அந்த அற்பமான யூதர் செய்கிறது என்ன, அவர்களுக்கு இடங்கொடுக்கப்படுமோ, பலியிடுவார்களோ, ஒருநாளிலே முடித்துப்போடுவார்களோ, சுட்டெரித்துப் போடப்பட்டு மண்மேடுகளான கற்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுப்பார்களோ, என்று தன் சகோதரருக்கும் சமாரியாவின் சேனைக்கும் முன்பாகச் சொன்னான்.

சன்பல்லாத் அவனது நண்பர்களோடும் சமாரியாவிலுள்ள படைவீரர்களோடும் பேசி, “பலவீனமுள்ள இந்த யூதர்கள் என்ன செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்? அவர்களை தனியாக விடுவோம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? அவர்கள் பலியிடலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? ஒரே ஒரு நாளிலேயே கட்டி முடித்துவிடலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? சாம்பல் மேடுகளிலும் புழுதிமேடுகளிலும் உள்ள கற்களுக்கு உயிர்கொடுக்க அவர்களால் முடியாது. இவை சாம்பல் மற்றும் புழுதிக் குவியல்களே” என்றான்.

தன் தோழர்கள் முன்னிலையிலும், சமாரியப் படையின் முன்னிலையிலும், “இந்த அற்ப யூதர்கள் என்ன செய்யமுடியும்? அவர்கள் சும்மா விடப்படுவார்களா? அவர்களால் பலி செலுத்த முடியுமா? ஒரு நாளில் வேலையை முடித்து விடுவார்களா? எரிந்துபோன சாம்பல் குவியலிலிருந்து அவர்களால் கற்கள் உண்டாக்க இயலுமா?” என்று எள்ளி நகையாடினான்.

Antha arpamaana yoothar seykirathu enna, avarkalukku idangaொdukkappadumo, paliyiduvaarkalo, orunaalilae mutiththuppoduvaarkalo, sutteriththup podappattu mannmaedukalaana karkalukku uyir koduppaarkalo, entu than sakothararukkum samaariyaavin senaikkum munpaakach sonnaan.

Jews? הַיְּהוּדִ֥ים yĕhûdî yeh-hoo-DEE
these feeble הָאֲמֵֽלָלִ֖ים ʾămēlāl uh-may-LAHL
do עֹשִׂ֑ים ʿāśâ ah-SA
will they fortify הֲיַֽעַזְב֨וּ ʿāzab ah-ZAHV
which לָהֶ֤ם hēm hame
themselves? will they sacrifice? הֲיִזְבָּ֙חוּ֙ zābaḥ za-VAHK
will they make an end הַיְכַלּ֣וּ kālâ ka-LA
