Genesis 32 in Tamil

1 யாக்கோபு பிரயாணம்பண்ணுகையில், தேவதூதர்கள் அவனைச் சந்தித்தார்கள். And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

2 யாக்கோபு அவர்களைக் கண்டபோது: இது தேவனுடைய சேனை என்று சொல்லி, அந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு மக்னாயீம் என்று பேரிட்டான். And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

3 பின்பு, யாக்கோபு ஏதோம் சீமையாகிய சேயீர் தேசத்திலிருக்கிற தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவினிடத்துக்குப் போகும்படி ஆட்களை அழைப்பித்து: And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

4 நீங்கள் என் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஏசாவினிடத்தில் போய், நான் இதுவரைக்கும் லாபானிடத்தில் தங்கியிருந்தேன் என்றும், And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:

5 எனக்கு எருதுகளும், கழுதைகளும், ஆடுகளும், வேலைக்காரரும், வேலைக்காரிகளும் உண்டென்றும், உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவுகிடைக்கத்தக்கதாக ஆண்டவனாகிய உமக்கு இதை அறிவிக்கும்படி ஆட்களை அனுப்பினேன் என்றும் உம்முடைய தாசனாகிய யாக்கோபு சொல்லச்சொன்னான் என்று சொல்லும்படி கட்டளைகொடுத்துத் தனக்கு முன்னாக அவர்களை அனுப்பினான். And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.

6 அந்த ஆட்கள் யாக்கோபினிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிவந்து: நாங்கள் உம்முடைய சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவினிடத்துக்குப் போய்வந்தோம்; அவரும் நானூறு பேரோடே உம்மை எதிர்கொள்ள வருகிறார் என்றார்கள். And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.

7 அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு மிகவும் பயந்து, வியாகுலப்பட்டு, தன்னிடத்திலிருந்த ஜனங்களையும் ஆடுமாடுகளையும் ஒட்டகங்களையும் இரண்டு பகுதியாகப் பிரித்து: Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;

8 ஏசா ஒரு பகுதியின்மேல் விழுந்து அதை முறிய அடித்தாலும், மற்றப் பகுதி தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள இடம் உண்டு என்றான். And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.

9 பின்பு யாக்கோபு: என் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும், என் தகப்பனாகிய ஈசாக்கின் தேவனுமாய் இருக்கிறவரே: உன் தேசத்துக்கும் உன் இனத்தாரிடத்துக்கும் திரும்பிப்போ, உனக்கு நன்மை செய்வேன் என்று என்னுடனே சொல்லியிருக்கிற கர்த்தாவே, And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:

10 அடியேனுக்குத் தேவரீர் காண்பித்த எல்லா தயவுக்கும் எல்லா சத்தியத்துக்கும் நான் எவ்வளவேனும் பாத்திரன் அல்ல, நான் கோலும் கையுமாய் இந்த யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோனேன்; இப்பொழுது இவ்விரண்டு பரிவாரங்களையும் உடையவனானேன். I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast showed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

11 என் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவின் கைக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும், அவன் வந்து என்னையும் பிள்ளைகளையும் தாய்மார்களையும் முறிய அடிப்பான் என்று நான் அவனுக்குப் பயந்திருக்கிறேன். Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.

12 தேவரீரோ: நான் உனக்கு மெய்யாகவே நன்மைசெய்து, உன் சந்ததியை எண்ணிமுடியாத கடற்கரை மணலைப்போல மிகவும் பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று சொன்னீரே என்றான். And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

13 அன்று ராத்திரி அவன் அங்கே தங்கி, தன் கைக்கு உதவினவைகளிலே தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவுக்கு வெகுமானமாக, And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;

14 இருநூறு வெள்ளாடுகளையும், இருபது வெள்ளாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும், இருநூறு செம்மறியாடுகளையும், இருபது ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,

15 பால் கொடுக்கிற முப்பது ஒட்டகங்களையும், அவைகளின் குட்டிகளையும், நாற்பது கடாரிகளையும், பத்துக் காளைகளையும், இருபது கோளிகைக் கழுதைகளையும், பத்துக் கழுதைக்குட்டிகளையும் பிரித்தெடுத்து, Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals.

17 முன்னே போகிறவனை நோக்கி: என் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசா உனக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டு: நீ யாருடையவன்? எங்கே போகிறாய்? உனக்குமுன் போகிற மந்தை யாருடையது? என்று உன்னைக் கேட்டால், And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou? and whose are these before thee?

18 நீ: இது உமது அடியானாகிய யாக்கோபுடையது; இது என் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஏசாவுக்கு அனுப்பப்படுகிற வெகுமதி; இதோ, அவனும் எங்கள் பின்னே வருகிறான் என்று சொல் என்றான். Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.

