எபேசியர் 2:3
அவர்களுக்குள்ளே நாமெல்லாரும் முற்காலத்திலே நமது மாம்ச இச்சையின்டியே நடந்து, நமது மாம்சமும் மனசும் விரும்பினவைகளைச் செய்து, சுபாவத்தினாலே மற்றவர்களைப்போலக் கோபாக்கினையின் பிள்ளைகளாயிருந்தோம்.

அவர்களுக்குள்ளே நாமெல்லோரும் முற்காலத்திலே நமது சரீர விருப்பத்தின்படியே நடந்து, நமது சரீரமும் மனதும் விரும்பினவைகளைச் செய்து, சுபாவத்தினாலே மற்றவர்களைப்போலக் கோபத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாக இருந்தோம்.

கடந்த காலத்தில் நாம் அனைவரும் அவர்களைப் போலவே வாழ்ந்தோம். நமது மனவிருப்பப்படி பாவத்தில் வாழ்ந்தோம். நமது மனமும் சரீரமும் விரும்பியதையே நாம் செய்தோம். நாம் தீயவர்களாய் இருந்தோம். நமது வாழ்க்கை முறையின் காரணமாக தேவனின் கோபத்தால் நாம் துன்பப்பட வேண்டும். மற்ற அனைத்து மக்களைப் போலவே நாமும் இருந்தோம்.
