34 அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் ஆபிரகாமுடைய ஊழியக்காரன். And he said, I am Abraham's servant.

35 கர்த்தர் என் எஜமானை மிகவும் ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறார், அவர் சீமானாயிருக்கிறார்; கர்த்தர் அவருக்கு ஆடுமாடுகளையும், வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும், வேலைக்காரரையும், வேலைக்காரிகளையும், ஒட்டகங்களையும், கழுதைகளையும் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

36 என் எஜமானுடைய மனைவியாகிய சாராள் முதிர்வயதானபோது, என் எஜமானுக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள்; அவர் தமக்கு உண்டான யாவையும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

37 என் எஜமான் என்னை நோக்கி: நான் குடியிருக்கிற கானான் தேசத்தாருடைய குமாரத்திகளில் நீ என் குமாரனுக்குப் பெண் கொள்ளாமல், And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

38 நீ என் தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்கும், என் இனத்தாரிடத்துக்கும் போய், என் குமாரனுக்குப் பெண்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுக்கும்படி சொன்னார். But thou shalt go unto my father's house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

39 அப்பொழுது நான் என் எஜமானை நோக்கி: ஒருவேளை அந்தப் பெண் என்பின்னே வராதேபோனாலோ என்று கேட்டதற்கு, And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

40 அவர்: நான் வழிபடும் கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பி, உன் பிரயாணத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணுவார்; என் இனத்தாரிடத்திலும், என் தகப்பன் வீட்டிலும் நீ என் குமாரனுக்குப் பெண்கொள்வாய். And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house:

41 நீ என் இனத்தாரிடத்துக்குப் போனால், என் ஆணைக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பாய்; அவர்கள் உனக்குப் பெண்கொடாமற்போனாலும், நீ என் ஆணைக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பாய் என்றார். Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

42 அப்படியே நான் இன்று துரவண்டையிலே வந்து: என் எஜமானாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே, என் பிரயாணத்தை நீர் இப்பொழுது வாய்க்கப்பண்ணுவீரானால், And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

43 இதோ, நான் தண்ணீர்த் துரவண்டையிலே நிற்கிறேன், தண்ணீர் மொள்ள வரப்போகிற கன்னிகையை நான் நோக்கி: உன் குடத்திலிருக்கிற தண்ணீரில் கொஞ்சம் எனக்குக் குடிக்கத் தரவேண்டும் என்று கேட்கும்போது: Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

44 நீ குடி என்றும், உன் ஒட்டகங்களுக்கும் மொண்டு வார்ப்பேன் என்றும் சொல்லும் பெண்ணே கர்த்தர் என் எஜமானுடைய குமாரனுக்கு நியமித்த ஸ்திரீயாகவேண்டும் என்றேன். And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master's son.

45 நான் இதை என் இருதயத்தில் சொல்லி முடிக்குமுன்னே, இதோ, ரெபெக்காள் தன் குடத்தைத் தோள்மேல் வைத்துக்கொண்டு புறப்பட்டுவந்து, துரவில் இறங்கிப்போய்த் தண்ணீர் மொண்டாள். அப்பொழுது நான்: எனக்குக் குடிக்கத் தரவேண்டும் என்றேன். And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.

47 அப்பொழுது: நீ யாருடைய மகள் என்று அவளைக் கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவள்: நான் மில்க்காள் நாகோருக்குப் பெற்ற குமாரனாகிய பெத்துவேலின் மகள் என்றாள்; அப்பொழுது அவளுக்குக் காதணியையும், அவள் கைகளிலே கடகங்களையும் போட்டு; And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

48 தலைகுனிந்து, கர்த்தரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, நான் என் எஜமானுடைய சகோதரன் குமாரத்தியை அவர் குமாரனுக்குக் கொள்ள என்னை நேர்வழியாய் நடத்திவந்த என் எஜமானாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரித்தேன். And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter unto his son.

49 இப்பொழுதும் நீங்களும் என் எஜமானுக்குத் தயையும் உண்மையும் உடையவர்களாய் நடக்க மனதுள்ளவர்களானால், எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்; இல்லையென்றால் அதையும் எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள், அப்பொழுது நான் வலது புறத்தையாகிலும் இடதுபுறத்தையாகிலும் நோக்கிப் போவேன் என்றான். And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

50 அப்பொழுது லாபானும் பெத்துவேலும் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இந்தக்காரியம் கர்த்தரால் வந்தது, உமக்கு நாங்கள் நலம் பொலம் ஒன்றும் சொல்லக் கூடாது. Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.

