1 அப்பொழுது, பரலோகராஜ்யம் தங்கள் தீவட்டிகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு மணவாளனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோகப் புறப்பட்ட பத்துக் கன்னிகைகளுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கும். Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 அவர்களில் ஐந்துபேர் புத்தியுள்ளவர்களும், ஐந்துபேர் புத்தியில்லாதவர்களுமாயிருந்தார்கள். And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 புத்தியில்லாதவர்கள் தங்கள் தீவட்டிகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள், எண்ணெயையோ கூடக்கொண்டுபோகவில்லை. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 புத்தியுள்ளவர்கள் தங்கள் தீவட்டிகளோடுங்கூடத் தங்கள் பாத்திரங்களில் எண்ணெயையும் கொண்டுபோனார்கள். But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 மணவாளன் வரத் தாமதித்தபோது அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் நித்திரைήயக்கமடைந்து தூங்கிவிட்டார்கள். While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 நடுராத்திரியிலே: இதோ மணவாளன் வருகிறார், அவருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோகப்புறப்படுங்கள் என்கிற சத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 அப்பொழுது அந்தக் கன்னிகைகள் எல்லாரும் எழுந்திருந்து, தங்கள் தீவட்டிகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 புத்தியில்லாதவர்கள் புத்தியுள்ளவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் எண்ணெயில் எங்களுக்குக் கொஞ்சங்கொடுங்கள், எங்கள் தீவட்டிகள் அணைந்துபோகிறதே என்றார்கள். And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 புத்தியுள்ளவர்கள் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அப்படியல்ல, எங்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் போதாமலிராதபடி, நீங்கள் விற்கிறவர்களிடத்திற் போய், உங்களுக்காக வாங்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றார்கள். But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 அப்படியே அவர்கள் வாங்கப் போனபோது மணவாளன் வந்துவிட்டார்; ஆயத்தமாயிருந்தவர்கள் அவரோடே கூடக் கலியாண வீட்டிற்குள் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; கதவும் அடைக்கப்பட்டது. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 பின்பு, மற்றக் கன்னிகைகளும் வந்து: ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே எங்களுக்குத் திறக்கவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 அதற்கு அவர்: உங்களை அறியேன் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார். But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 மனுஷகுமாரன் வரும் நாளையாவது நாழிகையையாவது நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்கிறபடியால் விழித்திருங்கள். Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

14 அன்றியும் பரலோகராஜ்யம் புறத்தேசத்துக்குப் பிரயாணமாய்ப் போகிற ஒரு மனுஷன் தன் ஊழியக்காரரை அழைத்து, தன் ஆஸ்தியை அவர்கள் வசமாய் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததுபோல் இருக்கிறது. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 அவனவனுடைய திறமைக்குத்தக்கதாக, ஒருவனிடத்தில் ஐந்து தாலந்தும், ஒருவனிடத்தில் இரண்டு தாலந்தும், ஒருவனிடத்தில் ஒரு தாலந்தும், கொடுத்து, உடனே பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போனான். And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 ஐந்து தாலந்தை வாங்கினவன் போய், அவைகளைக்கொண்டு வியாபாரம் பண்ணி, வேறு ஐந்து தாலந்தைச் சம்பாதித்தான். Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 அப்படியே இரண்டு தாலந்தை வாங்கினவனும், வேறு இரண்டு தாலந்தைச் சம்பாதித்தான். And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 ஒரு தாலந்தை வாங்கினவன், போய், நிலத்தைத் தோண்டி, தன் எஜமானுடைய பணத்தைப் புதைத்து வைத்தான். But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

