ஆசா தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: கர்த்தாவே, பலமுள்ளவனுக்காகிலும் பலனற்றவனுக்காகிலும் உதவிசெய்கிறது உமக்கு லேசானகாரியம்; எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்குத் துணைநில்லும்; உம்மைச்சார்ந்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தில் ஏராளமான இந்தக் கூட்டத்திற்கு எதிராக வந்தோம்; கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எங்கள் தேவன்; மனுஷன் உம்மை மேற்கொள்ளவிடாதேயும் என்றான்.

ஆசா தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: கர்த்தாவே, பலமுள்ளவனுக்காகிலும் பலமில்லாதவனுக்காகிலும் உதவிசெய்கிறது உமக்கு லேசான காரியம்; எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்குத் துணையாக நில்லும்; உம்மைச் சார்ந்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தில் ஏராளமான இந்தக் கூட்டத்திற்கு எதிராக வந்தோம்; கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எங்கள் தேவன்; மனிதன் உம்மை மேற்கொள்ளவிடாதேயும் என்றான்.

ஆசா தனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை அழைத்து, “கர்த்தாவே, பலமானவர்களை எதிர்க்கும் பலவீனர்களுக்கு உதவ உம்மால் தான் முடியும்! எங்களுக்கு உதவும்! எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே! நாங்கள் உம்மையேச் சார்ந்துள்ளோம். உமது பேரால் இப்பெரும் படையோடு போரிடப்போகிறோம். கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எங்கள் தேவன். உமக்கு எதிராக எவரையும் வெல்லும்படிவிடாதீர்!” என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது, ஆசா தன் கடவுளாம் ஆண்டவரை நோக்கி, “ஆண்டவரே! வலியோனை எதிர்க்கும் வலிமையற்றவனைக் காப்பவர் உம்மையன்றி எவருமிலர்! எங்கள் கடவுளாம் ஆண்டவரே! உம்மில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, உமது பெயரால் இப்படையை எதிர்க்க வந்துள்ள எங்களுக்குத் துணையாக வாரும்! ஆண்டவரே, நீரே எங்கள் கடவுள்! எம்மனிதனும் உம்மை மேற்கொள்ள விடாதீர்” என்று மன்றாடினான்.⒫

Aasaa than thaevanaakiya karththarai Nnokkik kooppittu: karththaavae, palamullavanukkaakilum palanattavanukkaakilum uthaviseykirathu umakku laesaanakaariyam; engal thaevanaakiya karththaavae, engalukkuth thunnainillum; ummaichchaாrnthu ummutaiya naamaththil aeraalamaana inthak koottaththirku ethiraaka vanthom; karththaavae, neer engal Dhevan; manushan ummai maerkollavidaathaeyum entan.
