Judges 19 in Tamil

1 இஸ்ரவேலில் ராஜா இல்லாத அந்நாட்களிலே, எப்பிராயீம் மலைகள் அருகே பரதேசியாய்த் தங்கின ஒரு லேவியன் இருந்தான்; அவன் யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லெகேம் ஊராளாகிய ஒரு ஸ்திரீயைத் தனக்கு மறுமனையாட்டியாகக் கொண்டிருந்தான். And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.

2 அவள் அவனுக்குத் துரோகமாய் விபசாரம்பண்ணி, அவனை விட்டு, யூதா தேசத்துப் பெத்லெகேம் ஊரிலிருக்கிற தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்குப் போய், அங்கே நாலுமாதம் வரைக்கும் இருந்தாள். And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months.

4 ஸ்திரீயின் தகப்பனாகிய அவனுடைய மாமன் அவனை இருத்திக்கொண்டதினால், மூன்றுநாள் அவனோடிருந்தான்; அவர்கள் அங்கே புசித்துக் குடித்து இராத்தங்கினார்கள். And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

5 நாலாம்நாள் காலமே அவர்கள் எழுந்திருந்தபோது, அவன் பிரயாணப்படுகையில், ஸ்திரீயின் தகப்பன் தன் மருமகனை நோக்கி: கொஞ்சம் அப்பம் புசித்து, உன் மனதைத் தேற்றிக்கொள், பிற்பாடு நீங்கள் போகலாம் என்றான். And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.

7 அப்படியே போகிறதற்கு அந்த மனுஷன் எழுந்தபோது, அவனுடைய மாமன் அவனை வருந்திக்கொண்டதினால், அவன் அன்று இராத்திரியும் அங்கே இருந்தான். And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.

8 ஐந்தாம் நாளிலே அவன் போகிறதற்கு அதிகாலமே எழுந்திருந்தபோது, ஸ்திரீயின் தகப்பன்: இருந்து உன் இருதயத்தைத் தேற்றிக்கொள் என்றான்; அப்படியே அந்திநேரமட்டும் தாமதித்திருந்து, இருவரும் போஜனம்பண்ணினார்கள். And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.

And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.

10 அந்த மனுஷனோ, இராத்திரிக்கு இருக்க மனதில்லாமல், இரண்டு கழுதைகள் மேலும் சேணம்வைத்து, தன் மறுமனையாட்டியைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, எழுந்து புறப்பட்டு, எருசலேமாகிய எபூசுக்கு நேராக வந்தான். But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.

11 அவர்கள் எபூசுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வருகையில், பொழுதுபோகிறதாயிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானை நோக்கி: எபூசியர் இருக்கிற இந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்குப் போய், அங்கே இராத்தங்கலாம் என்றான். And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.

12 அதற்கு அவன் எஜமான் நாம் வழியைவிட்டு, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில்லாத மறுஜாதியார் இருக்கிற பட்டணத்துக்குப் போகப்படாது; அப்பாலே கிபியா மட்டும் போவோம் என்று சொல்லி, And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.

13 தன் வேலைக்காரனைப் பார்த்து: நாம் கிபியாவிலாகிலும் ராமாவிலாகிலும் இராத்தங்கும்படிக்கு, அவைகளில் ஒரு இடத்திற்குப் போய்ச் சேரும்படி நடந்து போவோம் வா என்றான். And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.

14 அப்படியே அப்பாலே நடந்துபோனார்கள்; பென்யமீன் நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த கிபியாவின் கிட்ட வருகையில், சூரியன் அஸ்தமனமாயிற்று. And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin.

15 ஆகையால் கிபியாவிலே வந்து இராத்தங்கும்படிக்கு, வழியைவிட்டு அவ்விடத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்; அவன் பட்டணத்துக்குள் போனபோது, இராத்தங்குகிறதற்கு அவர்களை வீட்டிலே சேர்த்துக்கொள்வார் இல்லாததினால், வீதியில் உட்கார்ந்தான். And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.

