1 பரலோகராஜ்யம் வீட்டெஜமானாகிய ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அவன் தன் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்கு வேலையாட்களை அமர்த்த அதிகாலையிலே புறப்பட்டான். For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 வேலையாட்களுடன் நாளொன்றுக்கு ஒரு பணம் கூலிபேசி, அவர்களைத் தன் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்கு அனுப்பினான். And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3 மூன்றாம் மணி வேளையிலும் அவன் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கடைத்தெருவிலே சும்மா நிற்கிற வேறு சிலரைக்கண்டு: And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4 நீங்களும் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்குப் போங்கள்; நியாயமானபடி உங்களுக்கு கூலி கொடுப்பேன் என்றான்; அவர்களும் போனார்கள். And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5 மறுபடியும், ஆறாம் ஒன்பதாம் மணிவேளையிலும் அவன் போய் அப்படியே செய்தான். Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6 பதினோராம் மணிவேளையிலும் அவன்போய், சும்மா நிற்கிற வேறு சிலரைக்கண்டு: நீங்கள் பகல் முழுவதும் இங்கே சும்மா நிற்கிறதென்ன என்று கேட்டான். And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஒருவனும் எங்களுக்கு வேலையிடவில்லை என்றார்கள். அவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்களும் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்குப் போங்கள். நியாயமானபடி கூலி பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள் என்றான். They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8 சாயங்காலத்தில், திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்கு எஜமான் தன் காரியக்காரனை நோக்கி: நீ வேலையாட்களை அழைத்து, பிந்திவந்தவர்கள் தொடங்கி முந்திவர்கள்வரைக்கும் அவர்களுக்குக் கூலி கொடு என்றான். So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9 அப்பொழுது பதினோராம் மணிவேளையில் வேலையமர்த்தப்பட்டவர்கள் வந்து ஆளுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு பணம் வாங்கினார்கள். And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10 முந்தி அமர்த்தப்பட்டவர்கள் வந்து, தங்களுக்கு அதிக கூலி கிடைக்கும் என்று எண்ணினார்கள், அவர்களும் ஆளுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு பணம் வாங்கினார்கள். But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11 வாங்கிக்கொண்டு வீட்டெஜமானை நோக்கி: And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 பிந்திவந்தவர்களாகிய இவர்கள் ஒரு மணி நேரமாத்திரம் வேலை செய்தார்கள்; பகலின் கஷ்டத்தையும் வெயிலின் உஷ்ணத்தையும் சகித்த எங்களுக்கு இவர்களைச் சமமாக்கினீரே என்று முறுமுறுத்தார்கள். Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 அவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு அவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: சிநேகிதனே, நான் உனக்கு அநியாயஞ்செய்யவில்லை; நீ என்னிடத்தில் ஒரு பணத்துக்கு சம்மதிக்கவில்லையா? But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 உன்னுடையதை நீ வாங்கிக்கொண்டு போ, உனக்குக் கொடுத்தது போலப் பிந்தி வந்தவனாகிய இவனுக்கும் கொடுப்பது என்னுடைய இஷ்டம். Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15 என்னுடையதை என் இஷ்டப்படிச் செய்ய எனக்கு அதிகாரமில்லையா? நான் தயாளனாயிருக்கிறபடியால், நீ வன்கண்ணனாயிருக்கலாமா என்றான். Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16 இவ்விதமாக முந்தினோர் பிந்தினோராயும், பிந்தினோர் முந்தினோராயும் இருப்பார்கள்; அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அநேகர், தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களோ சிலர் என்றார். So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

17 இயேசு எருசலேமுக்குப்போகும்போது, வழியிலே பன்னிரண்டு சீஷரையும் தனியே அழைத்து: And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

18 இதோ, எருசலேமுக்குப்போகிறோம்; மனுஷகுமாரன் பிரதான ஆசாரியரிடத்திலும் வேதபாரகரிடத்திலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்; அவர்கள் அவரை மரண ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்த்து, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19 அவரைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணவும், வாரினால் அடிக்கவும், சிலுவையில் அறையவும் புறஜாதியாரிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்கள்; ஆகிலும் மூன்றாம் நாளிலே உயிரோடே எழுந்திருப்பார் என்றார். And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

