அப்பொழுது அவன்: ஆண்டவருக்குக் கோபம் வராதிருப்பதாக; நான் இன்னும் இந்த ஒருவிசைமாத்திரம் பேசுகிறேன்; பத்து நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: பத்து நீதிமான்கள் நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார்.

மேலும் ஆபிரகாம், “கர்த்தாவே என் மீது கோபம்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். இறுதியாக இன்னொன்றைக் கேட்க அனுமதி தாரும். நீர் அங்கே 10 நல்ல மனிதர்களை மட்டும் கண்டால் என்ன செய்வீர்?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர், “நான் 10 நல்ல மனிதர்களைக் கண்டாலும் அந்நகரத்தை அழிக்கமாட்டேன்” என்றார்.

அதற்கு அவர், “என் தலைவரே, சினமடைய வேண்டாம்; இன்னும் ஒரே ஒரு தடவை மட்டும் என்னைப் பேசவிடும். ஒரு வேளை அங்குப் பத்துப் பேர் மட்டும் காணப்பட்டால்?” என, அவர், “அந்தப் பத்துப் பேரை முன்னிட்டு அழிக்க மாட்டேன்” என்றார்.

shall be found יִמָּֽצְא֥וּן māṣāʾ ma-TSA
there. שָׁ֖ם šām shahm
ten עֲשָׂרָ֑ה ʿeśer eh-SER
And he said, וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ ʾāmar ah-MAHR

destroy אַשְׁחִ֔ית šāḥat sha-HAHT
