லாபானுடைய குமாரத்தியாகிய ராகேலையும், தன் தாயின் சகோதரனாகிய லாபானின் ஆடுகளையும் கண்டபோது, யாக்கோபு போய், கிணற்றின் வாயிலிருந்த கல்லைப் புரட்டி, தன் தாயின் சகோதரனாகிய லாபானின் ஆடுகளுக்கு தண்ணீர் காட்டினான். And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.

11 பின்பு யாக்கோபு ராகேலை முத்தஞ்செய்து, சத்தமிட்டு அழுது, And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.

12 தான் அவள் தகப்பனுடைய மருமகனென்றும், ரெபெக்காளின் குமாரனென்றும் ராகேலுக்கு அறிவித்தான். அவள் ஓடிப்போய் தன் தகப்பனுக்கு அறிவித்தாள். And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.

13 லாபான் தன் சகோதரியின் குமாரனாகிய யாக்கோபுடைய செய்தியைக் கேட்டபோது, அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டோடி, அவனைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு முத்தஞ்செய்து, தன் வீட்டுக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோனான்; அவன் தன் காரியங்களையெல்லாம் விபரமாய் லாபானுக்குச் சொன்னான். And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.

14 அப்பொழுது லாபான்: நீ என் எலும்பும் என் மாம்சமுமானவன் என்றான். ஒரு மாதம்வரைக்கும் யாக்கோபு அவனிடத்தில் தங்கினான். And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.

15 பின்பு லாபான் யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: நீ என் மருமகனாயிருப்பதினால், சும்மா எனக்கு வேலை செய்யலாமா? சம்பளம் எவ்வளவு கேட்கிறாய், சொல் என்றான். And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?

16 லாபானுக்கு இரண்டு குமாரத்திகள் இருந்தார்கள்; மூத்தவள் பேர் லேயாள், இளையவள் பேர் ராகேல். And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

17 லேயாளுடைய கண்கள் கூச்சப் பார்வையாயிருந்தது: ராகேலோ ரூபவதியும் பார்வைக்கு அழகானவளுமாயிருந்தாள். Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favored.

18 யாக்கோபு ராகேல்பேரில் பிரியப்பட்டு: உம்முடைய இளைய குமாரத்தியாகிய ராகேலுக்காக உம்மிடத்தில் ஏழு வருஷம் வேலைசெய்கிறேன் என்றான். And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

19 அதற்கு லாபான்: நான் அவளை அந்நிய புருஷனுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதைப்பார்க்கிலும், அவளை உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிறது உத்தமம், என்னிடத்தில் தரித்திரு என்றான். And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

20 அந்தப்படியே யாக்கோபு ராகேலுக்காக ஏழு வருஷம் வேலைசெய்தான்; அவள் பேரில் இருந்த பிரியத்தினாலே அந்த வருஷங்கள் அவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சநாளாகத் தோன்றினது. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

21 பின்பு யாக்கோபு லாபானை நோக்கி: என் நாட்கள் நிறைவேறினபடியால், என் மனைவியினிடத்தில் நான் சேரும்படி அவளை எனக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்றான். And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

22 அப்பொழுது லாபான் அவ்விடத்து மனிதர் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச்செய்து விருந்துபண்ணினான். And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.

23 அன்று இரவிலே அவன் தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய லேயாளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அவனிடத்தில் விட்டான்; அவளை அவன் சேர்ந்தான். And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

24 லாபான் தன் வேலைக்காரியாகிய சில்பாளைத் தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய லேயாளுக்கு வேலைக்காரியாகக் கொடுத்தான். And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.

25 காலையிலே, இதோ, அவள் லேயாள் என்று யாக்கோபு கண்டு, லாபானை நோக்கி: ஏன் எனக்கு இப்படிச் செய்தீர்? ராகேலுக்காக அல்லவா உம்மிடத்தில் வேலைசெய்தேன்; பின்னை ஏன் எனக்கு வஞ்சகம்பண்ணினீர் என்றான். And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

26 அதற்கு லாபான்: மூத்தவள் இருக்க இளையவளைக் கொடுப்பது இவ்விடத்து வழக்கம் அல்ல. And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

27 இவளுடைய ஏழு நாளை நிறைவேற்று; அவளையும் உனக்குத் தருவேன்; அவளுக்காகவும் நீ இன்னும் ஏழு வருஷம் என்னிடத்தில் வேலைசெய் என்றான். Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

