Exodus 18 in Tamil

1 தேவன் மோசேக்கும் தமது ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கும் செய்த யாவையும், கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினதையும், மீதியானில் ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த மோசேயின் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோ கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

2 மோசேயின் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோ, மோசேயினாலே திரும்பி அனுப்பிவிடப்பட்டிருந்த அவன் மனைவியாகிய சிப்போராளையும், Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

3 அவளுடைய இரண்டு குமாரரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு பிரயாணப்பட்டான். நான் அந்நிய தேசத்திலே பரதேசியானேன் என்று மோசே சொல்லி, ஒரு மகனுக்குக் கெர்சோம் என்று பேரிட்டிருந்தான். And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:

4 என் பிதாவின் தேவன் எனக்குத் துணைநின்று பார்வோனின் பட்டயத்துக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவித்தார் என்று சொல்லி, மற்றவனுக்கு எலியேசர் என்று பேரிட்டிருந்தான். And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

5 மோசேயின் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோ மோசேயின் குமாரரோடும் அவன் மனைவியோடுங் கூட, அவன் பாளயமிறங்கியிருந்த தேவ பர்வதத்தினிடத்தில் வனாந்தரத்துக்கு வந்து: And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:

6 எத்திரோ என்னும் உம்முடைய மாமனாகிய நானும், உம்முடைய மனைவியும், அவளோடேகூட அவளுடைய இரண்டு குமாரரும் உம்மிடத்திற்கு வந்திருக்கிறோம் என்று மோசேக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பினான். And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

7 அப்பொழுது மோசே தன் மாமனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், அவனை வணங்கி, முத்தஞ்செய்தான்; ஒருவரை ஒருவர் சுகசெய்தி விசாரித்துக்கொண்டு, கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்தார்கள். And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

8 பின்பு மோசே கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலினிமித்தம் பார்வோனுக்கும் எகிப்தியருக்கும் செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும், வழியிலே தங்களுக்கு நேரிட்ட எல்லா வருத்தத்தையும், கர்த்தர் தங்களை விடுவித்து இரட்சித்ததையும் தன் மாமனுக்கு விவரித்துச் சொன்னான். And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.

9 கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலரை எகிப்தியரின் கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து, அவர்களுக்குச் செய்த சகல நன்மைகளையுங்குறித்து எத்திரோ சந்தோஷப்பட்டு: And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.

10 உங்களை எகிப்தியரின் கைக்கும் பார்வோனின் கைக்கும் தப்புவித்து, எகிப்தியருடைய கையின் கீழிருந்த ஜனத்தை விடுவித்த கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம். And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

11 கர்த்தர் எல்லாத் தேவர்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் பெரியவர் என்பதை இப்பொழுது அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; அவர்கள் இடும்பு செய்த காரியத்தில் அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டார் என்று சொல்லி; Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

12 மோசேயின் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோ சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் மற்றப் பலிகளையும் தேவனுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து செலுத்தினான். பின்பு ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேல் மூப்பர் அனைவரும் வந்து மோசேயின் மாமனுடனே தேவசமுகத்தில் போஜனம் பண்ணினார்கள். And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

13 மறுநாள் மோசே ஜனங்களை நியாயம்விசாரிக்க உட்கார்ந்தான்; ஜனங்கள் காலமே துவக்கிச் சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் மோசேக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள். And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

14 ஜனங்களுக்கு அவன் செய்த யாவையும் மோசேயின் மாமன் கண்டு: நீர் ஜனங்களுக்குச் செய்கிற இந்தக் காரியம் என்ன? நீர் ஒன்றியாய் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கவும், ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் காலமே துவக்கிச் சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கவும் வேண்டியது என்ன என்றான். And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?

15 அப்பொழுது மோசே தன் மாமனை நோக்கி: தேவனிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கும்படி ஜனங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறார்கள். And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

16 அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு காரியம் உண்டானால், என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறார்கள்; நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ள வழக்கைத் தீர்த்து, தேவகட்டளைகளையும் அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களையும் தெரிவிக்கிறேன் என்றான். When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

17 அதற்கு மோசேயின் மாமன்: நீர் செய்கிற காரியம் நல்லதல்ல; And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.

18 நீரும் உம்மோடே இருக்கிற ஜனங்களும் தொய்ந்துபோவீர்கள் இது உமக்கு மிகவும் பாரமான காரியம்; நீர் ஒருவராய் அதைச் செய்ய உம்மாலே கூடாது. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.