16 வயலிலே வேலைசெய்து, மாலையிலே திரும்புகிற ஒரு கிழவன் வந்தான்; அந்த மனுஷனும் எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தான், அவன் கிபியாவிலே சஞ்சரிக்கவந்தான்; அவ்விடத்து மனுஷரோ பென்யமீனர். And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.

17 அந்தக் கிழவன் தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பட்டணத்து வீதியில் அந்தப் பிரயாணக்காரன் இருக்கக் கண்டு: எங்கே போகிறாய், எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தாய் என்று கேட்டான். And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?

18 அதற்கு அவன்: நாங்கள் யூதாவிலுள்ள ஊராகிய பெத்லெகேமிலிருந்து வந்து, எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தின் புறங்கள்மட்டும் போகிறோம்; நான் அவ்விடத்தான்; யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லெகேம் மட்டும் போய்வந்தேன், நான் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குப் போகிறேன்; இங்கே என்னை வீட்டிலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார் ஒருவரும் இல்லை. And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.

19 எங்கள் கழுதைகளுக்கு வைக்கோலும் தீபனமும் உண்டு; எனக்கும் உமது அடியாளுக்கும் உமது அடியானோடிருக்கிற வேலைக்காரனுக்கும் அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமும் உண்டு; ஒன்றிலும் குறைவில்லை என்றான். Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.

20 அப்பொழுது அந்தக் கிழவன்: உனக்குச் சமாதானம்; உன் குறைவுகளெல்லாம் என்மேல் இருக்கட்டும்; வீதியிலேமாத்திரம் இராத்தங்கவேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லி, And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.

21 அவனைத் தன் வீட்டுக்குள் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், கழுதைகளுக்குத் தீபனம்போட்டான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் கால்களைக் கழுவிக்கொண்டு, புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள். So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

22 அவர்கள் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிற போது, இதோ, பேலியாளின் மக்களாகிய அந்த ஊர் மனுஷரில் சிலர் அந்த வீட்டைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, கதவைத் தட்டி: உன் வீட்டிலே வந்த அந்த மனுஷனை நாங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு, வெளியே கொண்டு வா என்று வீட்டுக்காரனாகிய அந்தக் கிழவனோடே சொன்னார்கள். Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

23 அப்பொழுது வீட்டுக்காரனாகிய அந்த மனுஷன் வெளியே அவர்களிடத்தில் போய்: இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டாம்; என் சகோதரரே, இப்படிப்பட்ட பொல்லாப்பைச் செய்யவேண்டாம்; அந்த மனுஷன் என் வீட்டிற்குள் வந்திருக்கையில், இப்படிக்கொத்த மதிகேட்டைச் செய்யீர்களாக. And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

24 இதோ, கன்னியாஸ்திரீயாகிய என் மகளும், அந்த மனிதனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டியும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களை உங்களிடத்தில் வெளியே கொண்டுவருகிறேன்; அவர்களை அவமானப்படுத்தி உங்கள் பார்வைக்குச் சரிபோனபிரகாரம் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யுங்கள்; ஆனாலும் இந்த மனுஷனுக்கு அப்படிப்பட்ட மதிகேடான காரியத்தைச் செய்யவேண்டாம் என்றான். Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

25 அந்த மனுஷர் அவன் சொல்லைக் கேட்கவில்லை; அப்பொழுது அந்த மனுஷன் தன் மறுமனையாட்டியைப் பிடித்து, அவர்களிடத்தில் வெளியே கொண்டுவந்துவிட்டான்; அவர்கள் அவளை அறிந்து கொண்டு, இராமுழுதும் விடியுங்காலமட்டும் அவளை இலச்சையாய் நடத்தி, கிழக்கு வெளுக்கும்போது அவளைப் போகவிட்டார்கள். But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

26 விடியுங்காலத்திற்கு முன்னே அந்த ஸ்திரீ வந்து, வெளிச்சமாகுமட்டும் அங்கே தன் எஜமான் இருந்த வீட்டு வாசற்படியிலே விழுந்துகிடந்தாள். Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

27 அவள் எஜமான் காலமே எழுந்திருந்து வீட்டின் கதவைத் திறந்து, தன் வழியே போகப் புறப்படுகிறபோது, இதோ, அவன் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய ஸ்திரீ வீட்டுவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகத் தன் கைகளை வாசற்படியின்மேல் வைத்தவளாய்க் கிடந்தாள். And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.

