Deuteronomy 32 in Tamil

1 வானங்களே, செவிகொடுங்கள், நான் பேசுவேன்; பூமியே, என் வாய்மொழிகளைக் கேட்பாயாக. Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 மழையானது இளம்பயிரின்மேல் பொழிவதுபோல, என் உபதேசம் பொழியும்; பனித்துளிகள் புல்லின்மேல் இறங்குவதுபோல, என் வசனம் இறங்கும். My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3 கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை பிரசித்தம்பண்ணுவேன்; நம்முடைய தேவனுக்கு மகத்துவத்தைச் செலுத்துங்கள். Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4 அவர் கன்மலை; அவர் கிரியை உத்தமமானது; அவர் வழிகளெல்லாம் நியாயம், அவர் நியாயக்கேடில்லாத சத்தியமுள்ள தேவன்; அவர் நீதியும் செம்மையுமானவர். He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

5 அவர்களே தங்களைக் கெடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள், அவர்கள் அவருடைய பிள்ளைகள் அல்ல; இதுவே அவர்கள் காரியம்; அவர்கள் மாறுபாடும் தாறுமாறுமுள்ள சந்ததியார். They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

6 விவேகமில்லாத மதிகெட்ட ஜனங்களே; இப்படியா கர்த்தருக்குப் பதிலளிக்கிறீர்கள். உன்னை ஆட்கொண்டபிதா அவரல்லவா? உன்னை உண்டாக்கி உன்னை நிலைப்படுத்தினவர் அவரல்லவா? Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

7 பூர்வநாட்களை நினை; தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாய்ச் சென்ற வருஷங்களைக் கவனித்துப்பார்; உன் தகப்பனைக் கேள், அவன் உனக்கு அறிவிப்பான்; உன் மூப்பர்களைக் கேள், அவர்கள் உனக்குச் சொல்லுவார்கள். Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

8 உன்னதமானவர் ஜாதிகளுக்குச் சுதந்தரங்களைப் பங்கிட்டு, ஆதாமின் புத்திரரை வெவ்வேறாய்ப் பிரித்தகாலத்தில், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய தொகைக்குத்தக்கதாய், சர்வஜனங்களின் எல்லைகளைத் திட்டம்பண்ணினார். When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9 கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமே அவருடைய பங்கு; யாக்கோபு அவருடைய சுதந்தரவீதம். For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

10 பாழான நிலத்திலும் ஊளையிடுதலுள்ள வெறுமையான அவாந்தர வெளியிலும் அவர் அவனைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார், அவனை நடத்தினார், அவனை உணர்த்தினார், அவனைத் தமது கண்மணியைப்போலக் காத்தருளினார். He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

11 கழுகு தன் கூட்டைக் கலைத்து, தன் குஞ்சுகளின்மேல் அசைவாடி, தன் செட்டைகளை விரித்து, அவைகளை எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தன் செட்டைகளின்மேல் சுமந்துகொண்டுபோகிறதுபோல, As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

12 கர்த்தர் ஒருவரே அவனை வழி நடத்தினார்; அந்நிய தேவன் அவரோடே இருந்ததில்லை. So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

13 பூமியிலுள்ள உயர்ந்த ஸ்தானங்களின்மேல் அவனை ஏறிவரப்பண்ணினார்; வயலில் விளையும் பலனை அவனுக்குப் புசிக்கக் கொடுத்தார்; கன்மலையிலுள்ள தேனையும், கற்பாறையிலிருந்து வடியும் எண்ணெயையும் அவன் உண்ணும்படி செய்தார். He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14 பசுவின் வெண்ணெயையும், ஆட்டின் பாலையும், பாசானில் மேயும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்கள் வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்கள் இவைகளுடைய கொழுப்பையும், கொழுமையான கோதுமையையும், இரத்தம்போன்ற சுயமான திராட்சரசத்தையும் சாப்பிட்டாய். Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

15 யெஷூரன் கொழுத்துப்போய் உதைத்தான், கொழுத்து, ஸ்தூலித்து, நிணம் துன்னினபோது, தன்னை உண்டாக்கின தேவனை விட்டு, தன் ரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையை அசட்டைபண்ணினான். But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

