நியாயாதிபதிகள் நியாயம் விசாரித்துவரும் நாட்களில், தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிற்று; அப்பொழுது யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லெகேம் ஊரானாகிய ஒரு மனுஷன் தன் மனைவியோடும் இரண்டு குமாரரோடுங்கூட மோவாப் தேசத்திலே போய்ச் சஞ்சரித்தான்.

நியாயாதிபதிகள் நியாயம் விசாரித்துவந்த நாட்களில், தேசத்தில் பஞ்சம் உண்டானது; அப்பொழுது யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்லெகேம் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த ஒரு மனிதன் தன்னுடைய மனைவியோடும், இரண்டு மகன்களோடும் மோவாப் தேசத்திற்குப் போய் குடியிருந்தான்.
