Jeremiah 36 in Tamil

1 யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீம் என்னும் யூதா ராஜாவின் நாலாம் வருஷத்திலே கர்த்தரால் எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டான வார்த்தை என்னவென்றால்: And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 நீ ஒரு புஸ்தகச் சுருளை எடுத்து, யோசியாவின் நாட்களிலே நான் உன்னுடனே பேசின நாள் முதற்கொண்டு இந்நாள்மட்டும் இஸ்ரவேலைக்குறித்தும், யூதாவைக்குறித்தும், சகல ஜாதிகளைக் குறித்தும் உன்னோடே சொன்ன எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் அதிலே எழுது. Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

3 யூதாவின் குடும்பத்தார், அவரவர் தங்கள் பொல்லாத வழியைவிட்டுத் திரும்பும்படியாகவும், தங்களுக்கு நான் செய்ய நினைத்திருக்கிற தீங்குகளைக் குறித்து ஒருவேளை அவர்கள் கேட்பார்கள் என்றார். It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

4 அப்பொழுது எரேமியா நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்கை அழைத்தான்; பாருக்கு என்பவன் கர்த்தர் எரேமியாவுடனே சொல்லிவந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் அவன் வாய் சொல்ல ஒரு புஸ்தகச் சுருளில் எழுதினான். Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

5 பின்பு எரேமியா பாருக்கை நோக்கி: நான் அடைக்கப்பட்டவன்; நான் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கக் கூடாது. And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:

6 நீ உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, என் வாய் சொல்ல நீ எழுதின சுருளிலுள்ள கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் உபவாச நாளிலே ஜனங்களுடைய செவிகள் கேட்க வாசிப்பதுமன்றி, தங்கள் பட்டணங்களிலிருந்து வருகிற எல்லா யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரும் கேட்கும்படி அவைகளை வாசிப்பாயாக. Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

7 ஒருவேளை அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகப் பணிந்து விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி, அவரவர் தங்கள் பொல்லாத வழியை விட்டுத் திரும்புவார்கள்; கர்த்தர் இந்த ஜனத்துக்கு விரோதமாகக் கூறியிருக்கிற கோபமும் உக்கிரமும் பெரியது என்று சொன்னான். It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

8 அப்படியே நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்கு அந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில், கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளை வாசிக்கும்படி எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி தனக்குக் கற்பித்தபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான். And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.

9 யோசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீம் என்னும் யூதா ராஜாவின் ஐந்தாம் வருஷத்து ஒன்பதாம் மாதத்திலே, எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற எல்லா ஜனத்துக்கும், யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்கு வருகிற எல்லா ஜனத்துக்கும், கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக உபவாசம் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று கூறப்பட்டது. And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

10 அப்பொழுது பாருக்கு கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் மேற்பிராகாரத்தில், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்து வாசலின் நடைக்கு அருகான சாப்பானுடைய குமாரனாகிய கெமரியா என்னும் சம்பிரதியின் அறையிலே, அந்தப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ள எரேமியாவின் வார்த்தைகளை ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் கேட்க வாசித்தான். Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.

11 சாப்பானுடைய குமாரனாகிய கெமரியாவின் மகன் மிகாயா அந்தப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ள கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் வாசிக்கக் கேட்டபோது, When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,

12 அவன் ராஜாவின் அரமனைக்குப் போய், சம்பிரதியின் அறையில் பிரவேசித்தான்; இதோ, அங்கே எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களும் சம்பிரதியாகிய எலிசாமாவும் செமாயாவின் குமாரன் குமாரனாகிய தெலாயாவும், அக்போரின் குமாரனாகிய எஸ்தாத்தனும், சாப்பனின் குமாரனாகிய கெமரியாவும், அனனியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சிதேக்கியாவும், மற்ற எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களும் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள். Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

13 பாருக்கு ஜனத்தின் செவிகள் கேட்கப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ளவைகளை வாசிக்கையில், தான் கேட்ட எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் மிகாயா அவர்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்தான். Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

14 அப்பொழுது எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களும் கூஷியின் குமாரனாகிய செலேமியாவின் மகனான நெத்தானியாவினுடைய குமாரனாயிருக்கிற யெகுதியைப் பாருக்கினிடத்தில் அனுப்பி, ஜனங்கள் கேட்க நீ வாசித்துக்கொண்டிருந்த சுருளை உன் கையில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டுவா என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னார்கள்; ஆகையால் நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்கு சுருளைத் தன் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களிடத்துக்கு வந்தான். Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

15 அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டு, நாங்கள் கேட்க வாசியென்றார்கள்; அவர்கள் கேட்க வாசித்தான். And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

