1 பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: நீர் இங்கே எனக்கு ஏழு பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டி, ஏழு காளைகளையும் ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் இங்கே எனக்கு ஆயத்தப்படுத்தும் என்றான். And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

2 பிலேயாம் சொன்னபடியே பாலாக் செய்தான்; பாலாகும் பிலேயாமும் ஒவ்வொரு பீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டார்கள். And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

3 பின்பு பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையில் நில்லும், நான் போய்வருகிறேன்; கர்த்தர் வந்து என்னைச் சந்திக்கிறதாயிருக்கும்; அவர் எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவதை உமக்கு அறிவிப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி, ஒரு மேட்டின்மேல் ஏறினான். And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

4 தேவன் பிலேயாமைச் சந்தித்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அவரை நோக்கி: நான் ஏழு பலிபீடங்களை ஆயத்தம் பண்ணி, ஒவ்வொரு பலிபீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டேன் என்றான். And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

5 கர்த்தர் பிலேயாமின் வாயிலே வாக்கு அருளி: நீ பாலாகினிடத்தில் திரும்பிப்போய், இவ்விதமாய்ச் சொல்லக்கடவாய் என்றார். And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

6 அவனிடத்துக்கு அவன் திரும்பிபோனான்; பாலாக் மோவாபுடைய சகல பிரபுக்களோடுங்கூடத் தன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையிலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான். And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

7 அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் வாக்கியத்தை எடுத்துரைத்து: மோவாபின் ராஜாவாகிய பாலாக் என்னைக் கிழக்கு மலைகளிலுள்ள ஆராமிலிருந்து வரவழைத்து: நீ வந்து எனக்காக யாக்கோபைச் சபிக்கவேண்டும்; நீ வந்து இஸ்ரவேலை வெறுத்து விடவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னான். And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

8 தேவன் சபிக்காதவனை நான் சபிப்பதெப்படி? கர்த்தர் வெறுக்காதவனை நான் வெறுப்பதெப்படி? How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

9 கன்மலையுச்சியிலிருந்து நான் அவனைக் கண்டு, குன்றுகளிலிருந்து அவனைப் பார்க்கிறேன்; அந்த ஜனங்கள் ஜாதிகளோடே கலவாமல் தனியே வாசமாயிருப்பார்கள். For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

10 யாக்கோபின் தூளை எண்ணத்தக்கவன் யார்? இஸ்ரவேலின் காற்பங்கை எண்ணுகிறவன் யார்? நீதிமான் மரிப்பது போல் நான் மரிப்பேனாக, என் முடிவு அவன் முடிவுபோல் இருப்பதாக என்றான். Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

11 அப்பொழுது பாலாக் பிலேயாமை நோக்கி: நீர் எனக்கு என்னசெய்தீர்; என் சத்துருக்களைச் சபிக்கும்படி உம்மை அழைப்பித்தேன்; நீர் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவே ஆசீர்வதித்தீர் என்றான். And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.

12 அதற்கு அவன்: கர்த்தர் என் வாயில் அருளினதையே சொல்வது என் கடமையல்லவா என்றான். And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

13 பின்பு பாலாக் அவனை நோக்கி: நீர் அவர்களைப் பார்க்கத்தக்க வேறொரு இடத்திற்கு என்னோடேகூட வாரும்; அங்கே அவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் பாராமல், அவர்களுடைய கடைசிப் பாளயத்தைமாத்திரம் பார்ப்பீர்; அங்கேயிருந்து எனக்காக அவர்களைச் சபிக்கவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி, And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

14 அவனைப் பிஸ்காவின் கொடுமுடியில் இருக்கிற சோப்பீமீன் வெளியிலே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், ஏழு பலி பீடங்களைக் கட்டி, ஒவ்வொரு பீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டான். And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

15 அப்பொழுது பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: இங்கே உம்முடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையில் நில்லும்; நான் அங்கே போய்க் கர்த்தரைச் சந்தித்துவருகிறேன் என்றான். And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.

