Genesis 4 in Tamil

1 ஆதாம் தன் மனைவியாகிய ஏவாளை அறிந்தான்; அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி, காயீனைப் பெற்று, கர்த்தரால் ஒரு மனுஷனைப் பெற்றேன் என்றாள். And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

2 பின்பு அவனுடைய சகோதரனாகிய ஆபேலைப் பெற்றாள்; ஆபேல் ஆடுகளை மேய்க்கிறவனானான், காயீன் நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவனானான். And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3 சிலநாள் சென்றபின்பு, காயீன் நிலத்தின் கனிகளைக் கர்த்தருக்குக் காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுவந்தான். And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

4 ஆபேலும் தன் மந்தையின் தலையீற்றுகளிலும் அவைகளின் கொழுமையானவைகளிலும் சிலவற்றைக் கொண்டுவந்தான். ஆபேலையும் அவன் காணிக்கையையும் கர்த்தர் அங்கிகரித்தார். And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 காயீனையும் அவன் காணிக்கையையும் அவர் அங்கிகரிக்கவில்லை. அப்பொழுது காயீனுக்கு மிகவும் எரிச்சல் உண்டாகி, அவன் முகநாடி வேறுபட்டது. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் காயீனை நோக்கி: உனக்கு ஏன் எரிச்சல் உண்டாயிற்று? உன் முகநாடி ஏன் வேறுபட்டது? And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7 நீ நன்மை செய்தால் மேன்மை இல்லையோ? நீ நன்மைசெய்யாதிருந்தால் பாவம் வாசற்படியில் படுத்திருக்கும்; அவன் ஆசை உன்னைப் பற்றியிருக்கும், நீ அவனை ஆண்டுகொள்ளுவாய் என்றார். If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 காயீன் தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆபேலோடே பேசினான்; அவர்கள் வயல் வெளியில் இருக்கும் சமயத்தில், காயீன் தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆபேலுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பி, அவனைக் கொலைசெய்தான். And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 கர்த்தர் காயீனை நோக்கி: உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆபேல் எங்கே என்றார்; அதற்கு அவன்: நான் அறியேன்; என் சகோதரனுக்கு நான் காவலாளியோ என்றான். And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

10 அதற்கு அவர்: என்ன செய்தாய்? உன் சகோதரனுடைய இரத்தத்தின் சத்தம் பூமியிலிருந்து என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறது. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 இப்பொழுது உன் சகோதரனுடைய இரத்தத்தை உன் கையிலே வாங்கிக்கொள்ளத் தன் வாயைத் திறந்த இந்தப் பூமியில் நீ சபிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பாய். And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 நீ நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடும்போது, அது தன் பலனை இனி உனக்குக் கொடாது; நீ பூமியில் நிலையற்று அலைகிறவனாயிருப்பாய் என்றார். When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 அப்பொழுது காயீன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: எனக்கு இட்ட தண்டனை என்னால் சகிக்கமுடியாது. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 இன்று என்னை இந்தத் தேசத்திலிருந்து துரத்திவிடுகிறீர்; நான் உமது சமுகத்துக்கு விலகி மறைந்து, பூமியில் நிலையற்று அலைகிறவனாயிருப்பேன்; என்னைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறவன் எவனும் என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடுவானே என்றான். Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: காயீனைக் கொல்லுகிற எவன் மேலும் ஏழு பழி சுமரும் என்று சொல்லி; காயீனைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறவன் எவனும் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடாதபடிக்குக் கர்த்தர் அவன்மேல் ஒரு அடையாளத்தைப் போட்டார். And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

16 அப்படியே காயீன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, ஏதேனுக்குக் கிழக்கான நோத் என்னும் தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்தான். And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17 காயீன் தன் மனைவியை அறிந்தான்; அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாகி, ஏனோக்கைப் பெற்றாள்; அப்பொழுது அவன் ஒரு பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டி, அந்தப் பட்டணத்துக்குத் தன் குமாரனாகிய எனோக்கின் பேரை இட்டான். And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

