John 6 in Tamil

1 இவைகளுக்குப்பின்பு இயேசு திபேரியாக்கடல் என்னப்பட்ட கலிலேயாக் கடலின் அக்கரைக்குப் போனார். After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

2 அவர் வியாதிக்காரரிடத்தில் செய்த அற்புதங்களைத் திரளான ஜனங்கள் கண்டபடியால் அவருக்குப் பின்சென்றார்கள். And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

3 இயேசு மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, அங்கே தம்முடைய சீஷருடனேகூட உட்கார்ந்தார். And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

4 அப்பொழுது யூதருடைய பண்டிகையாகிய பஸ்கா சமீபமாயிருந்தது. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

5 இயேசு தம்முடைய கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, திரளான ஜனங்கள் தம்மிடத்தில் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, பிலிப்புவை நோக்கி: இவர்கள் சாப்பிடத்தக்கதாக அப்பங்களை எங்கே கொள்ளலாம் என்று கேட்டார். When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

6 தாம் செய்யப்போகிறதை அறிந்திருந்தும், அவனைச் சோதிக்கும்படி இப்படிக் கேட்டார். And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

7 பிலிப்பு அவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக, இவர்களில் ஒவ்வொருவன் கொஞ்சங்கொஞ்சம் எடுத்துக்கொண்டாலும், இருநூறு பணத்து அப்பங்களும் இவர்களுக்குப் போதாதே என்றான். Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

8 அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சீஷரிலொருவனும், சீமோன் பேதுருவின் சகோதரனுமாகிய அந்திரேயா அவரை நோக்கி: One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,

9 இங்கே ஒரு பையன் இருக்கிறான், அவன் கையில் ஐந்து வாற்கோதுமை அப்பங்களும் இரண்டு மீன்களும் உண்டு, ஆனாலும் அவைகள் இத்தனை ஜனங்களுக்கு எம்மாத்திரம் என்றான். There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

10 இயேசு: ஜனங்களை உட்காரவையுங்கள் என்றார். அந்த இடம் மிகுந்த புல்லுள்ளதாயிருந்தது. பந்தியிருந்த புருஷர்கள் ஏறக்குறைய ஐயாயிரம் பேராயிருந்தார்கள். And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

11 இயேசு அந்த அப்பங்களை எடுத்து, ஸ்தோத்திரம்பண்ணி, சீஷர்களிடத்தில் கொடுத்தார்; சீஷர்கள் பந்தியிருந்தவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அப்படியே மீன்களையும் அவர் எடுத்து அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டிய மட்டும் கொடுத்தார். And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

12 அவர்கள் திருப்திடைந்தபின்பு, அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: ஒன்றும் சேதமாய்ப் போகாதபடிக்கு மீதியான துணிக்கைகளைச் சேர்த்துவையுங்கள் என்றார். When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

13 அந்தப்படியே அவர்கள் சேர்த்து, வாற்கோதுமை அப்பங்கள் ஐந்தில் அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டு மீதியான துணிக்கைகளினாலே பன்னிரண்டு கூடைகளை நிரப்பினார்கள். Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

14 இயேசு செய்த அற்புதத்தை அந்த மனுஷர் கண்டு: மெய்யாகவே இவர் உலகத்தில் வருகிறவரான தீர்க்கதரிசி என்றார்கள். Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

15 ஆதலால் அவர்கள் வந்து, தம்மை ராஜாவாக்கும்படிப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோக மனதாயிருக்கிறார்களென்று இயேசு அறிந்து, மறுபடியும் விலகி, தனியே மலையின்மேல் ஏறினார். When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

16 சாயங்காலமானபோது அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் கடற்கரைக்குப் போய், And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,

17 படவில் ஏறி, கடலின் அக்கரையிலுள்ள கப்பர்நகூமுக்கு நேராய்ப்போனார்கள்; அப்பொழுது இருட்டாயிருந்தது, இயேசுவும் அவர்களிடத்தில் வராதிருந்தார். And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

18 பெருங்காற்று அடித்தபடியினாலே கடல் கொந்தளிந்தது. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

19 அவர்கள் ஏறக்குறைய மூன்று நாலு மைல்தூரம் தண்டுவலித்துப் போனபொழுது, இயேசு கடலின்மேல் நடந்து, படவுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வருகிறதைக்கண்டு பயந்தார்கள். So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

20 அவர்களை அவர் நோக்கி: நான்தான், பயப்படாதிருங்கள் என்றார். But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

