அப்பொழுது தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எலியா எழுதின ஒரு நிருபம் அவனிடத்திற்கு வந்தது; அதில்: உம்முடைய தகப்பனான தாவீதின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நீ உன் தகப்பனாகிய யோசபாத்தின் வழிகளிலும், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் வழிகளிலும் நடவாமல்,

எலியா தீர்க்கதரிசியிடமிருந்து யோராம் ஒரு செய்தியைப் பெற்றான். அந்தச் செய்தி சொன்னதாவது: “தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொன்னது இது தான். உனது தந்தையான தாவீது பின்பற்றிய தேவன் இவர்தான். ‘யோராம்! நீ உனது தந்தை யோசபாத் வாழ்ந்த வழியில் வாழவில்லை. யூதாவின் அரசனான ஆசா வாழ்ந்த வழியிலும் நீ வாழவில்லை.