16 அந்நிய தேவர்களால் அவருக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டினார்கள்; அருவருப்பானவைகளினால் அவரைக் கோபப்படுத்தினார்கள். They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 அவர்கள் தேவனுக்குபύ பலியிடவில்Ҡψ; தாங்கள் அறியாதவைகளும், தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் பயப்படாதவைகளும், நூதனமாய்த் தோன்றிய புது தெய்வங்களுமாகிய பேய்களுக்கே பலியிட்டார்கள். They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

18 உன்னை ஜெநிப்பித்த கன்மலையை நீ நினையாமற்போனாய்; உன்னைப் பெற்ற தேவனை மறந்தாய். Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19 கர்த்தர் அதைக் கண்டு, தமது குமாரரும் தமது குமாரத்திகளும் தம்மைக் கோபப்படுத்தினதினிமித்தம் மனமடிவாகி, அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து: And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

20 என் முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு மறைப்பேன்; அவர்களுடைய முடிவு எப்படியிருக்கும் என்று பார்ப்பேன்; அவர்கள் மகா மாறுபாடுள்ள சந்ததி; உண்மையில்லாத பிள்ளைகள். And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

21 தெய்வம் அல்லாதவைகளில் எனக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டி, தங்கள் மாயைகளினால் என்னைக் கோபப்படுத்தினார்கள்; ஆகையால் மதிக்கப்படாத ஜனங்களினால் அவர்களுக்கு எரிச்சலை உண்டாக்கி, மதிகெட்ட ஜாதியினால் அவர்களைக் கோபப்படுத்துவேன். They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 என் கோபத்தினால் அக்கினி பற்றிக்கொண்டது, அது தாழ்ந்த நரகமட்டும் எரியும்; அது பூமியையும் அதின் பலனையும் அழித்து, பர்வதங்களின் அஸ்திபாரங்களை வேகப்பண்ணும். For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23 தீங்குகளை அவர்கள்மேல் குவிப்பேன்; என்னுடைய அம்புகளையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரயோகிப்பேன். I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

24 அவர்கள் பசியினால் வாடி, எரிபந்தமான உஷ்ணத்தினாலும், கொடிய வாதையினாலும் மாண்டுபோவார்கள்; துஷ்டமிருகங்களின் பற்களையும், தரையில் ஊரும் பாம்புகளின் விஷத்தையும் அவர்களுக்குள் அனுப்புவேன். They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

25 வெளியிலே பட்டயமும், உள்ளே பயங்கரமும், வாலிபனையும் கன்னியையும் குழந்தையையும் நரைத்த கிழவனையும் அழிக்கும். The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

26 எங்கள் கை உயர்ந்ததென்றும், கர்த்தர் இதையெல்லாம் செய்யவில்லை என்றும் அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் தப்பெண்ணங்கொண்டு சொல்லுவார்கள் என்று, I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

27 நான் சத்துருவின் குரோதத்திற்கு அஞ்சாதிருந்தேனானால், நான் அவர்களை மூலைக்குமூலை சிதற அடித்து, மனிதருக்குள் அவர்களுடைய பெயர் அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று சொல்லியிருப்பேன். Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

28 அவர்கள் யோசனைகெட்ட ஜாதி, அவர்களுக்கு உணர்வு இல்லை. For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

29 அவர்கள் ஞானமடைந்து, இதை உணர்ந்து, தங்கள் முடிவைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டால் நலமாயிருக்கும் என்றார். O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

30 அவர்களுடைய கன்மலை அவர்களை விற்காமலும், கர்த்தர் அவர்களை ஒப்புக்கொடாமலும் இருந்தாரானால், ஒருவன் ஆயிரம்பேரைத் துரத்தி, இரண்டுபேர் பதினாயிரம்பேரை ஓட்டுவதெப்படி? How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

31 தங்கள் கன்மலை நம்முடைய கன்மலையைப்போல் அல்ல என்று நம்முடைய சத்துருக்களே தீர்மானிக்கிறார்கள். For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

