மறுபடியும் அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: நான் அற்பமாய் எண்ணப்பட்டதைக் கர்த்தர் கேட்டருளி இவனையும் எனக்குத் தந்தார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குச் சிமியோன் என்று பேரிட்டாள்.

லேயாள் மீண்டும் கர்ப்பமானாள். அவள் இன்னொரு மகனைப் பெற்றாள். அவனுக்கு சிமியோன் என்று பெயர் வைத்தாள். “நான் நேசிக்கப்படாததைக் கண்டு கர்த்தர் எனக்கு இன்னொரு மகனை கொடுத்தார்” என்று கூறினாள்.

again, עוֹד֮ ʿôd ode
and bare וַתֵּ֣לֶד yālad ya-LAHD
a son; בֵּן֒ bēn bane
and said, וַתֹּ֗אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Because כִּֽי kî kee
hath heard שָׁמַ֤ע šāmaʿ sha-MA
the Lord יְהוָה֙ yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
that כִּֽי kî kee
hated, שְׂנוּאָ֣ה śānēʾ sa-NAY
I אָנֹ֔כִי ʾānōkî ah-noh-HEE
he hath therefore given וַיִּתֶּן nātan na-TAHN
לִ֖י
also: גַּם gam ɡahm
me אֶת ʾēt ate
this זֶ֑ה ze zeh
and she called וַתִּקְרָ֥א qārāʾ ka-RA
