பின்பு அவர் அவனைத் தள்ளி, தாவீதை அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தி, ஈசாயின் குமாரனாகிய தாவீதை என் இருதயத்துக்கு ஏற்றவனாகக் கண்டேன்; எனக்குச் சித்தமானவைகளையெல்லாம் அவன் செய்வான் என்று அவனைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சியுங் கொடுத்தார்.

பின்பு தேவன் சவுலைத் தள்ளி, தாவீதை அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தினார். ஈசாயின் மகனாகிய தாவீதை என் மனதிற்கு பிடித்தவனாகப் பார்த்தேன்; எனக்கு விருப்பமானவைகளையெல்லாம் அவன் செய்வான் என்று அவனைக்குறித்து சாட்சியும் சொன்னார்.