21 அப்பொழுது அவரைப் படவில் ஏற்றிக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தார்கள்; உடனே படவு அவர்கள் போகிற கரையைப் பிடித்தது. Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

22 மறுநாளில் கடலின் அக்கரையிலே நின்ற ஜனங்கள் அவருடைய சீஷர் ஏறின அந்த ஒரே படவுதவிர அங்கே வேறொரு படவும் இருந்ததில்லையென்றும், இயேசு தம்முடைய சீஷருடனேகூடப் படவில் ஏறாமல் அவருடைய சீஷர் மாத்திரம் போனார்களென்றும் அறிந்தார்கள். The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

23 கர்த்தர் ஸ்தோத்திரஞ்செய்தபின்பு அவர்கள் அப்பம் சாப்பிட்ட இடத்துக்குச் சமீபமாய்த் திபேரியாவிலிருந்து வேறே படவுகள் வந்தது. (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

24 அப்பொழுது இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீஷரும் அங்கே இல்லாததை ஜனங்கள் கண்டு, உடனே அந்தப் படவுகளில் ஏறி, இயேசுவைத் தேடிக்கொண்டு, கப்பர்நகூமுக்கு வந்தார்கள். When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

25 கடலின் அக்கரையிலே அவர்கள் அவரைக் கண்டபோது: ரபீ, நீர் எப்பொழுது இவ்விடம் வந்தீர் என்று கேட்டார்கள். And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

26 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீங்கள் அற்புதங்களைக் கண்டதினால் அல்ல, நீங்கள் அப்பம் புசித்துத் திருப்தியானதினாலேயே என்னைத் தேடுகிறீர்களென்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

27 அழிந்துபோகிற போஜனத்திற்காக அல்ல, நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே கிரியை நடப்பியுங்கள்; அதை மனுஷகுமாரன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பார்; அவரைப் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் முத்திரித்திருக்கிறார் என்றார். Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி தேவனுக்கேற்ற கிரியைகளை நடப்பிக்கும்படி நாங்கள் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அவர் அனுப்பினவரை நீங்கள் விசுவாசிப்பதே தேவனுக்கேற்ற கிரியையாயிருக்கிறது என்றார். Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

30 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அப்படியானால் உம்மை விசுவாசிக்கும்படிக்கு நாங்கள் காணத்தக்கதாக நீர் என்ன அடையாளத்தைக் காண்பிக்கிறீர்? என்னத்தை நடப்பிக்கிறீர்? They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

31 வானத்திலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு அப்பத்தைப் புசிக்கக்கொடுத்தார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, நம்முடைய பிதாக்கள் வனாந்தரத்தில் மன்னாவைப் புசித்தார்களே என்றார்கள். Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த அப்பத்தை மோசே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவில்லை; என் பிதாவோ வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த மெய்யான அப்பத்தை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறார் என்று, மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

33 வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கி, உலகத்துக்கு ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கிற அப்பமே தேவன் அருளிய அப்பம் என்றார். For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இந்த அப்பத்தை எப்பொழுதும் எங்களுக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஜீவ அப்பம் நானே, என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறவன் ஒருக்காலும் பசியடையான், என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவன் ஒருக்காலும் தாகமடையான். And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

36 நீங்கள் என்னைக் கண்டிருந்தும் விசுவாசியாமலிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன். But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 பிதாவானவர் எனக்குக் கொடுக்கிற யாவும் என்னிடத்தில் வரும், என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறவனை நான் புறம்பே தள்ளுவதில்லை. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 என் சித்தத்தின்படியல்ல, என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்யவே நான் வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கிவந்தேன். For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 அவர் எனக்குத் தந்தவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் இழந்துபோகாமல், கடைசிநாளில் அவைகளை எழுப்புவதே என்னை அனுப்பின பிதாவின் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 குமாரனைக் கண்டு, அவரிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன், நித்தியஜீவனை அடைவதும், நான் அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் எழுப்புவதும், என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது என்றார். And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 நான் வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த அப்பம் என்று அவர் சொன்னதினிமித்தம் யூதர்கள் அவரைக்குறித்து முறுமுறுத்து: The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

42 இவன் யோசேப்பின் குமாரனாகிய இயேசு அல்லவா, இவனுடைய தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோமே; அப்படியிருக்க, நான் வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கி வந்தேன் என்று இவன் எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறான் என்றார்கள். And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