16 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் கேட்கையில் பயமுற்றவர்களாய் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து, பாருக்கை நோக்கி: இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் ராஜாவுக்கு நிச்சயமாய் அறிவிப்போம் என்றார்கள். Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

17 அவன் வாய் சொல்ல, நீ இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் எவ்விதமாய் எழுதினாய் அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல் என்று பாருக்கைக் கேட்டார்கள். And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

18 அதற்கு பாருக்கு: அவர் தமது வாயினால் இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் உரைத்து, என்னுடனே சொன்னார், நான் மையினால் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதினேன் என்றான். Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

19 அப்பொழுது பிரபுக்கள் பாருக்கை நோக்கி: நீயும் எரேமியாவும் போய் ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் இருக்கும் இடத்தை ஒருவரும் அறியப்படாது என்று சொல்லி, Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

20 சுருளைச் சம்பிரதியாகிய எலிசாமாவின் அறையிலே வைத்து, ராஜாவினிடத்துக்கு அரமனையிலே போய், ராஜாவின் செவிகளுக்கு இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அறிவித்தார்கள். And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

21 அப்பொழுது ராஜா அந்தச் சுருளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவர யெகுதியை அனுப்பினான்; யெகுதி அதைச் சம்பிரதியாகிய எலிசாமாவின் அறையிலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, ராஜா கேட்கவும், ராஜாவினிடத்தில் நின்ற எல்லாப் பிரபுக்களும் கேட்கவும் வாசித்தான். So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

22 ஒன்பதாம் மாதத்திலே ராஜா, குளிர்காலத்துக்குத் தங்கும் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்; அவனுக்கு முன்பாகக் கணப்பு மூட்டியிருந்தது. Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

23 யெகுதி மூன்று நாலு பத்திகளை வாசித்த பின்பு, ராஜா ஒரு சூரிக்கத்தியினால் அதை அறுத்து, சுருளனைத்தும் கணப்பிலுள்ள அக்கினியிலே வெந்து போகும்படி, கணப்பிலிருந்த அக்கினியில் எறிந்துபோட்டான். And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

24 ராஜாவாயினும் அந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் கேட்ட அவனுடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரராயினும் பயப்படவுமில்லை, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்துக்கொள்ளவுமில்லை. Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

25 எல்நாத்தானும், தெலாயாவும், கெமரியாவுமோ: அந்தச் சுருளைச் சுட்டெரிக்க வேண்டாம் என்று ராஜாவினிடத்தில் விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணினார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்களுக்கு அவன் செவிகொடாமல், Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

26 பாருக்கு என்னும் சம்பிரதியையும் எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசியையும் பிடிக்கும்படிக்கு, ராஜா அம்மெலேகின் குமாரனாகிய யொமெயேலுக்கும், அஸ்ரியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செராயாவுக்கும், அப்தெயேலின் குமாரனாகிய செலேமியாவுக்கும் கட்டளை கொடுத்தான்; ஆனாலும் கர்த்தர் அவர்களை மறைத்தார். But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

27 ராஜா அந்தச் சுருளையும், அதிலே எரேமியாவின் வாய் சொல்லப் பாருக்கு எழுதியிருந்த வார்த்தைகளையும் சுட்டெரித்த பின்பு, எரேமியாவுக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாகி, அவர்: Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

28 நீ திரும்ப வேறொரு சுருளை எடுத்து, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீம் சுட்டெரித்த முதலாம் சுருளிலிருந்த முந்தின வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அதிலே எழுது என்றார். Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

29 மேலும் நீ யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீமை நோக்கி: பாபிலோன் ராஜா நிச்சயமாய் வருவான் என்பதையும், அவன் இந்தத் தேசத்தை அழித்து அதிலிருந்து மனுஷரையும் மிருகங்களையும் ஒழியப்பண்ணுவான் என்பதையும் நீ அதில் எழுதினதேதென்று சொல்லி, அந்தச் சுருளை நீ சுட்டெரித்தாயே என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

30 ஆகையால் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீமைக் குறித்து; தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்காரும்படி அவன் வம்சத்தில் ஒருவனும் இரான்; அவனுடைய பிரேதமோவென்றால், பகலின் உஷ்ணத்துக்கும் இரவின் குளிருக்கும் எறிந்துவிடப்பட்டுக்கிடக்கும். Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

31 நான் அவனிடத்திலும், அவன் சந்ததியினிடத்திலும், அவன் பிரபுக்களினிடத்திலும் அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை விசாரித்து, அவன்மேலும் எருசலேமின் குடிகள்மேலும், யூதா மனுஷர்மேலும், நான் அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னதும், அவர்கள் கேளாமற்போனதுமான தீங்கனைத்தையும் வரப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார். And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

