அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுப்பாயாக; அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது உன் இருதயம் விசனப்படாதிருப்பதாக; அதினிமித்தமாக உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னுடைய எல்லாக் கிரியைகளிலும், நீ கையிட்டுச் செய்யும் எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
நான் இளைஞனாயிருந்தேன், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனுமானேன், ஆனாலும் நீதிமான் கைவிடப்பட்டதையும், அவன் சந்ததி அப்பத்துக்கு இரந்துதிரிகிறதையும் நான் காணவில்லை.
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
அவன் நித்தம் இரங்கிக் கடன்கொடுக்கிறான், அவன் சந்ததி ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும்.
He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
சிறுமைப்பட்டவன்மேல் சிந்தையுள்ளவன் பாக்கியவான்; தீங்குநாளில் கர்த்தர் அவனை விடுவிப்பார்.
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
படுக்கையின்மேல் வியாதியாய்க்கிடக்கிற அவனைக் கர்த்தர் தாங்குவார்; அவனுடைய வியாதியிலே அவன் படுக்கை முழுவதையும் மாற்றிப்போடுவீர்.
The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
இரங்கிக் கடன்கொடுத்து, தன் காரியங்களை நியாயமானபடி நடப்பிக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.
A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
அவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் அசைக்கப்படாதிருப்பான்; நீதிமான் நித்திய கீர்த்தியுள்ளவன்.
Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
வாரியிறைத்தான் ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான், அவனுடைய நீதி என்றென்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்; அவன் கொம்பு மகிமையாய் உயர்த்தப்படும்.
He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
வாரியிறைத்தும் விருத்தியடைவாரும் உண்டு; அதிகமாய்ப் பிசினித்தனம்பண்ணியும் வறுமையடைவாரும் உண்டு.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
உதாரகுணமுள்ள ஆத்துமா செழிக்கும்; எவன் தண்ணீர் பாய்ச்சுகிறானோ அவனுக்குத் தண்ணீர் பாய்ச்சப்படும்.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
நன்மையை ஜாக்கிரதையுடன் தேடுகிறவன் தயையைப் பெறுவான்; தீமையைத் தேடுகிறவனுக்கோ தீமையே வரும்.
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
பிறனை அவமதிக்கிறவன் பாவஞ்செய்கிறான்; தரித்திரனுக்கு இரங்குகிறவனோ பாக்கியமடைவான்.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
ஏழைக்கு இரங்குகிறவன் கர்த்தருக்குக் கடன்கொடுக்கிறான்; அவன் கொடுத்ததை அவர் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பார்.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
கருணைக்கண்ணன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவான்; அவன் தன் ஆகாரத்தில் தரித்திரனுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறான்.
He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
அநியாய வட்டியினாலும் ஆதாயத்தினாலும் தன் ஆஸ்தியைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறவன், தரித்திரர்பேரில் இரங்குகிறவனுக்காக அதைச் சேகரிக்கிறான்.
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
தரித்திரருக்குக் கொடுப்பவன் தாழ்ச்சியடையான்; தன் கண்களை ஏழைகளுக்கு விலக்குகிறவனுக்கோ அநேக சாபங்கள் வரும்.
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
உன் ஆகாரத்தைத் தண்ணீர்கள்மேல் போடு; அநேக நாட்களுக்குப் பின்பு அதின் பலனைக் காண்பாய்.
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
ஏழுபேருக்கும் எட்டுபேருக்கும் பங்கிட்டுக்கொடு; பூமியின்மேல் என்ன ஆபத்து நேரிடுமோ உனக்குத் தெரியாது.
Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
தயாளகுணமுள்ளவன் தயாளமானவைகளை யோசிக்கிறான், தயாளமானவைகளிலே நிலைத்தும் இருக்கிறான்.
But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
பசியுள்ளவனுக்கு உன் ஆகாரத்தைப் பகிர்ந்துகொடுக்கிறதும், துரத்துண்ட சிறுமையானவர்களை வீட்டிலே சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதும், வஸ்திரமில்லாதவனைக்கண்டால் அவனுக்கு வஸ்திரங் கொடுக்கிறதும், உன் மாம்சமானவனுக்கு உன்னை ஒளிக்காமலிருக்கிறதும் அல்லவோ எனக்கு உகந்த உபவாசம்.
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
அப்பொழுது விடியற்கால வெளுப்பைப்போல உன் வெளிச்சம் எழும்பி உன் சுகவாழ்வு சீக்கிரத்தில் துளிர்த்து உன் நீதி உனக்கு முன்னாலே செல்லும்; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை உன்னைப் பின்னாலே காக்கும்.
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
பசியுள்ளவனிடத்தில் உன் ஆத்துமாவைச் சாய்த்து, சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஆத்துமாவைத் திருப்தியாக்கினால், அப்பொழுது இருளில் உன் வெளிச்சம் உதித்து, உன் அந்தகாரம் மத்தியானத்தைப்போலாகும்.
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
கர்த்தர் நித்தமும் உன்னை நடத்தி, மகா வறட்சியான காலங்களில் உன் ஆத்துமாவைத் திருப்தியாக்கி, உன் எலும்புகளை நிணமுள்ளதாக்குவார்; நீ நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சலான தோட்டத்தைப்போலவும், வற்றாத நீரூற்றைப்போலவும் இருப்பாய்.