43 இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: உங்களுக்குள்ளே முறுமுறுக்கவேண்டாம். Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44 என்னை அனுப்பின பிதா ஒருவனை இழுத்துக்கொள்ளாவிட்டால் அவன் என்னிடத்தில் வரமாட்டான்; கடைசிநாளில் நான் அவனை எழுப்புவேன். No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45 எல்லாரும் தேவனாலே போதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பார்கள் என்று தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் ஆகமத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதே; ஆகையால் பிதாவினிடத்தில் கேட்டுக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் எவனும் என்னிடத்தில் வருகிறான். It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46 தேவனிடத்தினின்று வந்தவரே தவிர வேறொருவரும் பிதாவைக் கண்டதில்லை, இவரே பிதாவைக் கண்டவர். Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

47 என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவனுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 ஜீவ அப்பம் நானே. I am that bread of life.

49 உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே மன்னாவைப் புசித்திருந்தும் மரித்தார்கள் Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 இதிலே புசிக்கிறவன் மரியாமலிருக்கும்படி வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கின அப்பம் இதுவே. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

51 நானே வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கின ஜீவ அப்பம்; இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசிக்கிறவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் பிழைப்பான்; நான் கொடுக்கும் அப்பம் உலகத்தின் ஜீவனுக்காக நான் கொடுக்கும் என் மாம்சமே என்றார். I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52 அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள்; இவன் தன்னுடைய மாம்சத்தை எப்படி நமக்குப் புசிக்கக் கொடுப்பான் என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணினார்கள். The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53 அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய மாம்சத்தைப் புசியாமலும், அவருடைய இரத்தத்தைப் பானம்பண்ணாமலும் இருந்தால் உங்களுக்குள்ளே ஜீவனில்லை என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 என் மாம்சத்தைப் புசித்து, என் இரத்தத்தைப் பானம்பண்ணுகிறவனுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டு; நான் அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் எழுப்புவேன். Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 என் மாம்சம் மெய்யான போஜனமாயிருக்கிறது, என் இரத்தம் மெய்யான பானமாயிருக்கிறது. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56 என் மாம்சத்தைப் புசித்து, என் இரத்தத்தைப் பானம் பண்ணுகிறவன் என்னிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், நானும் அவனிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறேன். He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57 ஜீவனுள்ள பிதா என்னை அனுப்பினதுபோலவும், நான் பிதாவினால் பிழைத்திருக்கிறதுபோலவும், என்னைப் புசிக்கிறவனும் என்னாலே பிழைப்பான். As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58 வானத்திலிருந்திறங்கின அப்பம் இதுவே; இது உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் புசித்தமன்னாவைப் போலல்ல, அவர்கள் மரித்தார்களே; இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசிக்கிறவனோ என்றென்றைக்கும் பிழைப்பான் என்றார். This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 கப்பர்நகூமிலுள்ள ஜெபஆலயத்திலே அவர் உபதேசிக்கையில் இவைகளைச் சொன்னார். These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

60 அவருடைய சீஷரில் அநேகர் இவைகளைக் கேட்டபொழுது, இது கடினமான உபதேசம், யார் இதைக் கேட்பார்கள் என்றார்கள். Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

61 சீஷர்கள் அதைக்குறித்து முறுமுறுக்கிறார்களென்று இயேசு தமக்குள்ளே அறிந்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: இது உங்களுக்கு இடறலாயிருக்கிறதோ? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62 மனுஷகுமாரன் தாம் முன்னிருந்த இடத்திற்கு ஏறிப்போகிறதை நீங்கள் காண்பீர்களானால் எப்படியிருக்கும்? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

63 ஆவியே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறது, மாம்சமானது ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாது; நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிற வசனங்கள் ஆவியாயும் ஜீவனாயும் இருக்கிறது. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 ஆகிலும் உங்களில் விசுவாசியாதவர்கள் சிலர் உண்டு என்றார்; விசுவாசியாதவர்கள் இன்னாரென்றும், தம்மைக் காட்டிக்கொடுப்பவன் இன்னானென்றும் ஆதிமுதலாக இயேசு அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவர் பின்னும்: But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 ஒருவன் என் பிதாவின் அருளைப் பெறாவிட்டால் என்னிடத்திற்கு வரமாட்டான் என்று இதினிமித்தமே உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன் என்றார். And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 அதுமுதல் அவருடைய சீஷரில் அநேகர் அவருடனேகூட நடவாமல் பின்வாங்கிப்போனார்கள். From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