19 இப்பொழுது என் சொல்லைக்கேளும், உமக்கு ஒரு ஆலோசனை சொல்லுகிறேன்; தேவனும் உம்மோடுகூட இருப்பார், நீர் தேவசந்நிதியிலே ஜனங்களுக்காக இரும்; விசேஷித்தவைகளைத் தேவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுபோய்; Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:

20 கட்டளைகளையும் பிரமாணங்களையும் அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தி; அவர்கள் நடக்கவேண்டிய வழியையும், அவர்கள் செய்யவேண்டிய காரியத்தையும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தும். And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

21 ஜனங்கள் எல்லாருக்குள்ளும் தேவனுக்குப் பயந்தவர்களும் உண்மையுள்ளவர்களும் பொருளாசையை வெறுக்கிறவர்களுமான திறமையுள்ள மனிதரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களை ஆயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், ஐம்பதுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், பத்துப்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும் ஏற்படுத்தும். Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

22 அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் ஜனங்களை நியாயம்விசாரித்து, பெரிய காரியங்கள் யாவையும் உம்மிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரட்டும், சிறிய காரியங்கள் யாவையும் தாங்களே தீர்க்கட்டும்; இப்படி அவர்கள் உம்மோடேகூட இந்தப் பாரத்தைச் சுமந்தால், உமக்கு இலகுவாயிருக்கும். And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

23 இந்தப்பிரகாரம் நீர் செய்வதும், இப்படித் தேவன் உமக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவதும் உண்டானால், உம்மாலே தாங்கக்கூடும்; இந்த ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் தாங்கள் போகும் இடத்துக்குச் சுகமாய்ப் போய்ச் சேரலாம் என்றான். If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

24 மோசே தன் மாமன் சொல்கேட்டு, அவன் சொன்னபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான். So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

25 மோசே இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரிலும் திறமையுள்ள மனிதரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களை ஆயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், ஐம்பதுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும், பத்துப்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளாகவும் ஜனங்கள்மேல் தலைவராக்கினான். And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

26 அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரித்தார்கள்; வருத்தமான காரியங்களைமாத்திரம் மோசேயினிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; சிறிய காரியங்களையெல்லாம் தாங்களே தீர்த்தார்கள். And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

27 பின்பு மோசே தன் மாமனை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவன் திரும்பத் தன் தேசத்துக்குப் போய்விட்டான். And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

1 Dhevan Moseskkum thamathu janamaakiya isravaelukkum seytha yaavaiyum, Karththar isravaelai ekipthilirunthu purappadappannnninathaiyum, meethiyaanil aasaariyanaayiruntha Mosesyin maamanaakiya eththiro kaelvippattapothu, When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

2 Mosesyin maamanaakiya eththiro, Mosesyinaalae thirumpi anuppividappattiruntha avan manaiviyaakiya sipporaalaiyum, Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

3 Avalutaiya iranndu kumaararaiyum koottikkonndu pirayaanappattan. Naan anniya thaesaththilae parathaesiyaanaen entu Moses solli, oru makanukkuk kersom entu paerittirunthaan. And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:

4 En pithaavin Dhevan enakkuth thunnainintu paarvonin pattayaththukku ennaith thappuviththaar entu solli, mattavanukku eliyaesar entu paerittirunthaan. And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

5 Mosesyin maamanaakiya eththiro Mosesyin kumaararodum avan manaiviyodung kooda, avan paalayamirangiyiruntha thaeva parvathaththinidaththil vanaantharaththukku vanthu: And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:

6 Eththiro ennum ummutaiya maamanaakiya naanum, ummutaiya manaiviyum, avalotaekooda avalutaiya iranndu kumaararum ummidaththirku vanthirukkirom entu Moseskkuch solliyanuppinaan. And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

7 Appoluthu Moses than maamanukku ethirkonndupoy, avanai vanangi, muththanjaெythaan; oruvarai oruvar sukaseythi visaariththukkonndu, koodaaraththukkul piravaesiththaarkal. And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

8 Pinpu Moses Karththar isravaelinimiththam paarvonukkum ekipthiyarukkum seytha ellaavattaைyum, valiyilae thangalukku naeritta ellaa varuththaththaiyum, Karththar thangalai viduviththu iratchiththathaiyum than maamanukku vivariththuch sonnaan. And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.