19 வெகுகாலமானபின்பு அந்த ஊழியக்காரருடைய எஜமான் திரும்பிவந்து, அவர்களிடத்தில் கணக்குக்கேட்டான். After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 அப்பொழுது ஐந்து தாலந்தை வாங்கினவன் வேறு ஐந்து தாலந்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து: ஆண்டவனே, ஐந்து தாலந்தை என்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புவித்தீரே; அவைகளைக்கொண்டு, இதோ வேறு ஐந்து தாலந்தைச் சம்பாதித்தேன் என்றான். And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 அவனுடைய எஜமான் அவனை நோக்கி: நல்லது, உத்தமமும் உண்மையுமான ஊழியக்காரனே, கொஞ்சத்திலே உண்மையாயிருந்தாய், அநேகத்தின் மேல் உன்னை அதிகாரியாக வைப்பேன், உன் எஜமானுடைய சந்தோஷத்திற்குள் பிரவேசி என்றான். His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 இரண்டு தாலந்தை வாங்கினவனும் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே, இரண்டு தாலந்தை என்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புவித்தீரே; அவைகளைக்கொண்டு, இதோ வேறு இரண்டு தாலந்தைச் சம்பாதித்தேன் என்றான். He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 அவனுடைய எஜமான் அவனை நோக்கி: நல்லது, உத்தமமும் உண்மையுமுள்ள ஊழியக்காரனே, கொஞ்சத்திலே உண்மையாயிருந்தாய், அநேகத்தின் மேல் உன்னை அதிகாரியாக வைப்பேன்; உன் எஜமானுடைய சந்தோஷத்திற்குள் பிரவேசி என்றான். His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 ஒரு தாலந்தை வாங்கினவன் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே நீர் விதைக்காத இடத்தில் அறுக்கிறவரும், தெளிக்காத இடத்தில் சேர்க்கிறவருமான கடின இருதயமுள்ள மனுஷன் என்று அறிவேன். Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 ஆகையால், நான் பயந்துபோய், உமது தாலந்தை நிலத்தில் புதைத்து வைத்தேன்; இதோ, உம்முடையதை வாங்கிக்கொள்ளும் என்றான். And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 அவனுடைய எஜமான் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: பொல்லாதவனும் சோம்பனுமான ஊழியக்காரனே, நான் விதைக்காத இடத்தில் அறுக்கிறவனென்றும், தெளிக்காத இடத்தில் சேர்க்கிறவனென்றும் அறிந்திருந்தாயே. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 அப்படியானால் நீ என் பணத்தைக் காசுக்காரர் வசத்தில் போட்டுவைக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது நான் வந்து என்னுடையதை வட்டியோடே வாங்கிக்கொள்வேனே, என்று சொல்லி, Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 அவனிடத்திலிருக்கிற தாலந்தை எடுத்து, பத்துத் தாலந்துள்ளவனுக்குக் கொடுங்கள். Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 உள்ளவனெவனோ அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும், பரிபூரணமும் அடைவான்; இல்லாதவனிடத்திலிருந்து உள்ளதும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும். For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 பிரயோஜனமற்ற ஊழியக்காரனாகிய இவனைப் புறம்பான இருளிலே தள்ளிப்போடுங்கள்; அங்கே அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் உண்டாயிருக்கும் என்றான். And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

1 Appoluthu, paralokaraajyam thangal theevattikalaip pitiththukkonndu manavaalanukku ethirkonndupokap purappatta paththuk kannikaikalukku oppaayirukkum. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 Avarkalil ainthupaer puththiyullavarkalum, ainthupaer puththiyillaathavarkalumaayirunthaarkal. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 Puththiyillaathavarkal thangal theevattikalai eduththukkonnduponaarkal, ennnneyaiyo koodakkonndupokavillai. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 Puththiyullavarkal thangal theevattikalodungaூdath thangal paaththirangalil ennnneyaiyum konnduponaarkal. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 Manavaalan varath thaamathiththapothu avarkal ellaarum niththiraiήyakkamatainthu thoongivittarkal. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 Naduraaththiriyilae: itho manavaalan varukiraar, avarukku ethirkonndupokappurappadungal enkira saththam unndaayittaு. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Appoluthu anthak kannikaikal ellaarum elunthirunthu, thangal theevattikalai aayaththappaduththinaarkal. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 Puththiyillaathavarkal puththiyullavarkalai Nnokki: ungal ennnneyil engalukkuk konjangaொdungal, engal theevattikal annainthupokirathae entarkal. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 Puththiyullavarkal pirathiyuththaramaaka: appatiyalla, engalukkum ungalukkum pothaamaliraathapati, neengal virkiravarkalidaththir poy, ungalukkaaka vaangikkollungal entarkal. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 Appatiyae avarkal vaangap ponapothu manavaalan vanthuvittar; aayaththamaayirunthavarkal avarotae koodak kaliyaana veettirkul piravaesiththaarkal; kathavum ataikkappattathu. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Pinpu, mattak kannikaikalum vanthu: aanndavarae, aanndavarae engalukkuth thirakkavaenndum entarkal. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 Atharku avar: ungalai ariyaen entu meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn entar. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Manushakumaaran varum naalaiyaavathu naalikaiyaiyaavathu neengal ariyaathirukkirapatiyaal viliththirungal. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

