“அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரனிடம் மேலும் ஒரே ஒரு ஆளே இருந்தான். அவன்தான் அவனது மகன். அவன் தன் மகனைப் பெரிதும் நேசித்தான். எனினும் அவன் மகனை விவசாயிகளிடம் அனுப்ப முடிவு செய்தான். கடைசி ஆளாகத் தன் மகனை மட்டுமே அனுப்ப முடியும் என்று எண்ணினான். ‘என் மகனையாவது விவாசாயிகள் மதிப்பார்கள்’ என்று நம்பினான்.