9 Karththar isravaelarai ekipthiyarin kaikkuth thappuviththu, avarkalukkuch seytha sakala nanmaikalaiyunguriththu eththiro santhoshappattu: And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.

10 Ungalai ekipthiyarin kaikkum paarvonin kaikkum thappuviththu, ekipthiyarutaiya kaiyin geeliruntha janaththai viduviththa karththarukku Sthoththiram. And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

11 Karththar ellaath thaevarkalaip paarkkilum periyavar enpathai ippoluthu arinthirukkiraேn; avarkal idumpu seytha kaariyaththil avarkalai maerkonndaar entu solli; Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

12 Mosesyin maamanaakiya eththiro sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum mattap palikalaiyum thaevanukkuk konnduvanthu seluththinaan. Pinpu aaronum Israel mooppar anaivarum vanthu Mosesyin maamanudanae thaevasamukaththil pojanam pannnninaarkal. And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

13 Maraுnaal Moses janangalai niyaayamvisaarikka utkaarnthaan; janangal kaalamae thuvakkich saayangaalammattum Moseskku munpaaka nintarkal. And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

14 Janangalukku avan seytha yaavaiyum Mosesyin maaman kanndu: neer janangalukkuch seykira inthak kaariyam enna? Neer ontiyaay utkaarnthirukkavum, janangal ellaarum kaalamae thuvakkich saayangaalammattum umakku munpaaka nirkavum vaenntiyathu enna entan. And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?

15 Appoluthu Moses than maamanai Nnokki: thaevanidaththil visaarikkumpati janangal ennidaththil varukiraarkal. And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

16 Avarkalukku yaathoru kaariyam unndaanaal, ennidaththil varukiraarkal; naan avarkalukkulla valakkaith theerththu, thaevakattalaikalaiyum avarutaiya piramaanangalaiyum therivikkiraேn entan. When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

17 Atharku Mosesyin maaman: neer seykira kaariyam nallathalla; And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.

18 Neerum ummotae irukkira janangalum thoynthupoveerkal ithu umakku mikavum paaramaana kaariyam; neer oruvaraay athaich seyya ummaalae koodaathu. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.

19 Ippoluthu en sollaikkaelum, umakku oru aalosanai sollukiraேn; thaevanum ummodukooda iruppaar, neer thaevasannithiyilae janangalukkaaka irum; viseshiththavaikalaith thaevanidaththil konndupoy; Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:

20 Kattalaikalaiyum piramaanangalaiyum avarkalukku velippaduththi; avarkal nadakkavaenntiya valiyaiyum, avarkal seyyavaenntiya kaariyaththaiyum avarkalukkuth theriyappaduththum. And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

21 Janangal ellaarukkullum thaevanukkup payanthavarkalum unnmaiyullavarkalum porulaasaiyai veraுkkiravarkalumaana thiramaiyulla manitharaith therinthukonndu, avarkalai aayirampaerukku athipathikalaakavum, nooraுpaerukku athipathikalaakavum, aimpathupaerukku athipathikalaakavum, paththuppaerukku athipathikalaakavum aerpaduththum. Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

22 Avarkal eppoluthum janangalai niyaayamvisaariththu, periya kaariyangal yaavaiyum ummidaththil konnduvarattum, siriya kaariyangal yaavaiyum thaangalae theerkkattum; ippati avarkal ummotaekooda inthap paaraththaich sumanthaal, umakku ilakuvaayirukkum. And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

23 Inthappirakaaram neer seyvathum, ippatith Dhevan umakkuk kattalaiyiduvathum unndaanaal, ummaalae thaangakkoodum; intha janangal ellaarum thaangal pokum idaththukkuch sukamaayp poych seralaam entan. If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

24 Moses than maaman solkaettu, avan sonnapatiyellaam seythaan. So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

25 Moses isravaelar ellaarilum thiramaiyulla manitharaith therinthukonndu, avarkalai aayirampaerukku athipathikalaakavum, nooraுpaerukku athipathikalaakavum, aimpathupaerukku athipathikalaakavum, paththuppaerukku athipathikalaakavum janangalmael thalaivaraakkinaan. And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

26 Avarkal eppoluthum janangalai niyaayam visaariththaarkal; varuththamaana kaariyangalaimaaththiram Mosesyinidaththil konnduvanthaarkal; siriya kaariyangalaiyellaam thaangalae theerththaarkal. And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

27 Pinpu Moses than maamanai anuppivittan; avan thirumpath than thaesaththukkup poyvittan. And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.
