Genesis 11 in Tamil

1 பூமியெங்கும் ஒரே பாஷையும், ஒரேவிதமான பேச்சும் இருந்தது. And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2 ஜனங்கள் கிழக்கேயிருந்து பிரயாணம்பண்ணுகையில், சிநேயார் தேசத்திலே சமபூமியைக்கண்டு, அங்கே குடியிருந்தார்கள். And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: நாம் செங்கல் அறுத்து, அதை நன்றாய்ச் சுடுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள்; கல்லுக்குப் பதிலாகச் செங்கல்லும், சாந்துக்குப் பதிலாக நிலக்கீலும் அவர்களுக்கு இருந்தது. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

4 பின்னும் அவர்கள்: நாம் பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் சிதறிப்போகாதபடிக்கு, நமக்கு ஒரு நகரத்தையும், வானத்தை அளாவும் சிகரமுள்ள ஒரு கோபுரத்தையும் கட்டி, நமக்குப் பேர் உண்டாகப் பண்ணுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள். And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 மனுபுத்திரர் கட்டுகிற நகரத்தையும் கோபுரத்தையும் பார்க்கிதற்குக் கர்த்தர் இறங்கினார். And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்: இதோ, ஜனங்கள் ஒரே கூட்டமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் ஒரே பாஷையும் இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் இதைச் செய்யத்தொடங்கினார்கள்; இப்பொழுதும் தாங்கள் செய்ய நினைத்தது ஒன்றும் தடைபடமாட்டாது என்று இருக்கிறார்கள். And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

7 நாம் இறங்கிப்போய், ஒருவர் பேசுவதை மற்றொருவர் அறியாதபடிக்கு அங்கே அவர்கள் பாஷையைத் தாறுமாறாக்குவோம் என்றார். Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

8 அப்படியே கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் சிதறிப்போகப்பண்ணினார்; அப்பொழுது நகரம் கட்டுகிறதை விட்டுவிட்டார்கள். So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 பூமியெங்கும் வழங்கின பாஷையைக் கர்த்தர் அவ்விடத்தில் தாறுமாறாக்கினபடியால், அதின் பேர் பாபேல் என்னப்பட்டது; கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் சிதறிப்போகப்பண்ணினார். Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

10 சேமுடைய வம்சவரலாறு: ஜலப்பிரளயம் உண்டாகி இரண்டு வருஷத்திற்குப் பின்பு, சேம் நூறுவயதானபோது, அர்பக்சாத்தைப் பெற்றான். These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

11 சேம் அர்பக்சாத்தைப் பெற்றபின் ஐந்நூறு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

12 அர்பக்சாத் முப்பத்தைந்து வயதானபோது சாலாவைப் பெற்றான். And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

13 சாலாவைப் பெற்றபின் அர்பக்சாத் நானூற்று மூன்று வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

14 சாலா முப்பது வயதானபோது, ஏபேரைப் பெற்றான். And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

15 ஏபேரைப் பெற்றபின் சாலா நானூற்று மூன்று வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

16 ஏபேர் முப்பத்துநாலு வயதானபோது, பேலேகைப் பெற்றான். And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

17 பேலேகைப் பெற்றபின் ஏபேர் நானூற்று முப்பது வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

18 பேலேகு முப்பது வயதானபோது, ரெகூவைப் பெற்றான். And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

19 ரெகூவைப் பெற்றபின் பேலேகு இருநூற்றொன்பது வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

20 ரெகூ முப்பத்திரண்டு வயதானபோது, செரூகைப் பெற்றான். And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

21 செரூகைப் பெற்றபின் ரெகூ இருநூற்றேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

22 செரூகு முப்பது வயதானபோது; நாகோரைப் பெற்றான். And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

23 நாகோரைப் பெற்றபின் செரூகு இருநூறு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

24 நாகோர் இருபத்தொன்பது வயதானபோது, தேராகைப் பெற்றான். And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

25 தேராகைப் பெற்றபின் நாகோர் நூற்றுப்பத்தொன்பது வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்து, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான். And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

26 தேராகு எழுபது வயதானபோது, ஆபிராம், நாகோர், ஆரான் என்பவர்களைப் பெற்றான். And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

27 தேராகுடைய வம்சவரலாறு: தேராகு ஆபிராம், நாகோர், ஆரான் என்பவர்களைப் பெற்றான்; ஆரான் லோத்தைப் பெற்றான். Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

28 ஆரான் தன் ஜந்மபூமியாகிய ஊர் என்கிற கல்தேயர் தேசத்துப் பட்டணத்திலே தன் தகப்பனாகிய தேராகு மரிக்குமுன்னே மரித்தான். And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

29 ஆபிராமும் நாகோரும் தங்களுக்குப் பெண்கொண்டார்கள்; ஆபிராமுடைய மனைவிக்குச் சாராய் என்று பேர்; நாகோருடைய மனைவிக்கு மில்க்காள் என்று பேர்; இவள் ஆரானுடைய குமாரத்தி; அந்த ஆரான் மில்க்காளுக்கும் இஸ்காளுக்கும் தகப்பன். And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

30 சாராய்க்குப் பிள்ளையில்லை, மலடியாயிருந்தாள். But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

