Genesis 17 in Tamil

1 ஆபிராம் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது வயதானபோது, கர்த்தர் ஆபிராமுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நான் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன்; நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக நடந்துகொண்டு உத்தமனாயிரு. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2 நான் உனக்கும் எனக்கும் நடுவாக என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்தி, உன்னை மிகவும் திரளாய்ப் பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார். And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3 அப்பொழுது ஆபிராம் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கினான். தேவன் அவனோடே பேசி: And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 நான் உன்னோடே பண்ணுகிற என் உடன்படிக்கை என்னவென்றால், நீ திரளான ஜாதிகளுக்குத் தகப்பனாவாய். As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5 இனி உன் பேர் ஆபிராம் என்னப்படாமல், நான் உன்னைத் திரளான ஜாதிகளுக்குத் தகப்பனாக ஏற்படுத்தினபடியால், உன் பேர் ஆபிரகாம் என்னப்படும். Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 உன்னை மிகவும் அதிகமாய்ப் பலுகப்பண்ணி, உன்னிலே ஜாதிகளை உண்டாக்குவேன்; உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து ராஜாக்கள் தோன்றுவார்கள். And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

7 உனக்கும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நான் தேவனாயிருக்கும்படி எனக்கும் உனக்கும், உனக்குப்பின் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நடுவே, என் உடன்படிக்கையை நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாக ஸ்தாபிப்பேன். And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8 நீ பரதேசியாய்த் தங்கிவருகிற கானான் தேசமுழுவதையும், உனக்கும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நித்திய சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்து, நான் அவர்களுக்குத் தேவனாயிருப்பேன் என்றார். And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9 பின்னும் தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: இப்பொழுது நீயும், உனக்குப் பின் தலைமுறை தலைΠρறையாக வரும் உன் சந்ததியும், என் உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைக்கொள்ளுங்கள். And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

10 எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும், உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நடுவே உண்டாகிறதும், நீங்கள் கைக்கொள்ள வேண்டியதுமான என் உடன்படிக்கை என்னவென்றால், உங்களுக்குள் பிறக்கும் சகல ஆண்பிள்ளைகளும் விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணப்படவேண்டும்; This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

11 உங்கள் நுனித்தோலின் மாம்சத்தை விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணக்கடவீர்கள்; அது எனக்கும் உங்களுக்குமுள்ள உடன்படிக்கைக்கு அடையாளமாயிருக்கும். And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

12 உங்களில் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாகப் பிறக்கும் ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் எட்டாம் நாளிலே விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படவேண்டும்; வீட்டிலே பிறந்த பிள்ளையும் உன் வித்தல்லாத அந்நியனிடத்தில் பணத்திற்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்ட எந்தப் பிள்ளையும், அப்படியே விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படவேண்டும். And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

13 உன் வீட்டிலே பிறந்த பிள்ளையும், உன் பணத்திற்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்டவனும், விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படுவது அவசியம்; இப்படி என் உடன்படிக்கை உங்கள் மாம்சத்திலே நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாக இருக்கக் கடவது. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 நுனித்தோலின் மாம்சம் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படாதிருக்கிற நுனித்தோலுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளையிருந்தால், அந்த ஆத்துமா என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறினபடியால், தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்றார். And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

15 பின்னும் தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: உன் மனைவி சாராயை இனி சாராய் என்று அழையாதிருப்பாயாக; சாராள் என்பது அவளுக்குப் பேராயிருக்கும். And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 நான் அவளை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவளாலே உனக்கு ஒரு குமாரனையும் தருவேன்; அவள் ஜாதிகளுக்குத் தாயாகவும், அவளாலே ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாக்கள் உண்டாகவும், அவளை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன் என்றார். And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து நகைத்து: நூறுவயதானவனுக்குப் பிள்ளை பிறக்குமோ? தொண்ணூறு வயதான சாராள் பிள்ளை பெறுவாளோ? என்று தன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்லிக்கொண்டு, Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 இஸ்மவேல் உமக்கு முன்பாகப் பிழைப்பானாக! என்று ஆபிரகாம் தேவனிடத்தில் விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணினான். And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

