Psalm 19 in Tamil

1 வானங்கள் தேவனுடைய மகிமையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது, ஆகாயவிரிவு அவருடைய கரங்களின் கிரியையை அறிவிக்கிறது. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 பகலுக்குப் பகல் வார்த்தைகளைப் பொழிகிறது, இரவுக்கு இரவு அறிவைத் தெரிவிக்கிறது. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 அவைகளுக்குப் பேச்சுமில்லை, வார்த்தையுமில்லை, அவைகளின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படுவதுமில்லை. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 ஆகிலும் அவைகளின் சத்தம் பூமியெங்கும், அவைகளின் வசனங்கள் பூச்சக்கரத்துக் கடைசிவரைக்கும் செல்லுகிறது; அவைகளில் சூரியனுக்கு ஒரு கூடாரத்தை ஸ்தாபித்தார். Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 அது தன் மணவறையிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற மணவாளனைப்போலிருந்து, பராக்கிரமசாலியைப்போல் தன் பாதையில் ஓட மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறது. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 அது வானங்களின் ஒரு முனையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, அவைகளின் மறுமுனை வரைக்கும் சுற்றியோடுகிறது; அதின் காந்திக்கு மறைவானது ஒன்றுமில்லை. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 கர்த்தருடைய வேதம் குறைவற்றதும் ஆத்துமாவை உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய சாட்சி சத்தியமும், பேதையை ஞானியாக்குகிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் செம்மையும், இருதயத்தைச் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனை தூய்மையும், கண்களைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் சுத்தமும், என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் உண்மையும், அவைகள் அனைத்தும் நீதியுமாயிருக்கிறது. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10 அவைகள் பொன்னிலும், மிகுந்த பசும்பொன்னிலும் விரும்பப்படத்தக்கதும், தேனிலும் தேன்கூட்டிலிருந்து ஒழுகும் தெளிதேனிலும் மதுரமுள்ளதுமாய் இருக்கிறது. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 அன்றியும் அவைகளால் உமது அடியேன் எச்சரிக்கப்படுகிறேன்; அவைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால் மிகுந்த பலன் உண்டு. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 தன் பிழைகளை உணருகிறவன் யார்? மறைவான குற்றங்களுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கும். Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 துணிகரமான பாவங்களுக்கு உமது அடியேனை விலக்கிக்காரும், அவைகள் என்னை ஆண்டுகொள்ள ஒட்டாதிரும்; அப்பொழுது நான் உத்தமனாகி, பெரும்பாதகத்துக்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பேன். Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 என் கன்மலையும் என் மீட்பருமாகிய கர்த்தாவே, என் வாயின் வார்த்தைகளும், என் இருதயத்தின் தியானமும், உமது சமுகத்தில் பிரீதியாயிருப்பதாக. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

1 Vaanangal thaevanutaiya makimaiyai velippaduththukirathu, aakaayavirivu avarutaiya karangalin kiriyaiyai arivikkirathu. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Pakalukkup pakal vaarththaikalaip polikirathu, iravukku iravu arivaith therivikkirathu. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 Avaikalukkup paechchumillai, vaarththaiyumillai, avaikalin saththam kaetkappaduvathumillai. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Aakilum avaikalin saththam poomiyengum, avaikalin vasanangal poochchakkaraththuk kataisivaraikkum sellukirathu; avaikalil sooriyanukku oru koodaaraththai sthaapiththaar. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Athu than manavaraiyilirunthu purappadukira manavaalanaippolirunthu, paraakkiramasaaliyaippol than paathaiyil oda makilchchiyaayirukkirathu. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

7 Karththarutaiya vaetham kuraivattathum aaththumaavai uyirppikkirathumaayirukkirathu; karththarutaiya saatchi saththiyamum, paethaiyai njaaniyaakkukirathumaayirukkirathu. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 Karththarutaiya niyaayangal semmaiyum, iruthayaththaich santhoshippikkirathumaayirukkirathu; karththarutaiya karpanai thooymaiyum, kannkalaith thelivikkirathumaayirukkirathu. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 Karththarukkup payappadukira payam suththamum, entaikkum nilaikkirathumaayirukkirathu; karththarutaiya niyaayangal unnmaiyum, avaikal anaiththum neethiyumaayirukkirathu. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10 Avaikal ponnilum, mikuntha pasumponnilum virumpappadaththakkathum, thaenilum thaenkoottilirunthu olukum thelithaenilum mathuramullathumaay irukkirathu. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Antiyum avaikalaal umathu atiyaen echcharikkappadukiraேn; avaikalaik kaikkollukirathinaal mikuntha palan unndu. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Than pilaikalai unarukiravan yaar? Maraivaana kuttangalukku ennai neengalaakkum. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Thunnikaramaana paavangalukku umathu atiyaenai vilakkikkaarum, avaikal ennai aanndukolla ottathirum; appoluthu naan uththamanaaki, perumpaathakaththukku neengalaayiruppaen. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 En kanmalaiyum en meetparumaakiya karththaavae, en vaayin vaarththaikalum, en iruthayaththin thiyaanamum, umathu samukaththil pireethiyaayiruppathaaka. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