And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
சீஷன் என்னும் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் இந்தச் சிறியரில் ஒருவனுக்கு ஒருகலசம் தண்ணீர் மாத்திரம் குடிக்கக் கொடுக்கிறவனும் தன் பலனை அடையாமற்போகான் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
அப்பொழுது, ராஜா தமது வலது பக்கத்தில் நிற்பவர்களைப்பார்த்து: வாருங்கள் என் பிதாவினால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களே, உலகம் உண்டானதுமுதல் உங்களுக்காக ஆசீர்வாதம் பண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கிற ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
வஸ்திரமில்லாதிருந்தேன், எனக்கு வஸ்திரங்கொடுத்தீர்கள்; வியாதியாயிருந்தேன், என்னை விசாரிக்க வந்தீர்கள்; காவலிலிருந்தேன், என்னைப் பார்க்கவந்தீர்கள் என்பார்.
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
அதற்கு ராஜா பிரதியுத்தரமாக: மிகவும் சிறியவராகிய என் சகோதரரான இவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு நீங்கள் எதைச் செய்தீர்களோ, அதை எனக்கே செய்தீர்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்பார்.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
இயேசு அவனைப் பார்த்து, அவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து: உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு குறைவு உண்டு; நீ போய், உனக்கு உண்டானவைகளையெல்லாம் விற்று, தரித்திரருக்குக் கொடு, அப்பொழுது பரலோகத்திலே உனக்குப் பொக்கிஷம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்; பின்பு சிலுவையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு என்னைப் பின்பற்றிவா என்றார்.
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அமுக்கிக் குலுக்கிச் சரிந்து விழும்படி நன்றாய் அளந்து, உங்கள் மடியிலே போடுவார்கள்; நீங்கள் எந்த அளவினால் அளக்கிறீர்களோ அந்த அளவினால் உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படுமென்றார்.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
உங்களுக்கு உண்டானவைகளில் பிச்சை கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது சகலமும் உங்களுக்குச் சுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.
But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
உங்களுக்கு உள்ளவைகளை விற்றுப் பிச்சைகொடுங்கள், பழமையாய்ப் போகாத பணப்பைகளையும் குறையாத பொக்கிஷத்தையும் பரலோகத்திலே உங்களுக்குச் சம்பாதித்துவையுங்கள், அங்கே திருடன் அணுகுகிறதுமில்லை, பூச்சி கெடுக்கிறதுமில்லை.
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
நீ விருந்துபண்ணும்போது ஏழைகளையும் ஊனரையும் சப்பாணிகளையும் குருடரையும் அழைப்பாயாக.
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
அப்பொழுது நீ பாக்கியவானாயிருப்பாய்; அவர்கள் உனக்குப் பதில் செய்யமாட்டார்கள்; நீதிமான்களின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலில் உனக்குப் பதில் செய்யப்படும் என்றார்.
And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீங்கள் மாளும்போது உங்களை நித்தியமான வீடுகளிலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்வாருண்டாகும்படி, அநீதியான உலகப்பொருளால் உங்களுக்குச் சிநேகிதரைச் சம்பாதியுங்கள்.
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
ஒருவனுக்கு மனவிருப்பமிருந்தால், அவனுக்கு இல்லாததின்படியல்ல, அவனுக்கு உள்ளதின்படியே அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்.
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
பின்னும் நான் சொல்லுகிறதென்னவெனில், சிறுக விதைக்கிறவன் சிறுக அறுப்பான், பெருக விதைக்கிறவன் பெருக அறுப்பான்.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
அவனவன் விசனமாயுமல்ல, கட்டாயமாயுமல்ல, தன் மனதில் நியமித்தபடியே கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; உற்சாகமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவனிடத்தில் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
மேலும், நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் எப்பொழுதும் சம்பூரணமுடையவர்களாயும், சகலவித நற்கிரியைகளிலும் பெருகுகிறவர்களாயுமிருக்கும்படியாக, தேவன் உங்களிடத்தில் சகலவித கிருபையையும் பெருகச்செய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
விதைக்கிறவனுக்கு விதையையும், புசிக்கிறதற்கு ஆகாரத்தையும் அளிக்கிறவர் உங்களுக்கு விதையை அளித்து, அதைப் பெருகப்பண்ணி, உங்கள் நீதியின் விளைச்சலை வர்த்திக்கச் செய்வார்.
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
இவ்வுலகத்திலே ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவர்கள் இறுமாப்பான சிந்தையுள்ளவர்களாயிராமலும், நிலையற்ற ஐசுவரியத்தின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வையாமலும், நாம் அனுபவிக்கிறதற்குச் சகலவித நன்மைகளையும் நமக்குச் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கவும்,
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
நித்திய ஜீவனைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்படி வருங்காலத்திற்காகத் தங்களுக்கு நல்ல ஆதாரத்தைப் பொக்கிஷமாக வைக்கவும் அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடு,
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
அன்றியும் நன்மைசெய்யவும், தானதர்மம்பண்ணவும் மறவாதிருங்கள்; இப்படிப்பட்ட பலிகளின்மேல் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