16 கர்த்தர் பிலேயாமைச் சந்தித்து, அவன் வாயிலே வசனத்தை அருளி: நீ பாலாகினிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிபோய், இவ்விதமாய்ச் சொல்லக்கடவாய் என்றார். And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

17 அவனிடத்திற்கு அவன் வருகிறபோது, அவன் மோவாபின் பிரபுக்களோடுங்கூடத் தன்னுடைய சர்வாங்கதகனபலியண்டையிலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான்; பாலாக் அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்று கேட்டான். And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

18 அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் வாக்கியத்தை எடுத்துரைத்து: பாலாகே, எழுந்திருந்து கேளும்; சிப்போரின் குமாரனே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடும். And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

19 பொய் சொல்ல தேவன் ஒரு மனிதன் அல்ல; மனம்மாற அவர் ஒரு மனுபுத்திரனும் அல்ல; அவர் சொல்லியும் செய்யாதிருப்பாரா? அவர் வசனித்தும் நிறைவேற்றாதிருப்பாரா? God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 இதோ, ஆசீர்வதிக்கக் கட்டளைபெற்றேன்; அவர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார், அதை நான் திருப்பக் கூடாது. Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21 அவர் யாக்கோபிலே அக்கிரமத்தைக் காண்கிறதும் இல்லை, இஸ்ரவேலிலே குற்றம் பார்க்கிறதும் இல்லை; அவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களோடே இருக்கிறார்; ராஜாவின் ஜயகெம்பீரம் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே இருக்கிறது. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

22 தேவன் அவர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; காண்டாமிருகத்துக்கொத்த பெலன் அவர்களுக்கு உண்டு. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

23 யாக்கோபுக்கு விரோதமான மந்திரவாதம் இல்லை, இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமான குறிசொல்லுதலும் இல்லை; தேவன் என்னென்ன செய்தார் என்று கொஞ்சக் காலத்திலே யாக்கோபையும் இஸ்ரவேலையும் குறித்துச் சொல்லப்படும். Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

24 அந்த ஜனம் துஷ்ட சிங்கம்போல எழும்பும், பால சிங்கம்போல நிமிர்ந்து நிற்கும்; அது தான் பிடித்த இரையைப் பட்சித்து, வெட்டுண்டவர்களின் இரத்தத்தைக் குடிக்குமட்டும் படுத்துக்கொள்வதில்லை என்றான். Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

25 அப்பொழுது பாலாக் பிலேயாமை நோக்கி: நீர் அவர்களைச் சபிக்கவும் வேண்டாம், அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவும் வேண்டாம் என்றான். And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

26 அதற்குப் பிலேயாம் பாலாகைப் பார்த்து: கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறபடியெல்லாம் செய்வேன் என்று உம்மோடே நான் சொல்லவில்லையா என்றான். But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

27 அப்பொழுது பாலாக் பிலேயாமை நோக்கி: வாரும் வேறொரு இடத்திற்கு உம்மை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகிறேன்; நீர் அங்கேயிருந்தாவது எனக்காக அவர்களைச் சபிக்கிறது தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கும் என்று சொல்லி, And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

28 அவனை எஷிமோனுக்கு எதிராயிருக்கிற பேயோரின் கொடுமுடிக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போனான். And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.

29 அப்பொழுது பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: இங்கே எனக்கு ஏழு பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டி, இங்கே எனக்கு ஏழு காளைகளையும் ஏழு ஆட்டுக் கடாக்களையும் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும் என்றான். And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

30 பிலேயாம் சொன்னபடி பாலாக் செய்து, ஒவ்வொரு பீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டான். And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

1 Pilaeyaam paalaakai Nnokki: neer ingae enakku aelu palipeedangalaik katti, aelu kaalaikalaiyum aelu aattukkadaakkalaiyum ingae enakku aayaththappaduththum entan. And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

2 Pilaeyaam sonnapatiyae paalaak seythaan; paalaakum pilaeyaamum ovvoru peedaththil ovvoru kaalaiyaiyum ovvoru aattukkadaavaiyum paliyittarkal. And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

3 Pinpu pilaeyaam paalaakai Nnokki: ummutaiya sarvaanga thakanapaliyanntaiyil nillum, naan poyvarukiraேn; Karththar vanthu ennaich santhikkirathaayirukkum; avar enakku velippaduththuvathai umakku arivippaen entu solli, oru maettinmael aerinaan. And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

4 Dhevan pilaeyaamaich santhiththaar; appoluthu avan avarai Nnokki: naan aelu palipeedangalai aayaththam pannnni, ovvoru palipeedaththil ovvoru kaalaiyaiyum ovvoru aattukkadaavaiyum paliyittaேn entan. And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

5 Karththar pilaeyaamin vaayilae vaakku aruli: nee paalaakinidaththil thirumpippoy, ivvithamaaych sollakkadavaay entar. And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

6 Avanidaththukku avan thirumpiponaan; paalaak movaaputaiya sakala pirapukkalodungaூdath than sarvaanga thakanapaliyanntaiyilae nintukonntirunthaan. And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

7 Appoluthu avan than vaakkiyaththai eduththuraiththu: movaapin raajaavaakiya paalaak ennaik kilakku malaikalilulla aaraamilirunthu varavalaiththu: nee vanthu enakkaaka yaakkopaich sapikkavaenndum; nee vanthu isravaelai veraுththu vidavaenndum entu sonnaan. And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