32 அவர்களுடைய திராட்சச்செடி, சோதோமிலும் கொமோரா நிலங்களிலும் பயிரான திராட்சச்செடியிலும் தாழ்ந்த ஜாதியாயிருக்கிறது, அவைகளின் பழங்கள் பித்தும் அவைகளின் குலைகள் கசப்புமாய் இருக்கிறது. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

33 அவர்களுடைய திராட்சரசம் வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் விஷமும் விரியன் பாம்புகளின் கொடிய விஷமுமானது. Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34 இது என்னிடத்தில் வைத்துவைக்கப்பட்டு, என் பொக்கிஷங்களில் இது முத்திரை போடப்பட்டிருக்கிறதில்லையோ? Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?

35 பழிவாங்குவதும் பதிலளிப்பதும் எனக்கு உரியது; ஏற்றகாலத்தில் அவர்களுடைய கால் தள்ளாடும்; அவர்களுடைய ஆபத்துநாள் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுக்கு நேரிடும் காரியங்கள் தீவிரித்து வரும். To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

36 கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்த்து, அவர்கள் பெலன்போயிற்றென்றும், அடைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாவது விடுதலை பெற்றவர்களாவது ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்றும் காணும்போது, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்மேல் பரிதாபப்படுவார். For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

37 அப்பொழுது அவர்: அவர்கள் பலியிட்ட பலிகளின் கொழுப்பைத் தின்று, பானபலிகளின் திராட்சரசத்தைக்குடித்த அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களும் அவர்கள் நம்பின கன்மலையும் எங்கே? And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,

38 அவைகள் எழுந்து உங்களுக்குச் சகாயம்பண்ணின உங்களுக்கு மறைவிடமாயிருக்கட்டும். Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

39 நான் நானே அவர், என்னோடே வேறே தேவன் இல்லை என்பதை இப்பொழுது பாருங்கள்; நான் கொல்லுகிறேன், நான் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறேன்; நான் காயப்படுத்துகிறேன், நான் சொஸ்தப்படுத்துகிறேன்; என் கைக்குத் தப்புவிப்பார் இல்லை. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

40 நான் என் கரத்தை வானத்திற்குநேராக உயர்த்தி, நான் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஜீவித்திருக்கிறவர் என்கிறேன். For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

41 மின்னும் என் பட்டயத்தை நான் கருக்காக்கி, என் கையானது நியாயத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுமானால், என் சத்துருக்களிடத்தில் பழிவாங்கி, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்குப் பதிலளிப்பேன். If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

42 கொலையுண்டும் சிறைப்பட்டும் போனவர்களுடைய இரத்தத்தாலே என் அம்புகளை வெறிகொள்ளப்பண்ணுவேன்; என் பட்டயம் தலைவர் முதற்கொண்டு சகல சத்துருக்களின் மாம்சத்தையும் பட்சிக்கும். I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

43 ஜாதிகளே, அவருடைய ஜனங்களோடேகூடக் களிகூருங்கள்; அவர் தமது ஊழியக்காரரின் இரத்தத்திற்குப் பழிவாங்கி, தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களுக்குப் பதிலளித்து, தமது தேசத்தின்மேலும் தமது ஜனங்களின்மேலும் கிருபையுள்ளவராவார். Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

44 மோசேயும் நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவும் வந்து, இந்தப் பாட்டின் வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் ஜனங்கள் கேட்கத்தக்கதாகச் சொன்னார்கள். And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.

45 மோசே இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலர் யாவருக்கும் சொல்லிமுடித்தபின்பு, And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

46 அவர்களை நோக்கி: இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாண வார்த்தைகளின்படியெல்லாம் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் செய்யும்படி கவனமாயிருக்க, நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கும்படி, நான் இன்று உங்களுக்குச்சாட்சியாய் ஒப்புவிக்கிற வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் உங்கள் மனதிலே வையுங்கள். And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