18 எனோக்குக்கு ஈராத் பிறந்தான்; ஈராத் மெகுயவேலைப் பெற்றான்; மெகுயவேல் மெத்தூசவேலைப் பெற்றான்; மெத்தூசவேல் லாமேக்கைப் பெற்றான். And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

19 லாமேக்கு இரண்டு ஸ்திரீகளை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்; ஒருத்திக்கு ஆதாள் என்று பேர், மற்றொருத்திக்குச் சில்லாள் என்று பேர். And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

20 ஆதாள் யாபாலைப் பெற்றாள்; அவன் கூடாரங்களில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களுக்கும் மந்தை மேய்க்கிறவர்களுக்கும் தகப்பனானான். And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

21 அவன் சகோதரனுடைய பேர் யூபால்; அவன் கின்னரக்காரர் நாகசுரக்காரர் யாவருக்கும் தகப்பனானான். And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

22 சில்லாளும் தூபால் காயீனைப் பெற்றாள்; அவன் பித்தளை இரும்பு முதலியவற்றின் தொழிலாளர் யாவருக்கும் ஆசாரியனானான்; தூபால் காயீனுடைய சகோதரி நாமாள். And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

23 லாமேக்கு தன் மனைவிகளைப் பார்த்து: ஆதாளே, சில்லாளே, நான் சொல்வதைக் கேளுங்கள்; லாமேக்கின் மனைவிகளே, என் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; எனக்குக் காயமுண்டாக ஒரு மனுஷனைக் கொன்றேன்; எனக்குத் தழும்புண்டாக ஒரு வாலிபனைக் கொலை செய்தேன்; And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

24 காயீனுக்காக ஏழுபழி சுமருமானால், லாமேக்குக்காக எழுபத்தேழு பழி சுமரும் என்றான். If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

25 பின்னும் ஆதாம் தன் மனைவியை அறிந்தான்; அவள் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று: காயீன் கொலைசெய்த ஆபேலுக்குப் பதிலாக, தேவன் எனக்கு வேறொரு புத்திரனைக் கொடுத்தார் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு சேத் என்று பேரிட்டாள். And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

26 சேத்துக்கும் ஒரு குமாரன் பிறந்தான்; அவனுக்கு ஏனோஸ் என்று பேரிட்டான்; அப்பொழுது மனுஷர் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ள ஆரம்பித்தார்கள். And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

1 Aathaam than manaiviyaakiya aevaalai arinthaan; aval karppavathiyaaki, kaayeenaip pettaு, karththaraal oru manushanaip petten ental. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

2 Pinpu avanutaiya sakotharanaakiya aapaelaip pettaாl; aapael aadukalai maeykkiravanaanaan, kaayeen nilaththaip payiridukiravanaanaan. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3 Silanaal sentapinpu, kaayeen nilaththin kanikalaik karththarukkuk kaannikkaiyaakak konnduvanthaan. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

4 Aapaelum than manthaiyin thalaiyeettaுkalilum avaikalin kolumaiyaanavaikalilum silavattaைk konnduvanthaan. Aapaelaiyum avan kaannikkaiyaiyum Karththar angikariththaar. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 Kaayeenaiyum avan kaannikkaiyaiyum avar angikarikkavillai. Appoluthu kaayeenukku mikavum erichchal unndaaki, avan mukanaati vaeraுpattathu. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 Appoluthu Karththar kaayeenai Nnokki: unakku aen erichchal unndaayittaு? Un mukanaati aen vaeraுpattathu? And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7 Nee nanmai seythaal maenmai illaiyo? Nee nanmaiseyyaathirunthaal paavam vaasarpatiyil paduththirukkum; avan aasai unnaip pattiyirukkum, nee avanai aanndukolluvaay entar. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 Kaayeen than sakotharanaakiya aapaelotae paesinaan; avarkal vayal veliyil irukkum samayaththil, kaayeen than sakotharanaakiya aapaelukku virothamaay elumpi, avanaik kolaiseythaan. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 Karththar kaayeenai Nnokki: un sakotharanaakiya aapael engae entar; atharku avan: naan ariyaen; en sakotharanukku naan kaavalaaliyo entan. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

