பிந்திவந்தவர்களாகிய இவர்கள் ஒரு மணி நேரமாத்திரம் வேலை செய்தார்கள்; பகலின் கஷ்டத்தையும் வெயிலின் உஷ்ணத்தையும் சகித்த எங்களுக்கு இவர்களைச் சமமாக்கினீரே என்று முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள், ‘கடைசியாக வேலைக்கு வந்தவர்கள், ஒரு மணி நேரமே வேலை செய்தார்கள். ஆனால், நாங்கள் நாள் முழுவதும் வெயிலில் கடுமையாக உழைத்துள்ளோம். ஆனால், எங்களுக்குச் சமமாக அவர்களுக்கும் கூலி கொடுத்துள்ளீர்கள்’ என்று புகார் கூறினார்கள்.
