1 யோசுவா வயதுசென்று முதிர்ந்தவனானபோது, கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ வயதுசென்றவனும் முதிர்ந்தவனுமானாய்; சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டிய தேசம் இன்னும் மகா விஸ்தாரமாயிருக்கிறது. Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

2 மீதியாயிருக்கிற தேசம் எவையெனில், எகிப்துக்கு எதிரான சீகோர் ஆறுதுவக்கிக் கானானியரைச் சேர்ந்ததாக எண்ணப்படும் வடக்கேயிருக்கிற எக்ரோனின் எல்லைமட்டுமுள்ள பெலிஸ்தரின் எல்லா எல்லைகளும், கெசூரிம் முழுவதும், This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

3 காசா, அஸ்தோத், அஸ்கலோன், காத், எக்ரோன் என்கிற பட்டணங்களிலிருக்கிற பெலிஸ்தருடைய ஐந்து அதிபதிகளின் நாடும், ஆவியரின் நாடும், From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:

4 தெற்கே துவக்கி ஆப்பெக்மட்டும் எமோரியர் எல்லைவரைக்கும் இருக்கிற கானானியரின் சகல தேசமும், சீதோனியருக்கடுத்த மெயாரா நாடும், From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:

5 கிப்லியரின் நாடும், சூரியோதயமாய்ப் புறத்தில் எர்மோன் மலையடிவாரத்தில் இருக்கிற பாகால்காத் முதற்கொண்டு ஆமாத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்குமட்டுமுள்ள லீபனோன் முழுவதும், And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

6 லீபனோன் துவக்கி மிஸ்ரபோத்மாயீம் மட்டும் மலைகளில் குடியிருக்கிற யாவருடைய நாடும், சீதோனியருடைய எல்லா நாடும்தானே. நான் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்துவேன்; நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, நீ இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகச் சீட்டுகளைமாத்திரம் போட்டுத் தேசத்தைப் பங்கிடவேண்டும். All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 ஆதலால் இந்தத் தேசத்தை ஒன்பது கோத்திரங்களுக்கும், மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்துக்கும் சுதந்தரமாகப் பங்கிடு என்றார். Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

8 மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாரும் ரூபனியரும் காத்தியரும் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தை அடைந்து தீர்ந்தது; அதைக் கர்த்தரின் தாசனாகிய மோசே யோர்தானுக்கு அப்புறத்தில் கிழக்கே அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான். With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;

9 அர்னோன் ஆற்றங்கரையிலிருக்கிற ஆரோவேரும், நதியின் மத்தியிலிருக்கிற பட்டணமும் துவக்கித் தீபோன்மட்டுமிருக்கிற மெதபாவின் சமனான பூமியாவையும், From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

10 எஸ்போனிலிருந்து அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் எல்லைமட்டும் ஆண்ட எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்குரிய சகல பட்டணங்களையும், And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;

11 கீலேயாத்தையும், கெசூரியர் மாகாத்தியருடைய எல்லையிலுள்ள நாட்டையும், எர்மோன் மலை முழுவதையும், And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

12 அஸ்தரோத்திலும் எத்ரேயிலும் ஆண்டு, மோசே முறிய அடித்துத் துரத்தின இராட்சதரில் மீதியாயிருந்த பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகுக்குச் சல்காமட்டுமிருந்த பாசான் முழுவதையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான். All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

13 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோ கெசூரியரையும் மாகாத்தியரையும் துரத்திவிடவில்லை, கெசூரியரும் மாகாத்தியரும் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலின் நடுவே குடியிருக்கிறார்கள். Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.

14 லேவியரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குமாத்திரம் அவன் சுதந்தரம் கொடுக்கவில்லை; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, அவருடைய தகனபலிகளே அவர்களுடைய சுதந்தரம். Only unto the tribes of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

15 மோசே ரூபன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களுக்குத் தக்கதாகச் சுதந்தரம் கொடுத்தான். And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.