10 Atharku avar: enna seythaay? Un sakotharanutaiya iraththaththin saththam poomiyilirunthu ennai Nnokkik kooppidukirathu. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 Ippoluthu un sakotharanutaiya iraththaththai un kaiyilae vaangikkollath than vaayaith thirantha inthap poomiyil nee sapikkappattiruppaay. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 Nee nilaththaip payiridumpothu, athu than palanai ini unakkuk kodaathu; nee poomiyil nilaiyattaு alaikiravanaayiruppaay entar. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 Appoluthu kaayeen karththarai Nnokki: enakku itta thanndanai ennaal sakikkamutiyaathu. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Intu ennai inthath thaesaththilirunthu thuraththividukireer; naan umathu samukaththukku vilaki marainthu, poomiyil nilaiyattaு alaikiravanaayiruppaen; ennaik kanndupitikkiravan evanum ennaik kontupoduvaanae entan. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 Appoluthu Karththar avanai Nnokki: kaayeenaik kollukira evan maelum aelu pali sumarum entu solli; kaayeenaik kanndupitikkiravan evanum avanaik kontupodaathapatikkuk Karththar avanmael oru ataiyaalaththaip pottar. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

16 Appatiyae kaayeen karththarutaiya sannithiyaivittup purappattu, aethaenukkuk kilakkaana Nnoth ennum thaesaththil kutiyirunthaan. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17 Kaayeen than manaiviyai arinthaan; aval karppavathiyaaki, aenokkaip pettaாl; appoluthu avan oru pattanaththaik katti, anthap pattanaththukkuth than kumaaranaakiya enokkin paerai ittan. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

18 Enokkukku eeraath piranthaan; eeraath mekuyavaelaip pettaாn; mekuyavael meththoosavaelaip pettaாn; meththoosavael laamaekkaip pettaாn. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

19 Laamaekku iranndu sthireekalai vivaakampannnninaan; oruththikku aathaal entu paer, mattaொruththikkuch sillaal entu paer. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

20 Aathaal yaapaalaip pettaாl; avan koodaarangalil vaasampannnukiravarkalukkum manthai maeykkiravarkalukkum thakappanaanaan. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

21 Avan sakotharanutaiya paer yoopaal; avan kinnarakkaarar naakasurakkaarar yaavarukkum thakappanaanaan. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

22 Sillaalum thoopaal kaayeenaip pettaாl; avan piththalai irumpu muthaliyavattin tholilaalar yaavarukkum aasaariyanaanaan; thoopaal kaayeenutaiya sakothari naamaal. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

23 Laamaekku than manaivikalaip paarththu: aathaalae, sillaalae, naan solvathaik kaelungal; laamaekkin manaivikalae, en saththaththukkuch sevikodungal; enakkuk kaayamunndaaka oru manushanaik konten; enakkuth thalumpunndaaka oru vaalipanaik kolai seythaen; And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

24 Kaayeenukkaaka aelupali sumarumaanaal, laamaekkukkaaka elupaththaelu pali sumarum entan. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

25 Pinnum aathaam than manaiviyai arinthaan; aval oru kumaaranaip pettaு: kaayeen kolaiseytha aapaelukkup pathilaaka, Dhevan enakku vaeroru puththiranaik koduththaar entu solli, avanukku seth entu paerittal. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

26 Seththukkum oru kumaaran piranthaan; avanukku aenos entu paerittan; appoluthu manushar karththarutaiya naamaththaith tholuthukolla aarampiththaarkal. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