47 இது உங்களுக்கு வியர்த்தமான காரியம் அல்லவே; இது உங்கள் ஜீவனாயிருக்கிறது, நீங்கள் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோய்ச் சேரும்தேசத்தில் இதினால் உங்கள் நாட்களை நீடிக்கப்பண்ணுவீர்கள் என்றான். For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

48 அந்த நாளிலேதானே கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,

49 நீ எரிகோவுக்கு எதிரான மோவாப் தேசத்திலுள்ள இந்த அபாரீம் என்னும் மலைகளிலிருக்கிற நேபோ பர்வதத்திலேறி, நான் இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாருக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுக்கும் கானான் தேசத்தைப் பார்; Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

50 நீங்கள் சீன் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள காதேசிலே மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர் சமீபத்தில் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே என்னைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணாமல், அவர்கள் நடுவே என் கட்டளைகளை மீறினதினாலே, And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

51 உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலே மரித்து, தன் ஜனத்தாரிடத்தில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டதுபோல நீயும் ஏறப்போகிற மலையிலே மரித்து, உன் ஜனத்தாரிடத்தில் சேர்க்கப்படுவாய். Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

52 நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்போகிற எதிரேயிருக்கிற தேசத்தை நீ பார்ப்பாய்; ஆனாலும் அதற்குள் நீ பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை என்றார். Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.

1 Vaanangalae, sevikodungal, naan paesuvaen; poomiyae, en vaaymolikalaik kaetpaayaaka. Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 Malaiyaanathu ilampayirinmael polivathupola, en upathaesam poliyum; paniththulikal pullinmael iranguvathupola, en vasanam irangum. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3 Karththarutaiya naamaththai pirasiththampannnuvaen; nammutaiya thaevanukku makaththuvaththaich seluththungal. Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4 Avar kanmalai; avar kiriyai uththamamaanathu; avar valikalellaam niyaayam, avar niyaayakkaetillaatha saththiyamulla Dhevan; avar neethiyum semmaiyumaanavar. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

5 Avarkalae thangalaik keduththukkonndaarkal, avarkal avarutaiya pillaikal alla; ithuvae avarkal kaariyam; avarkal maaraுpaadum thaaraுmaaraுmulla santhathiyaar. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

6 Vivaekamillaatha mathiketta janangalae; ippatiyaa karththarukkup pathilalikkireerkal. Unnai aatkonndapithaa avarallavaa? Unnai unndaakki unnai nilaippaduththinavar avarallavaa? Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

7 Poorvanaatkalai ninai; thalaimurai thalaimuraiyaaych senta varushangalaik kavaniththuppaar; un thakappanaik kael, avan unakku arivippaan; un moopparkalaik kael, avarkal unakkuch solluvaarkal. Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

8 Unnathamaanavar jaathikalukkuch suthantharangalaip pangittu, aathaamin puththirarai vevvaeraayp piriththakaalaththil, Israel puththirarutaiya thokaikkuththakkathaay, sarvajanangalin ellaikalaith thittampannnninaar. 9 Karththarutaiya janamae avarutaiya pangu; yaakkopu avarutaiya suthantharaveetham. For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

10 Paalaana nilaththilum oolaiyiduthalulla veraுmaiyaana avaanthara veliyilum avar avanaik kanndupitiththaar, avanai nadaththinaar, avanai unarththinaar, avanaith thamathu kannmanniyaippolak kaaththarulinaar. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

11 Kaluku than koottaைk kalaiththu, than kunjukalinmael asaivaati, than settaைkalai viriththu, avaikalai eduththu, avaikalaith than settaைkalinmael sumanthukonndupokirathupola, As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

12 Karththar oruvarae avanai vali nadaththinaar; anniya Dhevan avarotae irunthathillai. So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

13 Poomiyilulla uyarntha sthaanangalinmael avanai aerivarappannnninaar; vayalil vilaiyum palanai avanukkup pusikkak koduththaar; kanmalaiyilulla thaenaiyum, karpaaraiyilirunthu vatiyum ennnneyaiyum avan unnnumpati seythaar. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14 Pasuvin vennnneyaiyum, aattin paalaiyum, paasaanil maeyum aattukkuttikal aattukkadaakkal vellaattukkadaakkal ivaikalutaiya koluppaiyum, kolumaiyaana kothumaiyaiyum, iraththamponta suyamaana thiraatcharasaththaiyum saappittay. 15 Yeshooran koluththuppoy uthaiththaan, koluththu, sthooliththu, ninam thunninapothu, thannai unndaakkina thaevanai vittu, than ratchippin kanmalaiyai asattaைpannnninaan. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