31 தேராகு தன் குமாரனாகிய ஆபிராமையும், ஆரானுடைய குமாரனும் தன் பேரனுமாயிருந்த லோத்தையும், தன் குமாரன் ஆபிராமுடைய மனைவியாகிய தன் மருமகள் சாராயையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களுடனே ஊர் என்கிற கல்தேயருடைய பட்டணத்தைவிட்டு, கானான் தேசத்துக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்; அவர்கள் ஆரான்மட்டும் வந்தபோது, அங்கே இருந்துவிட்டார்கள். And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

32 தேராகுடைய ஆயுசுநாட்கள் இருநூற்றைந்து வருஷம்; தேராகு ஆரானிலே மரித்தான். And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

1 Poomiyengum orae paashaiyum, oraevithamaana paechchum irunthathu. And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2 Janangal kilakkaeyirunthu pirayaanampannnukaiyil, sinaeyaar thaesaththilae samapoomiyaikkanndu, angae kutiyirunthaarkal. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3 Appoluthu avarkal: naam sengal araுththu, athai nantaych suduvom vaarungal entu oruvarotoruvar paesikkonndaarkal; kallukkup pathilaakach sengallum, saanthukkup pathilaaka nilakgeelum avarkalukku irunthathu. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

4 Pinnum avarkal: naam poomiyinmeethengum sitharippokaathapatikku, namakku oru nakaraththaiyum, vaanaththai alaavum sikaramulla oru kopuraththaiyum katti, namakkup paer unndaakap pannnuvom vaarungal entu sollikkonndaarkal. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 Manupuththirar kattukira nakaraththaiyum kopuraththaiyum paarkkitharkuk Karththar iranginaar. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 Appoluthu Karththar: itho, janangal orae koottamaay irukkiraarkal; avarkal anaivarukkum orae paashaiyum irukkirathu; avarkal ithaich seyyaththodanginaarkal; ippoluthum thaangal seyya ninaiththathu ontum thataipadamaattathu entu irukkiraarkal. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

7 Naam irangippoy, oruvar paesuvathai mattaொruvar ariyaathapatikku angae avarkal paashaiyaith thaaraுmaaraakkuvom entar. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

8 Appatiyae Karththar avarkalai avvidaththilirunthu poomiyinmeethengum sitharippokappannnninaar; appoluthu nakaram kattukirathai vittuvittarkal. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 Poomiyengum valangina paashaiyaik Karththar avvidaththil thaaraுmaaraakkinapatiyaal, athin paer paapael ennappattathu; Karththar avarkalai avvidaththilirunthu poomiyinmeethengum sitharippokappannnninaar. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

10 Semutaiya vamsavaralaaraு: jalappiralayam unndaaki iranndu varushaththirkup pinpu, sem nooraுvayathaanapothu, arpaksaaththaip pettaாn. These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

11 Sem arpaksaaththaip pettapin ainnooraு varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

12 Arpaksaath muppaththainthu vayathaanapothu saalaavaip pettaாn. And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

13 Saalaavaip pettapin arpaksaath naanoottaு moontu varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

14 Saalaa muppathu vayathaanapothu, aepaeraip pettaாn. And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

15 Aepaeraip pettapin saalaa naanoottaு moontu varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

16 Aepaer muppaththunaalu vayathaanapothu, paelaekaip pettaாn. And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

17 Paelaekaip pettapin aepaer naanoottaு muppathu varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

18 Paelaeku muppathu vayathaanapothu, rekoovaip pettaாn. And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

19 Rekoovaip pettapin paelaeku irunoottaொnpathu varusham uyirotirunthu kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

20 Rekoo muppaththiranndu vayathaanapothu, serookaip pettaாn. And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

21 Serookaip pettapin rekoo irunoottelu varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

22 Serooku muppathu vayathaanapothu; naakoraip pettaாn. And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

23 Naakoraip pettapin serooku irunooraு varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

24 Naakor irupaththonpathu vayathaanapothu, thaeraakaip pettaாn. And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

25 Thaeraakaip pettapin naakor noottaுppaththonpathu varusham uyirotirunthu, kumaararaiyum kumaaraththikalaiyum pettaாn. And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

26 Thaeraaku elupathu vayathaanapothu, aapiraam, naakor, aaraan enpavarkalaip pettaாn. And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

27 Thaeraakutaiya vamsavaralaaraு: thaeraaku aapiraam, naakor, aaraan enpavarkalaip pettaாn; aaraan loththaip pettaாn. Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

28 Aaraan than janmapoomiyaakiya oor enkira kalthaeyar thaesaththup pattanaththilae than thakappanaakiya thaeraaku marikkumunnae mariththaan. And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

29 Aapiraamum naakorum thangalukkup pennkonndaarkal; aapiraamutaiya manaivikkuch saaraay entu paer; naakorutaiya manaivikku milkkaal entu paer; ival aaraanutaiya kumaaraththi; antha aaraan milkkaalukkum iskaalukkum thakappan. And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

30 Saaraaykkup pillaiyillai, malatiyaayirunthaal. But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

31 Thaeraaku than kumaaranaakiya aapiraamaiyum, aaraanutaiya kumaaranum than paeranumaayiruntha loththaiyum, than kumaaran aapiraamutaiya manaiviyaakiya than marumakal saaraayaiyum alaiththukkonndu, avarkaludanae oor enkira kalthaeyarutaiya pattanaththaivittu, kaanaan thaesaththukkup pokap purappattan; avarkal aaraanmattum vanthapothu, angae irunthuvittarkal. And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

32 Thaeraakutaiya aayusunaatkal irunoottaைnthu varusham; thaeraaku aaraanilae mariththaan. And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
