இதோ, கொத்தளங்கள் போடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; நகரத்தைப் பிடிக்க வருகிறார்கள்; பட்டயத்தினிமித்தமும், பஞ்சத்தினிமித்தமும், கொள்ளைநோயினிமித்தமும் இந்த நகரம் அதற்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற கல்தேயரின் கையிலே கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது; நீர் சொன்னபடி சம்பவிக்கிறது; இதோ, நீர் அதைப் பார்க்கிறீர்.

“இப்பொழுது, நகரத்தைப் பகைவர்கள் சூழ்ந்துக்கொண்டனர். அவர்கள் எடுசுவர்களைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். எனவே அவர்கள் எருசலேம் சுவர்களைத் தாண்டி கைப்பற்றிவிடுவார்கள். அவர்கள் தம் பட்டயங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தியும் பசியாலும் பயங்கரமான நோயாலும் பாபிலோனியர்கள் எருசலேம் நகரைத் தோற்கடித்துவிடுவார்கள். இப்போது பாபிலோனியப்படை எருசலேம் நகரை தாக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் சொன்னவை நிகழும். இப்பொழுது இது நிகழ்ந்துக்கொண்டிருப்பதை நீர் பார்க்கிறீர்.
