1 ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவின் பதினேழாம் வருஷத்தில் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோதாமின் குமாரன் ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவானான். In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.

2 ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபது வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறு வருஷம் அரசாண்டான்; அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல் தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்யாமல், Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.

3 இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழியிலே நடந்து, கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின ஜாதிகளுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே தன் குமாரனை முதலாய்த் தீக்கடக்கப்பண்ணினான். But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

4 மேடைகளிலும் மலைகளின்மேலும் பச்சையான சகல மரத்தின்கீழும் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டி வந்தான். And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

5 அப்பொழுது சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ரெமலியாவின் குமாரன் பெக்காவும், எருசலேமின்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ண வந்து ஆகாசை முற்றிக்கை போட்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் ஜெயிக்கமாட்டாதே போனார்கள். Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.

6 அக்காலத்தில் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீன் ஏலாத்தைத் திரும்பச் சீரியாவோடே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, யூதரை ஏலாத்திலிருந்து துரத்தினான்; சீரியர் ஏலாத்திற்கு வந்து இந்நாள் வரைக்கும் அவ்விடத்திலே குடியாயிருக்கிறார்கள். At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.

7 ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடத்திற்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: நான் உம்முடைய அடியானும் உம்முடைய குமாரனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; நீர் வந்து, எனக்கு விரோதமாயெழும்பின சீரியா ராஜாவின் கைக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவின் கைக்கும் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும் என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லி; So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.

And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.

9 அசீரியா ராஜா அவனுக்குச் செவி கொடுத்து, தமஸ்குவுக்குப்போய் அதைப் பிடித்து, அதின் குடிகளைக் கீர்பட்டணத்திற்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய், ரேத்சீனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான். And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.

10 அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு போய்த் தமஸ்குவிலுள்ள பலிபீடத்தைக் கண்டான். ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் அந்தப் பலிபீடத்தின் சாயலையும், அதினுடைய சகல வேலைப்பாடாகிய அதின் மாதிரியையும் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவுக்கு அனுப்பினான். And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.

11 ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து வருகிறதற்குள் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா அப்படிக்கொத்த பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் தமஸ்குவிலிருந்து அனுப்பின கட்டளையின்படியெல்லாம் செய்தான். And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus.

15 ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியாவை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெரிய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் நீ காலைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், மாலைப்போஜனபலியையும், ராஜாவின் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், அவருடைய போஜனபலியையும், தேசத்தினுடைய சகல ஜனத்தின் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும், அவர்கள் போஜனபலியையும், அவர்கள் பானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தி, அதின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும், பலிகளின் சகல இரத்தத்தையும் தெளிப்பாயாக; அந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடமோ, நான் சன்னதம் கேட்கிறதற்கு உதவும் என்றான். And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brazen altar shall be for me to enquire by.

16 ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் ஆசாரியனாகிய உரியா செய்தான். Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.

17 பின்னும் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் ஆதாரங்களின் சவுக்கைகளை அறுத்துவிட்டு, அவைகளின்மேலிருந்த கொப்பரைகளை எடுத்து, கடல்தொட்டியைக் கீழே நிற்கிற வெண்கல ரிஷபங்களின் மேலிருந்து இறக்கி, அதைக் கற்களின் தளவரிசையிலே வைத்து, And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brazen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones.

And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.

19 ஆகாஸ் செய்த மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது. Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

2 Aakaas raajaavaakirapothu irupathu vayathaayirunthu, erusalaemilae pathinaaraு varusham arasaanndaan; avan than thakappanaakiya thaaveethaippol than thaevanaakiya karththarin paarvaikkuch semmaiyaanathaich seyyaamal, Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.

3 Israel raajaakkalin valiyilae nadanthu, Karththar Israel puththirarukku munpaakath thuraththina jaathikalutaiya aruvaruppukalinpatiyae than kumaaranai muthalaayth theekkadakkappannnninaan. But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

4 Maetaikalilum malaikalinmaelum pachchaைyaana sakala maraththingeelum paliyittuth thoopangaatti vanthaan. And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

5 Appoluthu seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya raethseenum, isravaelin raajaavaakiya remaliyaavin kumaaran pekkaavum, erusalaeminmael yuththampannna vanthu aakaasai muttikkai pottarkal; aanaalum jeyikkamaattathae ponaarkal. Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.