20 அப்பொழுது செபதெயுவின் குமாரருடைய தாய் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து அவரைப்பணிந்து கொண்டு: உம்மிடத்தில் ஒரு விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணவேண்டும் என்றாள். Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 அவர் அவளை நோக்கி: உனக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவள்: உம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்திலே என் குமாரராகிய இவ்விரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் உமது வலது பாரிசத்திலும், ஒருவன் உமது இடதுபாரிசத்திலும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும்படி அருள் செய்யவேண்டும் என்றாள். And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22 இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறது இன்னது என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியவில்லை. நான் குடிக்கும் பாத்திரத்தில் நீங்கள் குடிக்கவும், நான் பெறும் ஸ்நானத்தை நீங்கள் பெறவும் கூடுமா என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள் கூடும் என்றார்கள். But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23 அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: என் பாத்திரத்தில் நீங்கள் குடிப்பீர்கள், நான் பெறும் ஸ்நானத்தையும் நீங்கள் பெறுவீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் என் வலது பாரிசத்திலும் இடது பாரிசத்திலும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும்படி என் பிதாவினால் எவர்களுக்கு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கிறதோ அவர்களுக்கேயல்லாமல், மற்றொருவருக்கும் அதை அருளுவது என் காரியமல்ல என்றார். And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24 மற்ற பத்துப்பேரும் அதைக்கேட்டு, அந்த இரண்டு சகோதரர் பேரிலும் எரிச்சலானார்கள். And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களை கிட்டவரச்சƠί்து: புறஜாதியாருடைய அதிகξரிகள் அவர்களை இறுமாப்பாய் ஆளுகிறார்கள் என்றும், பெரியவர்கள் அவர்கள் மேல் கடினமாய் அதிகாரஞ்செலுத்துகிறார்கள் என்றும், நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 உங்களுக்குள்ளே அப்படி இருக்கலாகாது; உங்களில் எவனாகிலும் பெரியவனாயிருக்க விரும்பினால், அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைக்காரனாயிருக்கக்கடவன். But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 உங்களில் எவனாகிலும் முதன்மையானவனாயிருக்க விரும்பினால், அவன் உங்களுக்கு ஊழியக்காரனாயிருக்கக்கடவன். And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 அப்படியே, மனுஷகுமாரனும் ஊழியங்கொள்ளும்படி வராமல், ஊழியஞ்செய்யவும், அநேகரை மீட்கும் பொருளாகத் தம்முடைய ஜீவனைக்கொடுக்கவும் வந்தார் என்றார். Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29 அவர்கள் எரிகோவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போகையில், திரளான ஜனங்கள் அவருக்குப் பின் சென்றார்கள். And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30 அப்பொழுது வழியருகே உட்கார்ந்திருந்த இரண்டு குருடர், இயேசு அவ்வழியே வருகிறார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டு: ஆண்டவரே, தாவீதின் குமாரனே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று கூப்பிட்டார்கள். And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

31 அவர்கள் பேசாதிருக்கும்படி அவர்களை ஜனங்கள் அதட்டினார்கள். அவர்களோ: தாவீதின் குமாரனே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று அதிகமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டார்கள். And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

32 இயேசு நின்று, அவர்களைத் தம்மிடத்தில் அழைத்து: நான் உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்றிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார். And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஆண்டவரே, எங்கள் கண்களைத் திறக்கவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

1 Paralokaraajyam veettejamaanaakiya oru manushanukku oppaayirukkirathu; avan than thiraatchaththottaththukku vaelaiyaatkalai amarththa athikaalaiyilae purappattan. For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 Vaelaiyaatkaludan naalontukku oru panam koolipaesi, avarkalaith than thiraatchaththottaththukku anuppinaan. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3 Moontam manni vaelaiyilum avan purappattuppoy, kataiththeruvilae summaa nirkira vaeraு silaraikkanndu: And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4 Neengalum thiraatchaththottaththukkup pongal; niyaayamaanapati ungalukku kooli koduppaen entan; avarkalum ponaarkal. And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5 Maraுpatiyum, aaraam onpathaam mannivaelaiyilum avan poy appatiyae seythaan. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6 Pathinoraam mannivaelaiyilum avanpoy, summaa nirkira vaeraு silaraikkanndu: neengal pakal muluvathum ingae summaa nirkirathenna entu kaettan. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 Atharku avarkal: oruvanum engalukku vaelaiyidavillai entarkal. Avan avarkalai Nnokki: neengalum thiraatchaththottaththukkup pongal. Niyaayamaanapati kooli pettaுkkolveerkal entan. They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8 Saayangaalaththil, thiraatchaththottaththukku ejamaan than kaariyakkaaranai Nnokki: nee vaelaiyaatkalai alaiththu, pinthivanthavarkal thodangi munthivarkalvaraikkum avarkalukkuk kooli kodu entan. So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9 Appoluthu pathinoraam mannivaelaiyil vaelaiyamarththappattavarkal vanthu aalukku ovvoru panam vaanginaarkal. And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10 Munthi amarththappattavarkal vanthu, thangalukku athika kooli kitaikkum entu ennnninaarkal, avarkalum aalukku ovvoru panam vaanginaarkal. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11 Vaangikkonndu veettejamaanai Nnokki: And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 Pinthivanthavarkalaakiya ivarkal oru manni naeramaaththiram vaelai seythaarkal; pakalin kashdaththaiyum veyilin ushnaththaiyum sakiththa engalukku ivarkalaich samamaakkineerae entu muraுmuraுththaarkal. Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 Avarkalil oruvanukku avan pirathiyuththaramaaka: sinaekithanae, naan unakku aniyaayanjaெyyavillai; nee ennidaththil oru panaththukku sammathikkavillaiyaa? But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 Unnutaiyathai nee vaangikkonndu po, unakkuk koduththathu polap pinthi vanthavanaakiya ivanukkum koduppathu ennutaiya ishdam. Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15 Ennutaiyathai en ishdappatich seyya enakku athikaaramillaiyaa? Naan thayaalanaayirukkirapatiyaal, nee vankannnanaayirukkalaamaa entan. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16 Ivvithamaaka munthinor pinthinoraayum, pinthinor munthinoraayum iruppaarkal; alaikkappattavarkal anaekar, therinthukollappattavarkalo silar entar. So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