And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.

29 அவன் தன் வீட்டுக்கு வந்தபோது, ஒரு கத்தியை எடுத்து, தன் மறுமனையாட்டியைப் பிடித்து, அவளை அவளுடைய எலும்புகளோடுங்கூடப் பன்னிரண்டு துண்டமாக்கி, இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளுக்கெல்லாம் அனுப்பினான். And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

30 அப்பொழுது அதைக் கண்டவர்களெல்லாரும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாள் முதற்கொண்டு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இதைப்போலொத்தகாரியம் செய்யப்படவும் இல்லை, காணப்படவும் இல்லை; இந்தக் காரியத்தை யோசித்து ஆலோசனைபண்ணி செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்கள். And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.

1 Isravaelil raajaa illaatha annaatkalilae, eppiraayeem malaikal arukae parathaesiyaayth thangina oru laeviyan irunthaan; avan yoothaavilulla pethlekaem ooraalaakiya oru sthireeyaith thanakku maraுmanaiyaattiyaakak konntirunthaan. And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months.

3 Aval purushan avalotae nalavu sollavum, avalaith thirumpa alaiththu varavum, iranndu kaluthaikalai aayaththappaduththi, than vaelaikkaaranaik koottik konndu, avalidaththukkup ponaan; appoluthu aval avanaith than thakappan veettukku alaiththukkonndu ponaal; sthireeyin thakappan avanaik kanndapothu santhoshamaay aettaுkkonndu, And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.

4 Sthireeyin thakappanaakiya avanutaiya maaman avanai iruththikkonndathinaal, moontunaal avanotirunthaan; avarkal angae pusiththuk kutiththu iraaththanginaarkal. And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

5 Naalaamnaal kaalamae avarkal elunthirunthapothu, avan pirayaanappadukaiyil, sthireeyin thakappan than marumakanai Nnokki: konjam appam pusiththu, un manathaith thaettikkol, pirpaadu neengal pokalaam entan. And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.

6 Avarkal utkaarnthu, iruvarumkoodap pusiththuk kutiththaarkal; sthireeyin thakappan antha manushanaip paarththu: nee thayavuseythu, un iruthayam makilchchiyataiya iraaththirikkum iru entan. And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.

7 Appatiyae pokiratharku antha manushan elunthapothu, avanutaiya maaman avanai varunthikkonndathinaal, avan antu iraaththiriyum angae irunthaan. And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.

8 Ainthaam naalilae avan pokiratharku athikaalamae elunthirunthapothu, sthireeyin thakappan: irunthu un iruthayaththaith thaettikkol entan; appatiyae anthinaeramattum thaamathiththirunthu, iruvarum pojanampannnninaarkal. And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.

9 Pinpu avanum, avan maraுmanaiyaattiyum, avan vaelaikkaaranum pokiratharku elunthirunthapothu, sthireeyin thakappanaakiya avanutaiya maaman: itho, poluthu asthamikkappokirathu, saayangaalamumaayittaு; ingae iraaththirikku irungal; paar, maalaimayangukira vaelaiyaayittaு: un iruthayam santhoshamaayirukkumpati, ingae iraaththangi naalai iruttaோtae elunthirunthu, un veettukkup pokalaam entan. And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.

10 Antha manushano, iraaththirikku irukka manathillaamal, iranndu kaluthaikal maelum senamvaiththu, than maraுmanaiyaattiyaik koottikkonndu, elunthu purappattu, erusalaemaakiya epoosukku naeraaka vanthaan. But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.

11 Avarkal epoosukkuch sameepamaay varukaiyil, poluthupokirathaayirunthathu; appoluthu vaelaikkaaran than ejamaanai Nnokki: epoosiyar irukkira inthap pattanaththirkup poy, angae iraaththangalaam entan. And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.

12 Atharku avan ejamaan naam valiyaivittu, Israel puththirarillaatha maraுjaathiyaar irukkira pattanaththukkup pokappadaathu; appaalae kipiyaa mattum povom entu solli, And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.

