அப்படியே அவனுடைய தகப்பனாகிய யோய்தா தனக்குச் செய்த தயையை ராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ் நினையாமல் அவனுடைய குமாரனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; இவன் சாகும்போது: கர்த்தர் அதைப் பார்ப்பார், அதைக் கேட்பார் என்றான்.

யோய்தா தன் மீது காட்டிய கருணையை யோவாஸ் அரசன் நினைவுக்கூரவில்லை. யோய்தா சகரியாவின் தந்தை. எனினும் யோவாஸ், யோய்தாவின் மகனாகிய சகரியவைக் கொன்றான். மரிப்பதற்கு முன்பு சகரியா, “நீ செய்வதை கர்த்தர் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். அவர் உன்னைத் தண்டிப்பார்!” என்றான்.

அவர் தந்தை யோயாதா காட்டிய பேரன்பை மறந்து, அரசர் யோவாசு செக்கரியாவைக் கொல்லச் செய்தார். அவர் இறக்கும்போது, “ஆண்டவர் இதைக் கண்டு பழிவாங்குவாராக!” என்றார்.

Appatiyae avanutaiya thakappanaakiya yoythaa thanakkuch seytha thayaiyai raajaavaakiya yovaas ninaiyaamal avanutaiya kumaaranaik kontupottan; ivan saakumpothu: Karththar athaip paarppaar, athaik kaetpaar entan.

look upon יֵ֥רֶא rāʾâ ra-AH
