Job 15 in Tamil

1 அப்பொழுது தேமானியனாகிய எலிப்பாஸ் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,

2 ஞானவான் காற்றைப்போன்ற நியாயங்களைச் சொல்லி, தன் வயிற்றைக் கொண்டல்காற்றினால் நிரப்பி, Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

3 பிரயோஜனமில்லாத வார்த்தைகளாலும், உபயோகமில்லாத வசனங்களாலும் தர்க்கிக்கலாமோ? Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

4 நீர் பயபக்தியை வீணென்று செξல்லி, தேவனுக்கு ήுன்பாக ஜெபத்தியானத்தைக் ՠρறையப்பண்ணுகிறீர். Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

5 Ήம்முடைய வாய் உம்முடைய அக͠Εிரமத்தைச் சொல்லிக்காட்டுகிறது; நீர் தந்திரமுள்ளவர்களின் நாவைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டீர். For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 நான் அல்ல, உம்முடைய வாயே உம்மைக் குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கிறது; உம்முடைய உதடுகளே உமக்கு விரோதமாகச் சாட்சியிடுகிறது. Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

7 மனுஷரில் முந்திப் பிறந்தவர் நீர்தானோ? பர்வதங்களுக்குமுன்னே உருவாக்கப்பட்டீரோ? Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?

8 நீர் தேவனுடைய இரகசிய ஆலோசனையைக் கேட்டு, ஞானத்தை உம்மிடமாய்ச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டீரோ? Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?

9 நாங்கள் அறியாத எந்தக் காரியத்தை நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்? எங்களுக்கு விளங்காத எந்தக் காரியமாவது உமக்கு விளங்கியிருக்கிறதோ? What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?

10 உம்முடைய தகப்பனைப்பார்க்கிலும் பெரிய வயதுள்ள நரைத்தோரும் விருத்தாப்பியரும் எங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறார்களே. With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.

11 தேவன் அருளிய ஆறுதல்களும், உம்மோடே சொல்லப்படுகிற மிருதுவான பேச்சும் உமக்கு அற்பகாரியமாயிருக்கிறதோ? Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?

12 உம்முடைய இருதயம் உம்மை எங்கே கொண்டுபோகிறது? உம்முடைய கண்கள் நெறித்துப்பார்க்கிறது என்ன? Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,

13 தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாக உம்முடைய ஆவியை எழுப்பி, உம்முடைய வாயிலிருந்து வசனங்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணுகிறீர். That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?

14 மனுஷனானவன் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறதற்கும், ஸ்திரீயினிடத்தில் பிறந்தவன் நீதிமானாயிருக்கிறதற்கும், அவன் எம்மாத்திரம்? What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 இதோ, தம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களையும் அவர் நம்புகிறதில்லை; வானங்களும் அவர் பார்வைக்குச் சுத்தமானவைகள் அல்ல. Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

16 அநியாயத்தைத் தண்ணீரைப்போலக் குடிக்கிற மனுஷன் எத்தனை அதிகமாய் அருவருப்பும் அசுத்தமுமாயிருக்கிறான்? How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

17 உமக்குக் காரியத்தைத் தெரியப்பண்ணுவேன், என்னைக் கேளும், நான் கண்டதை உமக்கு விவரித்துச் சொல்லுவேன். I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;

18 ஞானிகள் தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் சொல்லக் கேட்டு மறைக்காமல் அறிவித்ததையே நான் சொல்லுவேன். Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:

19 அவர்களுக்குமாத்திரம் பூமி அளிக்கப்பட்டது; அந்நியர் அவர்கள் நடுவே கடந்துபோக இடமில்லை. Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.