67 அப்பொழுது இயேசு பன்னிருவரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்களும் போய்விட மனதாயிருக்கிறீர்களோ என்றார். Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68 சீமோன் பேதுரு அவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஆண்டவரே, யாரிடத்தில் போவோம், நித்தியஜீவ வசனங்கள் உம்மிடத்தில் உண்டே. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69 நீர் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்று நாங்கள் விசுவாசித்தும் அறிந்தும் இருக்கிறோம் என்றான். And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

70 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: பன்னிருவராகிய உங்களை நான் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லையா? உங்களுக்குள்ளும் ஒருவன் பிசாசாயிருக்கிறான் என்றார். Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

71 சீமோனின் குமாரனாகிய யூதாஸ்காரியோத்து பன்னிருவரிலொருவனாயிருந்தும், தம்மைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்போகிறவனாயிருந்தபடியினால் அவனைக் குறித்து இப்படிச் சொன்னார். He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

1 Ivaikalukkuppinpu Yesu thipaeriyaakkadal ennappatta kalilaeyaak kadalin akkaraikkup ponaar. After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

2 Avar viyaathikkaararidaththil seytha arputhangalaith thiralaana janangal kanndapatiyaal avarukkup pinsentarkal. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

3 Yesu malaiyinmael aeri, angae thammutaiya seesharudanaekooda utkaarnthaar. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

4 Appoluthu yootharutaiya panntikaiyaakiya paskaa sameepamaayirunthathu. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

5 Yesu thammutaiya kannkalai aeraெduththu, thiralaana janangal thammidaththil varukirathaik kanndu, pilippuvai Nnokki: ivarkal saappidaththakkathaaka appangalai engae kollalaam entu kaettar. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

6 Thaam seyyappokirathai arinthirunthum, avanaich sothikkumpati ippatik kaettar. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Pilippu avarukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka, ivarkalil ovvoruvan konjangaொnjam eduththukkonndaalum, irunooraு panaththu appangalum ivarkalukkup pothaathae entan. Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

8 Appoluthu avarutaiya seeshariloruvanum, seemon paethuruvin sakotharanumaakiya anthiraeyaa avarai Nnokki: One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,

9 Ingae oru paiyan irukkiraan, avan kaiyil ainthu vaarkothumai appangalum iranndu meenkalum unndu, aanaalum avaikal iththanai janangalukku emmaaththiram entan. There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

10 Yesu: janangalai utkaaravaiyungal entar. Antha idam mikuntha pullullathaayirunthathu. Panthiyiruntha purusharkal aerakkuraiya aiyaayiram paeraayirunthaarkal. And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

11 Yesu antha appangalai eduththu, Sthoththirampannnni, seesharkalidaththil koduththaar; seesharkal panthiyirunthavarkalukkuk koduththaarkal; appatiyae meenkalaiyum avar eduththu avarkalukku vaenntiya mattum koduththaar. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

12 Avarkal thirupthitainthapinpu, avar thammutaiya seesharkalai Nnokki: ontum sethamaayp pokaathapatikku meethiyaana thunnikkaikalaich serththuvaiyungal entar. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

13 Anthappatiyae avarkal serththu, vaarkothumai appangal ainthil avarkal saappittu meethiyaana thunnikkaikalinaalae panniranndu kootaikalai nirappinaarkal. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

14 Yesu seytha arputhaththai antha manushar kanndu: meyyaakavae ivar ulakaththil varukiravaraana theerkkatharisi entarkal. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

15 Aathalaal avarkal vanthu, thammai raajaavaakkumpatip pitiththukkonndupoka manathaayirukkiraarkalentu Yesu arinthu, maraுpatiyum vilaki, thaniyae malaiyinmael aerinaar. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

16 Saayangaalamaanapothu avarutaiya seesharkal kadarkaraikkup poy, And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,

17 Padavil aeri, kadalin akkaraiyilulla kapparnakoomukku naeraaypponaarkal; appoluthu iruttayirunthathu, Yesuvum avarkalidaththil varaathirunthaar. And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

18 Perungaattaு atiththapatiyinaalae kadal konthalinthathu. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

19 Avarkal aerakkuraiya moontu naalu mailthooram thannduvaliththup ponapoluthu, Yesu kadalinmael nadanthu, padavukkuch sameepamaay varukirathaikkanndu payanthaarkal. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

20 Avarkalai avar Nnokki: naanthaan, payappadaathirungal entar. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

21 Appoluthu avaraip padavil aettikkolla manathaayirunthaarkal; udanae padavu avarkal pokira karaiyaip pitiththathu. Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

