அவன் தேசத்தையும் ஆலயத்தையும் சுத்திகரித்தபின்பு, அவன் தன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் பதினெட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே, அத்சலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சாப்பானையும், நகரத்தலைவனாகிய மாசெயாவையும், யோவாகாசின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாக் என்னும் மந்திரியையும், தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைப் பழுதுபார்க்கும்படிக்கு அனுப்பினான்.

யோசியா ஆட்சிப்பொறுப்பேற்ற 18வது ஆண்டில், சாப்பான், மாசெயா மற்றும் யோவா ஆகியோரை தனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தை மீண்டும் கட்டி அமைக்க அனுப்பினான். சாப்பானின் தந்தை பெயர் அத்சலியா. மாசெயா என்பவன் நகரத் தலைவன் ஆவான். யோவாவின் தந்தை பெயர் யோவாகாஸ் ஆகும். நடக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சிகளையெல்லாம் எழுதுபவன் யோவா ஆவான். (அவன் பதிவு செய்பவன்) எனவே யோசியா ஆலயம் பழுது பார்க்கப்படவேண்டும் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான். அதன் மூலம் யூதாவையும், ஆலயத்தையும் சுத்தப்படுத்தலாம் என்று நம்பினான்.