6 Akkaalaththil seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya raethseen aelaaththaith thirumpach seeriyaavotae serththukkonndu, yootharai aelaaththilirunthu thuraththinaan; seeriyar aelaaththirku vanthu innaal varaikkum avvidaththilae kutiyaayirukkiraarkal. At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.

7 Aakaas aseeriyaavin raajaavaakiya thikilaathpilaesaridaththirku sthaanaapathikalai anuppi: naan ummutaiya atiyaanum ummutaiya kumaaranumaayirukkiraேn; neer vanthu, enakku virothamaayelumpina seeriyaa raajaavin kaikkum, Israel raajaavin kaikkum ennai neengalaakkividum entu sollachchaொlli; So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.

8 Karththarutaiya aalayaththilum raajaavin aramanaip pokkishangalilum akappatta velliyaiyum ponnaiyum eduththu, aseeriyaavin raajaavukkuk kaannikkaiyaaka anuppinaan. And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.

9 Aseeriyaa raajaa avanukkuch sevi koduththu, thamaskuvukkuppoy athaip pitiththu, athin kutikalaik geerpattanaththirkuch siraipitiththukkonndupoy, raethseenaik kontupottan. And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.

10 Appoluthu raajaavaakiya aakaas thamaskuvilulla aseeriyaavin raajaavaakiya thikilaathpilaesarukku ethirkonndu poyth thamaskuvilulla palipeedaththaik kanndaan. Raajaavaakiya aakaas anthap palipeedaththin saayalaiyum, athinutaiya sakala vaelaippaadaakiya athin maathiriyaiyum aasaariyanaakiya uriyaavukku anuppinaan. And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.

11 Raajaavaakiya aakaas thamaskuvilirunthu varukiratharkul aasaariyanaakiya uriyaa appatikkoththa palipeedaththaik katti, raajaavaakiya aakaas thamaskuvilirunthu anuppina kattalaiyinpatiyellaam seythaan. And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus.

12 Raajaa thamaskuvilirunthu vanthapothu, avan anthap palipeedaththaip paarththu, anthap palipeedaththanntaiyil sernthu, athinmael paliyittu, And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king approached to the altar, and offered thereon.

13 Than sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum than pojanapaliyaiyum thakaniththu, than paanapaliyai vaarththu, than samaathaanapalikalin iraththaththai anthap palipeedaththinmael theliththaan. And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.

14 Karththarin sannithiyil iruntha vennkalap palipeedaththai avan than palipeedaththirkum karththarin aalayaththirkum naduvae aalayaththin mukappilirunthu eduththu, athaith than palipeedaththirku vadapuramaay vaiththaan. And he brought also the brazen altar, which was before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.

15 Raajaavaakiya aakaas aasaariyanaakiya uriyaavai Nnokki: inthap periya palipeedaththinmael nee kaalaich sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum, maalaippojanapaliyaiyum, raajaavin sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum, avarutaiya pojanapaliyaiyum, thaesaththinutaiya sakala janaththin sarvaanga thakanapaliyaiyum, avarkal pojanapaliyaiyum, avarkal paanapalikalaiyum seluththi, athinmael sarvaanga thakanangalin sakala iraththaththaiyum, palikalin sakala iraththaththaiyum thelippaayaaka; antha vennkalap palipeedamo, naan sannatham kaetkiratharku uthavum entan. 16 Raajaavaakiya aakaas kattalaiyittapatiyellaam aasaariyanaakiya uriyaa seythaan. Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.

17 Pinnum raajaavaakiya aakaas aathaarangalin savukkaikalai araுththuvittu, avaikalinmaeliruntha kopparaikalai eduththu, kadalthottiyaik geelae nirkira vennkala rishapangalin maelirunthu irakki, athaik karkalin thalavarisaiyilae vaiththu, And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brazen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones.

18 Aalayaththin arukae kattiyiruntha oyvunaalil manndapaththaiyum, raajaa piravaesikkum manndapaththaiyum, aseeriyarutaiya raajaavinimiththam karththarutaiya aalayaththilirunthu appurappaduththinaan. 20 Aakaas than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthapin, avan thaaveethin nakaraththil than pithaakkalanntaiyilae adakkampannnappattan; avan kumaaranaakiya esekkiyaa avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