16 அர்னோன் ஆற்றங்கரையிலிருக்கிற ஆரோவேரும், ஆற்றின் மத்தியிலிருக்கிற பட்டணம் தொடங்கி மெதெபாவரைக்கும்முள்ள சமபூமி முழுவதும், And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;

17 சமபூமியிலிருக்கிற எஸ்போனும், அதின் எல்லாப்பட்டணங்களுமாகிய தீபோன், பாமோத்பாகால், பெத்பாகால்மெயோன், Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon,

18 யாக்சா, கெதெமோத், மேபாகாத், And Jahaza, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

19 கீரியாத்தாயீம், சிப்மா, பள்ளத்தாக்கின் மலையிலுள்ள செரெத்சகார், And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zarethshahar in the mount of the valley,

20 பெத்பெயோர், அஸ்தோத்பிஸ்கா, பெத்யெசிமோத் முதலான And Bethpeor, and Ashdothpisgah, and Bethjeshimoth,

21 சமபூமியிலுள்ள எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களும், எஸ்போனில் ஆண்டிருந்த சீகோன் என்னும் எமோரியருடைய ராஜாவின் ராஜ்யம் முழுவதும் அவர்கள் எல்லைக்குள்ளாயிற்று, அந்தச் சீகோனையும், தேசத்திலே குடியிருந்து சீகோனின் அதிபதியாயிருந்த ஏவி, ரெக்கேம், சூர், ஊர், ரேபா என்னும் மீதியானின் பிரபுக்களையும் மோசே வெட்டிப்போட்டான். And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

22 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் வெட்டின மற்றவர்களோடுங் கூட, பேயோரின் குமாரனாகிய பாலாம் என்னும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவனையும் பட்டயத்தினால் வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள். Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.

23 அப்படியே யோர்தானும் அதற்கடுத்ததும் ரூபன் புத்திரரின் எல்லையாயிற்று, இந்தப்பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் ரூபன் புத்திரருக்கு, அவர்கள் வம்சங்களின்படி வந்த சுதந்தரம். And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

24 காத்புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு மோசே அவர்கள் வம்சங்களுக்குத் தக்கதாகக் கொடுத்தது என்னவெனில்: And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.

25 யாசேரும், கீலேயாத்தின் சகல பட்டணங்களும், ரபாவுக்கு எதிரே இருக்கிற ஆரோவேர்மட்டுமுள்ள அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் பாதித் தேசமும், And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;

26 எஸ்போன் துவக்கி ராமாத் மிஸ்பேமட்டும் பெத்தொனீம் வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதும், மகனாயீம் துவக்கித் தெபீரின் எல்லைமட்டும் இருக்கிறதும், And from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;

27 எஸ்போனின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் மற்றப்பங்காகிய பள்ளத்தாக்கிலிருக்கிற பெத்தாராமும், பெத்நிம்ராவும், சுக்கோத்தும் சாப்போனும், யோர்தான்மட்டும் இருக்கிறதும், கிழக்கே யோர்தானின் கரையோரமாய்க் கின்னரேத் கடலின் கடையாந்தரமட்டும் இருக்கிறதும், அவர்கள் எல்லைகுள்ளாயிற்று. And in the valley, Betharam, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.

28 இந்தப்பட்டணங்களும் இவைகளின் கிராமங்களும் காத் புத்திரருக்கு, அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படி வந்த சுதந்தரம். This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.

29 மனாசே புத்திரரின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்துக்கும் மோசே அவர்கள் வம்சத்துக்குத் தக்கதாகக் கொடுத்தான். And Moses gave inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.

