1 எலிசா தான் உயிர்ப்பித்த பிள்ளையின் தாயாகிய ஸ்திரீயை நோக்கி: நீ உன் வீட்டாரோடுங்கூட எழுந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போய் எங்கேயாகிலும் சஞ்சரி: கர்த்தர் பஞ்சத்தை வருவிப்பார்; அது ஏழுவருஷம் தேசத்தில் இருக்கும் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தான். Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

2 அந்த ஸ்திரீ எழுந்து, தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படி செய்து, தன் வீட்டாரோடுங்கூடப் புறப்பட்டு, பெலிஸ்தரின் தேசத்தில் போய், ஏழுவருஷம் சஞ்சரித்தாள். And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

3 ஏழுவருஷம் சென்றபின்பு, அவள் பெலிஸ்தரின் தேசத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்ப வந்து, தன் வீட்டுக்காகவும் தன் வயலுக்காகவும் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் முறையிடும்படி போனாள். And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

4 அந்நேரத்தில் ராஜா, தேவனுடைய மனுஷனின் வேலைக்காரனாயிருந்த கேயாசியுடனே பேசி: எலிசா செய்த அதிசயங்களையெல்லாம் நீ எனக்கு விவரமாய்ச் சொல் என்றான். And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

5 செத்துப் போனவனை உயிர்ப்பித்தார் என்பதை அவன் ராஜாவுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறபோது, இதோ, அவன் உயிர்ப்பித்த பிள்ளையின் தாயாகிய அந்த ஸ்திரீ வந்து, தன் வீட்டுக்காகவும் தன் வயலுக்காகவும் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் முறையிட்டாள்; அப்பொழுது கேயாசி: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனே, இவள்தான் அந்த ஸ்திரீ; எலிசா உயிர்ப்பித்த இவளுடைய குமாரன் இவன் தான் என்றான். And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

6 ராஜா அந்த ஸ்திரீயைக் கேட்டதற்கு, அவள்: அதை அவனுக்கு விவரித்துச் சொன்னாள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா அவளுக்கு ஒரு பிரதானியை நியமித்து, அவளுக்கு உண்டானது எல்லாவற்றையும், அவள் தேசத்தை விட்டுப்போன நாள் முதல் இதுவரைக்கும் உண்டான அந்த வயலின் வருமானம் அனைத்தையும் அவளுக்குக் கிடைக்கும்படி செய் என்றான். And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

7 சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பெனாதாத் வியாதியாயிருந்தான்; எலிசா தமஸ்குவுக்கு வந்தான்; தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் இவ்விடத்தில் வந்திருக்கிறான் என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டபோது, And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

8 ராஜா ஆசகேலை நோக்கி: நீ உன் கையிலே ஒரு காணிக்கையை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு, தேவனுடைய மனுஷனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், நான் இந்த வியாதி நீங்கிப் பிழைப்பேனா என்று அவனைக் கொண்டு கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கச் சொன்னான். And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

9 ஆசகேல் தமஸ்குவின் சகல உச்சிதங்களிலும் நாற்பது ஒட்டகங்களின் சுமையான காணிக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு போய், அவனுக்கு முன்பாக நின்று, சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பெனாதாத் என்னும் உம்முடைய குமாரன் என்னை உம்மிடத்தில் அனுப்பி, இந்த வியாதி நீங்கிப் பிழைப்பேனா என்று கேட்கச்சொன்னார் என்றான். So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

10 எலிசா அவனை நோக்கி: நீ போய், வியாதி நீங்கிப் பிழைப்பீர் என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லும்; ஆனாலும் அவன் சாகவே சாவான் என்பதைக் கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் காண்பித்தார் என்றான். And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath showed me that he shall surely die.