22 Maraுnaalil kadalin akkaraiyilae ninta janangal avarutaiya seeshar aerina antha orae padavuthavira angae vaeroru padavum irunthathillaiyentum, Yesu thammutaiya seesharudanaekoodap padavil aeraamal avarutaiya seeshar maaththiram ponaarkalentum arinthaarkal. The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

23 Karththar sthoththiranjaெythapinpu avarkal appam saappitta idaththukkuch sameepamaayth thipaeriyaavilirunthu vaeraே padavukal vanthathu. (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

24 Appoluthu Yesuvum avarutaiya seesharum angae illaathathai janangal kanndu, udanae anthap padavukalil aeri, Yesuvaith thaetikkonndu, kapparnakoomukku vanthaarkal. When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

25 Kadalin akkaraiyilae avarkal avaraik kanndapothu: rapee, neer eppoluthu ivvidam vantheer entu kaettarkal. And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

26 Yesu avarkalukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: neengal arputhangalaik kanndathinaal alla, neengal appam pusiththuth thirupthiyaanathinaalaeyae ennaith thaedukireerkalentu meyyaakavae meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn. Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

27 Alinthupokira pojanaththirkaaka alla, niththiyajeevanvaraikkum nilainirkira pojanaththirkaakavae kiriyai nadappiyungal; athai manushakumaaran ungalukkuk koduppaar; avaraip pithaavaakiya Dhevan muththiriththirukkiraar entar. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 Appoluthu avarkal avarai Nnokki thaevanukkaetta kiriyaikalai nadappikkumpati naangal enna seyyavaenndum entarkal. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Yesu avarkalukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: avar anuppinavarai neengal visuvaasippathae thaevanukkaetta kiriyaiyaayirukkirathu entar. Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

30 Atharku avarkal: appatiyaanaal ummai visuvaasikkumpatikku naangal kaanaththakkathaaka neer enna ataiyaalaththaik kaannpikkireer? Ennaththai nadappikkireer? They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

31 Vaanaththilirunthu avarkalukku appaththaip pusikkakkoduththaar entu eluthiyirukkirapati, nammutaiya pithaakkal vanaantharaththil mannaavaip pusiththaarkalae entarkal. Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: vaanaththilirunthu vantha appaththai Moses ungalukkuk kodukkavillai; en pithaavo vaanaththilirunthu vantha meyyaana appaththai ungalukkuk kodukkiraar entu, meyyaakavae meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

33 Vaanaththilirunthirangi, ulakaththukku jeevanaik kodukkira appamae Dhevan aruliya appam entar. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34 Appoluthu avarkal avarai Nnokki: aanndavarae, intha appaththai eppoluthum engalukkuth tharavaenndum entarkal. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: jeeva appam naanae, ennidaththil varukiravan orukkaalum pasiyataiyaan, ennidaththil visuvaasamaayirukkiravan orukkaalum thaakamataiyaan. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

36 Neengal ennaik kanntirunthum visuvaasiyaamalirukkireerkal entu ungalukkuch sonnaen. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 Pithaavaanavar enakkuk kodukkira yaavum ennidaththil varum, ennidaththil varukiravanai naan purampae thalluvathillai. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 En siththaththinpatiyalla, ennai anuppinavarutaiya siththaththinpati seyyavae naan vaanaththilirunthirangivanthaen. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 Avar enakkuth thanthavaikalil ontaiyum naan ilanthupokaamal, kataisinaalil avaikalai eluppuvathae ennai anuppina pithaavin siththamaayirukkirathu. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 Kumaaranaik kanndu, avaridaththil visuvaasamaayirukkiravan evano avan, niththiyajeevanai ataivathum, naan avanaik kataisinaalil eluppuvathum, ennai anuppinavarutaiya siththamaayirukkirathu entar. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 Naan vaanaththilirunthu vantha appam entu avar sonnathinimiththam yootharkal avaraikkuriththu muraுmuraுththu: The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

42 Ivan yoseppin kumaaranaakiya Yesu allavaa, ivanutaiya thakappanaiyum thaayaiyum arinthirukkiromae; appatiyirukka, naan vaanaththilirunthirangi vanthaen entu ivan eppatich sollukiraan entarkal. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

43 Yesu avarkalukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: ungalukkullae muraுmuraுkkavaenndaam. Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44 Ennai anuppina pithaa oruvanai iluththukkollaavittal avan ennidaththil varamaattan; kataisinaalil naan avanai eluppuvaen. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45 Ellaarum thaevanaalae pothikkappattiruppaarkal entu theerkkatharisikalin aakamaththil eluthiyirukkirathae; aakaiyaal pithaavinidaththil kaettuk kattaுkkollukiravan evanum ennidaththil varukiraan. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46 Thaevanidaththinintu vanthavarae thavira vaeroruvarum pithaavaik kanndathillai, ivarae pithaavaik kanndavar. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

47 Ennidaththil visuvaasamaayirukkiravanukku niththiyajeevan unndentu meyyaakavae meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 Jeeva appam naanae. I am that bread of life.