14 Antiyum paralokaraajyam puraththaesaththukkup pirayaanamaayp pokira oru manushan than ooliyakkaararai alaiththu, than aasthiyai avarkal vasamaay oppukkoduththathupol irukkirathu. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 Avanavanutaiya thiramaikkuththakkathaaka, oruvanidaththil ainthu thaalanthum, oruvanidaththil iranndu thaalanthum, oruvanidaththil oru thaalanthum, koduththu, udanae pirayaanappattup ponaan. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Ainthu thaalanthai vaanginavan poy, avaikalaikkonndu viyaapaaram pannnni, vaeraு ainthu thaalanthaich sampaathiththaan. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 Appatiyae iranndu thaalanthai vaanginavanum, vaeraு iranndu thaalanthaich sampaathiththaan. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 Oru thaalanthai vaanginavan, poy, nilaththaith thonnti, than ejamaanutaiya panaththaip puthaiththu vaiththaan. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

19 Vekukaalamaanapinpu antha ooliyakkaararutaiya ejamaan thirumpivanthu, avarkalidaththil kanakkukkaettan. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 Appoluthu ainthu thaalanthai vaanginavan vaeraு ainthu thaalanthaik konnduvanthu: aanndavanae, ainthu thaalanthai ennidaththil oppuviththeerae; avaikalaikkonndu, itho vaeraு ainthu thaalanthaich sampaathiththaen entan. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 Avanutaiya ejamaan avanai Nnokki: nallathu, uththamamum unnmaiyumaana ooliyakkaaranae, konjaththilae unnmaiyaayirunthaay, anaekaththin mael unnai athikaariyaaka vaippaen, un ejamaanutaiya santhoshaththirkul piravaesi entan. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 Iranndu thaalanthai vaanginavanum vanthu: aanndavanae, iranndu thaalanthai ennidaththil oppuviththeerae; avaikalaikkonndu, itho vaeraு iranndu thaalanthaich sampaathiththaen entan. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 Avanutaiya ejamaan avanai Nnokki: nallathu, uththamamum unnmaiyumulla ooliyakkaaranae, konjaththilae unnmaiyaayirunthaay, anaekaththin mael unnai athikaariyaaka vaippaen; un ejamaanutaiya santhoshaththirkul piravaesi entan. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Oru thaalanthai vaanginavan vanthu: aanndavanae neer vithaikkaatha idaththil araுkkiravarum, thelikkaatha idaththil serkkiravarumaana katina iruthayamulla manushan entu arivaen. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 Aakaiyaal, naan payanthupoy, umathu thaalanthai nilaththil puthaiththu vaiththaen; itho, ummutaiyathai vaangikkollum entan. And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 Avanutaiya ejamaan pirathiyuththaramaaka: pollaathavanum sompanumaana ooliyakkaaranae, naan vithaikkaatha idaththil araுkkiravanentum, thelikkaatha idaththil serkkiravanentum arinthirunthaayae. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Appatiyaanaal nee en panaththaik kaasukkaarar vasaththil pottuvaikkavaenntiyathaayirunthathu; appoluthu naan vanthu ennutaiyathai vattiyotae vaangikkolvaenae, entu solli, Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Avanidaththilirukkira thaalanthai eduththu, paththuth thaalanthullavanukkuk kodungal. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 Ullavanevano avanukkuk kodukkappadum, paripooranamum ataivaan; illaathavanidaththilirunthu ullathum eduththukkollappadum. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 Pirayojanamatta ooliyakkaaranaakiya ivanaip purampaana irulilae thallippodungal; angae alukaiyum parkatippum unndaayirukkum entan. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