11 பின்பு தேவனுடைய மனுஷன்: தன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பாமல் அவன் சலித்துப்போகுமட்டும் அவனை நோக்கிக் கொண்டே அழுதான். And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

12 அப்பொழுது ஆசகேல்: என் ஆண்டவன் அழுகிறது என்ன என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன்: நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் செய்யும் தீங்கை நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறபடியினால் அழுகிறேன்; நீ அவர்கள் கோட்டைகளை அக்கினிக்கு இரையாக்கி, அவர்கள் வாலிபரைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்று, அவர்கள் குழந்தைகளைத் தரையோடே மோதி, அவர்கள் கர்ப்பவதிகளைக் கீறிப்போடுவாய் என்றான். And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

13 அப்பொழுது ஆசகேல்: இத்தனை பெரிய காரியத்தைச் செய்ய நாயாகிய உமது அடியான் எம்மாத்திரம் என்றான். அதற்கு எலிசா: நீ சீரியாவின்மேல் ராஜாவாவாய் என்பதைக் கர்த்தர் எனக்குத் தெரிவித்தார் என்றான். And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

14 இவன் எலிசாவைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, தன் ஆண்டவனிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, அவன்: எலிசா உனக்கு என்ன சொன்னான் என்று கேட்டதற்கு; இவன் நீர் வியாதி நீங்கிப் பிழைப்பீர் என்று எனக்குச் சொன்னான் என்று சொல்லி, So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

15 மறுநாளிலே ஒரு சமுக்காளத்தை எடுத்து, தண்ணீரிலே தோய்த்து அவன் முகத்தின்மேல் விரித்தான்; அதினால் அவன் செத்துப்போனான்; ஆசகேல் அவனுக்குப் பதிலாய் ராஜாவானான். And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

16 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாயின் குமாரன் யோராமுடைய ஐந்தாம் வருஷத்தில், யோசபாத் யூதாவிலே இன்னும் ராஜாவாயிருக்கையில் யோசபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யோராம் என்னும் யூதாவின் ராஜா ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணத் துவக்கினான். And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

17 அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது முப்பத்திரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, எட்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் ராஜ்யபாரம் பண்ணினான். Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

18 அவன் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழியிலே நடந்து, ஆகாபின் வீட்டார் செய்ததுபோலச் செய்தான்; ஆகாபின் குமாரத்தி அவனுக்கு மனைவியாயிருந்தாள்; அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான். And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

19 கர்த்தர்: உன் குமாரருக்குள்ளே எந்நாளும் ஒரு விளக்கை உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்று தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்னதின்படியே, அவனிமித்தம் அவர் யூதாவை முற்றிலும் கெடுக்கவில்லை. Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

20 அவன் நாட்களில் யூதாவுடைய கையின்கீழிருந்த ஏதோமியர் கலகம் பண்ணி, தங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜாவை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்டார்கள். In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

21 அதினாலே யோராம் சகல இரதங்களோடுங்கூடச் சாயீருக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப் போனான்; அவன் இராத்திரியில் எழுந்திருந்து, தன்னை வளைந்துகொண்ட ஏதோமியரையும் இரதங்களின் தலைவரையும் முறிய அடித்தபோது, ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் கூடாரங்களுக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள். So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

22 அப்படியே யூதாவுடைய கையின் கீழிருந்த ஏதோமியர், இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல, கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அக்காலத்தில் தானே லிப்னா பட்டணத்தாரும் கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள். Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

23 யோராமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது. And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

24 யோராம் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்து, தன் பிதாக்களிடத்திலே தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவனுக்குப் பதிலாக அவன் குமாரனாகிய அகசியா ராஜாவானான். And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

25 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாபின் குமாரன் யோராமுடைய பன்னிரண்டாம் வருஷத்திலே, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோராமின் குமாரன் அகசியா ராஜாவானான். In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.

26 அகசியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது, இருபத்திரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, ஒரே வருஷம் எருசலேமில் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான்; இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஒம்ரியின் குமாரத்தியான அவன் தாயின் பேர் அத்தாலியாள். Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

27 அவன் ஆகாபுடைய வீட்டாரின் வழியே நடந்து, ஆகாபின் வீட்டாரைப்போல் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் ஆகாப் வீட்டாரோடே சம்பந்தங்கலந்திருந்தான். And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

28 அவன் ஆகாபின் குமாரனாகிய யோராமோடேகூடக் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குச் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணப்போனான்; சீரியர் யோராமைக் காயப்படுத்தினார்கள். And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