20 துன்மார்க்கன் உயிரோடிருக்கிற நாளெல்லாம் துன்பத்தால் வாதிக்கப்படுகிறான்; பலவந்தம்பண்ணுகிறவனுக்கு அவன் வருஷங்களின் தொகை மறைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

21 பயங்கரமான சத்தம் அவன் காதுகளில் தொனிக்கிறது; அவன் சமாதானமாயிருக்கையில் பாழாக்கிறவன் அவன்மேல் வருவான். A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

22 இருளிலிருந்து திரும்பிவர அவனுக்கு நம்பிக்கையில்லாமல், பதிவிருக்கிறவர்களின் பட்டயத்துக்கு அவன் பயப்படுகிறான். He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

23 அப்பம் எங்கே கிடைக்குமென்று அவன் அலைந்து திரிகிறான்; அந்தகாரநாள் தனக்குச் சமீபித்திருக்கிறதை அறிவான். He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

24 இக்கட்டும் நெருக்கமும் அவனைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணி, யுத்தசன்னத்தனான ராஜாவைப்போல அவனை மேற்கொள்ளும். Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

25 அவன் தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கைநீட்டி, சர்வவல்லவருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பராக்கிரமம் பாராட்டுகிறான். For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.

26 கடினக்கழுத்தோடும், பருத்த குமிழுள்ள தன் கேடயங்களோடும் அவருக்கு எதிராக ஓடுகிறான். He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:

27 அவன் முகத்தைக் கொழுப்பு மூடியிருக்கிறது; அடிவயிறு தொந்தி விட்டிருக்கிறது. Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.

28 ஆனாலும் பாழான பட்டணங்களிலும், குடிபோன கற்குவியலான வீடுகளிலும் வாசம்பண்ணுவான். And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.

29 அவன் ஐசுவரியவானாவதுமில்லை, அவன் ஆஸ்தி நிலைப்பதுமில்லை, அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களின் செல்வம் பூமியில் நீடித்திருப்பதில்லை. He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.

30 இருளுக்கு அவன் தப்புவதில்லை; அக்கினி ஜுவாலை அவனுடைய கிளையைக் காய்ந்துபோகப்பண்ணும்; அவருடைய வாயின் சுவாசத்தால் அற்றுப்போவான். He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.

31 வழிதப்பினவன் மாயையை நம்பானாக; நம்பினால் மாயையே அவன் பலனாயிருக்கும். Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.

32 அது அவன் நாள் வருமுன்னே அவனுக்குப் பூரணமாய்ப் பலிக்கும்; அவனுடைய கொப்புப் பச்சைகொள்வதில்லை. It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.

33 பிஞ்சுகள் உதிர்ந்துபோகிற திராட்சச்செடியைப்போலவும், பூக்கள் உதிர்ந்து போகிற ஒலிவமரத்தைப்போலவும் அவன் இருப்பான். He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

34 மாயக்காரரின் கூட்டம் வெறுமையாய்ப் போம்; பரிதானம் வாங்கினவர்களின் கூடாரங்களை அக்கினி பட்சிக்கும். For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

35 அப்படிப்பட்டவன் அநியாயத்தைக் கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, அக்கிரமத்தைப் பெறுகிறான்; அவர்கள் கர்ப்பம் மாயையைப் பிறப்பிக்கும் என்றான். They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.

1 Appoluthu thaemaaniyanaakiya elippaas pirathiyuththaramaaka: Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,

2 Njaanavaan kaattaைpponta niyaayangalaich solli, than vayittaைk konndalkaattinaal nirappi, Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

3 Pirayojanamillaatha vaarththaikalaalum, upayokamillaatha vasanangalaalum tharkkikkalaamo? Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

4 Neer payapakthiyai veennentu seξlli, thaevanukku ήுnpaaka jepaththiyaanaththaik ՠρraiyappannnukireer. Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

5 Ήmmutaiya vaay ummutaiya aka͠Εிramaththaich sollikkaattukirathu; neer thanthiramullavarkalin naavaith therinthukonnteer. For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

6 Naan alla, ummutaiya vaayae ummaik kuttavaali entu theerkkirathu; ummutaiya uthadukalae umakku virothamaakach saatchiyidukirathu. Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

7 Manusharil munthip piranthavar neerthaano? Parvathangalukkumunnae uruvaakkappattiro? Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?

8 Neer thaevanutaiya irakasiya aalosanaiyaik kaettu, njaanaththai ummidamaaych serththukkonnteero? Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?

9 Naangal ariyaatha enthak kaariyaththai neer arinthirukkireer? Engalukku vilangaatha enthak kaariyamaavathu umakku vilangiyirukkiratho? What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?