19 இரண்டாம் மூன்றாம் வேலைக்காரனையும், மந்தைகளின் பின்னாலே போகிற அனைவரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்களும் ஏசாவைக் காணும்போது, இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக அவனோடே சொல்லி, And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him.

And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.

21 அந்தப்படியே வெகுமதி அவனுக்குமுன் போயிற்று; அவனோ அன்று ராத்திரி பாளயத்திலே தங்கி, So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.

22 இராத்திரியில் எழுந்திருந்து, தன் இரண்டு மனைவிகளையும், தன் இரண்டு பணிவிடைக்காரிகளையும், தன்னுடைய பதினொரு குமாரரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, யாப்போக்கு என்கிற ஆற்றின் துறையைக் கடந்தான். And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.

23 அவர்களையும் சேர்த்து, ஆற்றைக் கடக்கப்பண்ணி, தனக்கு உண்டான யாவையும் அக்கரைப்படுத்தினான். And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.

24 யாக்கோபு பிந்தித் தரித்திருந்தான்; அப்பொழுது ஒரு புருஷன் பொழுது விடியுமளவும் அவனுடனே போராடி, And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25 அவனை மேற்கொள்ளாததைக் கண்டு, அவனுடைய தொடைச்சந்தைத் தொட்டார்; அதினால் அவருடனே போராடுகையில் யாக்கோபின் தொடைச்சந்து சுளுக்கிற்று. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26 அவர்: நான் போகட்டும், பொழுது விடிகிறது என்றார். அதற்கு அவன்: நீர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்தாலொழிய உம்மைப் போகவிடேன் என்றான். And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

27 அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் பேர் என்ன என்று கேட்டார்; யாக்கோபு என்றான். And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28 அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் பேர் இனி யாக்கோபு என்னப்படாமல் இஸ்ரவேல் என்னப்படும்; தேவனோடும் மனிதரோடும் போராடி மேற்கொண்டாயே என்றார். And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29 அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: உம்முடைய நாமத்தை எனக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்: நீ என் நாமத்தைக் கேட்பானேன் என்று சொல்லி, அங்கே அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்தார். And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

30 அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: நான் தேவனை முகமுகமாய்க் கண்டேன், உயிர் தப்பிப் பிழைத்தேன் என்று சொல்லி, அந்த ஸ்தலத்துக்கு பெனியேல் என்று பேரிட்டான். And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

31 அவன் பெனியேலைக் கடந்து போகையில், சூரியன் உதயமாயிற்று; அவன் தொடைச்சுழுக்கினாலே நொண்டி நொண்டி நடந்தான். And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.

Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

1 Yaakkopu pirayaanampannnukaiyil, thaevathootharkal avanaich santhiththaarkal. And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

2 Yaakkopu avarkalaik kanndapothu: ithu thaevanutaiya senai entu solli, antha sthalaththirku maknaayeem entu paerittan. And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

3 Pinpu, yaakkopu aethom seemaiyaakiya seyeer thaesaththilirukkira than sakotharanaakiya aesaavinidaththukkup pokumpati aatkalai alaippiththu: And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

4 Neengal en aanndavanaakiya aesaavinidaththil poy, naan ithuvaraikkum laapaanidaththil thangiyirunthaen entum, And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:

5 Enakku eruthukalum, kaluthaikalum, aadukalum, vaelaikkaararum, vaelaikkaarikalum unndentum, ummutaiya kannkalil enakkuth thayavukitaikkaththakkathaaka aanndavanaakiya umakku ithai arivikkumpati aatkalai anuppinaen entum ummutaiya thaasanaakiya yaakkopu sollachchaொnnaan entu sollumpati kattalaikoduththuth thanakku munnaaka avarkalai anuppinaan. And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.

6 Antha aatkal yaakkopinidaththukkuth thirumpivanthu: naangal ummutaiya sakotharanaakiya aesaavinidaththukkup poyvanthom; avarum naanooraு paerotae ummai ethirkolla varukiraar entarkal. And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.

7 Appoluthu yaakkopu mikavum payanthu, viyaakulappattu, thannidaththiliruntha janangalaiyum aadumaadukalaiyum ottakangalaiyum iranndu pakuthiyaakap piriththu: Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;

8 Aesaa oru pakuthiyinmael vilunthu athai muriya atiththaalum, mattap pakuthi thappiththukkolla idam unndu entan. And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.