29 ராஜாவாகிய யோராம் தான் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலோடு யுத்தம் பண்ணுகையில், சீரியர் ராமாவிலே தன்னை வெட்டின காயங்களை ஆற்றிக் கொள்ள யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குப் போயிருந்தான்; ஆகாபின் குமாரனாகிய யோராம் வியாதியாயிருந்தபடியினால், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோராமின் குமாரன் அகசியா யெஸ்ரயேலில் இருக்கிற அவனைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குப் போனான். And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

1 Elisaa thaan uyirppiththa pillaiyin thaayaakiya sthireeyai Nnokki: nee un veettarodungaூda elunthu purappattup poy engaeyaakilum sanjari: Karththar panjaththai varuvippaar; athu aeluvarusham thaesaththil irukkum entu solliyirunthaan. Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

2 Antha sthiree elunthu, thaevanutaiya manushan sonna vaarththaiyinpati seythu, than veettarodungaூdap purappattu, pelistharin thaesaththil poy, aeluvarusham sanjariththaal. And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

3 Aeluvarusham sentapinpu, aval pelistharin thaesaththai vittuth thirumpa vanthu, than veettukkaakavum than vayalukkaakavum raajaavinidaththil muraiyidumpati ponaal. And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

4 Annaeraththil raajaa, thaevanutaiya manushanin vaelaikkaaranaayiruntha kaeyaasiyudanae paesi: elisaa seytha athisayangalaiyellaam nee enakku vivaramaaych sol entan. And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

5 Seththup ponavanai uyirppiththaar enpathai avan raajaavukku arivikkirapothu, itho, avan uyirppiththa pillaiyin thaayaakiya antha sthiree vanthu, than veettukkaakavum than vayalukkaakavum raajaavinidaththil muraiyittal; appoluthu kaeyaasi: raajaavaakiya en aanndavanae, ivalthaan antha sthiree; elisaa uyirppiththa ivalutaiya kumaaran ivan thaan entan. And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

6 Raajaa antha sthireeyaik kaettatharku, aval: athai avanukku vivariththuch sonnaal; appoluthu raajaa avalukku oru pirathaaniyai niyamiththu, avalukku unndaanathu ellaavattaைyum, aval thaesaththai vittuppona naal muthal ithuvaraikkum unndaana antha vayalin varumaanam anaiththaiyum avalukkuk kitaikkumpati sey entan. And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

7 Seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya penaathaath viyaathiyaayirunthaan; elisaa thamaskuvukku vanthaan; thaevanutaiya manushan ivvidaththil vanthirukkiraan entu avanukku arivikkappattapothu, And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

8 Raajaa aasakaelai Nnokki: nee un kaiyilae oru kaannikkaiyai eduththuk konndu, thaevanutaiya manushanukku ethirkonndupoy, naan intha viyaathi neengip pilaippaenaa entu avanaik konndu karththaridaththil visaarikkach sonnaan. And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

9 Aasakael thamaskuvin sakala uchchithangalilum naarpathu ottakangalin sumaiyaana kaannikkaiyai eduththukkonndu, avanukku ethirkonndu poy, avanukku munpaaka nintu, seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya penaathaath ennum ummutaiya kumaaran ennai ummidaththil anuppi, intha viyaathi neengip pilaippaenaa entu kaetkachchaொnnaar entan. So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

10 Elisaa avanai Nnokki: nee poy, viyaathi neengip pilaippeer entu avanukkuch sollum; aanaalum avan saakavae saavaan enpathaik Karththar enakkuk kaannpiththaar entan. And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath showed me that he shall surely die.