55 அப்பொழுது அவள் சகோதரனும் அவள் தாயும், பத்து நாளாகிலும் பெண் எங்களோடிருக்கட்டும், பிற்பாடு போகலாம் என்றார்கள். And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

56 அதற்கு அவன்: கர்த்தர் என் பிரயாணத்தை வாய்க்கப்பண்ணியிருக்க, நீங்கள் எனக்குத் தடைசெய்யாதிருங்கள்; நான் என் எஜமானிடத்துக்குப் போக என்னை அனுப்பிவிடவேண்டும் என்றான். And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

57 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: பெண்ணை அழைத்து, அவள் வாய்ப்பிறப்பைக் கேட்போம் என்று சொல்லி, And they said, We will call the damsel, and inquire at her mouth.

58 ரெபெக்காளை அழைத்து: நீ இந்த மனிதனோடேகூடப் போகிறாயா என்று கேட்டார்கள். அவள்: போகிறேன் என்றாள். And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

59 அப்படியே அவர்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரியாகிய ரெபெக்காளையும், அவள் தாதியையும், ஆபிரகாமின் ஊழியக்காரனையும், அவன் மனிதரையும் அனுப்புவித்து, And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.

And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

63 ஈசாக்கு சாயங்காலவேளையிலே தியானம்பண்ண வெளியிலே போயிருந்து, தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்த்தபோது, ஒட்டகங்கள் வரக்கண்டான். And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

64 ரெபெக்காளும் தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து ஈசாக்கைக் கண்டபோது, And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.

65 ஊழியக்காரனை நோக்கி: அங்கே நமக்கு எதிராக நடந்து வருகிற அந்த மனிதன் யார் என்று கேட்டாள். அவர்தான் என் எஜமான் என்று ஊழியக்காரன் சொன்னான். அப்பொழுது அவள் ஒட்டகத்தை விட்டிறங்கி முக்காடிட்டுக்கொண்டாள். For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

66 ஊழியக்காரன் தான் செய்த சகல காரியங்களையும் ஈசாக்குக்கு விவரித்துச் சொன்னான். And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.

34 Appoluthu avan: naan aapirakaamutaiya ooliyakkaaran. And he said, I am Abraham's servant.

35 Karththar en ejamaanai mikavum aaseervathiththirukkiraar, avar seemaanaayirukkiraar; Karththar avarukku aadumaadukalaiyum, velliyaiyum, ponnaiyum, vaelaikkaararaiyum, vaelaikkaarikalaiyum, ottakangalaiyum, kaluthaikalaiyum koduththirukkiraar. And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

36 En ejamaanutaiya manaiviyaakiya saaraal muthirvayathaanapothu, en ejamaanukku oru kumaaranaip pettaாl; avar thamakku unndaana yaavaiyum avanukkuk koduththirukkiraar. And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

37 En ejamaan ennai Nnokki: naan kutiyirukkira kaanaan thaesaththaarutaiya kumaaraththikalil nee en kumaaranukkup penn kollaamal, And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

38 Nee en thakappan veettukkum, en inaththaaridaththukkum poy, en kumaaranukkup pennkollavaenndum entu aannaiyittukkodukkumpati sonnaar. But thou shalt go unto my father's house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

39 Appoluthu naan en ejamaanai Nnokki: oruvaelai anthap penn enpinnae varaathaeponaalo entu kaettatharku, And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

40 Avar: naan valipadum Karththar unnotae thammutaiya thoothanai anuppi, un pirayaanaththai vaaykkappannnuvaar; en inaththaaridaththilum, en thakappan veettilum nee en kumaaranukkup pennkolvaay. And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house:

41 Nee en inaththaaridaththukkup ponaal, en aannaikku neengalaayiruppaay; avarkal unakkup pennkodaamarponaalum, nee en aannaikku neengalaayiruppaay entar. Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

42 Appatiyae naan intu thuravanntaiyilae vanthu: en ejamaanaakiya aapirakaamin thaevanaakiya karththarae, en pirayaanaththai neer ippoluthu vaaykkappannnuveeraanaal, And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

43 Itho, naan thannnneerth thuravanntaiyilae nirkiraேn, thannnneer molla varappokira kannikaiyai naan Nnokki: un kudaththilirukkira thannnneeril konjam enakkuk kutikkath tharavaenndum entu kaetkumpothu: Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

44 Nee kuti entum, un ottakangalukkum monndu vaarppaen entum sollum pennnnee Karththar en ejamaanutaiya kumaaranukku niyamiththa sthireeyaakavaenndum enten. And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master's son.

45 Naan ithai en iruthayaththil solli mutikkumunnae, itho, repekkaal than kudaththaith tholmael vaiththukkonndu purappattuvanthu, thuravil irangippoyth thannnneer monndaal. Appoluthu naan: enakkuk kutikkath tharavaenndum enten. And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

46 Aval seekkiramaayth than tholmaeliruntha kudaththai irakki, kutiyum, ummutaiya ottakangalukkum vaarppaen ental. Naan kutiththaen; ottakangalukkum vaarththaal. And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.