30 மகனாயீம் துவக்கி, பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகின் முழு ராஜ்யமாயிருக்கிற பாசான் முழுவதும், பாசானிலுள்ள யாவீரின் சகல ஊர்களுமான அறுபது பட்டணங்கள் அவர்கள் எல்லைக்குள்ளாயிற்று. And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:

31 பாதிக் கீலேயாத்தையும், பாசானிலே அஸ்தரோத், எத்ரேயி என்னும் ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தின் பட்டணங்களையும், மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீரின் புத்திரர் பாதிபேருக்கு அவர்களின் வம்சங்களின்படியே கொடுத்தான். And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.

32 மோசே கிழக்கே எரிகோவின் அருகே யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையிலிருக்கிற மோவாபின் சமனான வெளிகளில் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தவைகள் இவைகளே. These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

33 லேவிகோத்திரத்திற்கு மோசே சுதந்தரம் கொடுக்கவில்லை, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி, அவரே அவர்களுடைய சுதந்தரம். But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the LORD God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.

1 Yosuvaa vayathusentu muthirnthavanaanapothu, Karththar avanai Nnokki: nee vayathusentavanum muthirnthavanumaanaay; suthanthariththukkollavaenntiya thaesam innum makaa visthaaramaayirukkirathu. Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

2 Meethiyaayirukkira thaesam evaiyenil, ekipthukku ethiraana seekor aaraுthuvakkik kaanaaniyaraich sernthathaaka ennnappadum vadakkaeyirukkira ekronin ellaimattumulla pelistharin ellaa ellaikalum, kesoorim muluvathum, This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

3 Kaasaa, asthoth, askalon, kaath, ekron enkira pattanangalilirukkira pelistharutaiya ainthu athipathikalin naadum, aaviyarin naadum, From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:

4 Therkae thuvakki aappekmattum emoriyar ellaivaraikkum irukkira kaanaaniyarin sakala thaesamum, seethoniyarukkaduththa meyaaraa naadum, From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:

5 Kipliyarin naadum, sooriyothayamaayp puraththil ermon malaiyativaaraththil irukkira paakaalkaath mutharkonndu aamaaththukkul piravaesikkumattumulla leepanon muluvathum, And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

6 Leepanon thuvakki misrapothmaayeem mattum malaikalil kutiyirukkira yaavarutaiya naadum, seethoniyarutaiya ellaa naadumthaanae. Naan avarkalai Israel puththirarukku munpaakath thuraththuvaen; naan unakkuk kattalaiyittapatiyae, nee isravaelukkuch suthantharamaakach seettukalaimaaththiram pottuth thaesaththaip pangidavaenndum. All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 Aathalaal inthath thaesaththai onpathu koththirangalukkum, manaaseyin paathikkoththiraththukkum suthantharamaakap pangidu entar. Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

8 Manaaseyin paathikkoththiraththaarum roopaniyarum kaaththiyarum thangal suthantharaththai atainthu theernthathu; athaik karththarin thaasanaakiya Moses yorthaanukku appuraththil kilakkae avarkalukkuk koduththaan. With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;

9 Arnon aattangaraiyilirukkira aarovaerum, nathiyin maththiyilirukkira pattanamum thuvakkith theeponmattumirukkira methapaavin samanaana poomiyaavaiyum, From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

10 Esponilirunthu ammon puththirarin ellaimattum aannda emoriyarin raajaavaakiya seekonukkuriya sakala pattanangalaiyum, And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;

11 Geelaeyaaththaiyum, kesooriyar maakaaththiyarutaiya ellaiyilulla naattaைyum, ermon malai muluvathaiyum, And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

12 Astharoththilum ethraeyilum aanndu, Moses muriya atiththuth thuraththina iraatchatharil meethiyaayiruntha paasaanin raajaavaakiya okukkuch salkaamattumiruntha paasaan muluvathaiyum avarkalukkuk koduththaan. All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

13 Israel puththiraro kesooriyaraiyum maakaaththiyaraiyum thuraththividavillai, kesooriyarum maakaaththiyarum innaalvaraikkum isravaelin naduvae kutiyirukkiraarkal. Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.