11 Pinpu thaevanutaiya manushan: than mukaththaith thiruppaamal avan saliththuppokumattum avanai Nnokkik konntae aluthaan. And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

12 Appoluthu aasakael: en aanndavan alukirathu enna entu kaettan. Atharku avan: nee Israel puththirarukkuch seyyum theengai naan arinthirukkirapatiyinaal alukiraேn; nee avarkal kottaைkalai akkinikku iraiyaakki, avarkal vaaliparaip pattayaththaal kontu, avarkal kulanthaikalaith tharaiyotae mothi, avarkal karppavathikalaik geerippoduvaay entan. And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

13 Appoluthu aasakael: iththanai periya kaariyaththaich seyya naayaakiya umathu atiyaan emmaaththiram entan. Atharku elisaa: nee seeriyaavinmael raajaavaavaay enpathaik Karththar enakkuth theriviththaar entan. And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

14 Ivan elisaavaivittup purappattu, than aanndavanidaththil vanthapothu, avan: elisaa unakku enna sonnaan entu kaettatharku; ivan neer viyaathi neengip pilaippeer entu enakkuch sonnaan entu solli, So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

15 Maraுnaalilae oru samukkaalaththai eduththu, thannnneerilae thoyththu avan mukaththinmael viriththaan; athinaal avan seththupponaan; aasakael avanukkup pathilaay raajaavaanaan. And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

16 Isravaelin raajaavaakiya aakaayin kumaaran yoraamutaiya ainthaam varushaththil, yosapaath yoothaavilae innum raajaavaayirukkaiyil yosapaaththin kumaaranaakiya yoraam ennum yoothaavin raajaa raajyapaarampannnath thuvakkinaan. And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

17 Avan raajaavaakirapothu muppaththiranndu vayathaayirunthu, ettu varusham erusalaemil raajyapaaram pannnninaan. Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

18 Avan Israel raajaakkalin valiyilae nadanthu, aakaapin veettar seythathupolach seythaan; aakaapin kumaaraththi avanukku manaiviyaayirunthaal; avan karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan. And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

19 Karththar: un kumaararukkullae ennaalum oru vilakkai unakkuk kattalaiyiduvaen entu thammutaiya thaasanaakiya Davidkkuch sonnathinpatiyae, avanimiththam avar yoothaavai muttilum kedukkavillai. Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

20 Avan naatkalil yoothaavutaiya kaiyingeeliruntha aethomiyar kalakam pannnni, thangalukku oru raajaavai aerpaduththikkonndaarkal. In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

21 Athinaalae yoraam sakala irathangalodungaூdach saayeerukkup purappattup ponaan; avan iraaththiriyil elunthirunthu, thannai valainthukonnda aethomiyaraiyum irathangalin thalaivaraiyum muriya atiththapothu, janangal thangal koodaarangalukku otipponaarkal. So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

22 Appatiyae yoothaavutaiya kaiyin geeliruntha aethomiyar, innaalvaraikkum irukkirathupola, kalakampannnninaarkal; akkaalaththil thaanae lipnaa pattanaththaarum kalakampannnninaarkal. Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

23 Yoraamin matta varththamaanangalum, avan seythavai yaavum, yoothaavutaiya raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

24 Yoraam than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthu, than pithaakkalidaththilae thaaveethin nakaraththil adakkampannnappattan; avanukkup pathilaaka avan kumaaranaakiya akasiyaa raajaavaanaan. And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

25 Isravaelin raajaavaakiya aakaapin kumaaran yoraamutaiya panniranndaam varushaththilae, yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoraamin kumaaran akasiyaa raajaavaanaan. In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.

26 Akasiyaa raajaavaakirapothu, irupaththiranndu vayathaayirunthu, orae varusham erusalaemil raajyapaarampannnninaan; isravaelin raajaavaakiya omriyin kumaaraththiyaana avan thaayin paer aththaaliyaal. Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

27 Avan aakaaputaiya veettarin valiyae nadanthu, aakaapin veettaraippol karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan; avan aakaap veettarotae sampanthangalanthirunthaan. And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

28 Avan aakaapin kumaaranaakiya yoraamotaekoodak geelaeyaaththilulla raamoththirkuch seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya aasakaelodu yuththampannnapponaan; seeriyar yoraamaik kaayappaduththinaarkal. And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

29 Raajaavaakiya yoraam thaan seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya aasakaelodu yuththam pannnukaiyil, seeriyar raamaavilae thannai vettina kaayangalai aattik kolla yesrayaelukkup poyirunthaan; aakaapin kumaaranaakiya yoraam viyaathiyaayirunthapatiyinaal, yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoraamin kumaaran akasiyaa yesrayaelil irukkira avanaip paarkkiratharkup ponaan. And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