19 அப்பொழுது தேவன்: உன் மனைவியாகிய சாராள் நிச்சயமாய் உனக்கு ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாள், அவனுக்கு ஈசாக்கு என்று பேரிடுவாயாக; என் உடன்படிக்கையை அவனுக்கும் அவனுக்குப் பின்வரும் அவன் சந்ததிக்கும் நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாக ஸ்தாபிப்பேன். And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20 இஸ்மவேலுக்காகவும் நீ செய்த விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டேன்; நான் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவனை மிகவும் அதிகமாகப் பலுகவும் பெருகவும் பண்ணுவேன்; அவன் பன்னிரண்டு பிரபுக்களைப் பெறுவான்; அவனைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்குவேன். And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 வருகிற வருஷத்தில் குறித்தகாலத்திலே சாராள் உனக்குப் பெறப்போகிற ஈசாக்கோடே நான் என் உடன்படிக்கையை உண்டாக்குவேன் என்றார். But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

22 தேவன் ஆபிரகாமோடே பேசி முடிந்த பின்பு, அவர் அவனைவிட்டு எழுந்தருளினார். And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் தன் குமாரனாகிய இஸ்மவேலையும், தன் வீட்டிலே பிறந்த யாவரையும், தான் பணத்திற்குக் கொண்ட அனைவருமாகிய தன் வீட்டிலுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகள் எல்லாரையும் சேர்த்து. தேவன் தனக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் நுனித்தோலின் மாம்சத்தை அந்நாளிலேதானே விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணினான். And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

24 ஆபிரகாமின் நுனித்தோலின் மாம்சம் விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணப்படும்போது, அவன் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது வயதாயிருந்தான். And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 அவனுடைய குமாரன் இஸ்மவேலுடைய நுனித்தோலின் மாம்சம் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படும்போது, அவன் பதின்மூன்று வயதாயிருந்தான். And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 ஒரேநாளில் ஆபிரகாமும் அவன் குமாரன் இஸ்மவேலும் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள். In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

27 வீட்டிலே பிறந்தவர்களும் அந்நியரிடத்திலே பணத்திற்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களுமாகிய அவன் வீட்டு மனுஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் அவனோடேகூட விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள். And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.

1 Aapiraam thonnnnoottaொnpathu vayathaanapothu, Karththar aapiraamukkuth tharisanamaaki: naan sarvavallamaiyulla Dhevan; nee enakku munpaaka nadanthukonndu uththamanaayiru. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2 Naan unakkum enakkum naduvaaka en udanpatikkaiyai aerpaduththi, unnai mikavum thiralaayp perukappannnuvaen entar. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3 Appoluthu aapiraam mukanguppura vilunthu vananginaan. Dhevan avanotae paesi: And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 Naan unnotae pannnukira en udanpatikkai ennavental, nee thiralaana jaathikalukkuth thakappanaavaay. As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5 Ini un paer aapiraam ennappadaamal, naan unnaith thiralaana jaathikalukkuth thakappanaaka aerpaduththinapatiyaal, un paer Abraham ennappadum. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 Unnai mikavum athikamaayp palukappannnni, unnilae jaathikalai unndaakkuvaen; unnidaththilirunthu raajaakkal thontuvaarkal. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

7 Unakkum unakkup pinvarum un santhathikkum naan thaevanaayirukkumpati enakkum unakkum, unakkuppin thalaimurai thalaimuraiyaaka varum un santhathikkum naduvae, en udanpatikkaiyai niththiya udanpatikkaiyaaka sthaapippaen. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8 Nee parathaesiyaayth thangivarukira kaanaan thaesamuluvathaiyum, unakkum unakkup pinvarum un santhathikkum niththiya suthantharamaakak koduththu, naan avarkalukkuth thaevanaayiruppaen entar. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9 Pinnum Dhevan aapirakaamai Nnokki: ippoluthu neeyum, unakkup pin thalaimurai thalaiΠρraiyaaka varum un santhathiyum, en udanpatikkaiyaik kaikkollungal. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

