அவனிடத்திற்கு அவன் வருகிறபோது, அவன் மோவாபின் பிரபுக்களோடுங்கூடத் தன்னுடைய சர்வாங்கதகனபலியண்டையிலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான்; பாலாக் அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்று கேட்டான்.

பிலேயாம் பாலாக்கிடம் திரும்பிப் போனான். அங்கே பலிபீடத்தின் அருகிலேயே பாலாக் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான். அவனோடு, மோவாபின் தலைவர்களும் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தனர். பிலேயாம் வருவதைப் பார்த்து பாலாக், “கர்த்தர் என்ன சொன்னார்?” எனக் கேட்டான்.