32 அப்பொழுது எரேமியா வேறொரு சுருளை எடுத்து, அதை நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்கு என்னும் சம்பிரதியினிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்; அவன் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீம் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்த புஸ்தகத்தின் வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம், அதிலே எரேமியாவின் வாய் சொல்ல எழுதினான்; இன்னும் அவைகளுக்கொத்த அநேகம் வார்த்தைகளும் அவைகளோடே சேர்க்கப்பட்டது. Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

1 Yosiyaavin kumaaranaakiya yoyaakgeem ennum yoothaa raajaavin naalaam varushaththilae karththaraal eraemiyaavukku unndaana vaarththai ennavental: And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Nee oru pusthakach surulai eduththu, yosiyaavin naatkalilae naan unnudanae paesina naal mutharkonndu innaalmattum isravaelaikkuriththum, yoothaavaikkuriththum, sakala jaathikalaik kuriththum unnotae sonna ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum athilae eluthu. Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

3 Yoothaavin kudumpaththaar, avaravar thangal pollaatha valiyaivittuth thirumpumpatiyaakavum, thangalukku naan seyya ninaiththirukkira theengukalaik kuriththu oruvaelai avarkal kaetpaarkal entar. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

4 Appoluthu eraemiyaa naeriyaavin kumaaranaakiya paarukkai alaiththaan; paarukku enpavan Karththar eraemiyaavudanae sollivantha ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum avan vaay solla oru pusthakach surulil eluthinaan. Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

5 Pinpu eraemiyaa paarukkai Nnokki: naan ataikkappattavan; naan karththarutaiya aalayaththukkul piravaesikkak koodaathu. And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:

6 Nee ullae piravaesiththu, en vaay solla nee eluthina surulilulla karththarutaiya vaarththaikalaik karththarutaiya aalayaththil upavaasa naalilae janangalutaiya sevikal kaetka vaasippathumanti, thangal pattanangalilirunthu varukira ellaa yoothaa koththiraththaarum kaetkumpati avaikalai vaasippaayaaka. Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

7 Oruvaelai avarkal karththarutaiya mukaththukku munpaakap panninthu vinnnappampannnni, avaravar thangal pollaatha valiyai vittuth thirumpuvaarkal; Karththar intha janaththukku virothamaakak kooriyirukkira kopamum ukkiramum periyathu entu sonnaan. It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

8 Appatiyae naeriyaavin kumaaranaakiya paarukku anthap pusthakaththil, karththarutaiya aalayaththil, karththarutaiya vaarththaikalai vaasikkumpati eraemiyaa theerkkatharisi thanakkuk karpiththapatiyellaam seythaan. And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.

9 Yosiyaavin kumaaranaakiya yoyaakgeem ennum yoothaa raajaavin ainthaam varushaththu onpathaam maathaththilae, erusalaemilirukkira ellaa janaththukkum, yoothaavin pattanangalilirunthu erusalaemukku varukira ellaa janaththukkum, karththarukku munpaaka upavaasam seyyavaenndumentu koorappattathu. And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

10 Appoluthu paarukku karththarutaiya aalayaththin maerpiraakaaraththil, karththarutaiya aalayaththu vaasalin nataikku arukaana saappaanutaiya kumaaranaakiya kemariyaa ennum sampirathiyin araiyilae, anthap pusthakaththilulla eraemiyaavin vaarththaikalai janangal ellaarum kaetka vaasiththaan. Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.

11 Saappaanutaiya kumaaranaakiya kemariyaavin makan mikaayaa anthap pusthakaththilulla karththarutaiya vaarththaikalaiyellaam vaasikkak kaettapothu, When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,

12 Avan raajaavin aramanaikkup poy, sampirathiyin araiyil piravaesiththaan; itho, angae ellaap pirapukkalum sampirathiyaakiya elisaamaavum semaayaavin kumaaran kumaaranaakiya thelaayaavum, akporin kumaaranaakiya esthaaththanum, saappanin kumaaranaakiya kemariyaavum, ananiyaavin kumaaranaakiya sithaekkiyaavum, matta ellaap pirapukkalum utkaarnthirunthaarkal. Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

13 Paarukku janaththin sevikal kaetkap pusthakaththilullavaikalai vaasikkaiyil, thaan kaetta ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum mikaayaa avarkalukkuth theriviththaan. Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

14 Appoluthu ellaap pirapukkalum kooshiyin kumaaranaakiya selaemiyaavin makanaana neththaaniyaavinutaiya kumaaranaayirukkira yekuthiyaip paarukkinidaththil anuppi, janangal kaetka nee vaasiththukkonntiruntha surulai un kaiyil eduththuk konnduvaa entu sollach sonnaarkal; aakaiyaal naeriyaavin kumaaranaakiya paarukku surulaith than kaiyil eduththukkonndu, avarkalidaththukku vanthaan. Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