16 Anniya thaevarkalaal avarukku erichchalai moottinaarkal; aruvaruppaanavaikalinaal avaraik kopappaduththinaarkal. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 Avarkal thaevanukkupaύ paliyidavilҠψ; thaangal ariyaathavaikalum, thangal pithaakkal payappadaathavaikalum, noothanamaayth thontiya puthu theyvangalumaakiya paeykalukkae paliyittarkal. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

18 Unnai jenippiththa kanmalaiyai nee ninaiyaamarponaay; unnaip petta thaevanai maranthaay. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19 Karththar athaik kanndu, thamathu kumaararum thamathu kumaaraththikalum thammaik kopappaduththinathinimiththam manamativaaki, avarkalaip purakkanniththu: And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

20 En mukaththai avarkalukku maraippaen; avarkalutaiya mutivu eppatiyirukkum entu paarppaen; avarkal makaa maaraுpaadulla santhathi; unnmaiyillaatha pillaikal. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

21 Theyvam allaathavaikalil enakku erichchalai mootti, thangal maayaikalinaal ennaik kopappaduththinaarkal; aakaiyaal mathikkappadaatha janangalinaal avarkalukku erichchalai unndaakki, mathiketta jaathiyinaal avarkalaik kopappaduththuvaen. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 En kopaththinaal akkini pattikkonndathu, athu thaalntha narakamattum eriyum; athu poomiyaiyum athin palanaiyum aliththu, parvathangalin asthipaarangalai vaekappannnum. For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23 Theengukalai avarkalmael kuvippaen; ennutaiya ampukalaiyellaam avarkalmael pirayokippaen. I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

24 Avarkal pasiyinaal vaati, eripanthamaana ushnaththinaalum, kotiya vaathaiyinaalum maanndupovaarkal; thushdamirukangalin parkalaiyum, tharaiyil oorum paampukalin vishaththaiyum avarkalukkul anuppuvaen. They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

25 Veliyilae pattayamum, ullae payangaramum, vaalipanaiyum kanniyaiyum kulanthaiyaiyum naraiththa kilavanaiyum alikkum. The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

26 Engal kai uyarnthathentum, Karththar ithaiyellaam seyyavillai entum avarkalutaiya pakainjar thappennnangaொnndu solluvaarkal entu, I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

27 Naan saththuruvin kurothaththirku anjaathirunthaenaanaal, naan avarkalai moolaikkumoolai sithara atiththu, manitharukkul avarkalutaiya peyar attaுppokappannnuvaen entu solliyiruppaen. Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

28 Avarkal yosanaiketta jaathi, avarkalukku unarvu illai. For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

29 Avarkal njaanamatainthu, ithai unarnthu, thangal mutivaich sinthiththukkonndaal nalamaayirukkum entar. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

30 Avarkalutaiya kanmalai avarkalai virkaamalum, Karththar avarkalai oppukkodaamalum irunthaaraanaal, oruvan aayirampaeraith thuraththi, iranndupaer pathinaayirampaerai ottuvatheppati? How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

31 Thangal kanmalai nammutaiya kanmalaiyaippol alla entu nammutaiya saththurukkalae theermaanikkiraarkal. For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

32 Avarkalutaiya thiraatchachcheti, sothomilum komoraa nilangalilum payiraana thiraatchachchetiyilum thaalntha jaathiyaayirukkirathu, avaikalin palangal piththum avaikalin kulaikal kasappumaay irukkirathu. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

33 Avarkalutaiya thiraatcharasam valusarppangalin vishamum viriyan paampukalin kotiya vishamumaanathu. Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34 Ithu ennidaththil vaiththuvaikkappattu, en pokkishangalil ithu muththirai podappattirukkirathillaiyo? Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?

