Isaiah 8 in Tamil

1 பின்னும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ ஒரு பெரிய பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்து மனுஷன் எழுதுகிற பிரகாரமாய் அதிலே மகேர்-சாலால்-அஷ்-பாஸ் என்று எழுது என்றார். Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

2 அப்பொழுது நான் உண்மையுள்ள சாட்சிக்காரராகிய ஆசாரியனான உரியாவையும், யெபெரெகியாவின் குமாரனான சகரியாவையும் அதற்குச் சாட்சிகளாக வைத்துக்கொண்டேன். And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

3 நான் தீர்க்கதரிசியானவளைச் சேர்ந்தபோது, அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: மகேர்-சாலால்-அஷ்-பாஸ் என்னும் பேரை அவனுக்கு இடு. And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.

4 இந்தப் பாலகன், அப்பா, அம்மா என்று கூப்பிட அறியுமுன்னே, தமஸ்குவின் ஆஸ்தியையும், சமாரியாவின் கொள்ளையும், அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுபோகப்படும் என்றார். For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

5 பின்னும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,

6 இந்த ஜனம் மெதுவாய் ஓடுகிற சீலோவாவின் தண்ணீர்களை அசட்டைபண்ணி, ரேத்சீனையும் ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனையும் சார்ந்து சந்தோஷிக்கிறபடியினால், Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;

7 இதோ, ஆண்டவர் வல்லமையுள்ள திரளான ஆற்றுநீரைப்போன்ற அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவையும், அவனுடைய சகல ஆடம்பரத்தையும் அவர்கள்மேல் புரளப்பண்ணுவார்; அது அவர்களுடைய ஓடைகளெல்லாவற்றின்மேலும் போய், அவர்களுடைய எல்லாக் கரைகள்மேலும் புரண்டு, Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

8 யூதாவுக்குள் புகுந்து பிரவாகித்துக் கடந்து, கழுத்துமட்டும் வரும் என்றார். இம்மானுவேலே, அவன் செட்டைகளின் விரிவு உமது தேசத்தின் விசாலத்தை மூடும். And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

9 ஜனங்களே, நீங்கள் கூட்டங்கூடுங்கள், முறியடிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; தூர தேசத்தாராகிய நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் செவிகொடுங்கள்; இடைக்கட்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள், முறிந்தோடுவீர்கள், Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.

10 ஆலோசனை செய்யுங்கள், அது அபத்தமாகும்; வார்த்தையை வசனியுங்கள், அது நிற்காது; தேவன் எங்களோடே இருக்கிறார். Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

11 கர்த்தருடைய கரம் என்மேல் அமர்ந்து, அவர் என்னுடனே பேசி, நான் இந்த ஜனத்தின் வழியிலே நடவாதபடி எனக்குப் புத்திசொல்லி விளம்பினதாவது: For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

12 இந்த ஜனங்கள் கட்டுப்பாடு என்று சொல்லுகிறதையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் கட்டுப்பாடு என்று சொல்லாமலும், அவர்கள் பயப்படுகிற பயத்தின்படி நீங்கள் பயப்படாமலும், கலங்காமலும், Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

13 சேனைகளின் கர்த்தரையே பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவரே உங்கள் பயமும் அவரே உங்கள் அச்சமுமாயிருப்பார். Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

14 அவர் உங்களுக்குப் பரிசுத்தஸ்தலமாயிருப்பார்; ஆகிலும் இஸ்ரவேலின் இரண்டு கோத்திரத்துக்கும் தடுக்கலின் கல்லும், இடறுதலின் கன்மலையும், எருசலேமின் குடிகளுக்குச் சுருக்கும் கண்ணியுமாயிருப்பார். And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

15 அவர்களில் அநேகர் இடறி விழுந்து நொறுங்கிச் சிக்குண்டு பிடிபடுவார்கள். And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

16 சாட்சி ஆகமத்தைக் கட்டி, என் சீஷருக்குள்ளே வேதத்தை முத்திரையிடு என்றார். Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17 நானோ யாக்கோபின் குடும்பத்துக்குத் தமது முகத்தை மறைக்கிற கர்த்தருக்காகக் காத்திருந்து, அவருக்கு எதிர்பார்த்திருப்பேன். And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

18 இதோ, நானும், கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த பிள்ளைகளும் சீயோன் பர்வதத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிற சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராலே இஸ்ரவேலில் அடையாளங்களாகவும் அற்புதங்களாகவும் இருக்கிறோம். Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

19 அவர்கள் உங்களை நோக்கி: அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களிடத்திலும், முணுமுணென்று ஓதுகிற குறிகாரரிடத்திலும் விசாரியுங்கள் என்று சொல்லும்போது, ஜனங்கள் தன் தேவனிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கவேண்டியதல்லவோ? உயிருள்ளவர்களுக்காகச் செத்தவர்களிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கலாமோ? And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

20 வேதத்தையும் சாட்சி ஆகமத்தையும் கவனிக்கவேண்டும்; இந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே சொல்லாவிட்டால், அவர்களுக்கு விடியற்காலத்து வெளிச்சமில்லை. To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