13 Than vaelaikkaaranaip paarththu: naam kipiyaavilaakilum raamaavilaakilum iraaththangumpatikku, avaikalil oru idaththirkup poych serumpati nadanthu povom vaa entan. And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.

14 Appatiyae appaalae nadanthuponaarkal; penyameen naattaைch serntha kipiyaavin kitta varukaiyil, sooriyan asthamanamaayittaு. And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin.

15 Aakaiyaal kipiyaavilae vanthu iraaththangumpatikku, valiyaivittu avvidaththirkup ponaarkal; avan pattanaththukkul ponapothu, iraaththangukiratharku avarkalai veettilae serththukkolvaar illaathathinaal, veethiyil utkaarnthaan. And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.

16 Vayalilae vaelaiseythu, maalaiyilae thirumpukira oru kilavan vanthaan; antha manushanum eppiraayeem malaiththaesaththaan, avan kipiyaavilae sanjarikkavanthaan; avvidaththu manusharo penyameenar. And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.

17 Anthak kilavan than kannkalai aeraெduththup pattanaththu veethiyil anthap pirayaanakkaaran irukkak kanndu: engae pokiraay, engaeyirunthu vanthaay entu kaettan. And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?

18 Atharku avan: naangal yoothaavilulla ooraakiya pethlekaemilirunthu vanthu, eppiraayeem malaiththaesaththin purangalmattum pokirom; naan avvidaththaan; yoothaavilulla pethlekaem mattum poyvanthaen, naan karththarutaiya aalayaththukkup pokiraேn; ingae ennai veettilae aettaுkkolvaar oruvarum illai. And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.

19 Engal kaluthaikalukku vaikkolum theepanamum unndu; enakkum umathu atiyaalukkum umathu atiyaanotirukkira vaelaikkaaranukkum appamum thiraatcharasamum unndu; ontilum kuraivillai entan. Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.

20 Appoluthu anthak kilavan: unakkuch samaathaanam; un kuraivukalellaam enmael irukkattum; veethiyilaemaaththiram iraaththangavaenndaam entu solli, And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.

21 Avanaith than veettukkul alaiththukkonndupoy, kaluthaikalukkuth theepanampottan; avarkal thangal kaalkalaik kaluvikkonndu, pusiththuk kutiththaarkal. So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.

22 Avarkal manamakilchchiyaayirukkira pothu, itho, paeliyaalin makkalaakiya antha oor manusharil silar antha veettaைch soolnthukonndu, kathavaith thatti: un veettilae vantha antha manushanai naangal ariyumpatikku, veliyae konndu vaa entu veettukkaaranaakiya anthak kilavanotae sonnaarkal. Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

23 Appoluthu veettukkaaranaakiya antha manushan veliyae avarkalidaththil poy: ippatich seyyavaenndaam; en sakothararae, ippatippatta pollaappaich seyyavaenndaam; antha manushan en veettirkul vanthirukkaiyil, ippatikkoththa mathikaettaைch seyyeerkalaaka. Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

25 Antha manushar avan sollaik kaetkavillai; appoluthu antha manushan than maraுmanaiyaattiyaip pitiththu, avarkalidaththil veliyae konnduvanthuvittan; avarkal avalai arinthu konndu, iraamuluthum vitiyungaalamattum avalai ilachchaைyaay nadaththi, kilakku velukkumpothu avalaip pokavittarkal. But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

26 Vitiyungaalaththirku munnae antha sthiree vanthu, velichchamaakumattum angae than ejamaan iruntha veettu vaasarpatiyilae vilunthukidanthaal. Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

27 Aval ejamaan kaalamae elunthirunthu veettin kathavaith thiranthu, than valiyae pokap purappadukirapothu, itho, avan maraுmanaiyaattiyaakiya sthiree veettuvaasalukku munpaakath than kaikalai vaasarpatiyinmael vaiththavalaayk kidanthaal. And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.

28 Elunthiru povom entu avan avalotae sonnatharkup pirathiyuththaram pirakkavillai. Appoluthu antha manushan avalaik kaluthaiyinmael pottukkonndu, pirayaanappattu, than idaththirkup ponaan. And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.

And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.