35 Palivaanguvathum pathilalippathum enakku uriyathu; aettakaalaththil avarkalutaiya kaal thallaadum; avarkalutaiya aapaththunaal sameepamaayirukkirathu; avarkalukku naeridum kaariyangal theeviriththu varum. To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

36 Karththar thammutaiya janangalai niyaayantheerththu, avarkal pelanpoyittentum, ataikkappattavarkalaavathu viduthalai pettavarkalaavathu oruvarum illaiyentum kaanumpothu, thammutaiya ooliyakkaararmael parithaapappaduvaar. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

37 Appoluthu avar: avarkal paliyitta palikalin koluppaith thintu, paanapalikalin thiraatcharasaththaikkutiththa avarkalutaiya theyvangalum avarkal nampina kanmalaiyum engae? And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,

38 Avaikal elunthu ungalukkuch sakaayampannnnina ungalukku maraividamaayirukkattum. Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

39 Naan naanae avar, ennotae vaeraே Dhevan illai enpathai ippoluthu paarungal; naan kollukiraேn, naan uyirppikkiraேn; naan kaayappaduththukiraேn, naan sosthappaduththukiraேn; en kaikkuth thappuvippaar illai. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

40 Naan en karaththai vaanaththirkunaeraaka uyarththi, naan ententaikkum jeeviththirukkiravar enkiraேn. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

41 Minnum en pattayaththai naan karukkaakki, en kaiyaanathu niyaayaththaip pitiththukkollumaanaal, en saththurukkalidaththil palivaangi, ennaip pakaikkiravarkalukkup pathilalippaen. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

42 Kolaiyunndum siraippattum ponavarkalutaiya iraththaththaalae en ampukalai verikollappannnuvaen; en pattayam thalaivar mutharkonndu sakala saththurukkalin maamsaththaiyum patchikkum. I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

43 Jaathikalae, avarutaiya janangalotaekoodak kalikoorungal; avar thamathu ooliyakkaararin iraththaththirkup palivaangi, thammutaiya saththurukkalukkup pathilaliththu, thamathu thaesaththinmaelum thamathu janangalinmaelum kirupaiyullavaraavaar. Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

44 Mosesyum noonin kumaaranaakiya yosuvaavum vanthu, inthap paattin vaarththaikalaiyellaam janangal kaetkaththakkathaakach sonnaarkal. And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.

45 Moses intha vaarththaikalaiyellaam isravaelar yaavarukkum sollimutiththapinpu, And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

46 Avarkalai Nnokki: intha niyaayappiramaana vaarththaikalinpatiyellaam ungal pillaikal seyyumpati kavanamaayirukka, neengal avarkalukkuk karpikkumpati, naan intu ungalukkuchchaாtchiyaay oppuvikkira vaarththaikalaiyellaam ungal manathilae vaiyungal. And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

47 Ithu ungalukku viyarththamaana kaariyam allavae; ithu ungal jeevanaayirukkirathu, neengal suthanthariththukkollumpati yorthaanaik kadanthupoych serumthaesaththil ithinaal ungal naatkalai neetikkappannnuveerkal entan. For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

48 Antha naalilaethaanae Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,

49 Nee erikovukku ethiraana movaap thaesaththilulla intha apaareem ennum malaikalilirukkira naepo parvathaththilaeri, naan Israel santhathiyaarukkuk kaanniyaatchiyaakak kodukkum kaanaan thaesaththaip paar; Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

50 Neengal seen vanaantharaththilulla kaathaesilae maeripaavin thannnneer sameepaththil Israel puththirarukkullae ennaip Parisuththampannnnaamal, avarkal naduvae en kattalaikalai meerinathinaalae, And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

51 Un sakotharanaakiya aaron or ennum malaiyilae mariththu, than janaththaaridaththil serkkappattathupola neeyum aerappokira malaiyilae mariththu, un janaththaaridaththil serkkappaduvaay. Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

52 Naan Israel puththirarukkuk kodukkappokira ethiraeyirukkira thaesaththai nee paarppaay; aanaalum atharkul nee piravaesippathillai entar. Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
