ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனை நிந்திக்கும்படி, அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய தன் ஆண்டவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட ரப்சாக்கே சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிறார்; உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிற வார்த்தைகளினிமித்தம் தண்டனைசெய்வார்; ஆகையால், இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்வீராக என்று எசேக்கியா சொல்லச்சொன்னார் என்றார்கள்.

ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனை நிந்திக்கும்படி, அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய தன் எஜமானனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட ரப்சாக்கே சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிறார்; உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கேட்டிருக்கிற வார்த்தைகளின்காரணமாக தண்டிப்பார்; ஆகையால், இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்செய்வீராக என்று எசேக்கியா சொல்லச்சொன்னார் என்றார்கள்.

(உமது தேவனான கர்த்தர் தளபதி சொன்னவற்றைக் கேட்டிருக்கலாம்). அசீரியா அரசன் தளபதியை அனுப்பி, ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனைப் பற்றி மோசமாகப் பேசும்படி அனுப்பியிருக்கிறான். உமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்தக் கெட்ட வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்பார். ஒருவேளை சத்துரு தப்பானவன் என்று கர்த்தர் நிரூபிக்கச் செய்வார்! தயவுசெய்து இஸ்ரவேலில் மீதியாக இருக்கிற சில ஜனங்களுக்காக ஜெபம் செய்யும்” என்றனர்.

தன் தலைவனாகிய அசீரிய மன்னனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட இரப்சாக்கே உயிராற்றல் நிறை கடவுளை இழித்துரைத்த சொற்களை ஒருவேளை உம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் கேட்டிருக்கக் கூடும். உம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் அச்சொற்களை முன்னிட்டு அவர்களைக் கண்டித்தாலும் கண்டிப்பார். ஆதலால், இன்னும் உயிரோடிருக்கும் எஞ்சியோருக்காக உம் மன்றாட்டை எழுப்பியருளும்” என்றார்கள்.

Jeevanulla thaevanai ninthikkumpati, aseeriyaa raajaavaakiya than aanndavanaal anuppappatta rapsaakkae sonna vaarththaikalai umathu thaevanaakiya Karththar kaettirukkiraar; umathu thaevanaakiya Karththar kaettirukkira vaarththaikalinimiththam thanndanaiseyvaar; aakaiyaal, innum meethiyaayirukkiravarkalukkaaka vinnnappanjaெyveeraaka entu esekkiyaa sollachchaொnnaar entarkal.