14 Laeviyarin koththiraththukkumaaththiram avan suthantharam kodukkavillai; isravaelin thaevanaakiya Karththar avarkalukkuch sonnapatiyae, avarutaiya thakanapalikalae avarkalutaiya suthantharam. Only unto the tribes of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

15 Moses roopan puththirarin koththiraththukku avarkalutaiya vamsangalukkuth thakkathaakach suthantharam koduththaan. And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.

16 Arnon aattangaraiyilirukkira aarovaerum, aattin maththiyilirukkira pattanam thodangi methepaavaraikkummulla samapoomi muluvathum, And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;

17 Samapoomiyilirukkira esponum, athin ellaappattanangalumaakiya theepon, paamothpaakaal, pethpaakaalmeyon, Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon,

18 Yaaksaa, kethemoth, maepaakaath, And Jahaza, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

19 Geeriyaaththaayeem, sipmaa, pallaththaakkin malaiyilulla serethsakaar, And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zarethshahar in the mount of the valley,

20 Pethpeyor, asthothpiskaa, pethyesimoth muthalaana And Bethpeor, and Ashdothpisgah, and Bethjeshimoth,

21 Samapoomiyilulla ellaap pattanangalum, esponil aanntiruntha seekon ennum emoriyarutaiya raajaavin raajyam muluvathum avarkal ellaikkullaayittaு, anthach seekonaiyum, thaesaththilae kutiyirunthu seekonin athipathiyaayiruntha aevi, rekkaem, soor, oor, raepaa ennum meethiyaanin pirapukkalaiyum Moses vettippottan. And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

22 Israel puththirar vettina mattavarkalodung kooda, paeyorin kumaaranaakiya paalaam ennum kurisollukiravanaiyum pattayaththinaal vettippottarkal. Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.

23 Appatiyae yorthaanum atharkaduththathum roopan puththirarin ellaiyaayittaு, inthappattanangalum ivaikalin kiraamangalum roopan puththirarukku, avarkal vamsangalinpati vantha suthantharam. And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

24 Kaathpuththirarin koththiraththukku Moses avarkal vamsangalukkuth thakkathaakak koduththathu ennavenil: And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.

25 Yaaserum, geelaeyaaththin sakala pattanangalum, rapaavukku ethirae irukkira aarovaermattumulla ammon puththirarin paathith thaesamum, And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;

26 Espon thuvakki raamaath mispaemattum peththoneem varaikkum irukkirathum, makanaayeem thuvakkith thepeerin ellaimattum irukkirathum, And from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;

27 Esponin raajaavaakiya seekonutaiya raajyaththin mattappangaakiya pallaththaakkilirukkira peththaaraamum, pethnimraavum, sukkoththum saapponum, yorthaanmattum irukkirathum, kilakkae yorthaanin karaiyoramaayk kinnaraeth kadalin kataiyaantharamattum irukkirathum, avarkal ellaikullaayittaு. And in the valley, Betharam, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.

28 Inthappattanangalum ivaikalin kiraamangalum kaath puththirarukku, avarkalutaiya vamsangalinpati vantha suthantharam. This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.

29 Manaase puththirarin paathikkoththiraththukkum Moses avarkal vamsaththukkuth thakkathaakak koduththaan. And Moses gave inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.

30 Makanaayeem thuvakki, paasaanin raajaavaakiya okin mulu raajyamaayirukkira paasaan muluvathum, paasaanilulla yaaveerin sakala oorkalumaana araுpathu pattanangal avarkal ellaikkullaayittaு. And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:

31 Paathik geelaeyaaththaiyum, paasaanilae astharoth, ethraeyi ennum oru raajyaththin pattanangalaiyum, manaaseyin kumaaranaakiya maageerin puththirar paathipaerukku avarkalin vamsangalinpatiyae koduththaan. And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.

32 Moses kilakkae erikovin arukae yorthaanukku akkaraiyilirukkira movaapin samanaana velikalil suthantharamaakak koduththavaikal ivaikalae. These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
