1 ரூபன் புத்திரருக்கும் காத் புத்திரருக்கும் ஆடுமாடுகள் மிகவும் திரளாயிருந்தது; அவர்கள் யாசேர் தேசத்தையும் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தையும் பார்த்தபோது, அது ஆடுமாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்த இடமென்று கண்டார்கள். Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

2 ஆகையால் ரூபன் புத்திரரும் காத் புத்திரரும் வந்து, மோசேயையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரையும் சபையின் பிரபுக்களையும் நோக்கி: The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

3 கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் சபைக்கு முன்பாக முறிய அடித்த அதரோத், தீபோன், யாசேர், நிம்ரா, எஸ்போன், எலெயாலெ, சேபாம், நேபோ, பெயோன் என்னும் பட்டணங்களைச் சேர்ந்த நாடானது ஆடுமாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்த இடம். Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

4 உமது அடியாருக்கு ஆடுமாடுகள் உண்டு. Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

5 உம்முடைய கண்களில் எங்களுக்குத் தயை கிடைத்ததானால், எங்களை யோர்தான் நதிக்கு அப்புறம் கடந்துபோகப்பண்ணீராக; இந்த நாட்டை உமது அடியாருக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

6 அப்பொழுது மோசே காத் புத்திரரையும் ரூபன் புத்திரரையும் நோக்கி: உங்கள் சகோதரர் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகையில், நீங்கள் இங்கே இருப்பீர்களோ? And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

7 கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திற்கு அவர்கள் போகாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் அவர்கள் இருதயத்தைத் திடனற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணுகிறதென்ன? And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

10 அதினால் கர்த்தர் அந்நாளிலே கோபம் மூண்டவராகி: And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,

11 உத்தமமாய் என்னைப் பின்பற்றின கேனேசியனான எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரன் காலேபும், நூனின் குமாரன் யோசுவாவும் தவிர, Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

12 எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்தவர்களில் இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்டமனிதர்களில் ஒருவரும் என்னை உத்தமமாய்ப் பின்பற்றாதபடியால், அவர்கள் நான் ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்த தேசத்தைக் காண்பதில்லை என்று ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறார். And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

14 இப்பொழுதும் இதோ இஸ்ரவேலர்மேலிருக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தை இன்னும் அதிகரிக்கப்பண்ணும்படி, நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் ஸ்தானத்திலே பாவமுள்ள பெருங்கூட்டமாய் எழும்பியிருக்கிறீர்கள். And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

15 நீங்கள் அவரைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கினால், அவர் இன்னும் அவர்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் இருக்கப்பண்ணுவார்; இப்படி நீங்கள் இந்த ஜனங்களையெல்லாம் அழியப்பண்ணுவீர்கள் என்றான். For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

17 நாங்களோ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை அவர்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்குமளவும், யுத்தசன்னத்தாரய்த் தீவிரத்தோடே அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக நடப்போம்; எங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் இத்தேசத்துக் குடிகளினிமித்தம் அரணான பட்டணங்களிலே குடியிருக்கக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறோம். But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

18 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் யாவரும் தங்கள் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும், நாங்கள் எங்கள் வீடுகளுக்குத் திரும்புவதில்லை. We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

19 யோர்தானுக்கு இப்புறத்தில் கிழக்கே எங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரம் உண்டானபடியினாலே, நாங்கள் அவர்களோடேகூட யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையிலும், அதற்கு அப்புறத்திலும் சுதந்தரம் வாங்கமாட்டோம் என்றார்கள். For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

20 அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தசன்னத்தராகி, And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

21 கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களைத் தம்முடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுமளவும், நீங்கள் யாவரும் அவருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தசன்னத்தராய் யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோவீர்களனால், And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

22 அத்தேசம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக வசப்படுத்தப்பட்டபின்பு நீங்கள் திரும்பிவந்து, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு முன்பாகவும், குற்றமில்லாதிருப்பீர்கள்; அதற்குப்பின்பு இந்த தேசம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகும். And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

23 நீங்கள் இப்படிச் செய்யாமற்போனால், கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்தவர்களாயிருப்பீர்கள்; உங்கள் பாவம் உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்துபிடிக்கும் என்று நிச்சயமாய் அறியுங்கள். But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