49 Ungal pithaakkal vanaantharaththilae mannaavaip pusiththirunthum mariththaarkal Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 Ithilae pusikkiravan mariyaamalirukkumpati vaanaththilirunthirangina appam ithuvae. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

51 Naanae vaanaththilirunthirangina jeeva appam; intha appaththaip pusikkiravan ententaikkum pilaippaan; naan kodukkum appam ulakaththin jeevanukkaaka naan kodukkum en maamsamae entar. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52 Appoluthu yootharkal; ivan thannutaiya maamsaththai eppati namakkup pusikkak koduppaan entu thangalukkullae vaakkuvaathampannnninaarkal. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53 Atharku Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: neengal manushakumaaranutaiya maamsaththaip pusiyaamalum, avarutaiya iraththaththaip paanampannnnaamalum irunthaal ungalukkullae jeevanillai entu meyyaakavae meyyaakavae ungalukkuch sollukiraேn. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 En maamsaththaip pusiththu, en iraththaththaip paanampannnukiravanukku niththiyajeevan unndu; naan avanaik kataisinaalil eluppuvaen. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 En maamsam meyyaana pojanamaayirukkirathu, en iraththam meyyaana paanamaayirukkirathu. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56 En maamsaththaip pusiththu, en iraththaththaip paanam pannnukiravan ennilae nilaiththirukkiraan, naanum avanilae nilaiththirukkiraேn. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57 Jeevanulla pithaa ennai anuppinathupolavum, naan pithaavinaal pilaiththirukkirathupolavum, ennaip pusikkiravanum ennaalae pilaippaan. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58 Vaanaththilirunthirangina appam ithuvae; ithu ungal pithaakkal pusiththamannaavaip polalla, avarkal mariththaarkalae; intha appaththaip pusikkiravano ententaikkum pilaippaan entar. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 Kapparnakoomilulla jepaaalayaththilae avar upathaesikkaiyil ivaikalaich sonnaar. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

60 Avarutaiya seesharil anaekar ivaikalaik kaettapoluthu, ithu katinamaana upathaesam, yaar ithaik kaetpaarkal entarkal. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

61 Seesharkal athaikkuriththu muraுmuraுkkiraarkalentu Yesu thamakkullae arinthu, avarkalai Nnokki: ithu ungalukku idaralaayirukkiratho? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62 Manushakumaaran thaam munniruntha idaththirku aerippokirathai neengal kaannpeerkalaanaal eppatiyirukkum? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

63 Aaviyae uyirppikkirathu, maamsamaanathu ontukkum uthavaathu; naan ungalukkuch sollukira vasanangal aaviyaayum jeevanaayum irukkirathu. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 Aakilum ungalil visuvaasiyaathavarkal silar unndu entar; visuvaasiyaathavarkal innaarentum, thammaik kaattikkoduppavan innaanentum aathimuthalaaka Yesu arinthirunthapatiyaal, avar pinnum: But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 Oruvan en pithaavin arulaip peraavittal ennidaththirku varamaattan entu ithinimiththamae ungalukkuch sonnaen entar. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 Athumuthal avarutaiya seesharil anaekar avarudanaekooda nadavaamal pinvaangipponaarkal. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

67 Appoluthu Yesu panniruvaraiyum Nnokki: neengalum poyvida manathaayirukkireerkalo entar. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68 Seemon paethuru avarukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: aanndavarae, yaaridaththil povom, niththiyajeeva vasanangal ummidaththil unntae. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69 Neer jeevanulla thaevanutaiya kumaaranaakiya Kristhu entu naangal visuvaasiththum arinthum irukkirom entan. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

70 Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: panniruvaraakiya ungalai naan therinthukollavillaiyaa? Ungalukkullum oruvan pisaasaayirukkiraan entar. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

71 Seemonin kumaaranaakiya yoothaaskaariyoththu panniruvariloruvanaayirunthum, thammaik kaattikkodukkappokiravanaayirunthapatiyinaal avanaik kuriththu ippatich sonnaar. He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