9 Pinpu yaakkopu: en thakappanaakiya aapirakaamin thaevanum, en thakappanaakiya eesaakkin thaevanumaay irukkiravarae: un thaesaththukkum un inaththaaridaththukkum thirumpippo, unakku nanmai seyvaen entu ennudanae solliyirukkira karththaavae, And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:

10 Atiyaenukkuth thaevareer kaannpiththa ellaa thayavukkum ellaa saththiyaththukkum naan evvalavaenum paaththiran alla, naan kolum kaiyumaay intha yorthaanaik kadanthuponaen; ippoluthu ivviranndu parivaarangalaiyum utaiyavanaanaen. 11 En sakotharanaakiya aesaavin kaikku ennaith thappuviyum, avan vanthu ennaiyum pillaikalaiyum thaaymaarkalaiyum muriya atippaan entu naan avanukkup payanthirukkiraேn. Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.

12 Thaevareero: naan unakku meyyaakavae nanmaiseythu, un santhathiyai ennnnimutiyaatha kadarkarai manalaippola mikavum perukappannnuvaen entu sonneerae entan. And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

13 Antu raaththiri avan angae thangi, than kaikku uthavinavaikalilae than sakotharanaakiya aesaavukku vekumaanamaaka, And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;

14 Irunooraு vellaadukalaiyum, irupathu vellaattuk kadaakkalaiyum, irunooraு semmariyaadukalaiyum, irupathu aattukkadaakkalaiyum, Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,

15 Paal kodukkira muppathu ottakangalaiyum, avaikalin kuttikalaiyum, naarpathu kadaarikalaiyum, paththuk kaalaikalaiyum, irupathu kolikaik kaluthaikalaiyum, paththuk kaluthaikkuttikalaiyum piriththeduththu, Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals.

16 Vaelaikkaarar kaiyil ovvoru manthaiyaith thaniththaniyaaka oppuviththu, neengal manthai manthaikku munnum pinnumaaka idam vittu enakku munnaaka ottikkonndupongal entu than vaelaikkaararukkuch solli, And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and drove.

17 Munnae pokiravanai Nnokki: en sakotharanaakiya aesaa unakku ethirppattu: nee yaarutaiyavan? Engae pokiraay? Unakkumun pokira manthai yaarutaiyathu? Entu unnaik kaettal, And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou? and whose are these before thee?

18 Nee: ithu umathu atiyaanaakiya yaakkoputaiyathu; ithu en aanndavanaakiya aesaavukku anuppappadukira vekumathi; itho, avanum engal pinnae varukiraan entu sol entan. Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.

19 Iranndaam moontam vaelaikkaaranaiyum, manthaikalin pinnaalae pokira anaivaraiyum Nnokki: neengalum aesaavaik kaanumpothu, inthappirakaaramaaka avanotae solli, And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him.

20 Itho, umathu atiyaanaakiya yaakkopu engal pinnaalae varukiraan entum sollungal entu kattalaiyittan; munnae vekumathiyai anuppi, avanaich saanthappaduththikkonndu, pinpu avan mukaththaip paarppaen, appoluthu oruvaelai enpaeril thayavaayiruppaan entan. And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.

21 Anthappatiyae vekumathi avanukkumun poyittaு; avano antu raaththiri paalayaththilae thangi, So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.

22 Iraaththiriyil elunthirunthu, than iranndu manaivikalaiyum, than iranndu pannivitaikkaarikalaiyum, thannutaiya pathinoru kumaararaiyum koottikkonndu, yaappokku enkira aattin thuraiyaik kadanthaan. And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.

23 Avarkalaiyum serththu, aattaைk kadakkappannnni, thanakku unndaana yaavaiyum akkaraippaduththinaan. And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.

24 Yaakkopu pinthith thariththirunthaan; appoluthu oru purushan poluthu vitiyumalavum avanudanae poraati, And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25 Avanai maerkollaathathaik kanndu, avanutaiya thotaichchanthaith thottar; athinaal avarudanae poraadukaiyil yaakkopin thotaichchanthu sulukkittaு. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26 Avar: naan pokattum, poluthu vitikirathu entar. Atharku avan: neer ennai aaseervathiththaaloliya ummaip pokavitaen entan. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

27 Appoluthu avar: un paer enna entu kaettar; yaakkopu entan. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28 Appoluthu avar: un paer ini yaakkopu ennappadaamal Israel ennappadum; thaevanodum manitharodum poraati maerkonndaayae entar. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29 Appoluthu yaakkopu: ummutaiya naamaththai enakku arivikkavaenndum entu kaettan; atharku avar: nee en naamaththaik kaetpaanaen entu solli, angae avanai aaseervathiththaar. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

30 Appoluthu yaakkopu: naan thaevanai mukamukamaayk kanntaen, uyir thappip pilaiththaen entu solli, antha sthalaththukku peniyael entu paerittan. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

31 Avan peniyaelaik kadanthu pokaiyil, sooriyan uthayamaayittaு; avan thotaichchulukkinaalae nonnti nonnti nadanthaan. And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.

32 Avar yaakkoputaiya thotaich santhu narampaith thottapatiyaal, Israel puththirar innaalvaraikkum thotaichchanthu narampaip pusikkirathillai. Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.
