பஸ்கூரும் செப்பனியாவும் எரேமியாவிடம், “எங்களுக்காக கர்த்தரிடம் ஜெபம் செய். என்ன நிகழும் என்று கர்த்தரிடம் கேள். நாங்கள் அறிந்துக்கொள்ள விரும்புகிறோம். ஏனென்றால் பாபிலோனின் அரசனான நேபுகாத்நேச்சர் எங்களைத் தாக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான். கர்த்தர் கடந்த காலத்தில் செய்ததுபோன்று எங்களுக்குப் பெருஞ்செயல்களை ஒருவேளை செய்வார். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் எங்களைத் தாக்குவதை நிறுத்தி விலகும்படி கர்த்தர் செய்வார்” என்றனர்.
