1 யூதாவின் குமாரர், பாரேஸ், எஸ்ரோன், கர்மீ, ஊர், சோபால் என்பவர்கள். The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

2 சோபாலின் குமாரன் ராயா யாகாத்தைப் பெற்றான்; யாகாத் அகுமாயியையும் லாகாதையும் பெற்றான்; சோராத்தியரின் வம்சங்கள் இவைகளே. And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

3 ஏதாம் என்னும் மூப்பனின் சந்ததியார், யெஸ்ரெயேல், இஷ்மா, இத்பாஸ் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களுடைய சகோதரியின் பேர் அத்செலெல்போனி; And these were of the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi:

4 கேதோருக்கு மூப்பனான பெனுவெல், உஷாவுக்கு மூப்பனான எசேர் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் பெத்லெகேமுக்கு மூப்பனான எப்ராத்தாவுக்கு முதற்பிறந்த ஊரின் குமாரர். And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.

5 தெக்கோவாவுக்கு மூப்பனான அசூருக்கு ஏலாள், நாராள் என்னும் இரண்டு பெண்ஜாதிகள் இருந்தார்கள். And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

6 நாராள் அவனுக்கு அகுசாமையும், எப்பேரையும், தெமனியையும, ஆகாஸ்தாரியையும் பெற்றாள்; நாராளின் குமாரர்கள் இவர்களே. And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.

7 ஏலாளின் குமாரர், சேரேத், எத்சோகார், எத்னான் என்பவர்கள். And the sons of Helah were, Zereth, and Jezoar, and Ethnan.

8 கோஸ் என்பவன் அனூபையும், சோபேபாகையும், ஆருமின் குமாரனாகிய அகர்கேலின் வம்சங்களையும் பெற்றான். And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.

9 யாபேஸ் தன் சகோதரரைப்பார்க்கிலும் கனம்பெற்றவனாயிருந்தான். அவன் தாய்: நான் துக்கத்தோடே அவனைப் பெற்றேன் என்று சொல்லி அவனுக்கு யாபேஸ் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

10 யாபேஸ் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் என்னை ஆசிர்வதித்து, என் எல்லையைப் பெரிதாக்கி, உமது கரம் என்னோடிருந்து, தீங்கு என்னைத் துக்கப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு அதற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்தருளும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அவன் வேண்டிக்கொண்டதை தேவன் அருளினார். And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

11 சூகாவின் சகோதரனாகிய கேலுூப் மேகீரைப் பெற்றான்; இவன் எஸ்தோனின் தகப்பன். And Chelub the brother of Shuah begat Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.

12 எஸ்தோன் பெத்ராபாவையும், பசேயாகையும், இர்நாகாஷின் தகப்பனாகிய தெகினாகையும் பெற்றான்; இவர்கள் ரேகாவூர் மனுஷர். And Eshton begat Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Irnahash. These are the men of Rechah.

13 கேனாசின் குமாரர், ஒத்னியேல், செராயா என்பவர்கள்; ஒத்னியேலின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் ஆத்தாத். And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.

14 மெயோனத்தாய் ஒபிராவைப் பெற்றான்; செராயா கராஷீமன் பள்ளத்தாக்குக்கு மூப்பனாகிய யோவாபைப் பெற்றான்; அவர்கள் தொழிலாளிகளாயிருந்தார்கள். And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.

15 எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரனாகிய காலேபின் குமாரர், ஈரு, ஏலா, நாகாம்; ஏலாவின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் கேனாஸ். And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

16 எகலெலேலின் குமாரர், சீப், சீப்பா, திரியா, அசாரெயேல். And the sons of Jehaleleel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17 எஸ்றாவின் குமாரர், யெத்தேர், மேரேத், ஏப்பேர், யாலோன்; மேரேத்தின் பெண்ஜாதி மிரியாமையும், சம்மாயியையும், எஸ்தெமோவா ஊருக்கு மூப்பனான இஸ்பாவையும் பெற்றாள். And the sons of Ezra were, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

And his wife Jehudijah bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.

19 நாகாமின் சகோதரியாகிய ஒதியாவினுடைய பெண்ஜாதியின் குமாரர் கர்மியனாகிய ஆபிகேயிலாவும், மாகாத்தினாகிய எஸ்தேமோவாவுமே. And the sons of his wife Hodiah the sister of Naham, the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

20 ஷீமோனின் குமாரர், அம்னோன், ரின்னா, பென்கானான், தீலோன் என்பவர்கள், இஷியின் குமாரர், சோகேதும் பென்சோகேதுமே. And the sons of Shimon were, Amnon, and Rinnah, Benhanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi were, Zoheth, and Benzoheth.

21 யூதாவின் குமாரனாகிய சேலாகின் புத்திரர்: லேக்காவூர் மூப்பனான ஏரும் மரேசார் மூப்பனான லாதாகும், மெல்லிய புடவை நெய்த அஸ்பெயா வீட்டுவம்சங்களும், The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

22 யோயாக்கீமும், கோசேபாவின் மனுஷரும், மோவாபியரை ஆண்ட யோவாஸ், சாராப் என்பவர்களும், யசுபிலெகேமுமே; இவைகள் பூர்வகாலத்தின் செய்திகள். And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient things.