24 உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்காகப் பட்டணங்களையும், உங்கள் ஆடுமாடுகளுக்காகத் தொழுவங்களையும் கட்டி, உங்கள் வாய்மொழியின்படியே செய்யுங்கள் என்றான். Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

25 அப்பொழுது காத் புத்திரரும் ரூபன் புத்திரரும் மோசேயை நோக்கி: எங்கள் ஆண்டவன் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே உமது ஊழியக்காரராகிய நாங்கள் செய்வோம். And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

26 எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் எங்கள் மனைவிகளும், எங்கள் ஆடுமாடு முதலான எங்களுடைய எல்லா மிருகஜீவன்களோடும் இங்கே கீலேயாத்தின் பட்டணங்களில் இருப்பார்கள். Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

27 உமது ஊழியக்காரராகிய நாங்களோ எங்கள் ஆண்டவன் சொன்னபடியே, ஒவ்வொருவரும் யுத்தசன்னத்தராய், கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போவோம் என்றார்கள். But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the Lord to battle, as my lord saith.

28 அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களுக்காக ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கும், நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவுக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய கோத்திர பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவர்களுக்கும் கட்டளையிட்டு: So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

29 காத் புத்திரரும் ரூபன் புத்திரரும் அவரவர் கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தசன்னத்தாராய் உங்களோடேகூட யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோனால், அத்தேசம் உங்களுக்கு வசப்பட்டபின்பு, அவர்களுக்குக் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கக்கடவீர்கள். And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

30 உங்களோடேகூட யுத்தசன்னத்தராய்க் கடந்துபோகாதிருந்தார்களேயானால், அவர்கள் உங்கள் நடுவே கானான் தேசத்திலே சுதந்தரம் அடையக்கடவர்கள் என்றான். But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

31 காத் புத்திரரும் ரூபன் புத்திரரும் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரராகிய நாங்கள் கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே செய்வோம். And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

32 யோர்தானுக்கு இக்கரையிலே எங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தின் காணியாட்சி எங்களுக்கு உரியதாகும்படி நாங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தசன்னத்தாராய்க் கானான்தேசத்திற்குப் போவோம் என்றார்கள். We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

33 அப்பொழுது மோசே காத் புத்திரருக்கும், ரூபன் புத்திரருக்கும், யோசேப்பின் குமாரனாகிய மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தாருக்கும், எமோரியருடைய ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனின் ராஜ்யத்தையும், பாசானுடைய ராஜாவாகிய ஓகின் ராஜ்யத்தையும், அவைகளைச் சேர்ந்த தேசங்களையும் அவைகளின் எல்லையைச் சுற்றிலுமுள்ள பட்டணங்களையும் கொடுத்தான். And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

34 பின்பு காத் சந்ததியார் தீபோன், அதரோத் ஆரோவேர். And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

35 ஆத்ரோத், சோபான், யாசேர், யொகிபேயா, And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

36 பெத்நிம்ரா, பெத்தாரன் என்னும் அரணான பட்டணங்களையும் ஆட்டுத்தொழுவங்களையும் கட்டினார்கள். And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

37 ரூபன் சந்ததியார் எஸ்போன், எலெயாலெ, கீரியத்தாயீம், And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

38 பேர்கள் மற்றப்பட்ட நேபோ, பாகால்மெயோன், சீப்மா என்பவைகளைக் கட்டி, தாங்கள் கட்டின பட்டணங்களுக்கு வேறே பேர்களைக் கொடுத்தார்கள். And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

39 மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீரின் புத்திரர் கீலேயாத்திற்குப் போய், அதைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அதிலிருந்த எமோரியரைத் துரத்திவிட்டார்கள். And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.

40 அப்பொழுது மோசே கீலேயாத்தை மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீருக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவர்கள் அதிலே குடியேறினார்கள். And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

41 மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய யாவீர் போய், அவர்களுடைய கிராமங்களைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவைகளுக்கு யாவீர் என்று பேரிட்டான். And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair.

