1 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகߠί யெரொபெயாமின் இருபத்தேழாம் வரρஷத்தில், ய ΤாவߠΩ் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சߠίாவின் குமாரன் அசரியா ராஜாவானான். In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2 அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது பதினாறு வயதாயிருந்து, ஐம்பத்திரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமிலே அரசாண்டான்; எருசலேம் நகரத்தாளான அவன் தாயின் பேர் எக்கோலியாள். Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

3 அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய அமத்சியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான். And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

9 தன் பிதாக்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10 யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லுூம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, ஜனத்தின் முன்பாக அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

13 யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில் யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லுூம் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் ஒரு மாதம் அரசாண்டான். Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

14 காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்து, யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லுூமைச் சமாரியாவிலே வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

18 இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகாதிருந்தான். And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19 அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பூல், தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் பூலின் உதவியினால் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை தன் கையில் பலப்படுத்தும்பொருட்டு, அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து வெள்ளி கொடுத்தான். And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

24 கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகவில்லை. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

28 கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29 இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பெக்காவின் நாட்களில் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசர் வந்து, ஈயோனையும், பெத்மாக்கா என்னும் ஆபேலையும், யனோவாகையும், கேதேசையும், ஆத்சோரையும், கீலேயாத்தையும், கலிலேயாவாகிய நப்தலி தேசமனைத்தையும் பிடித்து, குடிகளைச் சிறையாக அசீரியாவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான். In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30 ஏலாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஓசெயா ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவுக்கு விரோதமாய் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, அவனை உசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோதாமை இருபதாம் வருஷத்தில் வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

33 அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறுவருஷம் அரசாண்டான்; சாதோக்கின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவன் தாயின் பேர் எருசாள். Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்; தன் தகப்பனாகிய உசியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான். And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

37 அந்நாட்களிலே கர்த்தர் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனையும், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவையும் யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாக அனுப்பத்தொடங்கினார். In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 யோதாம் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் பட்டணத்திலே தன் பிதாக்களண்டையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாஸ் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

2 Avan raajaavaakirapothu pathinaaraு vayathaayirunthu, aimpaththiranndu varusham erusalaemilae arasaanndaan; Jerusalem nakaraththaalaana avan thaayin paer ekkoliyaal. 3 Avan than thakappanaakiya amathsiyaa seythapatiyellaam karththarin paarvaikkuch semmaiyaanathaich seythaan. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

4 Maetaikal maaththiram akattappadavillai; janangal innum maetaikal mael paliyittuth thoopangaattivanthaarkal. Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

5 Karththar intha raajaavai vaathiththathinaal, avan than marananaalmattum kushdarokiyaayirunthu, thaniththu oru veettilae vaasampannnninaan; raajaavin kumaaranaakiya yothaam aramanai visaarippukkaaranaayirunthu, thaesaththin janangalai niyaayam visaariththaan. And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 Asariyaavin matta varththamaanangalum, avan seythavai yaavum, yoothaavutaiya raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7 Asariyaa than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthapin, avanaith thaaveethin nakaraththilae avan pithaakkalanntaiyilae adakkampannnninaarkal; avan kumaaranaakiya yothaam avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8 Yoothaavin raajaavaakiya asariyaavin muppaththettam varushaththilae yeropeyaamin kumaaranaakiya sakariyaa isravaelinmael samaariyaavilae aaraுmaatham raajyapaarampannnni, In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

9 Than pithaakkal seythathupola, karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan; isravaelaip paavanjaெyyappannnnina naepaaththin kumaaranaakiya yeropeyaamin paavangalai avan vittu vilakavillai. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

10 Yaapaesin kumaaranaakiya salluூm avanukku virothamaakak kattuppaadupannnni, janaththin munpaaka avanai vettik kontupottu, avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Sakariyaavin matta varththamaanangal Israel raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12 Un kumaarar naalaam thalaimuraimattum isravaelutaiya singaasanaththin mael veettiruppaarkal entu Karththar yekoovotae sonna vaarththai ithuthaan; appatiyae aayittaு. This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

14 Kaathiyin kumaaranaakiya menaakaem thirsaavilirunthu samaariyaavukku vanthu, yaapaesin kumaaranaakiya salluூmaich samaariyaavilae vettik kontupottu, avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 Salluூmin matta varththamaanangalum, avan seytha kattuppaadum, Israel raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 Appoluthu menaakaem thipsaa pattanaththaiyum, athilulla yaavaiyum, thirsaathodangi athin ellaikalaiyum muriya atiththaan; avarkal thanakku vaasalaith thirakkavillai entu avarkalai vetti, avarkalutaiya karppavathikalaiyellaam geerippottan. Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

19 Aseeriyaavin raajaavaakiya pool, thaesaththirku virothamaay vanthaan; appoluthu menaakaem poolin uthaviyinaal raajyapaaraththai than kaiyil palappaduththumporuttu, avanukku aayiram thaalanthu velli koduththaan. And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20 Inthap panaththai aseeriyaavin raajaavukkuk kodukkumpati, menaakaem isravaelil palaththa aisuvariyavaankalidaththil aal ontirku aimpathu vellich sekkal thanntinaan; appatiyae aseeriyaavin raajaa thaesaththilae nirkaamal thirumpipponaan. And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

21 Menaakaemin matta varththamaanangalum, avan seythavai yaavum, Israel raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22 Menaakaem than pithaakkalodu niththiraiyatainthapin, avan kumaaranaakiya pekkaakiyaa avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23 Yoothaavin raajaavaakiya asariyaavin aimpathaam varushaththil, menaakaemin kumaaranaakiya pekkaakiyaa isravaelin mael raajaavaaki samaariyaavilae iranndu varusham raajyapaarampannnni, In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