8 Dhevan sapikkaathavanai naan sapippatheppati? Karththar veraுkkaathavanai naan veraுppatheppati? How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

9 Kanmalaiyuchchiyilirunthu naan avanaik kanndu, kuntukalilirunthu avanaip paarkkiraேn; antha janangal jaathikalotae kalavaamal thaniyae vaasamaayiruppaarkal. 10 Yaakkopin thoolai ennnaththakkavan yaar? Isravaelin kaarpangai ennnukiravan yaar? Neethimaan marippathu pol naan marippaenaaka, en mutivu avan mutivupol iruppathaaka entan. Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

11 Appoluthu paalaak pilaeyaamai Nnokki: neer enakku ennaseytheer; en saththurukkalaich sapikkumpati ummai alaippiththaen; neer avarkalai aaseervathikkavae aaseervathiththeer entan. And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.

12 Atharku avan: Karththar en vaayil arulinathaiyae solvathu en kadamaiyallavaa entan. And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

13 Pinpu paalaak avanai Nnokki: neer avarkalaip paarkkaththakka vaeroru idaththirku ennotaekooda vaarum; angae avarkal ellaaraiyum paaraamal, avarkalutaiya kataisip paalayaththaimaaththiram paarppeer; angaeyirunthu enakkaaka avarkalaich sapikkavaenndum entu solli, And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

14 Avanaip piskaavin kodumutiyil irukkira soppeemeen veliyilae alaiththukkonndupoy, aelu pali peedangalaik katti, ovvoru peedaththil ovvoru kaalaiyaiyum ovvoru aattukkadaavaiyum paliyittan. And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

15 Appoluthu pilaeyaam paalaakai Nnokki: ingae ummutaiya sarvaanga thakanapaliyanntaiyil nillum; naan angae poyk karththaraich santhiththuvarukiraேn entan. And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.

16 Karththar pilaeyaamaich santhiththu, avan vaayilae vasanaththai aruli: nee paalaakinidaththirkuth thirumpipoy, ivvithamaaych sollakkadavaay entar. And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

17 Avanidaththirku avan varukirapothu, avan movaapin pirapukkalodungaூdath thannutaiya sarvaangathakanapaliyanntaiyilae nintukonntirunthaan; paalaak avanai Nnokki: Karththar enna sonnaar entu kaettan. And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

18 Appoluthu avan than vaakkiyaththai eduththuraiththu: paalaakae, elunthirunthu kaelum; sipporin kumaaranae, enakkuch sevikodum. And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

19 Poy solla Dhevan oru manithan alla; manammaara avar oru manupuththiranum alla; avar solliyum seyyaathiruppaaraa? Avar vasaniththum niraivaettaாthiruppaaraa? God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Itho, aaseervathikkak kattalaipetten; avar aaseervathikkiraar, athai naan thiruppak koodaathu. Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21 Avar yaakkopilae akkiramaththaik kaannkirathum illai, isravaelilae kuttam paarkkirathum illai; avarkalutaiya thaevanaakiya Karththar avarkalotae irukkiraar; raajaavin jayakempeeram avarkalukkullae irukkirathu. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

22 Dhevan avarkalai ekipthilirunthu purappadappannnninaar; kaanndaamirukaththukkoththa pelan avarkalukku unndu. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

23 Yaakkopukku virothamaana manthiravaatham illai, isravaelukku virothamaana kurisolluthalum illai; Dhevan ennenna seythaar entu konjak kaalaththilae yaakkopaiyum isravaelaiyum kuriththuch sollappadum. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

24 Antha janam thushda singampola elumpum, paala singampola nimirnthu nirkum; athu thaan pitiththa iraiyaip patchiththu, vettunndavarkalin iraththaththaik kutikkumattum paduththukkolvathillai entan. Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

25 Appoluthu paalaak pilaeyaamai Nnokki: neer avarkalaich sapikkavum vaenndaam, avarkalai aaseervathikkavum vaenndaam entan. And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

26 Atharkup pilaeyaam paalaakaip paarththu: Karththar sollukirapatiyellaam seyvaen entu ummotae naan sollavillaiyaa entan. But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

27 Appoluthu paalaak pilaeyaamai Nnokki: vaarum vaeroru idaththirku ummai alaiththukkonndu pokiraேn; neer angaeyirunthaavathu enakkaaka avarkalaich sapikkirathu thaevanukkup piriyamaayirukkum entu solli, And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

28 Avanai eshimonukku ethiraayirukkira paeyorin kodumutikku alaiththukkonndu ponaan. And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