10 Enakkum ungalukkum, unakkup pinvarum un santhathikkum naduvae unndaakirathum, neengal kaikkolla vaenntiyathumaana en udanpatikkai ennavental, ungalukkul pirakkum sakala aannpillaikalum viruththasethanam pannnappadavaenndum; This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

11 Ungal nuniththolin maamsaththai viruththasethanampannnakkadaveerkal; athu enakkum ungalukkumulla udanpatikkaikku ataiyaalamaayirukkum. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

12 Ungalil thalaimurai thalaimuraiyaakap pirakkum aannpillaikalaiyellaam ettam naalilae viruththasethanampannnappadavaenndum; veettilae pirantha pillaiyum un viththallaatha anniyanidaththil panaththirkuk kollappatta enthap pillaiyum, appatiyae viruththasethanampannnappadavaenndum. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

13 Un veettilae pirantha pillaiyum, un panaththirkuk kollappattavanum, viruththasethanampannnappaduvathu avasiyam; ippati en udanpatikkai ungal maamsaththilae niththiya udanpatikkaiyaaka irukkak kadavathu. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

14 Nuniththolin maamsam viruththasethanampannnappadaathirukkira nuniththolulla aannpillaiyirunthaal, antha aaththumaa en udanpatikkaiyai meerinapatiyaal, than janaththil iraathapatikku araுppunndupovaan entar. And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

15 Pinnum Dhevan aapirakaamai Nnokki: un manaivi saaraayai ini saaraay entu alaiyaathiruppaayaaka; saaraal enpathu avalukkup paeraayirukkum. And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 Naan avalai aaseervathiththu, avalaalae unakku oru kumaaranaiyum tharuvaen; aval jaathikalukkuth thaayaakavum, avalaalae jaathikalin raajaakkal unndaakavum, avalai aaseervathippaen entar. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

17 Appoluthu Abraham mukanguppura vilunthu nakaiththu: nooraுvayathaanavanukkup pillai pirakkumo? Thonnnnooraு vayathaana saaraal pillai peraுvaalo? Entu than iruthayaththilae sollikkonndu, Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

18 Ismavael umakku munpaakap pilaippaanaaka! Entu Abraham thaevanidaththil vinnnappam pannnninaan. And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

19 Appoluthu Dhevan: un manaiviyaakiya saaraal nichchayamaay unakku oru kumaaranaip peraுvaal, avanukku eesaakku entu paeriduvaayaaka; en udanpatikkaiyai avanukkum avanukkup pinvarum avan santhathikkum niththiya udanpatikkaiyaaka sthaapippaen. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

20 Ismavaelukkaakavum nee seytha vinnnappaththaik kaettaேn; naan avanai aaseervathiththu, avanai mikavum athikamaakap palukavum perukavum pannnuvaen; avan panniranndu pirapukkalaip peraுvaan; avanaip periya jaathiyaakkuvaen. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 Varukira varushaththil kuriththakaalaththilae saaraal unakkup perappokira eesaakkotae naan en udanpatikkaiyai unndaakkuvaen entar. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

22 Dhevan aapirakaamotae paesi mutintha pinpu, avar avanaivittu eluntharulinaar. And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

23 Appoluthu Abraham than kumaaranaakiya ismavaelaiyum, than veettilae pirantha yaavaraiyum, thaan panaththirkuk konnda anaivarumaakiya than veettilulla aannpillaikal ellaaraiyum serththu. Dhevan thanakkuch sonnapati, avarkal nuniththolin maamsaththai annaalilaethaanae viruththasethanam pannnninaan. And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

24 Aapirakaamin nuniththolin maamsam viruththasethanam pannnappadumpothu, avan thonnnnoottaொnpathu vayathaayirunthaan. And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 Avanutaiya kumaaran ismavaelutaiya nuniththolin maamsam viruththasethanampannnappadumpothu, avan pathinmoontu vayathaayirunthaan. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 Oraenaalil aapirakaamum avan kumaaran ismavaelum viruththasethanampannnappattarkal. In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

27 Veettilae piranthavarkalum anniyaridaththilae panaththirkuk kollappattavarkalumaakiya avan veettu manusharkal ellaarum avanotaekooda viruththasethanampannnappattarkal. And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