47 Appoluthu: nee yaarutaiya makal entu avalaik kaettaேn; atharku aval: naan milkkaal naakorukkup petta kumaaranaakiya peththuvaelin makal ental; appoluthu avalukkuk kaathanniyaiyum, aval kaikalilae kadakangalaiyum pottu; And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

48 Thalaikuninthu, karththaraip panninthukonndu, naan en ejamaanutaiya sakotharan kumaaraththiyai avar kumaaranukkuk kolla ennai naervaliyaay nadaththivantha en ejamaanaakiya aapirakaamin thaevanaayirukkira karththarai sthoththiriththaen. And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter unto his son.

49 Ippoluthum neengalum en ejamaanukkuth thayaiyum unnmaiyum utaiyavarkalaay nadakka manathullavarkalaanaal, enakkuch sollungal; illaiyental athaiyum enakkuch sollungal, appoluthu naan valathu puraththaiyaakilum idathupuraththaiyaakilum Nnokkip povaen entan. And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

50 Appoluthu laapaanum peththuvaelum pirathiyuththaramaaka: inthakkaariyam karththaraal vanthathu, umakku naangal nalam polam ontum sollak koodaathu. Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.

51 Itho, repekkaal umakku munpaaka irukkiraal; Karththar sonnapatiyae aval umathu ejamaanutaiya kumaaranukku manaiviyaakumpatikku, avalai alaiththukkonndupom entarkal. Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the LORD hath spoken.

52 Aapirakaamin ooliyakkaaran avarkal vaarththaikalaik kaettapothu, tharaimattum kuninthu, karththaraip panninthukonndaan. And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.

53 Pinpu antha ooliyakkaaran velliyutaimaikalaiyum, ponnutaimaikalaiyum, vasthirangalaiyum eduththu, repekkaalukkuk koduththathumanti, avalutaiya sakotharanukkum thaaykkum sila uchchithangalaiyum koduththaan. And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

54 Pinpu avanum avanotiruntha manitharum pusiththuk kutiththu, iraaththanginaarkal; kaalaiyilae elunthirunthu, avan: en ejamaanidaththukku ennai anuppividungal entan. And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

55 Appoluthu aval sakotharanum aval thaayum, paththu naalaakilum penn engalotirukkattum, pirpaadu pokalaam entarkal. And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

56 Atharku avan: Karththar en pirayaanaththai vaaykkappannnniyirukka, neengal enakkuth thataiseyyaathirungal; naan en ejamaanidaththukkup poka ennai anuppividavaenndum entan. And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

57 Appoluthu avarkal: pennnnai alaiththu, aval vaayppirappaik kaetpom entu solli, And they said, We will call the damsel, and inquire at her mouth.

58 Repekkaalai alaiththu: nee intha manithanotaekoodap pokiraayaa entu kaettarkal. Aval: pokiraேn ental. And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

59 Appatiyae avarkal thangal sakothariyaakiya repekkaalaiyum, aval thaathiyaiyum, aapirakaamin ooliyakkaaranaiyum, avan manitharaiyum anuppuviththu, And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.

60 Repekkaalai vaalththi: engal sakothariyae, nee kodaakotiyaayp perukuvaayaaka; un santhathiyaar thangal pakainjarutaiya vaasalkalaich suthanthariththukkolvaarkalaaka entu aaseervathiththaarkal. And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

61 Appoluthu repekkaalum aval vaelaikkaarikalum elunthu ottakangalinmael aeri, antha manithanotaekoodap ponaarkal. Ooliyakkaaran repekkaalai alaiththukkonnduponaan. And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.

62 Eesaakku thenthaesaththil kutiyirunthaan. Appoluthu avan: lakaayroyee ennappatta thuravin valiyaayp purappattuvanthaan. And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.

63 Eesaakku saayangaalavaelaiyilae thiyaanampannna veliyilae poyirunthu, than kannkalai aeraெduththup paarththapothu, ottakangal varakkanndaan. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

64 Repekkaalum than kannkalai aeraெduththu eesaakkaik kanndapothu, And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.

65 Ooliyakkaaranai Nnokki: angae namakku ethiraaka nadanthu varukira antha manithan yaar entu kaettal. Avarthaan en ejamaan entu ooliyakkaaran sonnaan. Appoluthu aval ottakaththai vittirangi mukkaatittukkonndaal. For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

66 Ooliyakkaaran thaan seytha sakala kaariyangalaiyum eesaakkukku vivariththuch sonnaan. And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