1 Roopan puththirarukkum kaath puththirarukkum aadumaadukal mikavum thiralaayirunthathu; avarkal yaaser thaesaththaiyum geelaeyaath thaesaththaiyum paarththapothu, athu aadumaadukalukkuth thakuntha idamentu kanndaarkal. Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

2 Aakaiyaal roopan puththirarum kaath puththirarum vanthu, Mosesyaiyum aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaaraiyum Sabaiyin pirapukkalaiyum Nnokki: The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

3 Karththar Israel Sabaikku munpaaka muriya atiththa atharoth, theepon, yaaser, nimraa, espon, eleyaale, sepaam, naepo, peyon ennum pattanangalaich serntha naadaanathu aadumaadukalukkuth thakuntha idam. Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

4 Umathu atiyaarukku aadumaadukal unndu. Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

5 Ummutaiya kannkalil engalukkuth thayai kitaiththathaanaal, engalai yorthaan nathikku appuram kadanthupokappannnneeraaka; intha naattaை umathu atiyaarukkuk kaanniyaatchiyaakak kodukkavaenndum entarkal. Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

6 Appoluthu Moses kaath puththiraraiyum roopan puththiraraiyum Nnokki: ungal sakotharar yuththaththirkup pokaiyil, neengal ingae iruppeerkalo? And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

7 Karththar Israel puththirarukkuk koduththa thaesaththirku avarkal pokaathapatikku, neengal avarkal iruthayaththaith thidanattaுppokappannnukirathenna? And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

8 Antha thaesaththaip paarppatharku naan ungal pithaakkalaik kaathaesparnaeyaavilirunthu anuppinapothu avarkalum ippatiyae seythaarkal. Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land.

9 Avarkal eskol pallaththaakkumattum poy, aththaesaththaip paarththuvanthu, Israel puththirar Karththar thangalukkuk koduththa thaesaththirkup pokaathapatikku avarkal iruthayaththaith thidanattaுppokappannnninaarkal. For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

10 Athinaal Karththar annaalilae kopam moonndavaraaki: And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,

11 Uththamamaay ennaip pinpattina kaenaesiyanaana eppunnaeyin kumaaran kaalaepum, noonin kumaaran yosuvaavum thavira, Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

12 Ekipthilirunthu vanthavarkalil irupathu vayathumuthal atharku maerpattamanitharkalil oruvarum ennai uththamamaayp pinpattaாthapatiyaal, avarkal naan aapirakaamukkum eesaakkukkum yaakkopukkum aannaiyittukkoduththa thaesaththaik kaannpathillai entu aannaiyittirukkiraar. 13 Appatiyae karththarutaiya kopam isravaelinmael moonndathu; karththarutaiya samukaththil pollaappuch seytha anthach santhathiyellaam nirmoolamaakumattum avarkalai vanaantharaththilae naarpathu varusham alaiyappannnninaar. And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

14 Ippoluthum itho isravaelarmaelirukkum karththarutaiya kopaththin ukkiraththai innum athikarikkappannnumpati, neengal ungal pithaakkalin sthaanaththilae paavamulla perungaூttamaay elumpiyirukkireerkal. And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

15 Neengal avaraivittup pinvaanginaal, avar innum avarkalai vanaantharaththil irukkappannnuvaar; ippati neengal intha janangalaiyellaam aliyappannnuveerkal entan. For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

16 Appoluthu avarkal avan sameepaththil vanthu: engal aadumaadukalukkaakath tholuvangalaiyum, engal pillaikalukkaakap pattanangalaiyum ingae kattuvom. And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

17 Naangalo Israel puththirarai avarkal sthaanaththilae konndupoych serkkumalavum, yuththasannaththaarayth theeviraththotae avarkalukku munpaaka nadappom; engal pillaikal iththaesaththuk kutikalinimiththam arannaana pattanangalilae kutiyirukkak kaettukkollukirom. But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

18 Israel puththirar yaavarum thangal thangal suthantharaththaich suthanthariththuk kollumvaraikkum, naangal engal veedukalukkuth thirumpuvathillai. We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

19 Yorthaanukku ippuraththil kilakkae engalukkuch suthantharam unndaanapatiyinaalae, naangal avarkalotaekooda yorthaanukku akkaraiyilum, atharku appuraththilum suthantharam vaangamaattaோm entarkal. For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

20 Appoluthu Moses avarkalai Nnokki: neengal intha vaarththaiyinpatiyae seythu, karththarutaiya samukaththil yuththasannaththaraaki, And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

21 Karththar thammutaiya saththurukkalaith thammutaiya mukaththirku munnintu thuraththividumalavum, neengal yaavarum avarutaiya samukaththil yuththasannaththaraay yorthaanaik kadanthupoveerkalanaal, And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

