விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபேல் காயீனுடைய பலியிலும் மேன்மையானபலியை தேவனுக்குச் செலுத்தினான்; அதினாலே அவன் நீதிமானென்று சாட்சிபெற்றான்; அவனுடைய காணிக்கைகளைக்குறித்து தேவனே சாட்சிகொடுத்தார்; அவன் மரித்தும் இன்னும் பேசுகிறான்.

விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபேல் காயீனுடைய பலியைவிட மேன்மையான பலியை தேவனுக்குச் செலுத்தினான்; அதினாலே அவன் நீதிமான் என்று சாட்சிபெற்றான்; அவனுடைய காணிக்கைகளைப்பற்றி தேவனே சாட்சிகொடுத்தார்; அவன் மரித்தும் இன்னும் பேசுகிறான்.

காயீனும் ஆபேலும் தேவனுக்குப் பலி கொடுத்தார்கள். ஆனால் ஆபேலின் பலி, அவனது விசுவாசம் காரணமாக உயர்வாகக் கருதப்பட்டது. தேவனும் அதையே விரும்பி ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். ஆகவே அவனை நல்லவன் என்று அழைத்தார். அவன் இறந்து போனான். எனினும் அவன் தன் விசுவாசத்தின் வழியே இன்னும் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான்.