15 Avarkal avanai Nnokki: nee utkaarnthukonndu, naangal kaetka vaasiyentarkal; avarkal kaetka vaasiththaan. And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

16 Appoluthu avarkal ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum kaetkaiyil payamuttavarkalaay oruvaraiyoruvar paarththu, paarukkai Nnokki: intha ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum raajaavukku nichchayamaay arivippom entarkal. Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

17 Avan vaay solla, nee intha vaarththaikalaiyellaam evvithamaay eluthinaay athai engalukkuch sol entu paarukkaik kaettarkal. And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

18 Atharku paarukku: avar thamathu vaayinaal intha ellaa vaarththaikalaiyum uraiththu, ennudanae sonnaar, naan maiyinaal pusthakaththil eluthinaen entan. Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

19 Appoluthu pirapukkal paarukkai Nnokki: neeyum eraemiyaavum poy oliththukkollungal; neengal irukkum idaththai oruvarum ariyappadaathu entu solli, Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

20 Surulaich sampirathiyaakiya elisaamaavin araiyilae vaiththu, raajaavinidaththukku aramanaiyilae poy, raajaavin sevikalukku intha vaarththaikalaiyellaam ariviththaarkal. And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

21 Appoluthu raajaa anthach surulai eduththukkonnduvara yekuthiyai anuppinaan; yekuthi athaich sampirathiyaakiya elisaamaavin araiyilirunthu eduththukkonnduvanthu, raajaa kaetkavum, raajaavinidaththil ninta ellaap pirapukkalum kaetkavum vaasiththaan. So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

22 Onpathaam maathaththilae raajaa, kulirkaalaththukkuth thangum veettil utkaarnthirunthaan; avanukku munpaakak kanappu moottiyirunthathu. Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

23 Yekuthi moontu naalu paththikalai vaasiththa pinpu, raajaa oru soorikkaththiyinaal athai araுththu, surulanaiththum kanappilulla akkiniyilae venthu pokumpati, kanappiliruntha akkiniyil erinthupottan. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

24 Raajaavaayinum antha vaarththaikalaiyellaam kaetta avanutaiya sakala ooliyakkaararaayinum payappadavumillai, thangal vasthirangalaik kiliththukkollavumillai. Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

25 Elnaaththaanum, thelaayaavum, kemariyaavumo: anthach surulaich sutterikka vaenndaam entu raajaavinidaththil vinnnappam pannnninaarkal; aanaalum avarkalukku avan sevikodaamal, Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

26 Paarukku ennum sampirathiyaiyum eraemiyaa theerkkatharisiyaiyum pitikkumpatikku, raajaa ammelaekin kumaaranaakiya yomeyaelukkum, asriyaelin kumaaranaakiya seraayaavukkum, aptheyaelin kumaaranaakiya selaemiyaavukkum kattalai koduththaan; aanaalum Karththar avarkalai maraiththaar. But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

27 Raajaa anthach surulaiyum, athilae eraemiyaavin vaay sollap paarukku eluthiyiruntha vaarththaikalaiyum sutteriththa pinpu, eraemiyaavukkuk karththarutaiya vaarththai unndaaki, avar: Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

28 Nee thirumpa vaeroru surulai eduththu, yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoyaakgeem sutteriththa muthalaam suruliliruntha munthina vaarththaikalaiyellaam athilae eluthu entar. Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

29 Maelum nee yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoyaakgeemai Nnokki: paapilon raajaa nichchayamaay varuvaan enpathaiyum, avan inthath thaesaththai aliththu athilirunthu manusharaiyum mirukangalaiyum oliyappannnuvaan enpathaiyum nee athil eluthinathaethentu solli, anthach surulai nee sutteriththaayae entu Karththar sollukiraar. And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

30 Aakaiyaal yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoyaakgeemaik kuriththu; thaaveethin singaasanaththinmael utkaarumpati avan vamsaththil oruvanum iraan; avanutaiya piraethamovental, pakalin ushnaththukkum iravin kulirukkum erinthuvidappattukkidakkum. Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

31 Naan avanidaththilum, avan santhathiyinidaththilum, avan pirapukkalinidaththilum avarkal akkiramaththai visaariththu, avanmaelum erusalaemin kutikalmaelum, yoothaa manusharmaelum, naan avarkalukkuch sonnathum, avarkal kaelaamarponathumaana theenganaiththaiyum varappannnuvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar entu sol entar. And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

32 Appoluthu eraemiyaa vaeroru surulai eduththu, athai naeriyaavin kumaaranaakiya paarukku ennum sampirathiyinidaththil koduththaan; avan yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoyaakgeem akkiniyaal sutteriththa pusthakaththin vaarththaikalaiyellaam, athilae eraemiyaavin vaay solla eluthinaan; innum avaikalukkoththa anaekam vaarththaikalum avaikalotae serkkappattathu. Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