28 அந்தப்படியே யாக்கோபு, இவளுடைய ஏழுநாளை நிறைவேற்றினான். அப்பொழுது தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய ராகேலையும் அவனுக்கு மனைவியாகக் கொடுத்தான். And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

29 மேலும் லாபான் தன் வேலைக்காரியாகிய பில்காளைத் தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய ராகேலுக்கு வேலைக்காரியாகக் கொடுத்தான். And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

30 யாக்கோபு ராகேலையும் சேர்ந்தான்; லேயாளைப்பார்க்கிலும் ராகேலை அவன் அதிகமாய் நேசித்து, பின்னும் ஏழு வருஷம் அவனிடத்தில் சேவித்தான். And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

31 லேயாள் அற்பமாய் எண்ணப்பட்டாள் என்று கர்த்தர் கண்டு, அவள் கர்ப்பந்தரிக்கும்படி செய்தார்; ராகேலோ மலடியாயிருந்தாள். And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

32 லேயாள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: கர்த்தர் என் சிறுமையைப் பார்த்தருளினார்; இப்பொழுது என் புருஷன் என்னை நேசிப்பார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு ரூபன் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

33 மறுபடியும் அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: நான் அற்பமாய் எண்ணப்பட்டதைக் கர்த்தர் கேட்டருளி இவனையும் எனக்குத் தந்தார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குச் சிமியோன் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

34 பின்னும் அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: என் புருஷனுக்கு மூன்று குமாரனைப் பெற்றபடியால் அவர் இப்பொழுது என்னோடே சேர்ந்திருப்பார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு லேவி என்று பேரிட்டாள். And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

35 மறுபடியும் அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று இப்பொழுது கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு யூதா என்று பேரிட்டாள்; பிற்பாடு அவளுக்குப் பிள்ளைப்பேறு நின்றுபோயிற்று. And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.

1 Yaakkopu pirayaanampannnni, geelththisaiyaarin thaesaththil poych sernthaan. Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.

2 Angae vayalveliyilae oru kinattaைyum, athin arukae madakkiyirukkira moontu aattumanthaikalaiyum kanndaan; anthak kinattilae manthaikalukkuth thannnneer kaattuvaarkal; anthak kinattin vaay oru periya kallinaal ataikkap pattirunthathu. And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.

3 Avvidaththil manthaikalellaam sernthapin kinattin vaayilirukkum kallai maeyppar puratti, aadukalukkuth thannnneer kaatti, maraுpatiyum kallai munnirunthapati kinattin vaayil vaippaarkal. And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.

4 Yaakkopu avarkalaip paarththu: sakothararae, neengal evvidaththaar entan; avarkal, naangal aaraan ooraar entarkal. And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

5 Appoluthu avan: naakorin kumaaranaakiya laapaanai ariveerkalaa entu kaettan; arivom entarkal. And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

6 Avan sukamaayirukkiraanaa entu visaariththaan; atharku avarkal: sukamaayirukkiraan; avan kumaaraththiyaakiya raakael, atho, aadukalai ottikkonndu varukiraal entu sonnaarkal. And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.

7 Appoluthu avan: innum vekupoluthirukkirathae; ithu manthaikalaich serkkira vaelai allavae, aadukalukkuth thannnneerkaatti, innum maeyavidalaam entan. And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.

8 Atharku avarkal: ellaa manthaikalum serumunnae appatich seyyak koodaathu; sernthapin kinattin vaayilulla kallaip purattuvaarkal; appoluthu aadukalukkuth thannnneer kaattuvom entarkal. And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep.

9 Avarkalotae avan paesikkonntirukkumpothae, than thakappanutaiya aadukalai maeyththukkonntiruntha raakael antha aadukalai ottikkonndu vanthaal. And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them.

10 Yaakkopu than thaayin sakotharanaana laapaanutaiya kumaaraththiyaakiya raakaelaiyum, than thaayin sakotharanaakiya laapaanin aadukalaiyum kanndapothu, yaakkopu poy, kinattin vaayiliruntha kallaip puratti, than thaayin sakotharanaakiya laapaanin aadukalukku thannnneer kaattinaan. And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.

11 Pinpu yaakkopu raakaelai muththanjaெythu, saththamittu aluthu, And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.

12 Thaan aval thakappanutaiya marumakanentum, repekkaalin kumaaranentum raakaelukku ariviththaan. Aval otippoy than thakappanukku ariviththaal. And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.