17 Yesu erusalaemukkuppokumpothu, valiyilae panniranndu seesharaiyum thaniyae alaiththu: And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

18 Itho, erusalaemukkuppokirom; manushakumaaran pirathaana aasaariyaridaththilum vaethapaarakaridaththilum oppukkodukkappaduvaar; avarkal avarai marana aakkinaikkullaakath theerththu, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19 Avaraip pariyaasampannnavum, vaarinaal atikkavum, siluvaiyil araiyavum purajaathiyaaridaththil oppukkoduppaarkal; aakilum moontam naalilae uyirotae elunthiruppaar entar. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

20 Appoluthu sepatheyuvin kumaararutaiya thaay avaridaththil vanthu avaraippanninthu konndu: ummidaththil oru vinnnappam pannnavaenndum ental. Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 Avar avalai Nnokki: unakku enna vaenndum entu kaettar. Atharku aval: ummutaiya raajyaththilae en kumaararaakiya ivviranndupaeril oruvan umathu valathu paarisaththilum, oruvan umathu idathupaarisaththilum utkaarnthirukkumpati arul seyyavaenndum ental. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22 Yesu pirathiyuththaramaaka: neengal kaettukkollukirathu innathu entu ungalukkuth theriyavillai. Naan kutikkum paaththiraththil neengal kutikkavum, naan peraுm snaanaththai neengal peravum koodumaa entar. Atharku avarkal koodum entarkal. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. 23 Avar avarkalai Nnokki: en paaththiraththil neengal kutippeerkal, naan peraுm snaanaththaiyum neengal peraுveerkal; aanaalum en valathu paarisaththilum idathu paarisaththilum utkaarnthirukkumpati en pithaavinaal evarkalukku aayaththampannnappattirukkiratho avarkalukkaeyallaamal, mattaொruvarukkum athai aruluvathu en kaariyamalla entar. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24 Matta paththuppaerum athaikkaettu, antha iranndu sakotharar paerilum erichchalaanaarkal. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 Appoluthu Yesu avarkalai kittavarachchaƠί்thu: purajaathiyaarutaiya athikaξrikal avarkalai iraுmaappaay aalukiraarkal entum, periyavarkal avarkal mael katinamaay athikaaranjaெluththukiraarkal entum, neengal arinthirukkireerkal. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 Ungalukkullae appati irukkalaakaathu; ungalil evanaakilum periyavanaayirukka virumpinaal, avan ungalukkup pannivitaikkaaranaayirukkakkadavan. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 Ungalil evanaakilum muthanmaiyaanavanaayirukka virumpinaal, avan ungalukku ooliyakkaaranaayirukkakkadavan. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 Appatiyae, manushakumaaranum ooliyangaொllumpati varaamal, ooliyanjaெyyavum, anaekarai meetkum porulaakath thammutaiya jeevanaikkodukkavum vanthaar entar. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29 Avarkal erikovilirunthu purappattup pokaiyil, thiralaana janangal avarukkup pin sentarkal. And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30 Appoluthu valiyarukae utkaarnthiruntha iranndu kurudar, Yesu avvaliyae varukiraar entu kaelvippattu: aanndavarae, thaaveethin kumaaranae, engalukku irangum entu kooppittarkal. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

31 Avarkal paesaathirukkumpati avarkalai janangal athattinaarkal. Avarkalo: thaaveethin kumaaranae, engalukku irangum entu athikamaayk kooppittarkal. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

32 Yesu nintu, avarkalaith thammidaththil alaiththu: naan ungalukku enna seyyavaenndum entirukkireerkal entar. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33 Atharku avarkal: aanndavarae, engal kannkalaith thirakkavaenndum entarkal. They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
