உன் சகோதரன் அந்நியர்வசமான நாளாகிய அவனுடைய நாளை நீ பிரியத்தோடே பாராமலும், யூதா புத்திரருடைய அழிவின் நாளிலே அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் சந்தோஷப்படாமலும் அவர்கள் நெருக்கப்படுகிற நாளிலே நீ பெருமையாய்ப் பேசாமலும் இருக்க வேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.

Un sakotharan anniyarvasamaana naalaakiya avanutaiya naalai nee piriyaththotae paaraamalum, yoothaa puththirarutaiya alivin naalilae avarkal nimiththam santhoshappadaamalum avarkal nerukkappadukira naalilae nee perumaiyaayp paesaamalum irukka vaenntiyathaayirunthathu.

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

But look not thou on the day of thy brother in the day of his disaster, and rejoice not over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither speak proudly in the day of distress.