22 Aththaesam karththarukku munpaaka vasappaduththappattapinpu neengal thirumpivanthu, karththarukku munpaakavum, isravaelarukku munpaakavum, kuttamillaathiruppeerkal; atharkuppinpu intha thaesam karththarukku munpaaka ungalukkuch suthantharamaakum. And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

23 Neengal ippatich seyyaamarponaal, karththarukku virothamaakap paavam seythavarkalaayiruppeerkal; ungal paavam ungalaith thodarnthupitikkum entu nichchayamaay ariyungal. But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

24 Ungal pillaikalukkaakap pattanangalaiyum, ungal aadumaadukalukkaakath tholuvangalaiyum katti, ungal vaaymoliyinpatiyae seyyungal entan. Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

25 Appoluthu kaath puththirarum roopan puththirarum Mosesyai Nnokki: engal aanndavan kattalaiyittapatiyae umathu ooliyakkaararaakiya naangal seyvom. And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

26 Engal pillaikalaiyum engal manaivikalum, engal aadumaadu muthalaana engalutaiya ellaa mirukajeevankalodum ingae geelaeyaaththin pattanangalil iruppaarkal. Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

27 Umathu ooliyakkaararaakiya naangalo engal aanndavan sonnapatiyae, ovvoruvarum yuththasannaththaraay, karththarutaiya samukaththil yuththaththirkup povom entarkal. But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the Lord to battle, as my lord saith.

28 Appoluthu Moses avarkalukkaaka aasaariyanaakiya eleyaasaarukkum, noonin kumaaranaakiya yosuvaavukkum, Israel puththirarutaiya koththira pithaakkalaakiya thalaivarkalukkum kattalaiyittu: So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

29 Kaath puththirarum roopan puththirarum avaravar karththarutaiya samukaththil yuththasannaththaaraay ungalotaekooda yorthaanaik kadanthuponaal, aththaesam ungalukku vasappattapinpu, avarkalukkuk geelaeyaath thaesaththaich suthantharamaakak kodukkakkadaveerkal. And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

30 Ungalotaekooda yuththasannaththaraayk kadanthupokaathirunthaarkalaeyaanaal, avarkal ungal naduvae kaanaan thaesaththilae suthantharam ataiyakkadavarkal entan. But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

31 Kaath puththirarum roopan puththirarum pirathiyuththaramaaka: ummutaiya ooliyakkaararaakiya naangal Karththar engalukkuch sonnapatiyae seyvom. And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

32 Yorthaanukku ikkaraiyilae engal suthantharaththin kaanniyaatchi engalukku uriyathaakumpati naangal karththarutaiya samukaththil yuththasannaththaaraayk kaanaanthaesaththirkup povom entarkal. We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

33 Appoluthu Moses kaath puththirarukkum, roopan puththirarukkum, yoseppin kumaaranaakiya manaaseyin paathik koththiraththaarukkum, emoriyarutaiya raajaavaakiya seekonin raajyaththaiyum, paasaanutaiya raajaavaakiya okin raajyaththaiyum, avaikalaich serntha thaesangalaiyum avaikalin ellaiyaich suttilumulla pattanangalaiyum koduththaan. And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

34 Pinpu kaath santhathiyaar theepon, atharoth aarovaer. And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

35 Aathroth, sopaan, yaaser, yokipaeyaa, And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

36 Pethnimraa, peththaaran ennum arannaana pattanangalaiyum aattuththoluvangalaiyum kattinaarkal. And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

37 Roopan santhathiyaar espon, eleyaale, geeriyaththaayeem, And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

38 Paerkal mattappatta naepo, paakaalmeyon, seepmaa enpavaikalaik katti, thaangal kattina pattanangalukku vaeraே paerkalaik koduththaarkal. And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

39 Manaaseyin kumaaranaakiya maageerin puththirar geelaeyaaththirkup poy, athaik kattikkonndu, athiliruntha emoriyaraith thuraththivittarkal. And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.

40 Appoluthu Moses geelaeyaaththai manaaseyin kumaaranaakiya maageerukkuk koduththaan; avarkal athilae kutiyaerinaarkal. And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

41 Manaaseyin kumaaranaakiya yaaveer poy, avarkalutaiya kiraamangalaik kattikkonndu, avaikalukku yaaveer entu paerittan. And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair.
