என் பெலனும், என் கோட்டையும், நெருக்கப்படுகிற நாளில் என் அடைக்கலமுமாகிய கர்த்தாவே, புறஜாதிகள் பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலிருந்து உம்மிடத்தில் வந்து: மெய்யாகவே, எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் பிரயோஜனமில்லாத பொய்யையும் மாயையையும் கைப்பற்றினார்கள் என்பார்கள்.

கர்த்தாவே, நீரே எனது பலமும் காவலும்! நீரே துன்பக்காலத்தில் நான் ஓடி வரத்தக்கப் பாதுகாப்பான இடம். உலகம் முழுவதிலுமிருந்து நாடுகள் உம்மிடம் வரும். அவர்கள், “எங்கள் தந்தையர்கள் அந்நிய தெய்வங்களை வைத்திருந்தனர். அவர்கள் அந்தப் பயனற்ற விக்கிரகங்களை தொழுதுகொண்டனர். ஆனால் அந்த விக்கிரகங்கள் அவர்களுக்குக் கொஞ்சமும் உதவவில்லை” என்பார்கள்.
