Psalm 38 in Tamil

1 கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கோபத்தில் என்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதேயும்; உம்முடைய உக்கிரத்தில் என்னைத் தண்டியாதேயும். O lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2 உம்முடைய அம்புகள் எனக்குள்ளே தைத்திருக்கிறது; உமது கை என்னை இருத்துகிறது. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3 உமது கோபத்தினால் என் மாம்சத்தில் ஆரோக்கியமில்லை; என் பாவத்தினால் என் எலும்புகளில் சவுக்கியமில்லை. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

4 என் அக்கிரமங்கள் என் தலைக்குமேலாகப் பெருகிற்று, அவைகள் பாரச்சுமையைப்போல என்னால் தாங்கக் கூடாத பாரமாயிற்று. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 என் மதிகேட்டினிமித்தம் என் புண்கள் அழுகி நாற்றமெடுத்தது. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

6 நான் வேதனைப்பட்டு ஒடுங்கினேன்; நாள்முழுதும் துக்கப்பட்டுத் திரிகிறேன். I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

7 என் குடல்கள் எரிபந்தமாய் எரிகிறது, என் மாம்சத்தில் ஆரோக்கியமில்லை. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 நான் பெலனற்றுப்போய், மிகவும் நொறுக்கப்பட்டேன்; என் இருதயத்தின் கொந்தளிப்பினால் கதறுகிறேன். I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

9 ஆண்டவரே, என் ஏங்கலெல்லாம் உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; என் தவிப்பு உமக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கவில்லை. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10 என் உள்ளம் குழம்பி அலைகிறது; என் பெலன் என்னை விட்டு விலகி, என் கண்களின் ஒளி முதலாய் இல்லாமற்போயிற்று. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

11 என் சிநேகிதரும் என் தோழரும் என் வாதையைக் கண்டு விலகுகிறார்கள்; என் இனத்தாரும் தூரத்திலே நிற்கிறார்கள். My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்கள் எனக்குக் கண்ணிகளை வைக்கிறார்கள்; எனக்குப் பொல்லாங்கு தேடுகிறவர்கள் கேடானவைகளைப்பேசி, நாள்முழுதும் வஞ்சனைகளை யோசிக்கிறார்கள். They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 நானோ செவிடனைப்போலக் கேளாதவனாகவும், ஊமையனைப்போல வாய்திறவாதவனாகவும் இருக்கிறேன். But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

14 காதுகேளாதவனும், தன் வாயில் மறு உத்தரவுகளில்லாதவனுமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷனைப்போலானேன். Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 கர்த்தாவே, உமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரே, நீர் மறு உத்தரவு அருளினீர். For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

16 அவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷப்படாதபடிக்கு இப்படிச்சொன்னேன்; என் கால் தவறும்போது என்மேல் பெருமைபாராட்டுவார்களே. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

17 நான் தடுமாறி விழ ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறேன்; என் துக்கம் எப்பொழுதும் என் முன்பாக இருக்கிறது. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

18 என் அக்கிரமத்தை நான் அறிக்கையிட்டு, என் பாவத்தினிமித்தம் விசாரப்படுகிறேன். For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

19 என் சத்துருக்கள் வாழ்ந்து பலத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் பெருகியிருக்கிறார்கள். But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20 நான் நன்மையைப் பின்பற்றுகிறபடியால், நன்மைக்குத் தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் என்னை விரோதிக்கிறார்கள். They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

21 கர்த்தாவே, என்னைக் கைவிடாதேயும்; என் தேவனே, எனக்குத் தூரமாயிராதேயும். Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

22 என் இரட்சிப்பாகிய ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குச் சகாயஞ்செய்யத் தீவிரியும். Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

1 Karththaavae, ummutaiya kopaththil ennaik katinthukollaathaeyum; ummutaiya ukkiraththil ennaith thanntiyaathaeyum. O lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2 Ummutaiya ampukal enakkullae thaiththirukkirathu; umathu kai ennai iruththukirathu. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3 Umathu kopaththinaal en maamsaththil aarokkiyamillai; en paavaththinaal en elumpukalil savukkiyamillai. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

4 En akkiramangal en thalaikkumaelaakap perukittaு, avaikal paarachchumaiyaippola ennaal thaangak koodaatha paaramaayittaு. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 En mathikaettinimiththam en punnkal aluki naattameduththathu. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

6 Naan vaethanaippattu odunginaen; naalmuluthum thukkappattuth thirikiraேn. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

7 En kudalkal eripanthamaay erikirathu, en maamsaththil aarokkiyamillai. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 Naan pelanattaுppoy, mikavum noraுkkappattaேn; en iruthayaththin konthalippinaal katharaுkiraேn. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

9 Aanndavarae, en aengalellaam umakku munpaaka irukkirathu; en thavippu umakku maraivaayirukkavillai. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10 En ullam kulampi alaikirathu; en pelan ennai vittu vilaki, en kannkalin oli muthalaay illaamarpoyittaு. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

11 En sinaekitharum en tholarum en vaathaiyaik kanndu vilakukiraarkal; en inaththaarum thooraththilae nirkiraarkal. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 En piraananai vaangaththaedukiravarkal enakkuk kannnnikalai vaikkiraarkal; enakkup pollaangu thaedukiravarkal kaedaanavaikalaippaesi, naalmuluthum vanjanaikalai yosikkiraarkal. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 Naano sevidanaippolak kaelaathavanaakavum, oomaiyanaippola vaaythiravaathavanaakavum irukkiraேn. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

14 Kaathukaelaathavanum, than vaayil maraு uththaravukalillaathavanumaayirukkira manushanaippolaanaen. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 Karththaavae, umakkuk kaaththirukkiraேn; en thaevanaakiya aanndavarae, neer maraு uththaravu arulineer. For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

16 Avarkal ennimiththam santhoshappadaathapatikku ippatichchaொnnaen; en kaal thavaraுmpothu enmael perumaipaaraattuvaarkalae. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

17 Naan thadumaari vila aethuvaayirukkiraேn; en thukkam eppoluthum en munpaaka irukkirathu. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

18 En akkiramaththai naan arikkaiyittu, en paavaththinimiththam visaarappadukiraேn. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

19 En saththurukkal vaalnthu palaththirukkiraarkal; mukaantharamillaamal ennaip pakaikkiravarkal perukiyirukkiraarkal. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20 Naan nanmaiyaip pinpattaுkirapatiyaal, nanmaikkuth theemai seykiravarkal ennai virothikkiraarkal. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

21 Karththaavae, ennaik kaividaathaeyum; en thaevanae, enakkuth thooramaayiraathaeyum. Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

22 En iratchippaakiya aanndavarae, enakkuch sakaayanjaெyyath theeviriyum. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