13 Laapaan than sakothariyin kumaaranaakiya yaakkoputaiya seythiyaik kaettapothu, avanukku ethirkonntooti, avanaik kattikkonndu muththanjaெythu, than veettukku alaiththukkonnduponaan; avan than kaariyangalaiyellaam viparamaay laapaanukkuch sonnaan. And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.

14 Appoluthu laapaan: nee en elumpum en maamsamumaanavan entan. Oru maathamvaraikkum yaakkopu avanidaththil thanginaan. And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.

15 Pinpu laapaan yaakkopai Nnokki: nee en marumakanaayiruppathinaal, summaa enakku vaelai seyyalaamaa? Sampalam evvalavu kaetkiraay, sol entan. And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?

16 Laapaanukku iranndu kumaaraththikal irunthaarkal; mooththaval paer laeyaal, ilaiyaval paer raakael. And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

17 Laeyaalutaiya kannkal koochchap paarvaiyaayirunthathu: raakaelo roopavathiyum paarvaikku alakaanavalumaayirunthaal. Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favored.

18 Yaakkopu raakaelpaeril piriyappattu: ummutaiya ilaiya kumaaraththiyaakiya raakaelukkaaka ummidaththil aelu varusham vaelaiseykiraேn entan. And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

19 Atharku laapaan: naan avalai anniya purushanukkuk kodukkirathaippaarkkilum, avalai unakkuk kodukkirathu uththamam, ennidaththil thariththiru entan. And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

20 Anthappatiyae yaakkopu raakaelukkaaka aelu varusham vaelaiseythaan; aval paeril iruntha piriyaththinaalae antha varushangal avanukkuk konjanaalaakath thontinathu. And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

21 Pinpu yaakkopu laapaanai Nnokki: en naatkal niraivaerinapatiyaal, en manaiviyinidaththil naan serumpati avalai enakkuth tharavaenndum entan. And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

22 Appoluthu laapaan avvidaththu manithar ellaaraiyum kootivarachcheythu virunthupannnninaan. And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.

23 Antu iravilae avan than kumaaraththiyaakiya laeyaalai alaiththukkonndupoy, avanidaththil vittan; avalai avan sernthaan. And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

24 Laapaan than vaelaikkaariyaakiya silpaalaith than kumaaraththiyaakiya laeyaalukku vaelaikkaariyaakak koduththaan. And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.

25 Kaalaiyilae, itho, aval laeyaal entu yaakkopu kanndu, laapaanai Nnokki: aen enakku ippatich seytheer? Raakaelukkaaka allavaa ummidaththil vaelaiseythaen; pinnai aen enakku vanjakampannnnineer entan. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

26 Atharku laapaan: mooththaval irukka ilaiyavalaik koduppathu ivvidaththu valakkam alla. And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

27 Ivalutaiya aelu naalai niraivaettaு; avalaiyum unakkuth tharuvaen; avalukkaakavum nee innum aelu varusham ennidaththil vaelaisey entan. Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

28 Anthappatiyae yaakkopu, ivalutaiya aelunaalai niraivaettinaan. Appoluthu than kumaaraththiyaakiya raakaelaiyum avanukku manaiviyaakak koduththaan. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

29 Maelum laapaan than vaelaikkaariyaakiya pilkaalaith than kumaaraththiyaakiya raakaelukku vaelaikkaariyaakak koduththaan. And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

30 Yaakkopu raakaelaiyum sernthaan; laeyaalaippaarkkilum raakaelai avan athikamaay naesiththu, pinnum aelu varusham avanidaththil seviththaan. And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

31 Laeyaal arpamaay ennnappattal entu Karththar kanndu, aval karppantharikkumpati seythaar; raakaelo malatiyaayirunthaal. And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

32 Laeyaal karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaு: Karththar en siraுmaiyaip paarththarulinaar; ippoluthu en purushan ennai naesippaar entu solli, avanukku roopan entu paerittal. And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

33 Maraுpatiyum aval karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaு: naan arpamaay ennnappattathaik Karththar kaettaruli ivanaiyum enakkuth thanthaar entu solli, avanukkuch simiyon entu paerittal. And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

34 Pinnum aval karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaு: en purushanukku moontu kumaaranaip pettapatiyaal avar ippoluthu ennotae sernthiruppaar entu solli, avanukku laevi entu paerittal. And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

35 Maraுpatiyum aval karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaு ippoluthu karththaraith thuthippaen entu solli, avanukku yoothaa entu paerittal; pirpaadu avalukkup pillaippaeraு nintupoyittaு. And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