23 இவர்கள் குயவராயிருந்து நெத்தாயிமிலும் கெதேராவிலும் குடியிருந்தார்கள்; ராஜாவின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிறதற்கு அங்கே வாசம்பண்ணினார்கள் These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

24 சிமியோனின் குமாரர், நெமுவேல்,யாமின், யாரீப், சேரா, சவுல் என்பவர்கள். The sons of Simeon were, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul:

25 இவன் குமாரன் சல்லுூம்; இவன் குமாரன் மிப்சாம்; இவன் குமாரன் மிஸ்மா. Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

26 மிஸ்மாவின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் அம்முவேல்; இவன் குமாரன் சக்கூர்; இவன் குமாரன் சீமேயி. And the sons of Mishma; Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27 சீமேயிக்குப் பதினாறு குமாரரும் குமாரத்திகளும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவன் சகோதரருக்கு அநேகம் பிள்ளைகள் இருந்ததில்லை; அவர்கள் வம்சமெல்லாம் யூதாவின் புத்திரைப்போலப் பெருகினதுமில்லை. And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters: but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.

30 பெத்தூவேலிலும், ஓர்மாவிலும், சிக்லாகிலும், And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

31 பெத்மார்காபோத்திலும், ஆத்சார்சூசிமிலும், பெத்பிரியிலும், சாராயிமிலும் குடியிருந்தார்கள்; தாவீது ராஜாவாகுமட்டும் இவைகள் அவர்கள் பட்டணங்களாயிருந்தது. And at Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusim, and at Bethbirei, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.

32 அவர்களுடைய பேட்டைகள், ஏத்தாம், ஆயின், ரிம்மோன், தோகேன், ஆசான் என்னும் ஐந்து பட்டணங்கள். And their villages were, Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:

33 அந்த பட்டணங்களைச் சுற்றிலும், பாகால்மட்முள்ள அவர்களுடைய எல்லாப் பேட்டைகளும், அவர்களுடைய வாசஸ்தலங்களும், அவர்களுடைய வம்ச அட்டவணையும் இவைகளே. And all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and their genealogy.

34 மசோபாபும், யம்லேகும், அமத்சியாவின் குமாரன் யோஷாவும், And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,

35 யோவேலும், ஆசியேலின் மகன் செராயாவுக்குப் பிறந்த யோசிபியாவின் குமாரன் ஏகூவும், And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

36 எலியோனாயும், யாக்கோபாவும், யெசொகாயாவும், அசாயாவும், ஆதியேலும், யெசிமியேலும் பெனாயாவும், And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37 செமாயா பெற்ற சிம்ரியின் மகன் யெதாயாவுக்குப் பிறந்த அல்லோனின் புத்திரனாகிய சீப்பியின் குமாரன் சீசாவும் என்று, And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;

38 பேர்பேராய் எழுதியிருக்கிற இவர்கள் வம்சங்களில் பிரபுக்களாயிருந்தார்கள், இவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் வீட்டார் ஏராளமாய்ப் பரம்பினார்கள். These mentioned by their names were princes in their families: and the house of their fathers increased greatly.

39 தங்கள் ஆடுகளுக்கு மேய்ச்சலைத் தேடும்படிக்கு தேதோரின் எல்லையாகிய பள்ளத்தாக்கின் கீழ்ப்புறமட்டும் போய், And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.

40 நல்ல செழிப்பான மேய்ச்சலையும், அமரிக்கையும், சுகமுமுள்ள விஸ்தாரமான தேசத்தையும் கண்டுபிடித்தார்கள்; பூர்வத்திலே காமின் சந்ததியார் அங்கே குடியிருந்தார்கள். And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.

41 பேர்பேராய் எழுதியிருக்கிற இவர்கள் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின் நாட்களிலே அங்கே போய், அங்கே, கண்டுபிடித்தவர்களின் கூடாரங்களையும், தாபரங்களையும் அழித்து, இந்நாளிலே இருக்கிறதுபோல, அவர்களைச் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, அங்கே தங்கள் ஆடுகளுக்குமேய்ச்சல் இருந்தபடியினால், அவர்கள் அந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே குடியேறினார்கள். 43 அமலேக்கியரில் தப்பி மீதியாயிருந்தவர்களை மடங்கடித்து, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறபடி அங்கே குடியேறினார்கள். And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.

1 Yoothaavin kumaarar, paaraes, esron, karmee, oor, sopaal enpavarkal. The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

2 Sopaalin kumaaran raayaa yaakaaththaip pettaாn; yaakaath akumaayiyaiyum laakaathaiyum pettaாn; soraaththiyarin vamsangal ivaikalae. And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

3 Aethaam ennum mooppanin santhathiyaar, yesreyael, ishmaa, ithpaas enpavarkal; ivarkalutaiya sakothariyin paer athselelponi; And these were of the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi:

4 Kaethorukku mooppanaana penuvel, ushaavukku mooppanaana eser enpavarkal; ivarkal pethlekaemukku mooppanaana epraaththaavukku mutharpirantha oorin kumaarar. 5 Thekkovaavukku mooppanaana asoorukku aelaal, naaraal ennum iranndu pennjaathikal irunthaarkal. And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

6 Naaraal avanukku akusaamaiyum, eppaeraiyum, themaniyaiyuma, aakaasthaariyaiyum pettaாl; naaraalin kumaararkal ivarkalae. And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.