21 இடுக்கண் அடைந்தவர்களாயும் பட்டினியாயும் தேசத்தைக் கடந்துபோவார்கள்; அவர்கள் பட்டினியாயிருக்கும்போது, மூர்க்கவெறிகொண்டு, தங்கள் ராஜாவையும் தங்கள் தேவனையும் தூஷிப்பார்கள். And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

22 அவர்கள் அண்ணாந்து பார்ப்பார்கள், பூமியையும் நோக்கிப் பார்ப்பார்கள்; ஆனாலும் இதோ, இக்கட்டும் அந்தகாரமும் இருக்கும்; இடுக்கத்தால் இருளடைந்து, அந்தகாரத்திலே தள்ளுண்டு அலைவார்கள். And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

1 Pinnum Karththar ennai Nnokki: nee oru periya paaththiraththai eduththu manushan eluthukira pirakaaramaay athilae makaer-saalaal-ash-paas entu eluthu entar. Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

2 Appoluthu naan unnmaiyulla saatchikkaararaakiya aasaariyanaana uriyaavaiyum, yeperekiyaavin kumaaranaana sakariyaavaiyum atharkuch saatchikalaaka vaiththukkonntaen. And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

3 Naan theerkkatharisiyaanavalaich sernthapothu, aval karppavathiyaaki oru kumaaranaip pettaாl; appoluthu Karththar ennai Nnokki: makaer-saalaal-ash-paas ennum paerai avanukku idu. And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.

4 Inthap paalakan, appaa, ammaa entu kooppida ariyumunnae, thamaskuvin aasthiyaiyum, samaariyaavin kollaiyum, aseeriyaavin raajaavukku munpaakak konndupokappadum entar. For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

5 Pinnum Karththar ennai Nnokki: The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,

6 Intha janam methuvaay odukira seelovaavin thannnneerkalai asattaைpannnni, raethseenaiyum remaliyaavin kumaaranaiyum saarnthu santhoshikkirapatiyinaal, Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;

7 Itho, aanndavar vallamaiyulla thiralaana aattaுneeraipponta aseeriyaavin raajaavaiyum, avanutaiya sakala aadamparaththaiyum avarkalmael puralappannnuvaar; athu avarkalutaiya otaikalellaavattinmaelum poy, avarkalutaiya ellaak karaikalmaelum puranndu, Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

8 Yoothaavukkul pukunthu piravaakiththuk kadanthu, kaluththumattum varum entar. Immaanuvaelae, avan settaைkalin virivu umathu thaesaththin visaalaththai moodum. And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

9 Janangalae, neengal koottangaூdungal, muriyatikkappaduveerkal; thoora thaesaththaaraakiya neengal ellaarum sevikodungal; itaikkattikkollungal, murinthoduveerkal, Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.

10 Aalosanai seyyungal, athu apaththamaakum; vaarththaiyai vasaniyungal, athu nirkaathu; Dhevan engalotae irukkiraar. Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

11 Karththarutaiya karam enmael amarnthu, avar ennudanae paesi, naan intha janaththin valiyilae nadavaathapati enakkup puththisolli vilampinathaavathu: For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

12 Intha janangal kattuppaadu entu sollukirathaiyellaam neengal kattuppaadu entu sollaamalum, avarkal payappadukira payaththinpati neengal payappadaamalum, kalangaamalum, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

13 Senaikalin karththaraiyae Parisuththampannnungal; avarae ungal payamum avarae ungal achchamumaayiruppaar. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

14 Avar ungalukkup Parisuththasthalamaayiruppaar; aakilum isravaelin iranndu koththiraththukkum thadukkalin kallum, idaraுthalin kanmalaiyum, erusalaemin kutikalukkuch surukkum kannnniyumaayiruppaar. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

15 Avarkalil anaekar idari vilunthu noraுngich sikkunndu pitipaduvaarkal. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

16 Saatchi aakamaththaik katti, en seesharukkullae vaethaththai muththiraiyidu entar. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17 Naano yaakkopin kudumpaththukkuth thamathu mukaththai maraikkira karththarukkaakak kaaththirunthu, avarukku ethirpaarththiruppaen. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

18 Itho, naanum, Karththar enakkuk koduththa pillaikalum seeyon parvathaththil vaasamaayirukkira senaikalin karththaraalae isravaelil ataiyaalangalaakavum arputhangalaakavum irukkirom. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

19 Avarkal ungalai Nnokki: anjanam paarkkiravarkalidaththilum, munumunnentu othukira kurikaararidaththilum visaariyungal entu sollumpothu, janangal than thaevanidaththil visaarikkavaenntiyathallavo? Uyirullavarkalukkaakach seththavarkalidaththil visaarikkalaamo? And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

20 Vaethaththaiyum saatchi aakamaththaiyum kavanikkavaenndum; intha vaarththaiyinpatiyae sollaavittal, avarkalukku vitiyarkaalaththu velichchamillai. To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

21 Idukkann atainthavarkalaayum pattiniyaayum thaesaththaik kadanthupovaarkal; avarkal pattiniyaayirukkumpothu, moorkkaverikonndu, thangal raajaavaiyum thangal thaevanaiyum thooshippaarkal. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

22 Avarkal annnnaanthu paarppaarkal, poomiyaiyum Nnokkip paarppaarkal; aanaalum itho, ikkattum anthakaaramum irukkum; idukkaththaal irulatainthu, anthakaaraththilae thallunndu alaivaarkal. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