10 Ummutaiya thakappanaippaarkkilum periya vayathulla naraiththorum viruththaappiyarum engalukkul irukkiraarkalae. With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.

11 Dhevan aruliya aaraுthalkalum, ummotae sollappadukira miruthuvaana paechchum umakku arpakaariyamaayirukkiratho? Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?

12 Ummutaiya iruthayam ummai engae konndupokirathu? Ummutaiya kannkal neriththuppaarkkirathu enna? Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,

13 Thaevanukku virothamaaka ummutaiya aaviyai eluppi, ummutaiya vaayilirunthu vasanangalaip purappadappannnukireer. That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?

14 Manushanaanavan Parisuththamaayirukkiratharkum, sthireeyinidaththil piranthavan neethimaanaayirukkiratharkum, avan emmaaththiram? What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15 Itho, thammutaiya Parisuththavaankalaiyum avar nampukirathillai; vaanangalum avar paarvaikkuch suththamaanavaikal alla. Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

16 Aniyaayaththaith thannnneeraippolak kutikkira manushan eththanai athikamaay aruvaruppum asuththamumaayirukkiraan? How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

17 Umakkuk kaariyaththaith theriyappannnuvaen, ennaik kaelum, naan kanndathai umakku vivariththuch solluvaen. I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;

18 Njaanikal thangal pithaakkal sollak kaettu maraikkaamal ariviththathaiyae naan solluvaen. Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:

19 Avarkalukkumaaththiram poomi alikkappattathu; anniyar avarkal naduvae kadanthupoka idamillai. Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.

20 Thunmaarkkan uyirotirukkira naalellaam thunpaththaal vaathikkappadukiraan; palavanthampannnukiravanukku avan varushangalin thokai maraikkappattirukkirathu. The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

21 Payangaramaana saththam avan kaathukalil thonikkirathu; avan samaathaanamaayirukkaiyil paalaakkiravan avanmael varuvaan. A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

22 Irulilirunthu thirumpivara avanukku nampikkaiyillaamal, pathivirukkiravarkalin pattayaththukku avan payappadukiraan. He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

23 Appam engae kitaikkumentu avan alainthu thirikiraan; anthakaaranaal thanakkuch sameepiththirukkirathai arivaan. He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

24 Ikkattum nerukkamum avanaik kalangappannnni, yuththasannaththanaana raajaavaippola avanai maerkollum. Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

25 Avan thaevanukku virothamaakak kaineetti, sarvavallavarukku virothamaakap paraakkiramam paaraattukiraan. For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.

26 Katinakkaluththodum, paruththa kumilulla than kaedayangalodum avarukku ethiraaka odukiraan. He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:

27 Avan mukaththaik koluppu mootiyirukkirathu; ativayiraு thonthi vittirukkirathu. Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.

28 Aanaalum paalaana pattanangalilum, kutipona karkuviyalaana veedukalilum vaasampannnuvaan. And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.

29 Avan aisuvariyavaanaavathumillai, avan aasthi nilaippathumillai, appatippattavarkalin selvam poomiyil neetiththiruppathillai. He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.

30 Irulukku avan thappuvathillai; akkini juvaalai avanutaiya kilaiyaik kaaynthupokappannnum; avarutaiya vaayin suvaasaththaal attaுppovaan. He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.

31 Valithappinavan maayaiyai nampaanaaka; nampinaal maayaiyae avan palanaayirukkum. Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.

32 Athu avan naal varumunnae avanukkup pooranamaayp palikkum; avanutaiya koppup pachchaைkolvathillai. It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.

33 Pinjukal uthirnthupokira thiraatchachchetiyaippolavum, pookkal uthirnthu pokira olivamaraththaippolavum avan iruppaan. He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

34 Maayakkaararin koottam veraுmaiyaayp pom; parithaanam vaanginavarkalin koodaarangalai akkini patchikkum. For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

35 Appatippattavan aniyaayaththaik karppanthariththu, akkiramaththaip peraுkiraan; avarkal karppam maayaiyaip pirappikkum entan. They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