7 Aelaalin kumaarar, seraeth, ethsokaar, ethnaan enpavarkal. And the sons of Helah were, Zereth, and Jezoar, and Ethnan.

8 Kos enpavan anoopaiyum, sopaepaakaiyum, aarumin kumaaranaakiya akarkaelin vamsangalaiyum pettaாn. And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.

12 Esthon pethraapaavaiyum, paseyaakaiyum, irnaakaashin thakappanaakiya thekinaakaiyum pettaாn; ivarkal raekaavoor manushar. And Eshton begat Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Irnahash. These are the men of Rechah.

13 Kaenaasin kumaarar, othniyael, seraayaa enpavarkal; othniyaelin kumaararil oruvan aaththaath. And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.

14 Meyonaththaay opiraavaip pettaாn; seraayaa karaasheeman pallaththaakkukku mooppanaakiya yovaapaip pettaாn; avarkal tholilaalikalaayirunthaarkal. And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.

15 Eppunnaeyin kumaaranaakiya kaalaepin kumaarar, eeru, aelaa, naakaam; aelaavin kumaararil oruvan kaenaas. And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

16 Ekalelaelin kumaarar, seep, seeppaa, thiriyaa, asaareyael. And the sons of Jehaleleel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17 Esraavin kumaarar, yeththaer, maeraeth, aeppaer, yaalon; maeraeththin pennjaathi miriyaamaiyum, sammaayiyaiyum, esthemovaa oorukku mooppanaana ispaavaiyum pettaாl. And the sons of Ezra were, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

18 Avan pennjaathiyaakiya ekuthiyaal, kaethorin thakappanaakiya yaaraethaiyum, sokkovin thakappanaakiya aepaeraiyuma, sanovaavin thakappanaakiya ekkukathiyaelaiyum pettaாl; maeraeth vivaakam pannnnina paarvonin kumaaraththiyaakiya piththiyaalin kumaarar ivarkalae. 21 Yoothaavin kumaaranaakiya selaakin puththirar: laekkaavoor mooppanaana aerum maraesaar mooppanaana laathaakum, melliya pudavai neytha aspeyaa veettuvamsangalum, The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

22 Yoyaakgeemum, kosepaavin manusharum, movaapiyarai aannda yovaas, saaraap enpavarkalum, yasupilekaemumae; ivaikal poorvakaalaththin seythikal. And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient things.

23 Ivarkal kuyavaraayirunthu neththaayimilum kethaeraavilum kutiyirunthaarkal; raajaavin vaelaiyai visaarikkiratharku angae vaasampannnninaarkal These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

25 Ivan kumaaran salluூm; ivan kumaaran mipsaam; ivan kumaaran mismaa. Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

26 Mismaavin kumaararil oruvan ammuvael; ivan kumaaran sakkoor; ivan kumaaran seemaeyi. And the sons of Mishma; Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27 Seemaeyikkup pathinaaraு kumaararum kumaaraththikalum irunthaarkal; avan sakothararukku anaekam pillaikal irunthathillai; avarkal vamsamellaam yoothaavin puththiraippolap perukinathumillai. 28 Avarkal peyersepaavilum, molaathaavilum, aathasaarkuvaavilum, And they dwelt at Beersheba, and Moladah, and Hazarshual,

29 Pillaavilum, aethsaamilum, tholaathilum, And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,

30 Peththoovaelilum, ormaavilum, siklaakilum, And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

31 Pethmaarkaapoththilum, aathsaarsoosimilum, pethpiriyilum, saaraayimilum kutiyirunthaarkal; David raajaavaakumattum ivaikal avarkal pattanangalaayirunthathu. And at Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusim, and at Bethbirei, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.

32 Avarkalutaiya paettaைkal, aeththaam, aayin, rimmon, thokaen, aasaan ennum ainthu pattanangal. And their villages were, Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:

33 Antha pattanangalaich suttilum, paakaalmatmulla avarkalutaiya ellaap paettaைkalum, avarkalutaiya vaasasthalangalum, avarkalutaiya vamsa attavannaiyum ivaikalae. And all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and their genealogy.

34 Masopaapum, yamlaekum, amathsiyaavin kumaaran yoshaavum, And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,

35 Yovaelum, aasiyaelin makan seraayaavukkup pirantha yosipiyaavin kumaaran aekoovum, And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

36 Eliyonaayum, yaakkopaavum, yesokaayaavum, asaayaavum, aathiyaelum, yesimiyaelum penaayaavum, And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37 Semaayaa petta simriyin makan yethaayaavukkup pirantha allonin puththiranaakiya seeppiyin kumaaran seesaavum entu, And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;
